Kylie Jenner wore a Schiaparelli lion-head dress & revealed her son’s name

Kylie Jenner is in Paris today for the Schiaparelli show at Paris Fashion Week. Kylie got to wear one of the latest Sciaparelli creations just minutes before the duplicate appeared on the runway. The creation: a black tube dress with a lion’s head attached. Kylie is a Leo – she’s very into lions. I find it… unsettling? But I’m very middle-class and I have simple tastes. This doesn’t look “cool” to me, it just makes me uncomfortable.

Meanwhile, Kylie finally showed her son’s face and revealed his name. The child is eleven months old and I don’t know why this family treats their sons so differently than their daughters. But here we are – Kylie’s son is named Aire Webster, and Kylie left a comment on social media that the boy’s name is pronounced “air.” Aire used to be Wolf Jacques Webster but after she and Travis lived with that name for a few weeks, they changed it. So now Kylie has Stormi and Aire. Ah, meteorological baby names. Funnily enough, a “source” told People that Aire means “Lion of God.” It comes full circle – lions, Leos and air. Also: Kylie and Travis split up again but they’ve been on-and-off so many times, I just stopped caring.

Please tell me that is fake.
If not, no different from trophy hunting. Repulsive.

    • DouchesOfCambridge says:

Oh no… the prints are gonna come out with everything africa. She changed wolf becaue it didnt fit her dress 😂
I think she changed the name of her son because she probably tried to trademark Wolf before announcing it and that couldnt fly so here we are with a lion instead almost a year later

      • Lauren says:

“Aire” doesn’t even mean what they are saying it means. “Ariel” means “lion of god”. Their full of BS.

    • Tracy Belcher says:

      Indeed. Absolutely HIDEOUS.

    • Sam says:

Is that real? Omg how disgusting. I can not believe it. What sick person wears something like that!?! Says something about humanity that there is no outcry anywhere…

    • Emily says:

      It better be fake.

Even if it’s not. A pretend dead animal head is a gross look.

    • Barrett says:

Like is this a Disney lion king remake premiere and she wants her kids to see her In costume!!!

    • Clomo says:

Definitely fake, so appropriate for her. Why make this though? I guess it’s getting harder to find anything in the fashion world that is shocking and headline making, they are running out of new ideas.

    • Lucy says:

They are fake, but exquisitely handmade.

    • Snoozer says:

It’s absolutely not real. It’s way too small and a real lion’s head would be incredibly heavy. It’s couture, a piece of art. It’s not meant to be wearable or beautiful in the classic sense.

I’m personally not a fan of animal trophy art, even when it’s fake; but I can appreciate the artistry behind this even if I find animal heads off-putting and distasteful.

The theme of the show was Dante’s Inferno, specifically, the first part of his poem Divine Comedy, with the leopard, the lion, and the she-wolf-representing lust, pride, and avarice. The three beasts force Dante away from Heaven and back into the dark forest.

The irony of Kylie repping pride is pretty strong!

It could also be a statement about how humanity’s pride, greed and avarice tears animals apart. But that’s unclear.

Schiaparelli noted on IG that the animal heads were “hand-sculpted foam [and] wool and silk faux fur, and hand painted to look as life-like as possible.”

There were other pieces in the show that were like weird gold statues etc.

I do have to giggle a little at people saying they wouldn’t wear this. We’re not supposed to. It’s art expressed as fashion. It might not be to our taste, but it’s still art and it’s not actually meant to be worn like a normal dress.

  2. Anne says:

It is so vile and on brand that the Kardashians/ Kardashian-adjacents see their daughters as accessories to be exploited and their sons as deserving of privacy. The only brand of femininity these women know is performative.

    • Josephine says:

Totally agree – protect the boys, work the girls, and make sure that the girls are using their looks for money. It’s been so awful so see Kim’s oldest working it already. I do not understand people who would follow a child’s social media. It’s disgusting.

  3. Kristen820 says:

I kinda dig the dress. But then, I’m a Leo too.

  4. SAS says:

Ahahahahahahahaha!!!! This is one of those Emperors new cloak moments where celebs think they look amazing but they just look hellaciously dumb.

