Jennifer Lawrence gave birth to her first child, we don’t know Baby Maroney’s name

Jennifer Lawrence gave birth to her first child! We do not know the name or sex of Baby Maroney, but I bet you anything she gave birth weeks ago and didn’t announce anything. TMZ only found out because they were looking through birth records in LA County:

Jennifer Lawrence’s motherhood journey starts now, ’cause TMZ has learned she recently delivered her first kid. According to public records … JLaw gave birth in L.A. County, but we don’t yet know the gender of the baby or the exact date of birth.

Jennifer sparked rumors she might be pregnant last summer, when she was photographed in NYC — and, as you know, those rumors turned out to be true. We haven’t seen much of her since then. One of the last times she was out and about was right before XMAS, and she seemed far along in the pregnancy. We’re also told she had a baby shower at the end of January.

This is the first child for both JLaw and her art dealer husband, Cooke Maroney. We’ve made repeated calls to Jennifer’s rep, but she hasn’t responded.

[From TMZ]

When we saw Jen at the Don’t Look Up premiere in December, she looked like she was “ready to pop” at any moment. I’m shocked that she made it through January, honestly, and that she scheduled her baby shower so close to her due date. In any case, congrats to Jennifer and Cooke and Baby Maroney. My Spidey sense tells me… it’s a boy. A boy with a somewhat conventional name, something like “Jackson” or “Colin”. I’m probably wrong, my celeb-baby-mojo has been off for a little bit.

Since I always read her hub’s name as “Cookie,” I am going to think of her baby as “Cupcake” until further notice.

I would say congratulations but they obviously want to keep this news private. Instead, I will happily say, ‘Mums the word!’

Showing my age here but I’m hoping it’s Boney Maroney.

Glad I’m not the only one whose mind went there.

Who knows anymore with the names out there. And I notice that people shorten words and names more and more. Abbreviations is the new language. First it’ll be two syllables then one then I’m pretty sure we’ll all just end up grunting at each other like cavemen. Also, never understood why people choose a common name but spell it differently; the name will still sound the same but now you’ve set the baby up to have paperwork issues for a lifetime. Funny how many of us assume not. Me too. I’ll take a shot….
Uncle Ben Lawrence (for her brother)
      Chef Cooke Boyardee Maloney
Blen Gary Maloney Something with a B for both her brothers and dad)
Kar Gary Maloney ( sadly, the mothers named Karen. Not a good time for it)
      Short Cooke Maloney
      Annnd..Anand…
      Tom

Congratulations to Cooke and Jennifer and their sweet baby. I quite like the name Jackson and Colin.

I get boy vibes as well. But I think his name will be more crunchy-granola. Like Bodhi or something like that.

didnt know she was expecting, congrats to them both

I forgot she was pregnant! So refreshing when celebs decide not to flaunt and promote their pregnancy and kids for their media campaign.

      • Otaku fairy says:

It’s even more refreshing when people don’t take the time to work themselves up over whether or not somebody is flaunting a pregnancy. Special shout-out to all those modern xennials, gen X-ers, and boomers actually not raising their blood pressure over Meghan Markle touching her belly, or how some other pregnant woman dresses, or announces her pregnancy.

  9. Doro says:

Baby could also take her last name… (I don’t like when people assume my kids have my partners last name! They don’t.)

is it weird to anyone else that TMZ was just cruising through the LA county birth registry?

Odell Beckham, Jr. and Lolo Wood just had their baby boy Zydn on February 17. Very happy for them.

Oh man. It seems like she really didn’t want this public yet. Having a baby is a deeply personal and profound thing. Congratulations to her but I’m sorry for her if this got out before she wanted it known. (And yes I get that birth records are public but leave her in peace.)
