Man, I forgot how Jennifer Lawrence was briefly part of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s tortured history. Miley and Liam were on-and-off for more than a decade. Liam worked with J-Law on the Hunger Games films, and they had a genuine friendship. According to vintage gossip, Miley was never a fan of J-Law – she was worried about Liam and Jennifer’s relationship, and Miley even called out Jennifer a few times. As it turns out, during one of Miley and Liam’s breaks, Jennifer and Liam did makeout and maybe more. But Jennifer hasn’t seen Liam in years, probably, and surely that’s all water under the bridge? Well, it’s all water under the bridge to J-Law, who appeared on Watch What Happens Live this week and ended up clarifying some stuff:
Jennifer Lawrence was not the wrecking ball in Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s relationship. The Golden Globe winner denied having an affair with her “Hunger Games” co-star during Monday’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.”
When given the opportunity to “plead the Fifth” on speculation that Hemsworth, 33, cheated on Cyrus, 30, with her, Lawrence said she would “love to respond” to the “fling” accusation.
“Not true,” the actress, 32, claimed. “Total rumor.”
However, Lawrence noted that while she and Hemsworth did “kiss one time” offscreen, it was “years after” the couple called it quits.
As for rumors that Cyrus shaded Lawrence in her “Flowers” music video in May by wearing a gold dress reminiscent of the Oscar winner’s “Hunger Games” premiere look, Lawrence denied that as well.
“I just assume that was, like, a coincidence,” the “No Hard Feelings” star, who married gallerist Cooke Maroney in 2019, said before asking viewers whether they were “satisfied” with her answer.
J-Law claiming she only kissed Liam “years after” his split from Miley makes no sense, given how many times Liam and Miley broke up and got back together, and given that J-Law admitted the kiss back in the day. Now, it’s likely that Miley and Liam were on a break when he kissed Jen. But they got back together afterwards, and Miley held the grudge, in my opinion. I definitely believe that Miley has a chip on her shoulder about Jen, but Jen probably doesn’t even acknowledge it.

Miley seems like the type to hold a grudge. I mean…she wrote an entire album about a man she cheated on and left over three years ago.
They had already been separated privately when she got with Caitlynn Carter, and some of the songs were written 1-3 years ago. It always seemed like she was less bothered by the cheating they both did in their relationship than the fact that he got breastfed over it while she was smeared as the Lolita Villain for it. Plus her relationships have always been a part of the culture wars, so that’s probably the best thing for her to make music about. It did seem like there was some resentment between her and JLaw years ago, but who knows now. I thought it was a bit much that people saw the gold dress and assumed it was about JLaw, when the two dresses look very different.
Yeah, the denial makes no sense with the timeline. Blind gossip rumors were that they all got together in some threesomes back in the day. If JL and Liam carried on after they broke up, grudge makes loads of sense.
JLaw has done something to her face. She looks 10 years older.
I don’t care about Miley, Liam or anyone they might have pulled into their messiness of a romance.
Miley and Liam had so much drama, so much endless publicity, the years they were off/on, then a fast short marriage, etc.
Is Miley going to keep writing songs and dragging up her past romances like Taylor Swift, now? Boring.

The is Jen. She’s 15+ years older than when she broke onto the scene, she’s had a kid and gained some weight. She’s allowed to age too. Maybe some Botox or filler, but it’s not crazy- she’s just not 21 anymore.
