Megan Fox: I want to be the contradiction of stoic, unfunny Angelina Jolie

meganfoxnytimes
Megan Fox is the cover girl for yet another magazine. Perhaps some men’s mag, full of scantily-clad women in varying degrees of wet? Perhaps some budget women’s mag, where Megan would be given the chance to explain in detail her particular brand of “feminism”? Oh, no. No no no no. Megan Fox is the cover girl for this week’s New York Times Magazine. Yeah… it’s enough. This chick does twenty magazine covers per film… and let’s see, what is she promoting this time? What’s that? Nothing? She got the NYT Mag cover and she’s not promoting anything. For the love of God.

The cover story is already online (it will come with out in print with the Sunday NYT), and this crap… well, it’s pretty bad. Instead of maybe doing an expose of how vapid and ridiculous Megan is, the NYT writer (Lynn Hirschberg) seems to be doing an analysis of Megan’s media strategy. The piece is called “The Self-Manufacture of Megan Fox” and Hirschberg details how Megan’s team of agents, publicists, et cetera, are starting to worry that women hate Megan. So they’ve decided to try to put Megan out there with a “softer” image, in the hopes that women would go see her films. Good luck with that. I don’t think I’m speaking for all women, but I think I represent a substantive portion of women who think Megan is a nasty, vapid, stupid little a-hole. Hirschberg first details some of Megan’s greatest hits (comparing Michael Bay to Hitler, or saying she would “eat” Robert Pattinson), then asks this question: “The only problem is, having come so far so fast, how do you stay this year’s girl when the year is almost over?” Please God, let it be so. The piece is really wordy, so here are the highlights (full magazine piece is here):

How Megan appears to Hirschberg: Fox is small and narrow, with a tiny waist, and she wears her long, thick dark brown hair parted in the middle, which gives her a vaguely Indian quality… For all her raunchy talk, Fox is surprisingly dainty and ladylike. She took ballet for much of her childhood, and she has a natural stillness and grace. She’s not warm or particularly friendly and doesn’t seem at all interested in small talk. Instead, she’s self-contained and a bit wary. She will answer any question, but she resists true dialogue. With Fox, it’s not a conversation but a presentation.

Megan on the box office failure of Jennifer’s Body: “People expected ‘Jennifer’s Body’ to make so much money,” Fox said flatly. “But I was doubtful. The movie is about a man-eating, cannibalistic lesbian cheerleader, and that pretty much eliminates middle America. It’s obviously a girl-power movie, but it’s also about how scary girls are. Girls can be a nightmare. ‘Jennifer’s Body’ wasn’t rated PG-13 like ‘Twilight.’ It was a hard R, and kids couldn’t get in. So they bought a ticket to another movie and snuck in. If I was to have a message, it would be to be a different kind of role model to girls. With ‘Jennifer’s Body,’ I want to say, It’s O.K. to be different from how you’re supposed to be. I worry that’s totally lost.”

Megan on trying to appeal to women: “Women tear each other apart. Girls think I’m a sl-t, and I’ve been in the same relationship since I was 18. The problem is, if they think you’re attractive, you’re either stupid or a wh-re or a dumb wh-re. The instinct among girls is to attack the jugular.”

On whether she’s a feminist or just a media-hungry provocateur: “If I had been a typical starlet and said all the right things, I wouldn’t have escalated to this level. I sit down and do an interview and I talk like a person and that, for some reason, is shocking. All women in Hollywood are known as sex symbols. You’re sold, and it’s based on sex. That’s O.K., if you know how to use it. It’s been a crazy year. I’ve learned that being a celebrity is like being a sacrificial lamb. At some point, no matter how high the pedestal that they put you on, they’re going to tear you down. And I created a character as an offering for the sacrifice. I’m not willing to give my true self up. It’s a testament to my real personality that I would go so far as to make up another personality to give to the world. The reality is, I’m hidden amongst all the insanity. Nobody can find me.”

