Rebecca Loos gave a paid interview about David Beckham’s Netflix series

As we discussed in this week’s Gossip with Celebitchy podcast, I loved Netflix’s Beckham docuseries, a four-episode series about David Beckham’s career, fame, marriage and family. There were so many parts about Beckham’s career which I really didn’t know about, but some of the most fascinating aspects of the series were the parts about his marriage to Victoria, and how deeply he loves her. In the section where David had moved to Spain to play for Real Madrid, David and Victoria both talk about how Spain was the hardest part of their lives and their marriage. Director Fisher Stevens asks David, in an oblique way, about all of the “rumors” when he first moved to Madrid. David gets very emotional, but stops short of actually admitting his affair with Rebecca Loos or anyone else. He basically says that it was hard for him to be in Madrid without his family in the first year, and he cried when Fisher pressed him about how in the world his marriage survived that period. The truth is, David doesn’t know how his marriage survived – Victoria had every reason to leave him, but she stayed and he basically doesn’t know why she stayed, but he was grateful that she did. Well, of course the Mail got Rebecca Loos to give them an interview. I wonder how much they paid her.

Without referencing the liaison directly or admitting guilt – or indeed anything remotely inappropriate – Beckham, 48, says the stories were ‘horrible’ and left him ‘feeling sick every day’.

Rebecca, 47, shakes her head. ‘It’s all, “poor me”. He needs to take responsibility,’ she says, plaiting her fingers lest she might be tempted to punch the screen. ‘He can say whatever he likes of course and I understand he has an image to preserve, but he is portraying himself as the victim and he’s making me look like a liar, like I’ve made up these stories. He is indirectly suggesting that I’m the one who has made Victoria suffer.’

In truth, she would have rather he hadn’t spoken at all about what was, for her, a life-changing episode. To her mind, it was buried.

Long since happily married with two children, she has lived for the past 14 years in blissful obscurity in Norway where she teaches yoga and works as a medical assistant.

‘It’s not like England here, it’s much less judgmental,’ she says. ‘I used to get people coming up to me in Waitrose, right in my face, taking pictures of me with their mobiles. Here people are cool about it. They don’t care. Most of them [Norwegian friends] say, ‘Well, I was with a married man once and I did this…’ It’s like everyone has done something at some point.’

Not with married men as famous as Beckham though. And few would have faced as much opprobrium as Rebecca, the privately-educated Spanish-born diplomat’s daughter dubbed a ‘sleazy senorita’ and portrayed as sex-obsessed. She doubts whether society would judge a woman ‘so harshly’ today. Now, because of the documentary, she has been dragged back into the limelight. And despite living in the mountains, she is not beyond harassment, though reflecting different times, it now takes a new form – vicious trolling on social media.

Sitting in a quiet corner of a hotel in the centre of Oslo, Rebecca watches Beckham expressing wonder at how he and Victoria ‘got through’ the scandal and how he managed to drag himself to training with Real Madrid. Seeing his wife hurt, he says, was ‘incredibly difficult’. His eyes moisten. Rebecca has seen enough and turns away. This in fact is her second viewing.

‘Yes, the stories were horrible, but they’re true,’ she says. ‘He talks in the documentary about this ultimately being his private life, shutting it down. I think it’s one thing to keep your private life to yourself. It’s another thing to mislead the public. And so many people had forgotten about all of this. So many people put all this behind them, this whole affair, the scandal and everything. And he’s dragged it back up again in a way that is affecting my reputation…I think if he was going to touch on this time and how difficult it was, it would have been really nice for him to have said ‘it was not my proudest time’.

‘The worse bit for me is that he says he didn’t like seeing his wife suffer. That bothered me. Because he’s the one that’s caused the suffering. He could have simply said that this was a tough time and I don’t want to talk about it. ‘If you don’t want to take responsibility for things because of your family and your children that’s absolutely fine. And if he had just said it was a tough time for us and moved on I wouldn’t be here today. But he specifically made it look like… my fault, that he had nothing to do with this.’

