Lindsay Lohan doesn’t think anyone can save her, “not even herself”

lohansundaytimes2

Back in October, when Lindsay Lohan was in Paris “working” as a creative consultant for Ungaro, she sat down for a photo shoot and interview with London’s Sunday Times Style Magazine. The photo shoot and interview were predictably sketchy, what with Lindsay looking like a train wreck faux-pr0n star, and with her making constant references to her “allergies” in the interview. In any case, Egotastic has some of the outtakes from the photo shoot, and it pains me to say that the Sunday Times actually chose the best pictures of Lindsay to include in the print edition. Sad.

In other Lindsay Lohan news, it looks like the tabloids didn’t get the memo that John Mayer has gotten Linds and Sam Ronson back together. Star and In Touch both have Lindsay hooking up with men – sometimes Brandon Davis (“Greasy Bear”), sometimes Kevin Connolly (from Entourage) and sometimes Leonardo DiCaprio (but only if he helps her career… chuckle). Here are the basics:

Star: Lindsay Lohan is having a “secret romance” with Entourage star Kevin Connolly. They’ve known each other for years but hooked up at a party at Leonardo DiCaprio’s house in November and are “sneaking around.”

In Touch: A friend says Lindsay “just feels defeated and doesn’t care what happens.” She thinks “no one can save her, not even herself.” LL was partyhopping on November 12 and wound up with Brandon Davis, her former enemy, and they were seen “bending out of sight and then wiping their noses after they stood back up.” Which translates into “sniffing coke.” When she saw photographers outside the house, she started throwing food out the window and acting crazy.

At another party, Lindsay begged Leonardo DiCaprio to help her get a film role and he “gently suggested” she clean up her act. An insider says Lindsay took that as a slap in the face and the kind of help people are offering is not the kind she wants. Plus, her friends are abandoning her and she’s resorted to hanging out with strangers. “These people don’t care about her, so they don’t stop her from taking so many drugs,” a source says. “She could overdose and they wouldn’t do anything. Lindsay knows it’s dangerous, but she doesn’t care anymore.”

[From Jezebel’s tabloid round-up]

How many times are we going to hear about Lindsay “not caring”. And how many times will the tabloids make a half-hearted attempt to make us feel sorry for her? I don’t feel sorry for her. Between the softcore pr0n pictures, the drugs, the enablers, the jewel heists, and the general sketchiness, at this point I only view Lindsay as a cautionary tale that should be shown to all young girls.

It used to be that she didn’t get an ounce of sympathy from me, but considering how abysmal her parents are it’s easy to understand why she’s unstable as she is. She’s been reared with very little proper support in an environment that eats people alive. I would have been more surprised had she turned out well-adjusted. Her “father” for godsakes leaked tapes about her under the pretense that it could help her get help. And where the fuck was he when she was a teen? Yeah, that’s right. In jail. Bastard. It’s shameful that a grown ass man does this. Sure, she’s a constant source of annoyance, but it’s like they put her on the path to be a trainwreck.

Oh, and I hate to say it, but she looks better here than she does most of the time.

    Same stuff, different day.

  3. lway says:

Oh Lindsay – just buy some rope already. Geez – i am so tired of hearing about you and your daddy, mommy, sisters, sam, your dog, your cat, your house, your friends. *sigh* bores me to death

There is NOTHING sexy about Lindsay. She oozes nothing but grossness – eeewww

  4. bella says:

Another kid pimped out by her parents to support the rest of the family. Daddy’s busy doing his own thing, Mommy’s busy being a best friend instead of a mother (probably so Lindsay doesn’t tell her to “get bent” and the money keeps rolling in), and Lindsay is bankrolling the entire family and the parents’ “lifestyles.” Disgusting. No wonder she’s such a mess.

  5. bella says:

On a completely different note, she would look so much more alive if she wasn’t sticking so stubbornly to being a blond. Honestly, since she’s been blond, I seriously doubt she’s had more fun. She needs to get healthy.

  6. heb says:

See those pictures were airbrushed to kingdom come and now lindsay is going to think she still looks like that!! And not fix anything!

  7. snowball says:

“Oh Lindsay – just buy some rope already.”

That’s all shades of nasty, wishing someone would commit suicide, even if it was a joke. I don’t recall anyone wishing death of any kind in the recent Hasselhoff post, just lots of support and hope that he can find recovery. And he’s been a sloppy mess for more years than probably LiLo was alive.

However much LiLo farks up, I still can’t help liking her a bit and really hoping she eventually can clean it up. She makes me sad in a maternal way. You have to wonder if she would have turned out differently if she didn’t have such utter scum for parents.

I think she looks fairly good in those pics. For once, she has her hair done and some actual normal looking makeup that doesn’t make her look like she’s scowling.