Hirschberg details at length how Megan has copied Angelina Jolie, and then Megan complains about the comparisons: Fox…complains that the Jolie comparisons are now “the bane of my existence,” which is part of the reason she wanted to host “S.N.L.” Her complaints seem exaggerated — who wouldn’t want to be compared to Angelina Jolie? — Fox maintained that, unlike Jolie, she has a sense of humor and that her interviews are meant to be funny rather than provocative. “People compare me to Angelina Jolie, and she’s so serious and stoic,” Fox explained. “I’m the opposite. When I do interviews, I say things that I think are hysterical. But because we live in a world of sound bites, you’re not allowed to have a sense of humor. Sarcasm doesn’t translate in print at all. And neither does self-deprecating humor. I’m not a tigress like Angelina. Of course, people want me to be. But I want to be the contradiction of that.”

Megan on the whole “Michael Bay is like Hitler” controversy, and the open letters from crew members that followed: “I got myself in this whole mess. But it doesn’t matter. I know that the things they said about me in the crew letter were not true, but Bay is not happy with some of the things I’ve said about him. I was waiting for someone to defend me, to say, ‘That’s not accurate,’ but nobody did. I think it’s because I’m a girl. They left me out there to be bludgeoned to death.”

On trying out a film that would appeal to women: “It might be a good business move. And I get sent romantic comedies. But I’m fearful of doing those. I’m 23 — I don’t belong in a romantic comedy yet. Those movies are very safe. They’re tailored to middle America, which is why they make the money that they make. But I don’t want to do that yet.”

[From The New York Times Magazine]

Notice how easily she fell into the tragic victim position when she discussed calling Michael Bay “like Hitler”? Oh, poor little Megan, they were being mean to her because she’s a girl! Not because she’s an a-hole, right? Also, if her “team” is really serious about getting Megan to appeal to a wider female fan base, perhaps they should get her to stop staying sh-t like “Girls are awful. But, in their defence, girls are awful because of the way society is set up – we’re constantly in competition for male attention. Our fathers raise us wrong and we spend the rest of our lives searching for boys to pay attention to us, which validates us. So no girl can really be your friend, because if she takes attention from you, your daddy doesn’t love you.” This is why women hate Megan. Not because she’s not demure enough. It’s because she says dumb sh-t like this. All. The. Time.

Dhe really needs to STFU.. she promoting that movie like a bandit and the fanboys said Hell no..

The comparison with Angelina is because she cant do an interview without bringing her name up, or not responding when the interviewer asks her about Jolie.. I am sure Megan’s name will never be mentioned to Angelina durin an interview..

I am liking her less and less.. she should just pose and shut her mouth..

  2. Oi says:

well, she’s sure not stoic, that’s for sure. Funny…? well…

  3. Lisa says:

She still sounds like a mental patient, she’s no Angelina Jolie, Michael Bey does not forgive or forget, maybe it’s time she try romantic comedies, or more bland horror flicks like “Jennifer’s Body”, she should have learned the most important lesson of all in Hollywood, you do not bite the hand that feeds you..

  4. Enonymous says:

That picture above is beautiful (except for her weird thumb). I still like her for some reason.

  5. snowball says:

No Megan, I don’t hate you because you’re a woman or because I’m jealous or I have daddy issues.

I hate you because you have all the talent, humor and intelligence of a 2 x 4. Which is probably insulting to wood.

  6. Who Cares says:

I’m not a big Jolie fan, but Angie comes across extremely warm and personable in interviews unlike Megan. To be fair Jolie is 10 years older and more polished. She might have been similiar at that age.

Regardless, Megan isn’t going to do herself any favors by making snide comments about an Academy Award winning actress. Whaterver Megan might be, bright doesn’t make the list.

  7. Firestarter says:

STFU STFU STFU STFU STFU STFU STFU STFU PLEASE!!!

  8. DD says:

Would a no comment from megan suffice when asked about aj? I’m sure that would stop others from asking.

  9. Charity is Chic says:

Love her or hate but she is just playing the same game everyone else in Hollywood plays. The game is pretty simple. Use your sex appeal and make shocking statements that get you noticed. It’s the same game Angie plays. Yes, I know, Angie plays games. Shocking. They ALL do it. Some are just better at hiding it than others.

And at least Megan is up front about what she is doing. And she is fully aware that you don’t have to have a lot of talent to become a huge star in Hollywood. See Tom Cruise.

For those who took the time to read the entire article, don’t write her off. She has obviously studied how the media and fame work in this day and age. Just look at some of the quotes she gives in the piece and how they’re worded. As much as it pains me to say it, the woman is not as stupid as people think.

