FKA Twigs swiftly exited a Met Gala afterparty when Robert Pattinson arrived

The Met Gala was chaotic when it came to celebrity exes. Robert Pattinson attended the event with his girlfriend of four-plus years, Suki Waterhouse. Rob’s two famous exes were also in attendance – Kristen Stewart and FKA Twigs. Not to mention, Liberty Ross was also at the gala – Ross was married to Rupert Sanders when Kristen had some kind affair with him. I’ve been hoping to hear some kind of gossip about a Rob & Kristen reunion, even if it was just to say a quick hello. Alas, no gossip can be found about Robsten. But! Page Six claims that FKA Twigs went out of her way to avoid Rob and Suki at a gala afterparty. Keep in mind, Twigs is currently with Jordan Hemingway and they were photographed holding hands after the gala.

FKA Twigs went out the back door of a Met Gala after party when she saw her ex-fiancé, “Twilight” hunk Robert Pattinson, with his new amour, Suki Waterhouse, spies told Page Six.

Sources said that the pop singer was happily partying at a starry party at the Box hosted by Richie Akiva, Doja Cat and Diddy. She even snapped pictures there with current beau Jordan Hemingway.

But we hear she headed for the hills (well, the Lower East Side side streets) when she caught a glimpse of the other happy couple.

Pattinson started dating Twigs in September 2014. They got engaged just seven months later but broke it off in 2017.

[From Page Six]

Is it really scandalous to simply go out of your way to avoid an ex? Some might see it as immature, but I think that’s the best option in many cases. Sure, water under the bridge, blah blah blah. Just avoid that person altogether, that’s what I say. Now, it is interesting to me that Rob, Kristen and Twigs all seemingly avoided each other very carefully, all while exes Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson apparently greeted each other warmly at the gala.

In my opinion when Twigs was being relentlessly harassed by his fans because she is a black woman Rob should have said something in her defense. The way Harry defended Meghan is the route Rob should have taken. I’ll always think of him differently now.

After what she went with that disgusting Shia LeBeuf I hope that she is happy and healthy.

    • Lincolngirl says:

And things have gone really great for Meghan in the racism department. Rob addressed the racism twigs experienced on Howard Stern and said giving the as*holes attention only made it worse. Did you ever consider that she asked him not to address it? Most Rob fans loved twigs – it was Kristen Stewart fans that trashed her. I hope twigs is happy, too.

      • Jan says:

She knows Harry loves her and have her back, that’s good enough.

      • girl_ninja says:

I don’t think he did enough and she suffered for it. Periodt.

      • Coco says:

I disagreed those comments and I’ve seen those comments weren’t coming from Kristen fans nor were most of his “fans loving her”

      • MrsBanjo says:

It would likely not have stopped the racist attacks but if he had publicly stood up for her it would have shown *her* that he gave a shit. And considering she’s talked about his racist fan base, how confident are you that she would actually ask him not to say something?

      • teecee says:

“Keeping silent to not make it worse” is the move of cowards. Robert is not someone who stands up publicly in the moment for anyone or anything. Instead he makes sideways comments his pathetic racist stans lap up and then years later “reveals” his true feelings. He’s a wimp, that’s all.

    • Aly says:

Robert had similar attitude when he was dating Kristen Stewart as well. He had no problem with how his stans harassed her. He is not going upset his stans for any of his “serious” girlfriends.

Yesterday when I saw pics of him and Suki at MET acting all lovey dovey, my first thought was yeah let me know when he starts defending her. That’s when I’ll believe in their true lurve.

      • Div says:

Yeah, it’s always puzzled me when his fans (and I actually think Robert is a good actor and sort of like him) try and blame Kristen’s fans for Twigs abuse considering those same fans also left horrible homophobic comments on her girlfriend’s social media pages (and some still do, a decade after they broke up, which is insane) and used to harass her long, long before she cheated on him. It’s clearly his fans, although some might be ‘Robsten’ but those people are clearly far more his fans than hers.

Like I said, I like him but I always thought he handled the Twigs situation badly. I get that Benedict Cumberbatch and Adam Driver have similar crazy fans, but he basically said something like ‘it’s horrible, but even MLK videos on youtube get hate comments’ or something inane like that.

    • Mii says:

you still insults him i his fans after all these years? Really? When you have multiple expamples how men i HW treat women? How about shia laboueuf??

  2. Emily says:

I think the main difference is Pete and Kim weren’t in love. They weren’t a long-term thing with strong feelings. FKA Twigs might still be hung up on Rob for all we know.

    • Coco says:

Or not I do believe she broke up with him. She was harassed with racist comments on her social medias telling her she needs to kill herself. So I can see how that will bring back bad memories and would not want take a chance to be photographing have to harassment back.

      • Emily says:

I didn’t know that. Her avoiding him is probably less emotional and more self preservation to avoid those comments.

    • Bex says:

I doubt it. They’ve been broken up for six years and she’s already talked about how racist and bigoted his fans are.

  3. Vanessa says:

Considering the Racist abuse Fka twigs went through with Robert fan base and he didn’t defend her not once. I think she has ever right to want to be around him I notice ever seen Fka twigs has her lawsuit with Shia page six has it out for her this isn’t the first time they reported on her and went out there way to paint her in a negative light.

  4. Sof says:

Perhaps things didn’t end amicably. Perhaps Robert is a horrible ex, who knows. I understand why he and Kristen wouldn’t want to be seen together now that there’s a Twilight tv show in the making, their fans were scary.

Petition for all media to ditch the word “sources” and use “spies” instead. It sounds more glamorous.