Eh, anyway, I still hope she doesn’t flame out like River Phoenix.

I hope this kid can get it together. I just saw I Know Who Killed Me and I actually enjoyed watching her. She’s good at what she does. (not to mention the cameo by Art Bell) I hope she pulls a Frusciante and shocks us all.

  9. Jessics says:

Broken people are typically the result of broken parent(s). They(Blohans) all need to just GO AWAY!!!! The public also needs to stop caring!

  10. Puppybrite says:

OMG Know Who Killed Me was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. Those stripper scenes were so uncomfortable to watch. Trying way to hard to be “artsy”

  11. Tia C says:

I don’t feel sorry for her, either. But I do actually think she is a talented actress. I enjoyed her in “Georgia Rule,” an underrated movie with excellent performances by Lindsay, Felicity Huffman and Jane Fonda. Recently I watched “Labor Pains,” which was awful, and it was obvious that she outclassed everyone else in the cast. It was a movie that was beneath her, but that’s the kind of stuff she’s getting these days cuz of her rep. Until she stops focusing on the trivial (partying and generally looking skanky) and starts focusing on what’s important (career, life in general), she’s going to keep going straight to DVD…

  12. AbbeyRoad says:

I don’t think she deserves a pass just because her parents are vile–obviously she’s responsible for countless bad descisions–but I have to wonder how mentally present she even is at this point. She probably doesn’t even know what day it is most of the time. She reminds me of the “this is your brain on drugs” commercial and it’s been grotesque for a while now. It feels sick to be watching a person circling the drain like this (so stop reading these stories…I know, right?) and as much as I think she’s made a string of terrible decisions and I’m tired of hearing about it, nobody deserves the slow, agonizing end that she seems to already be headed for. I’m pretty sure if she dies tomorrow, nobody on earth is going to be surprised. And whether you like her or not, that’s awful.

PS: does anybody else remember how she was on SNL back in 2005 and her opening monologue involved Amy Poehler being lowered from the ceiling looking strung-out and half dead and playing Lindsay, like, five years into the future?

  13. diva says:

What I don’t understand is why respectable fashion magazines have her picture and interviewed in them. She is a walking trainwreck, always looks a mess, her Ungaro show was a laughingstock of the fashion world. It just doesn’t make any sense that anybody would care to pay good money to see her photoshopped and want to hear from a known “junkie” since she is way past the addict stage.

  14. barneslr says:

She reminds me of Mackenzie Phillips (I just read her book). At least with Phillips, it took a long time, but she eventually was able to stop abusing drugs-hopefully permanently. Perhaps Phillips should reach out to her and try to help her find her way to sobriety.

  15. lucy2 says:

I feel bad for her because her parents are so horrible and no doubt it cause a lot of this, but she has made some bad choices and screwed up plenty on her own as well. She’s had opportunities and potential that most people could only dream of, and she’s wasted all of it. Plus she does not want or recognize that she needs help.

  16. moo says:

YEAH!!! Finally…. now go away already!!!

  17. valerie says:

she’s obviously crying out for help! i wish someone can help her like mckenzie phillips who can relate…this is so sad..

  18. You Go Girl says:

I don’t feel sorry for her. There are people that will never see the money she has seen, nor have the opportunities, she has blown. Stop blaming your father, your mother, your lack of childhood, whatever… You had enough money, to at least give you choices and you took all the wrong one’s Leo did her a favour telling her the truth. Stuff her, she isn’t worthy to even be reported about. She is a total has been.

  19. la chica says:

there comes a point when even when the parents are horrific, you just can’t keep blaming them. Lindsay has been at that point for a while now. she’s an adult. she makes adult choices. she likes to party above all else. it’s that simple.

  20. RaraAvis says:

Self-indulgent, self-absorbed. I tried to muster up some sympathy for her…and I failed.

  21. Cat says:

Can you say ‘photoshop’?? No way does her face and neck look like that.
PS think that tacky heart scarf came from her Ungaro line? Looks suspiciously like it

  22. NicoleAM says:

Hey, if she doesn’t care anymore, than does that mean we don’t have to either? She had some talent as an actress but she does nothing to help herself so there’s not much more to say….
Except that her lips in the first thumbnail are scaring me.

  23. Annabelle says:

You Go Girl … money doesn’t make you wise. If you have people around you giving you everything you want, you’re not going to learn any valuable lessons and then how will you be able to make good choices?

I blame her parents, its up to them to show her how to live and how to be a good & healthy person and how to deal emotionally. But she was thrown into showbiz @ too young a age. Now she does so many drugs because she can’t deal with all the pressure shes under. And I bet most people wouldn’t be able to either, if they were in her situation.

    @ Snowball – I think I luv you