  10. Mairead says:

Good Lord – is a persecution complex the new black in Hollywood? The lefty media hate poor misunderstood Carrie Prejean because she decided to pretend to be conservative to become famous and can’t understand the concept of an interview.

And now all wimmin hate poor Megan Fox because she’s the only beautiful woman in Hollywood. Oh woe is me!

No Megan dearest, we don’t “hate” you (as if you’d be worthy of that much energy) because you’re a sl*t – it’s because you can’t act and are utterly vapid.

EDIT – @Charity, I daresay you’re right, that she’s as media savvy as they come. She definitely knows how to give soundbites. Doesn’t mean she’s not irritating though.

  11. SolitaryAngel says:

    @ snowball: Ditto!!!!
    @ firestarter: Ditto!!!!

No Megan, women don’t hate you because of your looks (they’ll fade), your “intelligence” (dumb as a rock)–we hate you because you are a disgrace to our gender. STFU already.

  12. Jessica says:

ewww… I see the weird thumb too… WFT is wrong there???

  13. yeng says:

So she admits she reads Jolie’s interviews. Despite what she says, she likes the comparisons. Someone mentioned she’s just playing the game, well, she sure is. She knows how to do that by making sure she and Jolie are always mentioned together. If she doesn’t want to perpetuate the comparisons, then, skip that interview question. She doesn’t have to contribute to what the public thinks by shutting her fake lips.

And she is a contradiction alright. She can’t act and she’s vapid. I seriously dislike this girl for making me defend Jolie.

I’ve read humorous and sarcastic interviews from other actors, and they’ve never come off stupid like this girl.

Btw, Hirschberg’s observation is rather telling, more than she probably intends: “With Fox, it’s not a conversation but a presentation.” Everything about her is a presentation. This is one girl who cares about her image, despite everything she says about being her being “real.” It goes beyond the extensive cosmetic surgery.

  14. mila says:

All the hateful posts here somehow make me like Megan. I don’t find her annoying and she does not sound like a stupid person, just a bit childish one. At least she’s not another cookie cutter starlet, who say only things their publicist write for them. Perhaps she’s trying too hard to be sexy but at least she’s no coward.

  15. tekhana says:

    Umn, FAIL!

This girl is anything but funny. She’s easy on the eyes, but not a whole heck of a lot else. Feh.

  16. Madelyn Rose says:

I like Megan Fox a whole lot better than Angelina Jolie. Angie Jo takes herself way too seriously, and that really ticks off a lot of people. Megan doesn’t go around projecting some saintly image and acting like she is better than everyone else. She is just a girl, albeit a gorgeous one, who says dumb things sometimes. I don’t get all the hatred for her.

  17. Firestarter says:

I don’t hate her, I am just tired of her comments made for shock value.

She is so fake with all the b.s she spews, it is becoming irritating.

  18. mollination says:

I like how she recognizes her two options as a pretty girl “dumb” or “slutty”, and goes on to assume that chicks hate her because we think she’s “slutty”…….Try door number 2 megan.

  19. ligeia says:

i am a female and i don’t hate her, guess i am the minority here. there’s a ton of other not very bright attractive females in hollywood who don’t get all this hate because they aren’t as successful as megan. hiss hiss meow meow.

  20. Meimei says:

    “Girls think I’m a sl-t”

Megan, I don’t have problems with sl*ts or pseudo-sl*ts. I don’t even have a problem with real or slightly plastic beauties – there are a lot of women who are more attractive than I am, and I can readily admit it.

It’s the stupidity and minimal talent that bother me. Among all those more attractive women around there are definitely some that can actually act.

  21. Peach says:

“The problem is, if they think you’re attractive, you’re either stupid or a wh-re or a dumb wh-re. The instinct among girls is to attack the jugular.”

This is so weird. Because I think Salma Hayek is amazing. I adore Tina Fey. Drew Barrymore makes me happy. Freida Pinto is my girl crush and Jennifer Carpenter is one of my favorite actresses. Hell, Mae West and Katherine Hepburn were forces of nature.

    And they are all hotties.

So no, it’s not because you’re hot. It’s because you are only hot. And that’s about as dull as it comes.