I get that it’s fake, a feat of craftsmanship or whatever but what is the point of making fake animal head dresses/coats so realistically that you appear to circle back around to calling animals fashionable? The other looks from the runway were gross too, and I normally love Schiaparelli’s crazy shit.

Re Air: I prefer the name Wolf lol

  5. Jillian says:

This dress looks so dumb, it’s not even good enough to be camp

  6. Eurydice says:

Huh, that’s a new way to display a hunting trophy. I’m waiting for the next dress to have a giant moose head on it.

    • Surly Gale says:

@Eurydice ~ “a giant moose head” made me LOL. This Christmas, I bought Snoop on a Stoop for my adult son because he missed out on the Elf on a Shelf scam, so I thought this funny.
After purchase, what should show up on my timeline but a picture (maybe from “Meanwhile in Canada”) of a Moose w/a Goose sitting on the Moose’s head.
Now I cannot unsee the visual of her wearing a moose head, and a goose comes flying down to sit on its head.

  7. Frippery says:

I wonder how long it took them to settle on Aire. I know that they’ve said there were several different names they tried and for awhile it was, pardon me, up in the air. So I am curious about how long the baby has actually been Aire.

  8. OzJennifer says:

That dress is horrifying. Are we doing trophy hunting chic this year?

  9. Jordana says:

I had to google it to confirm it was a fake lion head. While I’m happy a lion wasn’t murdered so its head wasn’t taken for a dress accessory, it’s still a really ugly dress.

    • Fabiola says:

Have you ever seen a lion ? They’re huge. Do you think someone can just attach a lions head and be able to carry it like it didn’t weigh anything. The school system failed some of you if you thought this was an actual lions head.

      • Wow, you’re rude. How many average people are able to get up close and personal to a lion in real life, in order to determine the size of it’s actual head?

  10. girl_ninja says:

I mean…what the f*ck? What is this look supposed to be giving? The way these women use their children to promote themselves is awful. These are human beings not accessories. It’s really heartbreaking seeing these black babies being used this way.

    • BillyPilgrim says:

Her dress makes me literally nauseous.
Is she so uninformed and stupid that she doesn’t know that lions are disappearing from this earth?!
(Thought lions were endangered but currently there are listed as vulnerable. Just looked it up).

I despise every cell of the uninformed , uneducated, bottom feeder KarTRASHians.

  11. Emmi says:

I wonder when we are going to be over the Kardashians/Jenners. They’re not even interesting from a gossip-perspective anymore since their original show went off the air. I get why they would want more privacy but their entire brand was based on them NOT being private or at least appearing not to be. These days all they deliver is more plastic surgery, sad relationship drama, and stunt dressing. And stunt dressing like this doesn’t equal style. Or being interesting. With everything that’s going on in the world, their decadent lifestyles make me uncomfortable.

  12. Nikki (Toronto) says:

It’s always so jarring to see celebrities’ faces on the red carpet or out in public compared to their social media feeds. What’s the point of all that face-tuning if you’re going to leave the house and show us what you actually look like?

    • molly says:

YES. This is exactly what I was going to say. Her IRL face is nothing like what she posts online. (And don’t even get me started on Khloe….)

Mostly, it’s all so very, very sad. Kylie Jenner is only 25 years old! The faces of all the KarJenners, from the ones in their 20s to Kris in her 60s, are just a giant pot of fillers, lifts, photoshop, and stage makeup.

  13. Miranda says:

…yeahhh, I feel like they were aiming for Ari, which does mean “lion” in Hebrew. Add -el to the end and it means “lion of God”. The rough translation of Aire, however, is “my half-educated parents can’t spell for shit but wanted to sound deep”.

    • SAS says:

I’m sure they think it’s also a clever play on Heir. Can’t believe I actually respect Nick Cannon more here for just using Heir.

    • Turkeylurkey says:

On twitter someone said aire is slang for “my penis” in Arabic. She’s getting mocked pretty heavily.

