Bella Hadid wore vintage Tom Ford-for-Gucci in Cannes: stunning or dated?

I’m a little bit Cannes’d out, but I still enjoy looking at the photos of pretty people in sometimes terrible fashion. Bella Hadid walked the red carpet last night in vintage Tom Ford-for-Gucci. Bella’s going through a real vintage streak and I wonder what brought it on. Surely, she’s got current designers gagging to dress her. I remember this Gucci line the first time around and Bella wears it well and she does it justice. I love her styling here, she looks so beautiful. Sculpted but beautiful.

Ciara in Dundas at the amfAR gala. We’re definitely having a hot pink moment this year, or perhaps this is considered more of a cotton-candy pink. She’s beautiful and she can wear anything, and I feel like she was going for a sort of Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friends vibe?

Olivia Culpo in Saint Laurent. I love this. Super-elegant. I love that she matched her lipstick perfectly too.

Cara Delevingne pulled it together briefly in this MÔNOT.

Coco Rocha in Iris Van Herpen. I kind of love this? It would be wrong at an awards show, but it’s perfect for amfAR.

Vanessa Hudgens in bespoke Miu Miu. This is awful! So dowdy.

Elsa Hosk in Valentino. It’s a complete look and I appreciate that, but she looks sort of like a disjointed Barbie.

Bella looks beautiful here. She reminds me of why I always thought she was prettier than her sister. Her dress is giving me Cher vibes, but I like that

I thought, for a second (in that first pic), it was a young Jane Seymour (with dark hair! Lol)

I think Olivia’s look stole the show in this round, with Bella a close 2nd.

I have to say though, I am SO TIRED of this dead-eyed-vacant “no one is in here” look that all of these models project. None seem to have an iota of personality or charm that really encapsulated the REAL “Supermodels”.

I got Cheryl crow vibes from her Armstrong days.

The hip bone sharply poking the fabric detracts from the look for me.

While I celebrate all body shapes, I agree you can usually tell those who are that way naturally and/or have defined muscles and those who always look hungry.

I have always thought the Hadid women were beautiful and have a special place for GiGi as I also have hashimodo thyroid condition and it makes it hard for me to regulate my energy levels and weight (I pack on pounds quickly if I get off track on exercise/healthy nutrition or my thyroid medication needs to be adjusted). Bella was and is stunning before and after her face work but she looks to be that kind of always hungry thin. Seeing her hip bone so pronounced makes this look not my favorite but she looks confident in it so I give her credit for that.

Ciara is my hands down favorite. She owns this color and looks magnificent.

      plastic surgery can do that

    I LOVE Coco Rocha’s dress! It’s no longer a dress, it’s a vision!

It pains me to say but whenever I look at the Hadid sisters I only wonder about the level of hungry they must be. They are rail thin. At the age threshold they’re in, no one becomes super slender like this even after losing the “baby fat” when they were not, before that, the kind of lanky kid with no b&&bs and no a££. Her face, moreover, evokes surgery so I have a hard time looking past all this “beauty routine” scenario.

if you’re not familiar with iris van herpen, i really recommend you check her out. i get excited any time i see her work on the red carpet. she does a great job of marrying fashion with the organic world. she’s amazing.

I like Vanessa’s dress. I think it is fun.

I think these are some of the better looks we’ve seen lately. No big comforter like skirts or crazy shoulder pads. Lots of boob tape though, hope nobody sneezes really hard!

I feel old because I distinctly remember seeing the white dress on the Gucci runway on Fashion File back then in the 90’s. I thought the heavy eye makeup on Carolyn Murphy et al looked soooo cool. Dress looks good on Bella!

Why are Cara’s legs all scabby? Or, rather, how do celebs always seem to have non-scabby legs. I’m always covered in scrapes, bugbites, and bruises from everyday life.

Ciara looks fantastic, I *love* this pretty in pink glamour! The bust on Elsa’s dress is bizarre. Vanessa…please ease up on whatever you’re doing to your face.

    • HufflepuffLizLemon says:

Elsa has now been pictured in that same bust twice in 24 hours… not sure what’s up with that. She was in that barbie pink one a couple days ago on the Cannes carpet, and now this one in black at amfar…
      As Tatianna would say, “Choices”

I love Bella’s white dress, it’s clean and classic. Delevigne looks terrible, that dress is so desperate.

  9. JRenee says:

    I think Coco’s dress is divine ✨️

Kinda love the Miu miu but don’t love Vanessa’s head styling. Dress Gives sexy granny lampshade in a good way. And Coco in Iris is just spectacular. Ciara really looks good in any/all clothes. I do not love that pink number as it’s boring/derivative but she’s smoking in it. She can wear the shit out of anything

There must be a scientific explanation about plastic surgery (in the face) and the left eye, getting ‘smaller’, some where..

    Its intriguing