[From The Daily Mail]

Yeah, this reminds me of the British media finding Prince Harry’s first lover and paying her to give multiple interviews and she repeatedly claimed that Harry violated her privacy, when really, he never named her or gave any details about her. Beckham didn’t name Loos in the series, although, obviously, people were well aware of that whole episode because of the tabloid reporting at the time, and because Loos herself sold her story and tried to launch a career out of being David Beckham’s mistress. I came away from that part of the docuseries as David taking ownership of his infidelities though, and both David and Victoria acknowledging that time period could have been the end for them. The fact that Rebecca Loos is still giving paid interviews and trying to act like the victim here is absurd.

Loos also gave a different paid interview to the Mail about one time, in Madrid, where she caught David sleeping with a Spanish model. Again, David kept it vague in the docuseries because – clearly – he was fooling around with multiple women, especially in the first year he was in Madrid.

She is right that he should take responsibility, but I believe that he has with his wife and it is THEY’RE decision as a couple to not to say it out loud to the world. But Jessica is responsible for herself too. She knew that David was married and married to one of the most famous women in the world. She’s no innocent in all this at all. She needs to chile with her messy ass.

    • Belgiumsugar says:

THEIR (not important though). And who is Jessica? You mean Rebecca?

    • MoxyLady007 says:

I’ve followed celebrity gossip for forever and I didn’t remember her name at all. Or even that David had a primary affair partner. I just thought he was sloppy and banging anything he could. So gross.

Anyway. If I didn’t want people dredging up a painful period in my life – I certainly wouldn’t give an interview where I tell the world where I live and the cities I travel to.

No one knew she lived in the mountains in Norway or had kids etc. just overall not an intelligent move.

      • TikiChica says:

This was massive in the UK at the time. Impossible to forget this affair. She was referred to as the “sleazy senorita” (I’m rolling my eyes). There was a big survey done, and something like 50% of the public blamed Rebecca for the affair, than the other 50% blamed Victoria (for not moving to Spain with her husband) and somehow nobody blamed poor golden balls. And then he got his OBE awarded soon after, and those pictures with Victoria draped around him… as I said, it was big. But he never sued her, and everybody knows it’s true.

      • Laura C says:

The daily mail where stalking her and her family up the mountains taking photos as soon as the doc was released, so she was all over the tabloids before she even said a word. Also, in the interviews she says at the time the news of the world contacted her about the affair and said its coming out anyway and that’s why she sold her story. We now know that the news of the world were hacking phones, so it’s more than likely she was duped and they couldn’t have printed anything without her as info obtained illegally. I’m Irish and we get all the British tabloids and tv stations, she was treated abysmally by the entire British establishment and she was a young woman. I’m here for her making money and defending herself.
Off topic, I had my daughter in 2003 and I wanted her to have an old fashioned name as there were so many celeb baby names about at the time… I named her Rebecca and her middle name is Louise. As soon as I had registered my little Rebecca Louise’s birth making her name official the scandal broke. Talk about raging, I was the biggest posh spice fan on the planet and I’d just given my daughter the same name as her nemesis!

      • lordperiperi says:

        @tikichica
Not just in the UK, I would say the whole europe! It was Victoria Beckham ‘s husband to us girls, it was david beckham to the boys: we were all shocked!

Her interview was replayed on national tv station in Croatia, even!

    • StillDouchesOfCambridge says:

It’s been ages, they have decided to stay together, they have a family, she has a family now – why stir the shiz up? I have really come to like the beckhams because of their show, I dont want them to separate, this year was brutal! 2023 is divorce festival. I’m sure he banged her and eveyrthing else, but this makes her look like someone who is looking for another round of 15 minute fame.

    • J says:

Exactly. Obviously David needs to dig deeper and be better. But it’s kind of rich that the other woman is pressing this, lol, when she drove the getaway car for him to rob the proverbial bank!
The Interloper also holds responsibility. She knew what she was doing would also hurt another woman. And now she’s doing it again by talking to the press and reopening wounds. For cash! Sounds about right for an other woman.