  22. 88Modesty88 says:

LOLZ! Did you notice how she actually insinuates that loads more people saw Jennifer’s Corpse than the numbers show?! (Kids snuck in, she says…)

    Yeah, keep on believin’ that!

  23. yeng says:

peach, good point! and hepburn and west will forever be awesome.

oh dear, i can’t believe a few here are still holding onto the jealousy argument. this is megan’s line of thinking. tsk. there has to be a new and more viable argument out there instead of this same old one. and i can’t believe her stupidity is being justified. lol.

she’s successful but dumb. way to aim high. she can be proud of her success, but i don’t think being dumb is something to brag about. i guess i’m an elitist because most of my girl crushes are successful and intelligent.

  24. mila says:

Hepburn, Barrymore, West or Fey did not make men go crazy.Sure they were/are beautiful but their appeal is mostly based on delicate features, elegance, intellect or sense of humour. Megan Fox is more like Jayne Mansfield- they both represent the same category of a rather agressive sex appeal, the kind that affects mostly men. That’s why she probably will never be popular amongst women, they’re not her target, IMO.

  25. Disco says:

I think it’s funny that her people know women don’t like her and their answer is to put her in more magazines. We’d all like her more if she just went away….betcha they got paid a bunch of money to get that all backwards, huh?

  26. yeng says:

mila, that, i can agree with. except for mae west not making men go crazy. i think she did, especially with her brand of controversial wit; some of her humor involved sexual undertones. so, in some ways, she was sexually aggressive. she was popular and somewhat controversial at a time when hollywood was starting to implement censorship in their films. and west and hepburn were considered “box office poison.” hepburn, in particular, did not make men go crazy, but she did not appeal to women during her time, too.

however, i agree that megan is like mansfield in that she has constructed a sexual image, one that mainly targets men. i think, to an extent, she likes thinking and feeling like she isn’t liked by a lot of women because she’s supposed to be different or unconventional. i think she wants to feel as though she stands out; she wants to feel controversial. indeed, she is self-manufactured, and everything is a presentation. she has carefully crafted herself: her surgery, her insular talking points, etc. as an aside, i don’t usually have a thing against surgery, but this girl oozes insecurity that she tries so hard to be edgy and sexy and so on. i know i would have liked this girl if she displayed some semblance of intelligence, maturity and respect for her peers.

  27. Trillion says:

I really hate the way she speaks as if she represents “all women”.

  28. stellab. says:

You know- and not that I’m defending her- but the media is now aware that Megan says ridiculous things in interviews. We are collectively enjoying (in a twisted way) how asinine she sounds, and it seems like she’s not in on that. She claims that she’s created a character, but she’s 23 and she’s not that bright. I don’t feel bad for her. And I don’t hate her because I’m a woman, which almost indicates some level of jealousy. I think she’s a dumb 23 year old who mistakenly believes (like all 23 year olds) that she knows something about life and has something profound to say. My male friend was looking through the Rolling Stone she was in, and I asked him what he thought about the moronic stuff Megan said, and he responded, “I don’t know. I just looked at the pictures and then turned the page.” I love how succinct men are, sometimes, in their simplicity.

  29. Ally says:

There is way too much STFU-ing directed at young women. Get some self-awareness, commenters.

She expresses herself well, she’s bright for a 23-year old, and everyone agreed Michael Bay was a dope even before she said it.

I haven’t been running to see her movies, but she’s self-aware, thoughtful about her career, and answers questions when people come to interview her – oh noes!

Seriously, calm down and take a long hard look at yourselves. You’re actually vivid examples of what she’s describing.

  30. Jenna says:

I’m curious to see her in a romantic comedy. Maybe she can use her sarcasm and ‘playfulness’ for the character?

