Prince William & Kate will attend the Six Nations rugby match on Saturday

Prince William used to be the one who would do events here and there, events which would get little media attention if he was solo. Kate was the one who rarely did anything. But in recent months, that’s really reversed – Kate steps out for public events much more often than William. In the past two weeks, Kate has attended the BAFTAs with her husband, and she stepped out for that disastrous pancake photo-op. Meanwhile, William hasn’t done anything other than the BAFTAs. Something is going on and it’s not just William hiding out post-Spare. It’s almost like… people are starting to realize that William can’t do anything without being rude as hell, or without making some kind of insensitive gaffe or falling d–k first into controversy. In any case, Peg and Buttons will do an event this weekend. This is probably why William has done f–k all this week: why work Monday through Friday when you know you have to attend a rugby match on Saturday?

Let the battle of the Waleses commence! The Prince and Princess of Wales are set to go head-to-head at the Wales vs England Six Nations match at the Principality Stadium on Saturday.

William is patron of the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) while Kate became patron of the Rugby Football Union last year. The couple are renowned for being competitive with one another and no doubt there will be some friendly rivalry as they watch the action from the stands.

Prince George joined his parents for his first major rugby match between England and Wales last February where England saw a 23-19 victory. While it’s not known whether William and Kate will be joined by any of their children at the match on Saturday, Kensington Palace has confirmed that the Prince and Princess will meet injured players who are supported by the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust, before officially opening the Sir Tasker Watkins Suite – a new space at the Stadium which is dedicated for use by the injured players and their families ahead of matches.

The Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust, of which The Prince of Wales is Patron, was set up in 1972 as an organisation with a range of education, social and sporting objectives.

[From Hello]

At last year’s Six Nations match, Kate cosplayed Diana in a houndstooth jacket and they brought George as their little buffer. I don’t even think George is into rugby, not like he loves football. Anyway, this rugby patronage is the one they took away from Prince Harry and gave to Kate. She’s been feigning keenness for rugby for more than a year, so we’ll see what happens. It’s pretty funny/sad that William will literally only work one day a week though.

    • Southern Fried says:

      And pissed about it lol

    • Becks1 says:

It’s funny when we’re like, Kate’s been working more than William! She’s done TWO events in the past week and he’s only done one! lol the bar is so low for these people.

  2. Brassy Rebel says:

Going to a rugby match is not even work!

    • EBS says:

No, indeed, ordinary people pay a lot of money to attend Six Nations matches! England is terrible at the moment as well, although they will probably beat Wales.

  3. Jay says:

The BM is hoping for a replay of Kate and William at the 2012 Olympics, where they cheered and celebrated with the tiniest half-hug.

  4. Nanny to the Rescue says:

There’s very little chance Wales will win (they have had a dreadful season(s)) so I wonder if William will be able to hide his excitment at England winning.

  5. WHAT says:

We will see a lot of CA this summer 🌞 due to Invictus so maybe 🤔 this is a headstart for the 🧱 to do it throughout the 🌅 to keep up with CA

    • Amy Bee says:

This has nothing to do with CA or Invictus. This a regular Six nations match that takes place every Winter/Spring. Harry used to these matches when he was Patron.

  6. Becks1 says:

Ah, that match last year, where someone asked William if he and Kate were competitive about rugby and he made some comment that was basically the equivalent of “she keeps trying to make fetch happen.” It shot down the narrative of these two being super competitive with their respective rugby teams but I guess we’re back to that a year later.

I bet they bring at least george, maybe george and charlotte.

    • WHAT says:

Agree 💯. Within a year-We’ve gotten the just call me Catherine, they’re competitive, she’s a hugger, she’s starting a new campaign for early years, she’s a good cook, she’s making speeches, the kids enjoy painting 🖌️ or reading at that thing where they held the 🖼️, they are doing things the Middleton way, the daughter has a new nickname warrior princess along with getting a job, Catherine is dressing for the princess of wail. She’s more confident now, she’s hiring to expand her global effect. She’s seeking revenge on her nemesis But according to Catherine she’s still learning -Am I missing anything 😂 did anyone see that article in 360that Williams allegedly spent valentine Day with🌹and that’s why Catherine said she wasn’t getting flowers

    • Nic919 says:

I think that the media has been using competitive to describe Kate and William as a cover for the antagonism that has been going on with them for a long while and especially post Rose bush discovery.

They try to play it up as cute that they are always completing but it’s a really childish vibe to do it at every sporting type event. They are well into their middle age so it’s a tired line to use.

Looks like Mrs Just sKate By is finally singing for her supper. I’ll bet she never thought she would have to do so much “work” after getting the PsOW title. Has the panic set in bc as Queen Consort, her responsibilities and associated pressure will greatly increase so she won’t be able to hide her incompetence nor hide behind the kids. Her hideous wardobe won’t save her either. FreeWilly has more flexibility as the incandescent heir. Who wants to be in close proximity to those constant explosions of hissy fits and disrespect?

    • First comment says:

Do two events per week (where the one of them is a match and the other was located barely 15 minutes from Windsor) mean that she’s finally starting to work and that she’s finally singing for her supper? Really? We don’t expect much from her… the bar is so low!!!

  8. Harper says:

Spare is still #1. Every week thousands are reading first hand how heartless and aggressive William is. So he’s either hiding, or was forced by the grey men/Rose/physician into some kind of anger management/detox/whatever his problem is therapy during the week.

    • BeanieBean says:

Well, I mean seriously, this guy–they let him out & what does he do? He insults a woman’s cooking skills to her face AND in front of her child, plus ridicules another child for having red hair. They need to keep him hidden away. Dude’s an idiot.

  9. Mary Pester says:

Sorry folks but I think this is all going to end up like Diana and Charlie chinless! Remember how Charles started to sulk when people used to call for Diana to come to their side of the street, and how he was sarcastic with the press when he said “why do you never ask me questions about ME” Or the sulky sulk when Diana danced with Travolta. Let’s keep a close eye (yuk I know), on pegs and his expressions when he thinks the cameras are not on Him, should be an interesting few months

  10. Harleyb says:

As if keeping an eye on William when the cameras ARE on him isn’t hilarious enough. His facial expression in that pic of him waiting to catch the rugby ball has me in stitches!!

  11. Amy Bee says:

William and Kate are expected to perform for the press this weekend. I’ve seen at least two royal reporters talk about them acting out their rivalry on Saturday. My guess is the children will not be at the match because the last time the press didn’t get what they wanted.

  12. QuiteContrary says:

Maybe Willy will be pelted with cupcakes at the rugby match. And Kate will have to bob and weave around the incoming baked goods.

  13. Saucy&Sassy says:

Let’s see they’re opening a new place for the injured players and their families. AND, watching the game. I wonder how many engagements this will be on the court circular.