  2. Tila says:

David was not taking ownership by giving oblique answers. He cheated, the story was about to come out and Loos’s career would have been finished anyway. She cashed in on her notoriety then faded from public life. She lives a quiet life in Norway and I really do understand why she gave an interview. She is pissed off there is no accountability on his side.

    • Robert Phillips says:

I hate to inform all these people but David Beckham isn’t the end all be all outside of England. The majority of people don’t know or care who this woman is. So yeah she is the one who brought herself up. If she’s living a quiet life. It’s because people don’t care who she is. Not because she wants to live a quiet life.

      • Flowerlake says:

Agreed, Robert Philips. I didn’t remember her at all.
She is now bringing the spotlight on herself.

I watched the documentary, but it didn’t even make me think of her.
Now that she is giving this interview, I vaguely remember her name.

      • lordperiperi says:

Maybe it’s because ‘ma european millenial, but I remember her quite well, down to the last name!
It was such a huge story at the time, I remeber it well, it was the first time I realized celebrities are a brand which doesn’t have to be authentic to their true self. Usually isn’t.
Let me tell you, everytime I see him in media I think how luciy he was that Victoria didn’t dump him then. Without her, I don’t think his career would greatly differ from other retiresd football megastars of the time.

      • The Old Chick says:

Robert, I’m assuming you’re American? Beckham was a huge sporting star around the world in soccer playing countries. Not just the UK. And guess who played soccer at the height of his fame? The rest of the world (probably not US). You might be mistaken in that comment.

      • Snoozer says:

I’m Australian, until very recently we never cared much about soccer, and I remembered exactly who she was. I never forgot! It was EVERYWHERE. For so long.

And the key thing I remember is that when she sold her story, she told them that David used to compliment her body and compare it favourably to Victoria’s and whine that Victoria was too thin.

I was utterly disgusted. It felt like an unnecessary, hurtful detail that amounted to kicking Victoria when she was down.

I don’t dislike Rebecca for the affair, I dislike her for her cruelty.

  3. ThatsNotOkay says:

The David Beckham texts are a doozy. I went down a rabbit hole with Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, and Wendy, playing MadLibs with all the asterisked words. The man said he was no longer attracted to his wife and her too skinny body. He is putting all this nonsense in these other women’s heads and saying he and his wife are more sister-brother.

The tabloids find out about the Loos affair and she says nothing for a while, but she does do a paid interview, I believe, once they flat out deny everything. Victoria was calling the women lying cows (at least to her friends), and it was just…delusion and lying by him and her. Very messy and, to me, all on David.

    • Torttu says:

      Totally agree.
He’s whiny with a tiny violin whiny voice.

    • Mireille says:

He’s such a pissant to say that about his wife, while trying to hook up with other women. I’m still rooting for Victoria to leave him. He’s making excuses and Rebecca is still profiting off the affair. Neither one looks good here.

      • Justjj says:

Is she British hot or something?? Because she looks like she could be literally anyone with a Michael Kors bag in a south Florida dive bar.

  4. anniefannie says:

In general I thought Beckham held himself accountable while not addressing or revealing details that could have blown up. He was definitely at a crossroads in his career/life and was lost. While I’m never one to excuse an affair
( my ex is an ex for a reason) I definitely got why/what happened. I came out of the docu series really admiring Victoria and having grudging respect for David clawing his way back

    • GrnieWnie says:

Me too! I thought he did a good job at addressing the affair. I kept seeing these documentary reviews saying they were disappointed that he hadn’t addressed it and I thought, do people need everything spelled out to them explicitly nowadays? He clearly addressed it. He clearly had the affair – hence the regret (tears in his eyes). He also clearly assigned the matter to his personal life and declined to openly admit it. But the man detailed what his mindset was at the time, which explained why he’d have an affair in the first place: he was lonely, he wasn’t around his family, etc. So I don’t know how people could think he failed to address it. I thought he did it in a professional manner without stomping on Victoria’s feelings or embarrassing his children.

