Ariana Madix on Tom Sandoval cheating: ‘what doesn’t kill me better run’

Since the Vanderpump Rules affair Scandoval broke two weeks ago, there’ve been non-stop updates from peripheral characters, a few updates from two of the three main characters, and unending speculation from fans. Though Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss have issued statements apologizing for their affair, Ariana Madix has been silent. She was spotted out a couple of times, but she deleted her social for a bit in the days immediately following the news and her friends have been speaking on her behalf. Now Ariana has released her own statement acknowledging her pain and betrayal and thanking her friends, family, and fans for their support.

Ariana Madix is speaking out for the first time.

On Wednesday (March 15), the 37-year-old Vanderpump Rules star released her first statement after it was revealed that she and boyfriend of eight years Tom Sandoval had broken up amid his affair with their co-star and friend Raquel Leviss.

“Hi. Where to begin? I want to express my most sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love and support I have received from friends, family, and people I’ve never even met in the last two weeks,” Ariana wrote on Instagram.

“When I have felt like I couldn’t even stand, you all have given me the strength to continue and seen me through my darkest hours,” Ariana continued. “To say I have been devastated and broken is an understatement. However, I know that I am not in this alone.”

Ariana concluded, “So many of my closest friends are also grieving this loss right now and reeling from this betrayal on so many levels. I am so f–king lucky to have the best support system in the world and I hope I can repay every single person for the love you have shown me. What doesn’t kill me better run. Love, Ariana.”

Since news of the affair broke, both Tom, 40, and Raquel, 28, have issued formal apologies to Ariana. Tom addressed Ariana in his second public statement about the drama and Raquel broke her silence after that.

My favorite part of Ariana’s statement is the not-so-veiled threat at the end: “what doesn’t kill me better run.” YES. A woman after my own heart. Tom is still living in their shared house while they figure out the logistics of their split. He better sleep with one eye open. I don’t doubt that Ariana is feeling devastated and betrayed. Even if she and Tom were struggling, as is reported, you don’t really expect your longtime, live-in partner to take up with one of your friends and co-workers. He’s more committed to that gross mustache than he was to his girlfriend of 10 years. And apparently Tom and Raquel’s affair began last August: there was a Vegas trip Ariana left early because her dog of 18 years wasn’t doing well, then the pup died right before the boys’ night in the article when Tom/Raquel first got together. Ice cold.

Anyway, as previously discussed, after the affair news broke Bravo turned the cameras back on and  filmed scenes with Tom and Ariana and Tom and Raquel, but I don’t think Ariana and Raquel are said to have had any contact yet and there are rumors that Raquel won’t be at the reunion. One of Ariana’s friends, Katie Maloney, appeared on Andy Cohen’s show and said: “All things considered, she’s in a really good headspace. She’s taking care of herself. I saw her yesterday and we’re excited. She’s excited.” I’m assuming “excited” is an exaggeration, but it’s good to hear. Ariana is better off without him.

Tom Sandoval is a d^^che, and Rachel is a puta. Shame on her for f’ing over her friend. Where’s her girl code!?!? That just ain’t right. TS always tried to present himself as the nice good guy, who was better than everyone else. Boy, did he fool me.

Also, I watched the episode when he performed with his band, and personally, I thought he was just awful. A major rock star he will never be.

I’d like to amend a comment I made on an earlier post about this situation, where I said I think they scripted this. I was TOTALLY wrong. I went down a rabbit hole last night on IG, and I feel really bad for Ariana. She was totally blindsided by two gross, lying slimebags. Also, hilarious that Raquel’s name is actually Rachel.

How did you find the deets on IG? I’m not really an Instagram person so all of this seemed like huh

I think the “we’re excited” comment was probably regarding their upcoming sandwich shop they’re opening.

It’s a lyric from Kacey Musgraves song called What Doesn’t Kill Me 🙂
“You’re gonna feel me when I’m done, what doesn’t kill me, better run”

I have no idea who these people are and have only seen headlines up to this point. All I have is WOW. How do you do this? If your relationships isn’t in a good place work on it or move on. There’s never a legitimate reason to cheat and hurt someone like this.

A friend of mine was in the process of separating from her husband late last year when she found out he’d cheated on her and it was almost like a weight was lifted. She knew the marriage was done before she found out but it removed any final doubts and her sadness switched to anger and helped her move on. She’s doing pretty well now all things considered.

I knew Tom Sandoval was a lying, low-life cheat… but I NEVER expected this from him. Tom didn’t fool me, but Rachel sure did.
