Kim Kardashian: ‘There is nothing I would trade to go back to who I once was’

People don’t really care, but I’m somewhat interested in how Kim Kardashian shut down her separate KKW Beauty and fragrance lines and now she’s relaunching everything under her new SKKN line. At the moment, SKKN is just skincare, lotions and moisturizers and such. But she will absolutely expand it back up to makeup and more, depending on the interest and money. That’s why Kim was in New York, to shill for SKKN. Her tour included an interview with People Magazine. Some highlights:

Embracing her age: “There is nothing I would trade to go back to who I once was. The wisdom that I have now, I don’t care how young I looked. I am so much happier in my skin now.”

She uses her own SKKN products: “I wanted it to be as authentic as possible,” Kardashian said of SKKN, which consists of nine products including a scrub and oil drops. “It’s very rare that I don’t stick to it, because if you want a result, you have to put in the effort. There are obviously times when I’m tired, especially being a mom, but I’ve made it a priority. And it doesn’t take as long as you would think!”

North West loves to play with it: “North loves serums and oils and I let her play with all that stuff. And I tried it on my mom and my grandmother and all of my friends. There is really no age cap.”

Taking time for herself: “It’s really really rare that I can get in my room and lock the door and say, ‘I need 20 minutes,'” said Kardashian, who also shares Saint, 6, Chicago, 4 and Psalm, 3, with ex Kanye West. “Someone always needs me. Even if I’m getting a massage, the kids will try to jump on the table. I try to take moments for myself in the morning before everyone gets up. But there is beauty in the chaos!”

[From People]

Kim is 41 years old now (she’ll be 42 in October). She used to take terrible care of her skin – she used to sleep in her makeup and lacquer on her makeup with a shovel. My point is that I think Kim’s proclamation that she’s really doing this big nine-step skincare process is pretty new and she’s just hyping it this way to sell products. She has a dermatologist, she uses medical-grade sh-t on her skin, especially since she’s suffered with psoriasis for years. Don’t spend your money on these bullsh-t products. I think this will flop, but who knows.

I can’t believe Kim got Anna Wintour to take selfies with her.

Isn’t this the same woman that said she’d “eat poop” if it made her look younger? Now she’s saying she’d never want to go back? She can’t keep her lies straight. I would never buy any products from this family. They are all smoke and mirrors. I actually heard her SKKN company is not doing so great. Also, can she please stop acting like she doesn’t have 12 nannies to take care of her kids? She goes on 10 vacations a year for God’s sake. She needs to stop pretending to be “relatable”.

She’s probably doing SKKN versus KKW Beauty because KKW is for Kim Kardashian West and she is now divorced from Kanye. SKKN has two Ks for Kim Kardashian and no West in there. Kanye has never claimed Kim’s achievements for his own that I know of but she probably wanted a fresh start in terms of branding?

I laughed at the “I’m comfortable in my own skin” bit. At this point I doubt she has any original left.

Well, she’s a billionaire now and she wasn’t one before, so yeah.

She’s trolling with the duck lip peace sign photos at this point. How are her SKIMS and skincare line doing so well when most of the factual reviews about scams is that they don’t fit properly? She acts as if her children are an annoyance. She only really ever talks about North.

Imagine if she had to actually take care of her own kids…all by herself. Poor Kim. Her kids got in the way of her relaxing massage (of which she probably has every day). She has no idea how the rest of the world lives.

I’m intrigued by (ok that might be a bit strong, maybe I’ve ‘noticed’) the way she and Khloe have both downsized their bodies and are going for a much skinnier look these days. What’s the culture they’re planning to appropriate for their own gain now?

Thank you for providing this information in context.

The duck lips are annoying as hell especially bc when she smiles naturally she’s so pretty!

Ever since I started seeing an esthetician I’m enraged at how I actually thought skin care products alone would transform my skin, if only I found the right one! No, it’s microneedling, Morpheus, photofacials, hydrofacials, etc etc….after one round of microneedling my skin changed completely, and I get a medical grade hydrofacial every three months. Having someone skilled who can really look at and understand your skin is going to yield far better results than buying whatever. That said, there are some people with relatively good skin and few problems who can do that, but only for so long. A great provider can keep someone’s face young and flawless for years without any sign of having work done, get a good line of products (my NP esthetician recommends the simplest routine possible, no more than 3 products is necessary, I love Environ). Of course, with the right amount of money skin upkeep is so effing easy. It’s absolute bs to buy this line. Spend your money on a good provider and invest in a solid, simple skin care line they can recommend

Is the goal to look as young as possible or to age gracefully? I for one am in my 40’s and I’d never stuff my face or do a hydro anything. I look 10 years younger because I’ve taken care of my skin since my teen years with skincare products. At some point we are all going to be 70. When I see a 70 year old woman or man with a face full of fillers and a stretched tight face, I’m embarrassed for her..or him. It looks ridiculous!
