Eden: Duchess Meghan could have been a real celebrity if she had stayed in the UK!

Before then-Meghan Markle met Prince Harry, she was a successful working actress on a popular cable drama. She was happy, moderately famous, making good money and well-respected in her industry and beyond. She got free clothes, she ran in elite circles, she traveled by private plane, she could afford to give herself an eat, pray, love summer. After two years of living in the UK, the Duchess of Sussex was likely clinically depressed and lived some of the darkest moments of her life, including contemplating suicide after being targeted by a palace-authorized smear campaign. She left that country, painstakingly built a new life for herself, and has spent the past four years healing and thriving. But, according to Richard Eden, Meghan is nothing more than a Hollywood wannabe because the Windsors are “24 carat celebrities.”

Meghan Markle now looks more like a Hollywood ‘wannabe’ than a member of the Royal Family, says Richard Eden. Writing in the latest edition of his Palace Confidential newsletter, Eden suggests that, in moving away from Britain, the Duchess of Sussex has turned her back on a life of genuine celebrity. And that success no longer lies within her own hands.

‘While the Princess of Wales stole the show in a striking scarlet cape coat as she greeted South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol at the start of his state visit to Britain, Meghan was courting the cameras on a red carpet in Los Angeles,’ he writes. ‘The contrast was striking. Members of the Royal Family walk down a red carpet when the other guests at a film premiere or theatrical first night have already taken their seats. But here was Meghan, who would have joined Catherine at the opulent state banquet at Buckingham Palace, instead walking down the carpet at the Power Of Women event.’

Unaccompanied by Prince Harry, writes Eden, Meghan ‘couldn’t have looked less regal… just another celebrity waiting to be interviewed by a reporter for Variety magazine. She posed for photographers like the wannabe starlet she once was, before being rushed along impatiently by another guest. Her interview emphasised that success is no longer in her own hands. She talked about the unnamed “exciting” new projects that her television company, Archewell Productions, “can’t wait to announce”. But if and when she does announce them will depend entirely on their paymasters at Netflix.’

It is all rather different from her brief time as a working royal, he writes – a time when the stars would line up to meet her, not the other way round.

‘Has there been any week in which it was demonstrated more vividly what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex threw away when they quit royal duties in 2020 to “find freedom” and find a fortune?’

[From The Daily Mail]

Eden is just loud and wrong, but one quick fact-check – while Little Red Flashing Hood was making a horse’s ass out of herself in a cartoonish red cape, Meghan and Harry were actually in Canada, checking in the upcoming Invictus Games, watching a hockey game and visiting local charities. Meghan did the Variety event on November 16th, well before Kate flashed the visiting Korean delegation.

As for the rest of it… the Windsors are so utterly desperate to BE celebrities and to have what Meghan already had before she even met Harry – a name, a career, celebrity friends, legitimacy and purpose. King Charles and Camilla literally did a stupid appearance on American Idol during coronation weekend. The Windsors were desperately trying to attach themselves to Meghan when she went to Beyonce’s birthday concert. They’re terrified of the fact that Harry and Meghan are already global celebrities on their own, and that they’re tight with famous and powerful people like Oprah, Tyler Perry, etc.

The part which offended me the most was “Meghan, who would have joined Catherine at the opulent state banquet at Buckingham Palace…” The Windsors were so racist and so scared of Meghan, they didn’t invite her to any state dinners, and at the few state functions she was invited to, they almost always shoved her in the back. In Eden’s delulu vision of “how things would have been if the Sussexes would have stayed,” I can guarantee that Charles, Camilla, William and Kate would have all thrown huge, public tantrums about the very idea of Meghan attending a state dinner. It’s also funny because Kate was far from the star of the Korean tour – after making an ass out of herself during the day, she was pushed off behind a gaudy candelabra at the state dinner. Meghan could have had all of this…

But but but… I thought the royals were royals and NOT celebrities… yet here they are saying she could have been a real celebrity? They can’t follow their own arguments, frankly.

I hope all the Americans on here had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday.

    • Harla A Brazen Hussy says:

I was coming to say the same thing, great minds think alike!😃. All we ever hear is that the royals Are Not celebrities, don’t call them celebrities! They are above all of that, they breathe the rarified air of Divine Right, not the “common” air of the peasants!