I actually thought it was a bit inspiring. Every situation is different so I wouldn’t take it as a model for any time someone has an affair, but I do think that a relationship can be worth staying in even if there has been an affair.

  5. Amy Bee says:

Is she offended that Beckham didn’t name her? That’s what I’m getting from this.

    • Kt says:

Yes. She attempted to make a media career out of it the first time around, and clearly wanted to be named so she could pick up more of that work,

    • Ameerah M says:

      Exactly.

    • LRB says:

No that is not my take on it at all. It is interesting that that is the view of (mainly) Americans but Europeans who perhaps lived through it more directly feel differently – see quite a few other comments from Brits/Europeans. I think she is annoyed that he didn’t take ownership. He should either have shut up, or admitted the affair. He should also, as a courtesy, and knowing how the British tabloids work, given her a heads up. Again it frustrates me that some are commenting she shouldn’t have slept with a married man. HE was the one who had an affair, she was single, so at the very least it is equally both their faults/responsibilities.

      • KT says:

I’m a Brit, andI remember that time period very well.

Including that she hired the notorious Max Clifford (who later ended up in prison) to be her PR, that she ended up on Reality TV shows, at one point manually stimulating a pig to get sperm (really), and that she was doing daytime TV interviews about it all as recently as 2013.

She absolutely tried to turn having sec with Beckham into a career.

  6. Jais says:

I watched and really enjoyed the series. A sports and gossip doc combined? Yes, please. It’s interesting. Idk, if I was Victoria, I would have said boy bye. But she didn’t and they seem in a good place now.

    • ThatsNotOkay says:

She told, I think it was Baby Spice, that she thought her marriage was ending. But then also was saying she wasn’t going to let these women take her man. So I think she wanted that specific man, for some reason, whether it was because they made a good brand, or because they were already building a family, or because she wanted to find the love again, or some combo of the three, but he was telling women (multiple) that there was no more sex left between him and Wendy (Victoria). But then a month or so later—after the next expose on one of his affairs—she’d be pregnant with another kid born in his spittin’ image. So…the man was full of sh*t.

      • sunny says:

I think people deal with betrayal differently and she probably had many reasons to stay including but not limited to their young family and how in love they had been over the years. Like, this is a man who would drive four hours and back to see her for an hour at a time when their schedules were busy, would charter a private plane to see her for mere minutes at a time at the start of their relationships. I don’t doubt there was a lot of love there once.

Good for her for making a choice that worked for her.

      • Andrea says:

@sunny that is lovebombing, not love IMO. He did all of those grand gestures to snag her and have her hooked. Now, she is desperate for scraps while he moved their family around for his career. Yes, she has her own career, but she had to bend to his decisions and she seemed bothered (as I would be) that he didn’t even run it by her first, just we are going to x now. I do wonder if she is getting the love she deserves. That was my take on it all.

She has the right to choose to stay with him and work past his infidelities. Who are we to judge?

      • Sienna says:

        @Andrea

Oh please, enough with the armchair psychology. Were you there? Have you ever been in love? The early heady time in a relationship is about spending as much time together as possible. When there is distance that includes making enormous sacrifices to see each other.
My husband and I would drive for hours for a few minutes during our courtship. It wasn’t “love bombing”, no one was being “gaslit”, nor were there “red flags” or any other catch phrase you want to throw at it.
I’m so tired of throwing labels around psychoanalysis.
Like you said at the end…They’ve obviously had a real marriage and chosen to make it work on their own terms, but beyond that we just don’t know.

  7. Eurydice says:

Once he agreed to the docuseries I don’t know how he could have avoided talking about the affair. I don’t have an opinion about them one way or the other – I just wonder how Loos’ reputation could be affected since Norway is so non-judgmental and nobody cares what happened in her past.

