Spoilers for …And Just Like That.
In December, four women accused Chris Noth of rape, attempted rape and sexual assault, in incidents ranging from the past twenty-odd years. There are more women out there, and if and when they tell their stories, they will be believed. Following those Me Too stories, Noth was fired from all of his jobs. The problem was that And Just Like That had clearly filmed some scenes between Mr. Big and Carrie to be used in later episodes of the show. I tend to believe the theory that producers made a mad dash to edit Noth out of other episodes, but this is the first confirmation we’re getting of that:
The upcoming season finale for And Just Like That… will reportedly no longer feature Chris Noth amid the sexual assault allegations against him.
Noth’s character, John James “Mr. Big” Preston, previously died in the Sex and the City spinoff’s premiere episode. According to TV Line, the 67-year-old actor was also set to make a brief cameo alongside Sarah Jessica Parker in the final episode of season 1, but the footage “will not make it to air.”
HBO Max declined to comment. In October, Parker — who stars as Carrie Bradshaw — and her former on-screen love interest Noth were photographed filming And Just Like That… in Paris. They were seen filming on the Passerelle des Arts, which is a bridge that crosses over the River Seine.
Shortly after Noth’s character was killed off in And Just Like That…, multiple women accused the Good Wife alum of sexual assault.
I think that’s fine. It’s better than the alternative, which is leaving that sh-t in the finale and pretending like Noth wasn’t credibly accused of multiple rapes. I bet Sarah Jessica Parker is beyond pissed though – clearly, Widowed Carrie was a big part of her storyline and one of the reasons why she wanted to do this fakakta series. I wonder how big of chunk of the finale was devoted to her scenes with Noth.

Sigh…I know that some people like this reboot/follow-up, but they should just can this already.
It’s been pretty bad. I’m not sure which storylines have been worse.
What a mess. Maybe a future storyline could be how Widow Carrie finds out her dear dead beloved was actually a sexual predator. That would be plenty of scenery to chew on.
And the $1 million legacy left to his second wife, Natasha Naginsky, was a payoff so she would keep her mouth shut about his sexual predator behavior! LOL! LOL!
And I can TOTALLY see Carrie married to Mr Big as a predator. That is a story line that would work really well. The Carrie character would deny it at first, or justify his actions, and then could slowly come around to realizing what was going on. But this series sounds like a shitshow, so chances of that happening are nil.
Oh hell yes!
This is basically the best thing they could do, that would give the current series the same kind of envelope-pushing balls the original had, and turn a negative into something actually helpful and meaningful.
I went and rewatched Ep1 of the original, and when Big appears, he’s introduced as ‘the next Donald Trump.’ Hahaha, truer words have never been spoken.
I think they will use this “excuse” to not have a second season of this sh*tshow. I hate watch at this point. It’s so cringe.
Today another episode airs and I just can’t bring myself to watch more. I stuck around for the love of the original show but it’s like forcing yourself to finish a book, you shouldn’t have to force it.
I’m sure they’ll just have her meet and mutually fall in love with a new 30 year old hot guy *without even trying* because it’s very easy for women of any age to do such things
This finally debunks the theory that some had that they knew about the allegations, they obviously had no clue. They did not kill off Big because they were warned.
Yes and it’s clear the show run its course. They tried and failed. But they had luck they killed off Big. But..now deleting every scene with him.. It’s super weird.