    • Elon's Sink says:

The mental gymnastics these people use to make money off of an amazing, confident, intelligent, charismatic black woman must be causing a drastic reduction in their brain cells. Duchess Meghan isn’t a “real celebrity” because she left the colonizers yet she lives in a 53-bedroom mansion while upstaging the same colonizers when she breathes and dozens of articles are written about her every week. Sure, Richard “Jan” Eden.

    • Megan says:

      Meghan broke Richard Eden’s brain.

      • TheFarmer'sWife says:

Well, Meghan does live in all their heads rent-free! I’m almost embarrassed for Khate at this point. The “flash my legs” bit was one thing; she has great legs! But, the over-the-top cape, the weird QEII dinner dress cosplay (and stupid white gloves…did she leave them on while pretending to eat?), even after all of that, Khate can’t have an article written about just her! The comparisons to Meghan always make Khate look silly and inadequate, left behind, pushed aside, and lacking in knowledge and substance. Meghan makes everything look easy, which is a sign of just how much prep work she puts into whatever it is she does. Khate needs a tutor/ life coach, not a CEO or secretary.

    • Agreatreckoning says:

Right! The Windsors are supposed to be royal not celebrities.lol The Windsors/BRF are the original reality show. H&M opted out of that bs. Just like other people (Adele) opted out of the coronation invites. Didn’t Shrek Tindall participate in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Outta here (sP?). Meghan was already a celebrity before the BRF and she and her prince got the hell out. Maureen Eden is “forgetting” that W&K were big fans of Suits.

Pretty sure Meghan is still sleeping peacefully underneath a tree not having to deal with the Windsor viper nest. She’s not missing out on state dinners. (lol Kate’s dress looks like the candelabras shade) State dinners are missing out on the Sussexes charisma.

fyi Maureen Eden. Meghan chose to speak to Variety magazines reporter. Guess what? The royal rota were not invited to H&M’s wedding. Variety is very much a step above all their bs.

    • jane says:

very simple, kate embarrassed the uk flashing her granny thighs someone has to take the blame who else meghan?????????????????????

      • BothSidesNow says:

@ jane, she not only embarrassed the UK, she embarrassed the entire BaRF! Keen isn’t wearing any stockings either!!! Eeeh-Gadds!!! PoWanker, pay some attention to your pathetic wife before she starts flashing at ALL of the State Dinners!!!

And yet Keen “never puts a foot wrong” is still the strategy right???

        How pathetic you are Eden………

    • Campbell says:

They hate that Meghan and Harry don’t say a single word to the BM or the BRF. I think the silence makes them crazy. They’re getting more vicious in an attempt to get a reaction and Meghan and Harry still don’t respond. As for Chuck, Bill, Kathy and Ann – they are exactly what I thought they were and it’s not pretty.

  2. Anna says:

    The very definition of delulu.

Eden doesn’t know shit about how Hollywood operates, and he’s just salty that Meghan refuses to pay any of them dust.

Also, let’s not pretend Kate looked anywhere in the same zipcode as regal if we’re comparing appearances because Meghan WILL eat, and that’s that on that.

    • ML says:

This IS absolutely delusional, Anna! I wonder who forced Eden to write this in the first place.

We’ve had the explanations that royals aren’t celebs, that H&M get more attention and sell more papers than the rest, and any time H&M do anything from Invictus to going out to eat, they still garner more attention than the royals.

Conclusion: this article is the result of PW’s or KC’s hissy fit and meant to be placating (if not entirely factually wrong) to one or both of them. No one else could believe this.

      • Christine says:

Seriously, Meghan made headlines in England on the weekend of the coronation for taking a hike! A HIKE!

        *massive eye roll*

She’s clearly irrelevant to all of you.

    • Agreatreckoning says:

Madame Duchess looked and spoke fabulously with the Variety reporter. She didn’t need to do a flashing to garner attention. People were excited to see her at the Power of Women event that happened the WEEK before the state dinner. HMMMMM…why is Dick ‘Maureen’ Eden not writing about how Harry is missing out on these state dinner events? Harry’s not missing them, nor is his beautiful wife.

      Bob, Dick, Richard, Maureen.

  3. Krista says:

OMG the bitterness is just spewing forth. What self-respecting paper would publish this crap – a column written obviously by a teenager throwing a tantrum? It’s even more astounding that there are people who believe this drivel.