  31. angelinafan1 says:

The one thing I always admired about Angelina was her honesty. She is too honest. She admitted to the media that she’s done all kinds of drugs, that she was a cutter, that she was sexual in kindergarten etc. These things have now caught up with her and used against her, as if this is a surprising secret and not information she openly admitted. Megan Fox to me seems contrived. She seems to be modeling herself in Angelina’s image. She has almost too similar red carpet looks, talks about the same things Angelina did (bisexuality, cutting, and daddy issues, “schizophrenia) but I feel like she says it to get a rise out of the boys and not because it’s true. Whereas with Angelina all these things were most certainly true.
Another thing I don’t like is how she came out. She came out as the objectified eye candy in Transformers. And now she wants to sell herself as a role model to girls. Talk about conflicting messages. Now Angelina is also a sex symbol, but she proved she had the talent so that she wouldn’t be typecast as the bombshell.
I haven’t seen Jennifer’s Body, and I’ve heard its actually good, but I don’t want to see this “low rent” Jolie acting. I did see Transformers 2 (I regret it soo much! It was awful.) If she wants to be taken seriously, she needs to stop putting her foot in her mouth, stop demeaning herself in these Transformers movies, and stop trying to emulate Angelina and failing miserably.

  32. hannah says:

I hate that middle america crap. Hate it! Middle america doesn’t have a problem with zombies or a girl on girl kiss, (now boys kissing is different)I live in LA and nobody I know saw it, but not because it was in opposition to their morals, it just didn’t seem worth $10.

  33. Lem says:

I preferred Megan when she pushed her boobs up and kept her mouth shut!

She was hot, when she was all new and shiny, but she’s showing wear way to fast. Relax honey, stop comparing yourself to anyone else. Shut yo yap. Be an as$-kicking 20 something, in a movie, I enjoy that you play chicks who don’t necessarily need a man to save them. Stick with big budget summer, plot thin blockbusters and you’ll do fine.
Trying to make us think you are something that you are not doesn’t work for anyone.

  34. Firestarter says:

Ally- Yes, you know me so well to make a comment like that!

I am sick to death of her trying to shock people and sound so uber edgy.

I don’t care! I am not jealous of someone I do not know and care nothing about.

Also, all the people that I am around in “Middle America” do not care a lick about girls kissing each other or boys kissing each other. Another streotype of an area when it is simply not true!

I have more gay friends here, in “Middle America” than I ever did when I lived in San Francisco. People go to see movies that are good, and Jennifer’s Body was NOT good, so she needs to get over that. No one was put off by the girl/girl kiss, they were put off by a stupid movie.

Might I also remind her of her humble roots.

I am so tired of the old “Jealousy” tag when it comes to anything negative uttered about Moron, er, I mean Megan Fox. I am cannot be jealous of someone who has nothing to do with my day to day life. If I think someone is stupid, I will say it and it isn’t out of envy, but based on what comes out of their mouth. I have never heard her say anything remotely intelligent or relevant, so I wish she would STFU!

Sorry if that offends her defenders. It’s my opinion.

  35. sg says:

She’s really not that bad. She’s not out partying going to all the celeb it spots to get photographed, she lives a pretty low key life. She’s not that bright and seems a bit insecure. But she’s pretty and her acting is fine and believable. I think the hatred on her is unjustified.

  36. yeng says:

Firestarter, be careful. Your statement might make you appear even more as one of the vivid examples Megan describes … because you know, apparently most of us here are girls who go for the jugular. Or are we bisexual women that Megan won’t sleep with because bisexuals are dirty because they sleep with dirty men? Or we’re those girls Megan’s in competition with for men’s attention? Or maybe we’re also all those girls who were raised wrong by our fathers so we have daddy issues? Hmmm. Yep, that Megan is a “self-aware,” “bright” one. *snort*

Trillion, exactly. Her views are insular and over-generalizations.

  37. javelin says:

The only thing I hate about Megan Fox is how she loves to reinforce negative stereotypes about women– the women I know don’t tear each other apart, Megan. We don’t hate each other, nor do we hate you.

  38. Sara Kate says:

I’m SO glad someone finally mentioned her asinine comments about Middle America! I didn’t skip on seeing “Jennifer’s Body” because I’m dumb or offended, I didn’t go see it because it looked like a horrible movie. Sorry I don’t live next to an ocean, but that doesn’t have anything to do with my level of intelligence or personal beliefs. Believe it or not, Ms. Fox, but many of the millions of people living in Middle America went to college, vote Democrat, and have more than half a brain!

  39. Mairead says:

actually whoever made the comparison with Jayne Mansfield’s public persona has such a good point. Her sexiness was a construct to appeal to men, as an alternate Marilyn, whilst she herself was meant to be a devout Catholic in real life.

