All of the royal Instagram and Twitter accounts were busy during and after the Platinum Jubbly. The Clarence House IG made a point of including a few photos of Prince Harry and Meghan in one of their carousels. The Kensington Royal accounts made several fan-cams of the Cambridge family. I think my favorite social media posts were from Princess Eugenie though. Eugenie has her own stand-alone IG, and I am sure she does most of the posts herself (the captions are always in her voice).
On Tuesday, Eugenie posted this carousel, above. She included some personal photos of her baby August and her husband Jack, plus a great photo with her sister Beatrice. She also included some photos taken during actual Jubbly events, including the big balcony appearance on Sunday. Depending on where you’re viewing the IG, in the second image on the carousel looks like the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge are cropped out of the photo. That’s just an IG trick though – it’s clear that Eugenie never intended to be shady. She uploaded the full photo (as you can see above), it just looks cropped if you’re looking through her IG on desktop.
Anyway, it’s just a reminder that Eugenie has found freedom too. She came back to London for the Jubbly, she went to several events, she had a nice time and she left. She’s “splitting her time” between London and Portugal now that Jack has a fancy new job with a real estate company. Getting out of that full-time toxicity is going to be great for her.

I wish Eugenie and Beatrice would be more openly and vocally supportive of the Sussexes if they are in fact ‘friends’ still. It’s going to be fascinating to watch the family reorganize after the Queen is gone. I wonder if we’ll start hearing more full-throated defense/support of H&M after because no one gives a shit about disrespecting or ‘overshadowing’ Charles in the way they do ‘ole Lizzie lol
I appreciate everyone being quiet. It really is starving the BM. They only have so many narratives they can run and it’s getting boring for them. Soon they’ll go after the royals they have left. I think it’s smartest to not engage or try to reason with your abuser.
Wiglet, that’s a fair point I suppose, perhaps best not to add fuel to the garbage fire. It’s just interesting with the really outer circle royals like B & E who don’t have as much stake in the monarchy as a whole. I also forgot they visited the Sussex fam in California awhile back, so maybe that’s a strong enough sign by itself.

After Eugenie remained friendly with Harry she just had her baby and the tabloids got the go ahead to attack her marriage with the topless yacht pics. Then the accounting issue that sounded more of her father’s bad money handling.
I think she knows she isn’t the one the tabloids take orders from so why bother.

I viewed it twice via my iPhone app yesterday and that picture was cropped…just went into app again and pic still appears cropped for me! Maybe it’s an IG settings issue?

I think it’s Instagram cropping it, because their standard is square. So I think if you upload more than one pic of different sizes, it’s going to default to a square for presentation
It was cropped when I saw it on my IG app, but I assumed it had to do with the proportions of the picture and sizing etc.
What is the Royal IG protocol??? Eugenie can post photos of other members of the British Royal Family on her IG account but the Sussexes cannot? I just don’s get it.

I’ll be the first person to say the American electoral method has some issues that need to be addressed. But no one should be forced into being “royal” just because they were born into a certain family.
Everyone deserves to live their life as they see fit (barring abusive behavior, or course) and kids born into royal families should be able to decide how much they contribute to the monarchy they were born into.
So kudos to Eugenie for getting away.

Maybe Chuck wanted Cowmilla and that gave Keen her *in* or maybe it was Keen who had a meltdown so Liz said ok and Cowmilla joined in (but I very highly doubt Keen has that kind of clout?) I dunno. For the second appearance? I’m not sure if she was supposed to be there or not, but it was clearly set up as a “do over” so they could get a balcony pic of the direct heirs, including the new spare, Charlotte. So if she did throw a fit behind the scenes or whatever, it was still set up to cut her out. I think someone saw the pics from the Trooping balcony and was MAD.

I’m surprised to see they’re smiling in the picture. My recollection for the brief moment they were on the balcony on Sunday was TQ looked tired and the others glum. The whole thing was weird, it definitely did look like a do over.
Speaking of which, don’t understand why Charles didn’t tell Kate and Louis to change places with William and George when they came out for Trooping and she took the position next to TQ. Since Will clearly blocked her when she tried it the second time, he wouldn’t have cared if she was miffed. Kate standing there at Trooping was so obviously not what was intended, and her blatant attempt to overshadow TQ by choosing dress colors both times outside the obvious chosen palette, especially that last one in fuchsia, was really disrespectful. Personally, I’d be tempted to toss her off the balcony after moves like that. But it is was satisfying to see Will block her from standing next to TQ the second time, and to know she’s likely seen the above picture where she’s cut out. Camilla is also, but I don’t think she cares that much, certainly not the way Kate does.
During the bbc commentary they said the heirs were going to appear on the balcony, so wasn’t expecting the rest of them. I think it was a last minute decision. I dunno what happened beforehand but they all looked miserable on that balcony. I’m guessing there must have been some conflict beforehand. My guess is Willie didn’t want Keen up there, but Charles wanted camilla so it was either both or none. The kids probably saw it all go down, hence why they looked sad too.
@ February Pieces, I am imagining that the constant demands and the unrelenting temper tantrums are tiresome in this twisted family. Whether it’s Cain, KKKHate or Pedrew, the Queen, Charles and Camilla are all tired of it. On top of which in this scenario, I would not put it past KKKHate to have thrown a fit for not being included, she has had the best teacher in her husband. She has learned that it works on Charles. Their constant bickering, bitching and fighting is absolutely affecting their children. That one fight in which KKKHate mentioned she never should have married him, not word for word, but that is an atmosphere that causes trauma on children and will follow for the rest of their lives.
Though I did get a chuckle out of the cropped photo!
I am happy that Eugenie and Jack have flown the coup, so to speak. I hope that they love living in Portugal!! And real estate would have excellent opportunities for Jack as well!!
My main takeaway is that the baby is so cute! Eug and Jack seem like a very stable, happy couple. I think, maybe, Eug just doesn’t speak to family stuff because she wants to stay out of the messiness regardless of who caused it. Her father has given her real reasons to avoid talking about family. To her, this rift must seem easy breezy in comparison. I mean, Who knows,really, but Eug strikes me as a thoughtful, peacemaker sort.