  8. Nokitty! says:

I like how the Mail interprets a simple and probably unconscious act of lacing her fingers as some sort of sign of anger from her “lest she might be tempted to punch the screen.” It’s also funny how they seem to disregard their own part in dubbing her “a ‘sleazy senorita’ and portrayed as sex-obsessed.” The British media love using barbed alliteration in their content. Effing clowns.

David doesn’t need to take responsibility to Loos, the media, or the public. He only needs to do that to his self, his wife, and family. The people directly impacted.

I think Loos an attention seeking a-hole who clearly dismisses any responsibility on her part to being a decent human being. Just because others have had affairs with a married people doesn’t make it normal or cool. Yeah, it happens, but all involved are still sh**ty.

  9. QuiteContrary says:

I thought the series was great, too. I have newfound respect for Victoria.

Loos said: “Most of them [Norwegian friends] say, ‘Well, I was with a married man once and I did this…’ It’s like everyone has done something at some point.’”

    She needs better friends.

  10. Ragna says:

As a Norwegian I can’t say that I agree that we as a people don’t bat an eye at sleeping with someone’s husband. Does it happen? Sure, just like it does elsewhere in the world.

But are we judgement-free about it? Absolutely not. However we’re not going to lord your past over your head forever if you appear to be moving forward and trying to be better.

But we aren’t any less judgemental about that stuff than anyone else. However, as a people we’re more likely to put ourselves on fire than approach someone we don’t know even if we think that they did something bad.

  11. wordnerd says:

My two main takeaways from this series were that he was an amazing soccer player and a very selfish person. On top of the cheating (and btw, I highly doubt it was just with this woman) he made so many career decisions that didn’t consider his wife or kids, so he is VERY lucky she stuck by him. I do think he loves her very much, but I wish he’d taken a bit more accountability for the infidelity – they really glossed over that whole saga.

    • Chaine says:

Yeah, he’s such a whiner. If you read the interviews Rebecca Loos did with the Fail, there is one where she even complains that while David was cheating with her, he cheated on HER with another model, and she walked in on them in bed because Victoria Beckham had called looking for David and Rebecca was trying to take the phone to him. So yeah, he was no doubt re-living his single man days in Madrid and I have no doubt if he cheated then so freely he has probably cheated repeatedly in the 20 years since when he has alone and sad so, so many times, poor lil man with his lil squeaky voice and his lonely p***s. My take on the whole thing is a loveless marriage but they have their brand to protect and they will keep putting up that front because it keeps him popular and brings him lucrative endorsements and business partnerships, and being married to him keeps her fashion business afloat.

      • Talia says:

Sadly, I think she is still genuinely besotted and has no idea about most of the cheating.

If they both had an agreement about their ‘brand’ and turning a blind eye to outside affairs, it would be far more equal but there’s never been any suggestion of Victoria having a lover and the rumours about David circulate *constantly*. I have no idea if they are true or not but they are definitely out there.

    • Ameerah M says:

Yup. He was very much all about himself most of the time. He reminds me of a lot of male athletes tbh. Especially famous ones.

    • Jaded says:

Yeah, and since he now spends so much time away in Miami with his soccer team there have been plenty of rumours about his numerous infidelities while Victoria is back in England running her fashion biz.

  12. Naye in va says:

He didn’t say her name but gossip sites definitely did. So I don’t see that it’s a problem for her to do a paid interview. Presumably he got paid for the Netflix special right?
Yea without saying he name he dragged her back up to the surface all on his own. And we know, we KNOW that men always come out of affairs a little rosier than the homewrecker and that’s exactly what’s happening here, and Loos is calling it out.

I am very surprised at the tone of this article, given the convos we’ve been having about JT and Britney. Loos is not innocent but she also doesn’t deserve a second shaming

    • Chaine says:

ITA!!! The main publicity about this documentary has been that it touches on the affair. He is 100% making money off of it, I don’t have a problem at all if she does it too. She was one of the original queens of parlaying an affair into reality TV fame. Wouldn’t be surprised if she pops up on some more shows now that his revival of everyone’s memories has pushed Rebecca back onto the D list!