Ok, for once I’ll say something nice about Megan – she looks stunning on that cover. Matt powder is definitely her friend.

  40. sterliv says:

She has an excuse for everything doesn’t she? Women don’t like her because she’s attractive, men don’t like her because she’s a girl. She wouldn’t do romantic comedies because they are targeting “middle America” which is too “safe” for her, but she blames the same “middle America” audience she just blithely rejected for the box office failure of her movie. She wanted Jennifer’s Body to be a message about how its OK to be different but at the same time she endorses the sex symbol status that “all women in Hollywood” are known for.

I’m not going to say she is stupid – because it wouldn’t be fair to judge her based on snippets of an interview that was purposefully edited to portray a certain image, but judging from the mass of contradictions and mixed messages, she certainly seems to think her audience is stupid.

  41. Rita Lynne says:

not sure how you (celebitchy) could make these kinds of statements against megan fox. in reading her interview, she didn’t say anything that was even remotely unintelligent.
michael bay IS a douchebag. everyone in the “industry” knows that. she called him on it and now everyone is like, “oh no! she insulted our hack cash cow!”
i’m sure she has a lot more to say about actors/directors/producers but, of course, she has to keep working, doesn’t she?
so, why don’t you (celebitchy) stfu?

  42. Essie says:

I hadn’t heard much from Ms. Fox recently, except for her apology to Michael Bey for what she said about him, so I thought she was laying low after that letter from her co-workers was published. It’s obvious she is not a very popular person on a movie set. Maybe her people need to work on her manners on a movie set rather than worrying about whether or not women hate her. She is a very nasty piece of work. That is something not desirable in an actress, or anyone.

I’m wondering what “career” Ms. Fox is talking about. Hasn’t she only been the eye candy for those two Transformers movies and that vampire thing? That’s not much of a career, in my book. Being in Transformers was fine for her because they were mega hits but the movie that featured her and her alone was a major bomb. I think she had better start thinking before she speaks because the powers that be in Hollywood are watching her. She might have a problem in the future getting movies to star/costar in.

  43. bo says:

Ally has a point. The unbridled desire to make other people stop talking, just because it aggravates you, shows a hateful spirit.

  44. Jen says:

It’s been said before, but what’s with the constant reference to middle America? All her articles are exactly the same: middle America, Angelina, all women are viewed as sluts, and something about cannibal lesbians. I hope reporters actually start asking her about the plastic surgery. I can’t remember her ever commenting about that. She might even be dumb enough to try to intellectualize it.

  45. TwinkleToes says:

Wow. Just wow. Beautiful women have so much power to evoke such strong reactions in other women. Look at all of the comments on every thread about Megan. If she was alright looking, nobody would care. I wish she’d stop answering questions in regard to Angelina Jolie. Just stop. I really hate when people call her a poor man’s AJ because even though they both had nose jobs, Megan is head and shoulders above Jolie in the looks dept. She’s in a class with Liz Taylor or the actress from Gone With The Wind.

  46. original kate says:

    she is so flipping annoying.

  47. Ryan says:

Okay, you psychos need to calm down.
Yeah, she’s hot, that’s why she has a career, we know this, and SHE even openly admitted to be more than aware of that fact over a million times.
Ohhh, she compared Michael Bay to Hitler, which is just like comparing Mother Teresa to Hitler, right?
You’re just being perfect visual aids of exactly what she’s describing; jealous chicken heads who rather tear her to pieces than the MILLION other available MALE public figures who say stuff that’s a thousand times more messed up than anything she ever said, but they get free passes because it’s a man world, and you dumb tarts tolerate it.
I personally rather hear her speak than the other over-polished, emotionless, opinion-less, dull stepford actresses out there that are more successful than her, because they don’t rock the boat!
    The hell with you idiots.

  48. Ryan says:

P.s. on a different but relevant note, these days most of the Chris Brown supporters who write hateful things about Rihanna online, like “she had it coming” or “she needs to get beaten up again harder so she’ll shut up for good”…ARE WOMEN!!!
Let that fact about the tragic state of ‘girl power’ and ‘feminism’ today simmer in your mind for a minute, before you really conclude how pointless and undeserved your hatred for Megan Fox really is.
    You are all ridiculous.