    • VeronicaSawyer says:

Oof. I’ll bet you are correct. I wonder if Kylie went to an actual school or was “educated” at home between nose jobs, lipo, implants, and filler appointments.

      • Tam says:

If I’m not mistaken, I thought I remember hearing that they were homeschooled and received GEDs. This was around the time of the “Kendall not being able to read” era

  14. Lightpurple says:

That looks heavy and uncomfortable. Is there a strap over the shoulder that prevents the weight from pulling the whole top down?

And why wear something that blocks your view when looking straight ahead, down, or to one side?

    • SarahCS says:

Your second point is my main question, she’s peeking over the top of it. I’m all for. a fun costume when the time is right but please don’t try and tell me this is ‘fashion’.

  15. Selene says:

Aire means “air” in Spanish. I think it was more for the meteorological aesthetic than anything.

  16. Chantal says:

James Earl Jones looked terrific wearing his lion’s head sash in Coming to America. She just looks ridiculous and like she might topple over. Aire? Yeah, that poor kid is going to be mercilessly teased…

  17. Still In My Robe says:

When the fake lion face is the more natural/less terrifying of the two in the photo…

    • SAS says:

I always have to check to confirm her age (25!). She could pass for her mother’s sister.

    • Fleur says:

Her face looks different than usual. I think she got a lid lift which is more common in older actresses (see also Nina Dobrev, Winona Ryder, Britney Spears). I can’t stand when people do this procedure. It raises where the eyelid rests on the pupil (I suppose it’s to make the eye “bigger”). I think it always, always looks super bizarre, no matter who gets it. It gives them a perpetually “surprised” look.

      • Erika says:

The dress is not cute. I saw it was hand painted and sculpted. But still gives off creepy hunting vibes. And her face is looking very off in IRL. 🫣

  18. NG_76 says:

This is so gross, animal heads are not accessories (even if it’s fake).

  19. Case says:

I absolutely hate that dress, my god.

I like the name Aire and how it matches Stormi in theme. It’s cute, it’s different but not weird. I was expecting they’d named him Astro and were just scared to announce it because of the tragedy at Astro World (which would’ve also been cute if not for that association).

  20. HeyKay says:

That dress is stupid and ugly. Big NO from me.

  21. Chaine says:

Either she is just trolling us with that contraption or someone big time trolled her that it was high fashion.

  22. Beverley says:

This is an extreme case of the outfit wearing the person.

  23. Mindy_DeLaCalle says:

perhaps I’m poor but wearing anything’s head is not in my wheelhouse nor taste.

  24. Same says:

I cannot decide what is more jarring — her face — the lion head — or her combover

  25. Duchess of Corolla says:

Sickening. Just like everything about that family. Next they will decorate their homes with heads on spikes.

What a vile, vapid, useless bunch. Why are they worthy of any attention at all?

  26. AmyB says:

That dress is absolutely horrifying!! 😱😳

  27. Zut Alors says:

    Money can’t buy you class.

  28. mellie says:

Her dress is just stupid looking, flat out dumb. And her face looks awful. She is starting to look alien like. It’s ridiculous what these women do to themselves. I hope I’m around in 30 years to see what they turn into.

    • MsIam says:

Looking at how everyone else around her is dressed, I bet she’s got to be cold in that bare shoulder dress, even with that lion head stuck on it. It reminds me of those giant stuffed animals they sold at FAO Schwartz that cost a fortune. But those were much more appealing than this dumb dress. And like others have said she looks 10-15 years older than her real age, like her face is made out of clay.

  29. wordnerd says:

Okay, but how does she solve the Wordle or eat some snacks from her purse?

  30. Kate says:

I don’t read that lion as being a nod to safari slaughter, the fact people wonder if it’s real makes me laugh and Kylie is not that stupid. I think it’s an over the top avant garde couture statement look, which has happened on runways for decades. Kylie is a Leo and billionaire who loves couture.. I don’t see how the dots are failing to connect here. It’s just an excuse to whine about her.

  31. Jewell says:

Everything about this is hideous. Face, hair, shoes so ugly. The lions head dress looks just ridiculous.

