Pink told her right-wing fans to ‘never f—ing listen to my music again’

While I sometimes find Pink’s politics confusing – especially during the Trump era – she has always been a fierce defender of a woman’s right to choose. It’s one of her most consistent political stances through the years. Pink is obviously torn up about the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision, overturning Roe v. Wade. So Pink decided to tell people that they couldn’t be her fans if they support the Dobbs decision.

Pink has a very clear message for anyone who supports the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 case that protected one’s choice to have an abortion: Don’t listen to her music. The message, which she tweeted Saturday, was also aimed at racist followers, and those threatening marriage equality.

“Let’s be clear: if you believe the government belongs in a woman’s uterus, a gay persons business or marriage, or that racism is okay- THEN PLEASE IN THE NAME OF YOUR LORD NEVER F–KING LISTEN TO MY MUSIC AGAIN. AND ALSO F–K RIGHT OFF. We good?” the singer wrote.

One Twitter follower caught Pink’s attention when he replied that he’s “never had an abortion. Also have never been with a woman that aborted my child. My wife & I saved our grandson from deletion by providing our complete support for our son & his girlfriend, best thing we’ve ever done.”

“I’m so glad you HAD THE CHOICE TO DECIDE WHAT WAS RIGHT FOR YOU, SIR. Must be nice,” she said.

And when another follower joked, “I hope her agent survives the stroke,” Pink was quick to reply.

“I am my agent,” Pink shot back. “We’re fine.”

I think it’s fine? I’m sure conservative douchebags are in their feelings about it, but Pink has every right to tell people to GTFO of her fanbase if they don’t believe in bodily autonomy. I’d also like to point out that Pink actually does have a significant number of right-wing people in her fanbase. She married a dude who loves guns and she comes from a Republican family. A lot of right-wingers have assumed for years that Pink is one of them. They’re really mad that she’s telling them off.

It’s awesome, especially the fact that he’s saying it with a southern accent. Take that, good ol’ boys!

Uh this stance isn’t news, Pink wrote a whole song about how much George W BUsh sucks.

  8. Colby says:

Luckily for Pink, I suspect if she never made another dime off her music again she’d be fine.

I wish more celebs with “f*ck you” money would speak out this forcefully.

    • Saltydog says:

No way that would even happen though. Every time she tours she is one of the ten best selling acts of the year.

  9. Otaku fairy says:

Love this! Love everything about the way she handled this. It’s always satisfying when the right’s attempt to use a woman to make themselves look semi-modern backfires like this, and I respect the fact that she’s not afraid to alienate them.

  10. Bisynaptic says:

I don’t understand how any of them could have ever thought she could be one of them.