  49. Ana says:

I wanted to love her….I really did. Then she said all of this stupid crap and it made her annoying and vapid. It even makes her seem not as pretty.

“The problem is, if they think you’re attractive, you’re either stupid or a wh-re or a dumb wh-re. The instinct among girls is to attack the jugular.”
    I really hate this statement.
Take responsibility for your stupidity rather than blame it on jealousy.
I would be jealous of her if she was classy, smart, and gracious in addition to beautiful.

“It was a hard R, and kids couldn’t get in. So they bought a ticket to another movie and snuck in.” SURE, that is why your movie didn’t do well.

“Sarcasm doesn’t translate in print at all. And neither does self-deprecating humor.”
Funny, I have read plenty of interviews with other celebrities where I caught the sarcasm. She’s just dumb.

  50. Ana says:

Oh but I do love the top picture!!!! It is amazing and gorgeous!

  51. valerie says:

i like megan…and it think things she says are true , its just that nobody wants to admit it

  52. dirtfreediana says:

Projection, projection, projection! Mark of the self-obsessed! Everything she says about other women is likely true about her.

  53. kiko says:

  54. sarah p says:

shut up about the thumbs. I bet you have some strange birthmark yourself… yes, I have thumbs like megan’s. And I love them. Because they’re different. take your moles and shove ’em. Perfect tits and little pet thumbs are the new black, bitches! She and I are just trendsetters ; )

  55. angelinafan1 says:

Oh, TwinkleToes. The only reason this post is so popular is because the sensationalist title has Angelina’s name in it. The same thing happened in the Kristen Stewart post. Oh and about that nose job:

on the left Tomb raider Lara Croft, on the right angelina at 16.

  56. mags says:

i think she’s really normal. like my crazy friends (i’m 23) who i love dearly but sometimes wanna smack in the back of the head for saying dumb shit.

  57. TwinkleToes says:

Angiefan1, nice try but that b/w photo is so unbelievably photoshopped and is not the original which was shot in color. Explain this then, wouldja?

    http://www.makemeheal.com/gossip/uploaded_images/angelina_jolie_nose_job-767782.jpg

She had a nose job. Big woop. Most stars have.

  58. TwinkleToes says:

Kiko, it’s the shape of her facial bone structure which AJ does not have. AJ has a big mannish shaped head. Megan is like a doll in bone structure. She’s beautiful even with her original nose.

  59. Celestial says:

Not to put down either actress because both were good looking before any plastic surgery took place. But, if I compared Angelina Jolie in those recent leotard shots at age 16, to Megan Fox at around the same age, I’d say A.J far surpasses Megan Fox in looks.

A.J may of had some minor work done around the tip of her nose. But, Megan Fox has had her whole friggin’ nose resculpted amongst other things and looks tons differently than from even just a few years ago, when she was on “”Hope and Faith.” You can’t change that much in just a few years. Before she had a nose job and lip injections etc.., Megan Fox was just your “” typical pretty girl next door type.” Now in the right lighting -that doesn’t expose her obvious nose job, and on the right day, -when her lips have deflated a bit from injections, she can look prettier than Jolie. But Jolie was naturally more beautiful.

  60. M says:

Why has no interviewer asked her about her thoughts on women and plastic surgery?
    She’s obviously had heaps.

  61. Firestarter says:

Ryan- As I have stated in my previous posts, I am not among the women who she speaks of or who is jealous of her. Can women not like another woman and it not be because she is jealous?

I have never defended Chris Brown, and I think if you check out my posts on any Chris Brown thread, you will see that.

I think Megan Fox is gorgeous, but she is not the end all. I do have a problem with the crap that keeps pouring out of her mouth and the fact that she bites the hand that has fed her so well. Do you remember her from her days on Faith and Hope? No? Yeah, that’s what I thought. Bay gave her an opportunity and she has bitched and complained about him.

I don’t have a lot of female friends myself. Big deal. Does that make me special or scorned? No!

I have read several posts from men who have said negative things about Fox being an idiot. Are they jealous of her? Are they bitter because they cannot have her? I don’t think so. We can have opinions about her and what she says and it not all go back to jealousy.

