Lady Gaga in a modern Versace corset dress in Milan: dated or sexy?

Lady GaGa on social media

Here are some photos of Lady Gaga at the Milan premiere of House of Gucci. They sent Gaga solo to promote the film in Italy, which… I don’t know how Italians are really going to react to all of this. Gaga enjoys the fashion part of promotional tours, so I was surprised to see her in something other than Gucci for this Milan premiere – she wore red Versace, a “modern version” of Versace’s iconic corset dress. She looks good. But… as others have noted, it feels like she got her lips done (again) for the promotional tour? At last week’s premiere, she could barely even move her mouth. I don’t get why women do this!

One of the things that surprised me about the critical reaction to House of Gucci is how much love critics are giving to Gaga and Adam Driver’s on-screen chemistry. I would have thought that they would be chalk and cheese, but they seem to enjoy each other off-screen, and they apparently have loads of chemistry on-screen. They were on Graham Norton’s show this weekend and I think I get their vibe – he’s sort of awkward and “yes dear” and she’s over-the-top, which he appreciates because he doesn’t want the spotlight? She also “included” Adam in the trip to Milan – she posted a photo where she’s holding up his Burberry ad.

I can’t wait to see this

What did she do to her face. She has a Kardashian/cat look going on and it’s not good.

  3. L4frimaire says:

She looks like 90s Donatella. I like it.

I like the waist cutouts. As for whether it’s dated: this is something I can imagine Megan Fox wearing circa Jennifer’s Body, or another actress at a 1990s première. 90s fashions are back so I guess this dress is so dated that it’s ‘in’ again.

I hear Adam Driver doesnt like to hear or watch himself, well thats a change in hollywood.

@ Noki, I thoroughly enjoyed him in the interview!! He’s quite funny too! And damn, his abs are looking pretty good in that print ab!! They do seem to bounce off well with each other.

As for the movie, I can’t wait to see it!!!

I like the dress it’s just the right amount of cut outs, though if anyone can pull it off it’s Gaga! And she seems to be loving it too!!

Also, Gaga, please for all of humanity, put down the lip filler!!

I kind of like the dress? But not her hair and makeup, I always think softer makeup and darker hair is more flattering to her.

  7. Mimi says:

I love the dress but don’t like her hair lol

Love the dress and yeah the Graham Norton interview was hilarious – they have an easy vibe with each other and you can tell that they have fun.

I would like to know also how Italians feel about Gaga’s claim of being Italian by having stereotypical Italian habits/traditions (for instance, the whole family got together to make sauce and meatballs), not to mention the broken English.
I remember back in the day when some of them were angry at Gwen Stefani for her “Cool” video, they didn’t like being portrayed as stuck in the… 50’s, I want to say, though I’m unsure if that was the decade the video was set in. It surprised me because that wasn’t something I’d considered until then.

On the premiere, I like her dress but I’m getting tired of cutouts on everything. Can’t wait for that trend to go away.

    • AlpineWitch says:

She certainly has Italian ancestors given her last name (Germanotta). I don’t mind her in this role as the original Gucci family was certainly OTT and stereotypically Italian on many levels (I worked for Gucci eons ago).

      • Ange says:

Weren’t they actually Italian though? As in born there?

From what I’ve seen online a lot of Italians like Gaga but they get very annoyed by anyone, not just her, who claims that they are Italian because they have a fiery temper, or wave their hands, or like food. Nobody likes their nationality (thus identity) reduced to outdated stereotypes.

What is she doing with her hair, and why? Also, I am about to sound a million years old, but I am NOT a fan of all the small, disjointed tattoos. It looks messy to me. I am honestly not a fan of tattoos in general, but the multiple small tattoos in random places looks truly jarring to me, especially when the person is dressed formally.

Something nice, I cannot WAIT to see this movie!! Gaga is the perfect amount of over-the-top for this sort of story.

    • lucy2 says:

I feel the same way about tattoos like that, I’m sure they’re not random to the person, but they always looks random to me, and I find them kind of distracting. To each their own, but personally not my thing.

  11. OliviaJoy says:

Sexy! And can’t wait to see the movie!!

  12. Oria says:

Had to google her age because she looks so old here. She’s only 35 (!). I’m in shock.

    • Ash says:

I’m curious about the answer to this too. I don’t think she looks old at all. She looks like a pretty woman in her 30s to me.

  13. Same says:

How old does she look ?