    • Libra says:

There are a lot of people who believe this drivel!! Even in my own family and extended family I have people who question why I am defending this trailer park trash gold digger. Seriously. Those words.

      • Amy Bee says:

If Meghan was a gold digger she would have stayed in the Royal Family.

      • Libra says:

Agree. No one recalls that she had a large net worth of her own before marriage.

      • swaz says:

If my family described someone in those terms I would take this to my grave 🙄🙄 I mean who is describing who 🙄🙄

      • B says:

She had enough net worth to cover the couch….

      • EasternViolet says:

The RF is pissed that she didn’t bring ALL of her net worth into the Royal Family. That’s how they acquire wealth isn’t it? Steal everyone else’s through colonialism and dowries?

      • Jenn says:

@Libra, “trailer trash”…! She grew up in one of the wealthiest areas in LA and went on to attend an expensive private university that favors “legacy” students.

I’m trying to choose my words carefully because I’m acutely aware she can’t “win,” but… she grew up with many more opportunities available to her than most of us would have, and the narrative that she’s “trashy” is just racist on its face. (Growing up in poverty is obviously not a moral failing, either, just as growing up in privilege does not preclude one from being “hardworking.”) :/

      • Agreat says:

Meghan did not grow up in one of the most wealthiest areas in LA. She grew up in a what is now considered an affluent neighborhood. If you went to Northwestern, you are misrepresenting the college. Northwestern is known to be a school for education, first and foremost. Their criteria for acceptance is greater than a lot. GPA’s, SAT’s, volunteering and other experiences matter. It’s not known as a ‘legacy’ institution. I know at least 5 people who’ve graduated from Northwestern. Hey, if people want to sell the idea that Meghan was accepted and graduated from Northwestern, because of anything other then her own intelligence. That’s on them. They also must be confusing St. Andrew’s with Northwestern.

    • WHAT says:

Harry was a royal and look where he had to shop before he stepped his game up. Especially if orprah and Meghan was shocked by the living conditions. Wasn’t it Harry that was picked up from Eaton with his items in a trash bag.

Isn’t it the royals who are driving around in vehicle and trucks that are now being sold at auctions

Look at how it’s well known all the royal Palace estate are in desperate need of repairs on the tax payer dime

So where is the money really going to if Charles has buried his bags of money scandal. People trying to be funny but they wouldn’t dare be in that situation

If someone wants to call Meghan trailer trash then the royals are up the street since they need other people money and ideas to make it in this modern society

Hopefully the Wales children can modernize the monarchy since no one yet has done so

      • WHAT says:

My last comment was what gold digger you know would be Willing 😉 to pay their own way in a house that has sixteen bathrooms and they own security and State taxes and federal taxes and clothes and hair and makeup and shoes and vehicle maintenance and food and higher learning schools for her family-

I’ll wait.. she knew how to make her own money before she got to the royals and you better be damn sure she’ll make sure she makes her own after she’s left the circus

None of the royals would make it out here in the modern world which is the reason why harry called all of them out for being trapped

      • Libra says:

Excellent point @ what. What media member is willing to ask each and every one in the RF if they could make it alone out there, minus any financial support or security and providing your own home. Takers?

      • roooth says:

That pic of Harry leaving Eton with his belongings in a trash bag broke my heart. Why was Harry leaving at term’s end with no one there for him except paparazzi? Most parents pick up their kids at the end of the school year, and help them with their things. Where was Harry’s father? Why didn’t Harry’s father pay enough attention to know Harry needed luggage? We know where Chuck was – he was with his mistress making sure HER children were protected and cared for.

Anyone want to bet whether Meghan and Harry will ever send their children away from them to boarding schools?

  4. seaflower says:

They are a dellusional bunch on Salt Island.

    • LRB says:

No please don’t taint us all with that brush. I work extremely hard for my money, employ lots of people, and see straight through the disgusting royals. It looks like Trump might be re-elected… that doesn’t make all Americans Trump supporters.

      • Christine says:

No, but a majority of Americans have to vote him into office.

You have no choice, in England.

      • Blithe says:

“It looks like Trump might be re-elected”. Really? A whole year from now? You’ve sorted through all of his court cases and the reports from biased polls to slip that into a conversation about Meghan’s “celebrity “? Why?