  62. Jag says:

Well, let’s see. I don’t like you, Megan, because you seem to hate women, by the statements you make. You think you have it all figured out, and you’re crass. You compare yourself to Angelina Jolie all the time, then say that you’re not trying to be compared to her. Believe me, NO ONE thinks you are like Angelina in any department but looks, if that. You’re selfish and arrogant, and contradictory. Most of us would like it if you’d shut up for a while, too. When your looks fade, what will be left?

  63. jbird says:

I wouldn’t want to be compared to that horrid woman either (AJ).
I think it is funny first KS and now MF not wanting to be anything like the horrid bony bag of evil.
It is about time people start recognizing a spade for a spade!!!!

  64. jbird says:

Celestial, LOL aj may have had some minor work, lol, you really need to check her before and after pics you will see she has had tons of work done.

  65. yeng says:

i can’t stand either woman, but fox is and will always be the low-rent jolie. she is the budgeted jolie. she is a poor man’s jolie. as she said, the bane of her existence is that she will always be compared to jolie. she will always be in the shadows. lol. apart from the stupidity that comes out of her mouth and her sex symbol status, her legacy will be as a low rate copy of jolie. beautiful starlets come and go in hollywood. someone younger, hotter and with talent will eventually overshadow fox. she can’t claim respectable longevity yet as she has yet to prove her talent aside from washing a high-priced, chauvinist director’s car. *snort* fox lacks talent, and she knows it, so, she relies on the same tripe that comes out of her mouth and her hot, plasticized body to extend her fame, and whether she likes it or not, she relies on the jolie comparison.

she’s already admitted in the past that she’s a fan of jolie. wouldn’t be surprising if fox is trying to perpetuate the comparisons. all fox has to do is mention jolie in her interviews, and the comparisons continue. the twit contributes to it.

jolie’s before and after pics are hardly discernible. while fox’s surgery is exxxtensive. she’s a totally different person from what she used to look like. and fox has separated fake boobs syndrome. then again, jolie must have saggy ones from having those kids.

but i guess if i had to be in a room with one of these 2 women, i’d rather be with the horrid, bony bag of evil than the empty-headed, self-absorbed, plasticized fox. i don’t think even fox can stand to be in a room by herself because then, she would realize she’s a self-aggrandizing idiot.

  66. yeng says:

ryan, i take it you’ve never criticized other celebrities if you’re being this self-righteous? how about you calm down as this is a gossip blog. if you want to read rosy comments and not deal with “ridiculous” posters, then visit a fan page.

and bay may be a chauvinist a-wipe, but considering that he is jewish, comparing him to hitler was crossing the line. and he may be a d o u c h e, but he was the d o u c h e that got the public noticing your beloved, “amusing” twit. btw, i’ve read posts from the male gender who cannot stand fox. so, they must be jealous, too.

please, please, please … come up with another argument other than the overused jealousy excuse. it just doesn’t work.

and if you think everything that megan says is true, then, in your world, everyone is bisexual, that all women are only in competition with each other for men’s attention and that all women have daddy issues. her fecking statements divide women; they’re not empowering to women. as someone else said, she reinforces negative stereotypes about women. that’s the kind of woman that a few of you here are defending … now, talk about being ridiculous.

  67. docalion says:

I love you! You hate Megan Fox. I visit this site just to read articles regarding her, then see how you bash her..Hahaha…so intense!!

  68. Ally says:

@ Rita Lynne: “hack cash cow” lol

Thing is, Michael Bay knows it, too. At least he has a sense of humor about it:

  69. daisy says:

I have to say,I think its wishful thinking on her part that anyone was sneaking into Jennifers Body!Is that what she is telling herself?I have to say,I find her very pretty, but I can see why people hate her.I dont think its jealousy, she just has that personality, like she is an attention whore.

  70. kiko says:

No its not just surgery she has tried to emulate A Jolie in looks and her comments which are hyprocritical i.e If I was in the position to give to children I would, well is she not rich enough yet?& By the way my sister has commented that I look very similar to Ms Fox when younger and personally find her talk offensive & I have same height same hair same figure not same arrogance or stupidity.

  71. Rydell says:

I am not jealous. I’m very happy my thumbs are normal.

  72. Jon says:

@ twinkletoes in a league with Liz taylor? Some star struck trailer trash girl with tons of surgery and no sense or talent. Good one!!!!!!!
