Back in September of last year, Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady both made very clear signals that all was not well and they were headed for divorce. We learned later that, around the same time, they had started working with a mediator to negotiate the terms of their divorce, and everything was finalized by the end of last October. Both sides leaked strategic PR stuff for two months, with Gisele telegraphing the fact that she was done with Tom’s BS and ready to live like a happy single lady. Meanwhile, Tom leaked sh-t about how he felt abandoned by Gisele and how he would go to war with her or whatever. The point is, Gisele has been clear with her fans and the gossip media for months now and I appreciate that she’s not really playing “how dare you pay attention to my life” games. She’s just openly briefing everyone about how she feels and what’s happening. It’s great. So… here’s another update from Gisele:
Gisele Bündchen is focusing on her career following her Oct. 28 divorce from Tom Brady. A source close to the 42-year-old supermodel says that Bündchen is “starting over in a good frame of mind” and that she feels “confident, strong and better than she has in a long, long time.”
“She knows she made the right decision in her life, and is focused on her career and her kids,” the source adds of Bündchen, who shares 12-year-old son Benjamin and 10-year-old daughter Vivian with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, 45.
The source also reveals that “Gisele will do what she needs to do and go where she needs to be, and I think that includes the Met Gala red carpet.”
The annual fashion fête, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on the first Monday in May, will honor Karl Lagerfeld for its theme and the celebrity co-chairs have already been announced. If Bündchen attends this year’s high-profile fashion event, it would mark her first solo Met Gala in 15 years. As a long time face of Chanel and a close Lagerfeld collaborator, it wouldn’t be surprising for her to honor the late designer on the Met red carpet.
The runway model has been a long-time attendee since 2003, but has been attending the affair with Brady by her side since their Met Gala debut in 2008, one year before they wed.
Tom and Gisele were regulars on the Met Gala carpet, not that they ever really did anything with the annual themes. But it was nice to see Tom entering Gisele’s world and have fun with it, and there were some classic appearances over the years. Oh well! I bet Gisele will have fun going solo to the gala, or she might go as a special guest of one of her designer friends. I’ve really respected how Gisele has approached every part of this over the past six months, from the way she spoke about wanting to move on, to divorcing him without remorse, to never looking back for even one second. She’s been done with that chucklehead for a while. Go ahead, Gisele. Get yours.

For most of her marriage she did the work of keeping the family together while TB lived football.
It is exhausting being a single parent and she was, even while married IMO.
G looks fabulous in that gold dress.
I’m happy for her. I also can’t help but wonder exactly when she was DONE with her marriage to Tom. From what it sounds like, she gave him a huge opportunity to start contributing more. Then when he didn’t, she essentially pulled the plug. To give him opportunities to put the work in tells me she still had feelings for him. I wonder if his decision to return to football killed all romantic feelings she had for Tom?
Relationships are complicated and messy. I’m sure there’s most likely not a definitive answer. She doesn’t owe it to anyone to explain it anyway.
There was rumors that Tom was quietly non-monogamous while on the road and I could see Gisele being 32 flavors of “OH, HELL NO” about cheating after all she’s done for Tom. Remember the Affleck nanny modeling like 4 Super Bowl rings on the plane? Those rings weren’t Ben’s.
Oh yes that Emma’s super sketchy and I remember Gisele letting us know how furious she was about that too! Good for her. Modeling independence and strength for her daughter

relationships arr messy. my partner and I are going thru a rough patch, and I have plenty of resentment built up. There was no abuse, no cheating, more underappreciation and unthinking cruelty. I don’t know if I love him anymore. But I know that I did at one time, and he loves me, so we are going to counseling. So I am putting the work in to honor a 15 yr relationship, and to know that if I do walk I tried all I could, and can walk away with no remorse.
Good on you for being so thoughtful about it all, 15 years is a long time. I hope your partner is putting in the same effort. All in all, whatever happens it’s good to talk about it, especially with a mediator. Good luck 🙂
May be a tad too much leaking about how happy she is for my taste. I’ve noticed those who claim.happiness most are those least likely to live it. And she’s beginning to sound attention thirsty.

All of these pictures are from the Tom period, yes? She is glowing in all of them. This is not new. Will be fun to see what she does at the Gala sans Tom, who is kind of like posing with a good-looking ironing board.
I’d really like to see Gisele stepping up her fashion game in the next ball…
We know that she usually dresses casually or “safe” and as they say, “un rien l’habille” (a “nothing” dresses her) but I wish she embrassed fashion like the many out there outfits she owned in the runway.