  5. Amy Bee says:

I can’t blame Twigs for wanting to avoid Patterson, that relationship was very traumatizing for her. Plus, he didn’t really stand up for her when his fans were attacking her.

    • Josephine says:

everyone keeps saying that he did not stand up for her but we all have no idea if that was planned by the two of them, a decision they made together. i can see her not wanting him to make a statement since she’s relatively private and perhaps thought things would did down more quickly if they both ignored it.

i personally do not believe she went out of her way to avoid him. she doesn’t seem the type to care.

      • Coco says:

Can I ask what dose Twigs being private have to do with someone standing up for her against racist commits?

I’ve never heard someone say oh no, don’t stand up for me against racist people because I’m too private.

      • Josephine says:

@ Coco – lots of celebs make no statements at all about their relationships and don’t appreciate their partners making statements about them or their relationship, even in defense of them. and him making some blanket statement about racism in general or her in particular would have lots of racists going harder.”standing up for her” could be seen as white savior complex by her or an acknowledgment that she’s not enough on her own or just a violation of a “don’t react at all” position.

not saying that’s the case here, just that people are always so firm in their beliefs about everything and it feels like this could have been a more complicated and nuanced situation than people believe. maybe he’s a total coward, but possibly not is all i’m saying.

      • Coco says:

I’m not sure if you are black or POC, but your comment reeks of play privilege for someone who hasn’t dealt with this type of racism before.

Twigs was open about the racism she received during their relationship, so why would she want him to keep quiet about it? Again I get that you’re a fan of his and you don’t want to see him as someone who wouldn’t protect somebody he cared about but…

      • Ameerah M says:

@Josephine – Twigs has openly talked about the trauma she experienced from Pattinson stans’ racist attacks and bullying. It had a tremendous effect on her mental health. Stop making excuses for a man not standing up for the woman he claimed to love and at one point was planning on marrying. He was a coward and I will always think less of him for it.

  6. R says:

Don’t think she’s hang up on him, but between his crazy, racist delusional twihard fans and Shia Lebeouf’s situation, she’s choosing to protect herself and all I hope for her is peace and healing. I honestly hope she’s happy and thriving. Steward also seems to want to avoid drama and crazy fan wars, so good for the both of them.

  7. HeyKay says:

    Why should she stick around?
I’ve been divorced for 20+ years and if I see any of his family or him, I leave ASAP.
You can’t pay me enough money to be within 500′ of any of them.
Good for her. Do what works best for yourself.

He was a chicken, low life when he did not publicly stand up for her. He knew the terrible SM harassment she was getting from his looney stans.

  8. L4Frimaire says:

She was subjected to a lot of racist online abuse while dating him. She was on a podcast a few years ago after she discussed the abuse with Shia LaBoeuf and she said what she dealt with while dating Pattinson really messed with her head. If she doesn’t want to see him, that’s her right and not a big deal. Hope she is happy and healthy in her current relationship.

  9. aftershocks says:

I’m intrigued by FKA Twigs, her unique style, and her creativity as a dancer and a singer. I’m a fan. I wish her well in love and in life. Hopefully, she is finding happiness and peace with Jordan Hemingway. He somewhat resembles Rob Pattinson facially. I had to look up Hemingway, because I’m not familiar with him at all. He’s an American avant garde photographer turned filmmaker. Born in New Jersey, he apparently works and hangs out a lot in Milan.

    • Carmen says:

I looked him up also. He is fine. They look good together. I hope he makes her happy after that she went through with LeBoeuf. Pattinson is just blah to me.

  10. Carmen says:

Pattinson only ever interested me when he was with Twigs. He and this Waterhouse woman make a bland, boring couple. JMO.

    • Bee says:

That pic of them is wack. Suki looks like a drugged up disco dolly (and that dress is terrible, what’s with the weird flaps?) standing there posing.

IDK. I like Twigs. She’s an interesting artist.

The whole thing starts so early, there are plenty of non drama reasons to go home from an afterparty.

    • Lux says:

I’ve tried to care about Suki Waterhouse (just kidding—I have not), but if Twigs makes everyone she dates more interesting, Suki makes them more blah (Pattinson, Bradley Cooper…omg I still remember the stupid “Lolita” pap shots that he staged with her at a park). She’s the female equivalent of that Glen guy Sydney Sweeney may be hooking up with—looks like 20 other models/actresses; not sure what she was in; dating life much more notable—though not by much—than her career, etc.

      • FaylonGivens says:

I was ambivalent about her before, but Suki Waterhouse won me over in Daisy Jones and the Six and with her solo music. She’s not a bad actress or singer, and she charmed me in all the promo materials and interviews I saw for Daisy Jones.

  11. Div says:

Twigs looked really nice at the party. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with avoiding an ex. And who knows if it is even true…Page Six has it out for her.

  12. AC says:

As I mentioned in yesterday’s comment Twigs looked amazing . To me it’s like a revenge look in front of an ex to be honest, she looked great . But I remembered all the racist abuse she got from people when she was with Rob. That was sad . My opinion a lot of that came from Rob fans . As a Robsten fan during the height of the Twilight days lol, a lot of online abuse came from Robs fans also who did not want him to be with Kristen. It’s funny how they try to blame it on the Kristen fans. But now he’s with Suki , no bad comments about her and to them she’s perfect.
Anyways he’s now happy with Suki . But I can understand Twigs not wanting to be in the same room , esp if she was really hurt by that relationship. I mean they were engaged at one point too. So it must have been traumatic and upsetting.
Kristen in my opinion has moved on from all this . She already had the experience in which she knows the world hated her after the cheating scandal, And she’s at the point of well she apologized, regretted her mistake and not going back To that again.
