Naomi Campbell wore a 2010 Chanel to the 2023 Met Gala: still stunning?

Naomi Campbell was one of Karl Lagerfeld’s favorites and he was one of her favorites too. They understood each other. For the Met Gala, she pulled a Chanel Spring 2010 dress out, probably from her own archives. She has an airport-hanger full of her archives, I can only imagine the Chanel pieces she already has. Anyway, I really liked this because very few women wore or were inspired by these kinds of Lagerfeld designs. There was so much focus on the tweed, the severe neckline, the ties, the pearls. This too is Lagerfeld.

Anna Wintour decided to use her own f–king gala to make a couple-debut with her boyfriend Bill Nighy! It’s true. There have been rumors about them for a while, so this is a confirmation. They’re happening. Anna wore Chanel Spring/Summer (not vintage).

Christina Ricci in Fendi. Ricci used to collect Chanel jewelry and vintage Chanel, but she said she sold most of it to get a divorce. This look is not her best, but it’s fine.

Penelope Cruz in Chanel. She’s always loved Chanel, and I am fine with this. Is it the imagery a bit too religious? Sure. But whatever.

Lily Collins in Vera Wang. A black-and-white dress with “KARL” on the train. Groundbreaking.

Paris Hilton in Marc Jacobs. I’m surprised by this overall – it’s not pink, it’s not crazy, and it’s just boring.

Goodness, I hope that’s Charlotte Tilbury level contouring x 1000 on Naomi, and not disastrous implants. It’s not a good look IMO.

My very first thought: buccal fat removal. She was perfect! She didn’t need it.

I could hear the comment on Lilly Collins’ outfit in the Miranda Priestly voice … perfection

Naomi looked lovely. Anna surprised me with how “fresh” she looked and Bill looked very handsome. Penelope looked like she was cosplaying from some Bollywood film. I did not like her look but like Salma she looked 10 years younger. Lily looked boring as did Paris and both of their shoes were ugly. What is up with the ugly shoes this year???

Replying in the wrong place. (Which shouldn’t surprise; I posted as “celebitchy” today rather than sparrow. It’s all going haywire.) This is for HeyKay. You made me laugh so much about getting a dog rather than going out with Anna. I like them together, but god did that tickle. Thanks

None of these are good looks.
    Boring.
This years MG seems to be either outrageous costumes or boring fashions.
And what is with all the cement block shoes? Ugly.
Penelope Cruz dress look very bridal to me.

AW and Bill Nighy. I am so disappointed that BN is involved with her. He can do better. Get a dog if you are lonely.

My darling Bill Nighy!!!! I can’t believe it. I kind of like the coupling; I think she needs a bit of a Brit again, to share that dry sense of humour. This is the first time I’ve ever thought he looked old, tho.

I need so much more information about them! What do you suppose they talk about? I would love to be a fly on the wall.

Are we all just going to ignore that Naomi has had way too much filler and now looks like Cicely Tyson? Okay.

Naomi’s face is so jacked up!

Saying above, it’s such a shame. These people live in a bubble where work like this is reflected back at them by everyone they work and hang out with. She must feel this is normal.

Naomi’s was my favorite look of the night.

Naomi & Lily look wonderful. So does Bill. It’s hard for me to envision Bill & Anna together. After 35 years with Diana Quick, he’s now with Anna?