  32. Elsa says:

If it is fake, it is somewhat fun. If it is real, I’m enraged. It can’t be real. Right??

  33. Grumpy Ginger says:

This dress is hideous (FYI the head is fake). Also the amount of work she has had done on her face makes me sad. She is very pretty but it literally ages her 15-20 years

  34. Savu says:

Laughed out loud as I read “ah, meteorological baby names” while I breastfeed my son named Rain 😂 😂😂

  35. kelleybelle says:

The surgery has distorted her face to the point where it looks like someone is waving a turd underneath her nose.

  36. Margot says:

Can anyone else hear that excellent theme music from the tv series Airwolf??

  37. paintergal says:

Hilarious! Geez, these people are dumb as dirt.

  38. Saschafrom76 says:

Arabic speakers are dragging her. It means penis.

    • schmootc says:

Oh dear. I mean, my name is Sheila, which is weird if one is in Australia, but at least it doesn’t mean penis!

Although English speakers have people named Dick.

  39. Rachel says:

Listen, even Naomi Campbell, cannot make this sh*t look good.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-11666645/Naomi-Campbell-Irina-Shayk-Schiaparelli-runway-storm-animal-head-gowns.html

Also, this is a stunt by the designer for clicks. Only a Kardash would put that ugly thing on and prance about like they’re so fashion forward.

  40. Nanny to the Rescue says:

I mean, it’s beyond hideous – but to me it’s the same uglyness as leopard (and similar) prints.

  41. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

    Disgustamundo

  42. L4Frimaire says:

Her baby is really cute, no issues with the name. The dress is ridiculous and reminds me of trophy hunting.

  43. AmelieOriginal says:

Wow that is a new level of trashy/tacky, even for a Kardashian/Jenner. I’m glad it’s fake and hats off to the person who made such a lifelike looking lion head. That contraption (I refuse to call it a dress) is ugly as sin.

  44. Mel says:

    1- The dress is ugly
2- It gives the appearance of glorifying big game hunting , I’m going to assume that isn’t what they meant but it’s tacky and off-putting.

  45. lucy2 says:

Cute kid. I’m going to leave it at that.

  46. Bilingo says:

I see what’s going on. All celebrities dumped Balenciaga, now they are looking for the next shocking brand, outrageous. And Schiaparelli is trying to do the job. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮. Everybody is talking about them now, and they love it!
It will be cancelled soon enough.

  47. Well Wisher says:

    Oh my!!
    Tastelessly tragic??

  48. NotSoSocialB says:

    F.U.G.

  49. nnire says:

    Aire as in BillionAIRE?

    mmmmmkay.

  50. Janice Tkach says:

don’t care if it is fake, it’s revolting. lets encourage big game a**hole hunters
    stupid twit

  51. Jen says:

I’m just imagining her trying to eat a meal around that thing and laughing to myself.

  52. lipsticktraces says:

I’m a Leo. I love all things cats. I am a HUGE Schiaparelli fan and this SUCKS.

  53. TrophySalami says:

I like it. it is pretty cool looking

  54. RP says:

This is like a bad project runway dress. I can totally see the challenge: they get let loose in the stuffy section of an FAO Swartz type place. One competitor runs out of time, so they say F**K IT, bang out a quick black tube dress, lomp the head off a lion stuffy, quick hot glue it on the tube dress, and pretend it’s FAHSHUNN when they were really just trying to squeak it out by the deadline.

I can almost hear Michael Kors saying, “UGH! It’s TERRIBLE!” and Heidi saying it looks cheap.

  55. Laura says:

    Hi Celebitchy!!!

Well, since much has been said about the dress (horrible) I think it was chosen to take atention away from the fact that Kylie has unfortunately entered the territory of pillow face at the young age of 25 (!!!!). She is starting to look like Madonna in terms of fillers and cosmetic enhancement. She has been under a rock for the most part since the AstroWorld fiasco, so this is one of the few times in several years that the press has the ability to take pictures of her.

Its so sad to see young girls over tweaking their faces with fake crap and forever chemicals that will inevitably bring pre-mature aging.