    • theotherviv says:

THIS. Thank you for pointing this out. He was paid millions to film this and people are busy complaining about her. He actually had a prime PR opportunity to say “I was young and acted like a hot mess and turned several women’s life upside down. My wife and kids did not deserve it and neither did the women I dallied with deserve to be dragged through the mud by press and public. “ It would have been sooooo easy. And cost nothing. And yes, there are smart and kind women who make mistakes and fall for lying married men, men much poorer, uglier and less talented than GoldenBalls.

  13. Andrea says:

Binged the entire documentary and it seemed David lovebombed Victoria to snag her. Then, once he had her, it was all about him. He moved their family constantly without consulting her at all. I was horrified regarding all of that. I thought she must really love him to stick by all of this, especially if it is true that he constantly cheats on her to boot! Did anybody else feel the same?

  14. Barbara says:

She slept with a married man. NEITHER of them are victims.

  15. Andrea says:

Honestly, David was a high profiled married man who had an affair with his assistant. We don’t know about the countless others he has rumored to have slept with, only Loos. I don’t get why we have to come down on her so hard. She was not in the high profile relationship and as someone mentioned before, has anyone read the texts?? Good grief. He told women what they wanted to hear, that it was a sexless relationship to get them to sleep with him, when clearly it wasn’t given their children’s age timelines. I felt bad for Victoria reading the texts and hearing how she wasn’t even consulted when they made multiple moves. Yes, she chose to stay, but I can still feel bad for how she was treated too.

    • Ameerah M says:

@Andrea – no one is coming down on her for the affair- they are coming down hard on her for selling her story for profit. Which she has done numerous times. I honestly didn’t know who tf she was until just now. She clearly felt the need to remind people that she was the other woman.

  16. Ameerah M says:

So basically she’s mad that neither David nor Victoria gave her oxygen by mentioning her by name. So she felt the need to remind folks. And get paid for it. David isn’t a victim – and neither is she.

  17. Ameerah M says:

@sacha76 He didn’t mention her by name hun. Neither of them did. Which is what she was ACTUALLY mad about. Which is why she felt the need to remind us all that she was ONE of the women he cheated with.

    • Naye In VA says:

No, the documentary didn’t but every single review of the documentary DID. It doesn’t exist in a bubble and because of that, she has effectively been brought back into it

  18. Banga says:

Everything Loos is saying is right! He didn’t take ownership for his choices and came across throughout the documentary as a selfish husband who only considers his family AFTER he’s taken an action that impacts them.

  19. greenmonster says:

So much early 2000s gossip in the last couple of years – I love it. Well, it seemed like back in the day Rebecca was trying to make a career out of the affair or at least not go down quietly. I remember her showing up to an event (maybe an awards show) with a girlfriend who was dressed up as a David Beckham look-a-like.

For this interview… meh. Did people really care? When has this docu-series been released? Have there been speculations about her or who DB was talking about? If she would have stayed quiet, things would have died down quickly. Now, she made a bit of money, the topic stays in the media circle a little longer. She saw an oppurtunity and took it. The Beckhams will be fine, Rebecca Loos will be fine.

  20. Lee says:

This lady needs to get over herself and move on! Nobody cares

  21. L4Frimaire says:

Beckham was definitely being cagey and evasive in the docuseries about that time and he did cheat. At the same time they have moved on as a couple and seem really solid. I don’t know what more could have been said because Loos isn’t the focus of their lives and never has been.

  22. AC says:

Victoria had to be really strong for trying to keep it together with her family. Most women would have left their husband. The trust after cheating isn’t there anymore.
Agree David should be accountable (and is still accountable). He should keep up above that his family is still in tact because of Victoria’s strength. I don’t give Loos a pass either. She knew he was married and she did paid interviews at the time to try to get her 15 secs of fame- Unfortunately, this doesn’t go lightly and there’s going to always be consequences, and karma gets its turn eventually. And now it’s reflected not just on herself but this scandal has reached her children as well.
Btw… interesting trivia note, I read somewhere she’s 2nd cousin to Piers Morgan of all people.

  23. AC says:

Meant to say “he should keep thanking up above that his family is still in tact because of Victoria’s strength”. ⬆️

  24. Jayna says:

I think Victoria and David are a great couple. They’ve weathered bad times and come through it. I believe he is shaped by his family. His parents are still together and he loves them very much. IMO David wants that family unit, which one day will include his and Victoria’s grandchildren, all together at big family get-togethers at his and Victoria’s home. I don’t see them breaking up and him trading her in for a new, young shiny thing and fracturing his family.

For those of you who watched the documentary and loved it and David’s Manchester United teammates, watch Gary Neville’s podcast that came out recently with David and all of the main teammates. It was so lovely and entertaining. David is a humble guy as far as how he treats others, not acting like the big dog. The camaraderie is beautiful to watch between grown men who have known each other since their early 20s and/or teens. And David’s father coming out at the end and showing so much love toward Roy Keane for his years as the captain of Manchester United was also touching. His dad loves Manchester United so much.

Gary Neville’s podcast with David and the rest of his teammates.

Because I haven’t watched the Beckham’s documentary, I didn’t want to respond to this yesterday. I don’t exactly know how David did/not take responsibility for having affairs.
That said, nowadays if your sex drive is much higher than that of your partner and you’re monogamous, one of the options the doctor is going to offer you is antidepressants. Did he mention that in the Netflix doc?
Next, this specific ex, (“trashy” or not) was HIS assistant—she WORKED for him. So not only was he mega rich and famous, she was dependent on DB for her job. Sure she shouldn’t have gotten involved with him, but since he was married and he was her boss, I think that he is MUCH more responsible for the affair.
RL also had a relationship with Jenny Shimizu, Angelina Jolie’s ex, before finding love in Norway…it’s not clear to me if the tabloids searched her out or if she got in contact with them. The Beckhams chose to have that period of their lives in the documentary. They must have known RL coming out of the woodwork was a possibility (if she approached the tabloids). If the tabloids are the ones that contacted RL, I do understand this woman’s anger.
I don’t like her attitude toward infidelity, but it is one that DB shared.

He was responsible for making Victoria unhappy. That part she didn’t really get wrong, regardless of the mistress’s wrongdoing. Maybe David was talking about the invasion of the press, but …famous people know how that goes if they’re not discreet. I thought maybe he wanted to be caught…

I was under the impression that David has cheated on Victoria a lot. They’ve moved on , but there seemed to be a lot of rumoured infidelities.

Both he and the mistress look tacky and Victoria is the only one I admire for forgiving him. I’m not sure what I would do in her position – I doubt I’d be as gracious about it. She’s handled it with dignity when she could have gone full
scorched earth on him. The latter could be a possibility for me haha.

Rebecca is much prettier than Victoria.

I don’t know why everyone is on David Beckham’s side. He was the one that was married and choose to cheat on his wife – with more than one person! And then they threw all these women under the table by saying they were all out for a payday and he was in a loving marriage and committed to his wife. He has NEVER accepted responsibility for his choices and for choosing to cheat on his wife.

In the interview I read, Rebecca even said that at the time she was young and now being a married woman and a mother she would have handled the whole thing differently. Honestly, it sounds like he said a lot of BS to her that she believed and when she caught him in bed with another model was really hurt by it and reacted badly.

This! David Beckham sucks. I don’t think his marriage with VB IS anything aspirational or worthy of a documentary. He clearly lied to the women he cheated with and his wife – tale as old as time. I feel bad for the young women who believed his very convincing lies. Why aren’t we holding David fully accountable again?