      • LRB says:

@Blythe… because that is what our news cycle is telling us apparently even if found guilty he can technically be President. I am not saying he will be you are missing my point. All Brits aren’t delusional because the Royals are a lazy, racist bunch. I find it really offensive when all Brits are written off as bad people just because our Royals are…

  5. SarahCS says:

Because she had so much control over her life while she was in the UK? Didn’t they take her passport and driving licence away?

    Abusive gaslighters gonna gaslight.

    • Amy Bee says:

Yes, and they told her she couldn’t invite her niece to her wedding and that she couldn’t go out for coffee with her mother.

  6. Anonymous says:

In the spirit of yesterday’s thanksgiving, thank goodness Meghan is not still in the UK with that family and that press.

    • Well Wisher says:

      Agreed.
Celebrity is temporary, unlike a title….
It is unfortunate, that Eden seemed clueless to this factoid.
Meghan has moved on, she is living not trying to survive
      dysfunction.
There is no cache on this fact.

  7. KeKe Swan says:

Trying real hard … and I can’t think of anything more boring or less purposeful than being an ornamental wife at a state dinner.

    • Bettyrose says:

Being an actual global statesperson or diplomat at a table full of uneducated figureheads is probably even more dull. I keep thinking how Meghan has a degree in international relations and Harry has real world diplomacy experience. The foreign dignitaries probably long for people like H & M to talk to at Britain state dinners.

      • windyriver says:

I watched the video of the South Korean president singing “American Pie” at the White House state dinner in April, that someone pointed out yesterday. He was really getting into it, lots of clapping among the crowd. He quoted an Irish poet in his toast to Biden, who laughed. So much more fun! Dr. Jill looked lovely, as usual, but First Lady Kim Keon-hee’s outfit was beautiful, a white suit with long skirt, and appropriate shoulder pads. WaPo refers to her as a “noted clotheshorse”; imagine what she must have thought – on several levels – seeing Kate’s bright red daytime get up.

Won’t bother commenting on Eden’s take here about Meghan; I’m sure he himself knows he’s written a bunch of BS.

      • Jais says:

How I would love to know what Kim Keon-hee must have thought when she saw Kate’s voluminous red cape. Did she first see her get out of the car??

      • Dara says:

I saw the b-roll video of everyone walking the red carpet into the state dinner, and all the royals were politely chatting with whichever Korean dignitary they were escorting, even Charles and William. Ann looked especially engaging. The only one not doing that was Kate, she stared straight ahead the entire time with a broad grin plastered onto her face. I feel sorry for whoever was seated next to her at dinner.

      • Bettyrose says:

@Dara – This is one of many seeming inconsistencies about Kate. I get that she’s dull and intellectually incurious, but part of being a society wife is developing a charming dinner party persona, however false. I bet Carole and Pippa are aces at maintaining innocuous, polite chatter. How did Kate fail so hard at this skill?

      • Becks1 says:

Being a society wife isn’t easy for that reason – you have to be able to play a certain role at these kinds of events and Kate just can’t.

Someone had a great post in Wednesday on all the ways that Kate’s leg flashing was bad for the foreign office, not just the royals. And I think this branches from that same mistake she made with that flashing – she just doesn’t get the assignment. She thinks she is at these events to be eye candy and for the photo ops. She is not. She is at this events to support the official hosts (Charles and Camilla) and to represent the UK and its government. It’s not the Kate show. She doesn’t engage with the person next to her because her job is done – she showed up in a new dress and a new to her tiara and smiled for the cameras.

That’s her job in her eyes. Either no one ever explained to her that there was more to it or she just doesn’t care. I’m inclined to think the latter.

Meghan could never have attended a state dinner bc it would have just highlighted Kate’s narcissism and ineptitude.

      • Deering24 says:

Bettyrose–Kate is too self-centered to even develop a dinner party persona. You have to be interested in other people to at least carry on a conversation with them. But for Kate, if everything is not about her, she ain’t interested. She still thinks just showing up in designer clothes and jewels is all the job requires. Which is the delusion her mom most likely raised her on.

  8. Amy Bee says:

I saw that headline and said to myself “and so what?” And as Kaiser said Meghan would not have been allowed to attend State Dinners because of the jealousy of the Windsors. Furthermore, weren’t the British press saying that Royals were not celebrities, now they are celebrities? Richard Eden is deluded.

  9. Eurydice says:

Sure she would have been a real celebrity – a real dead celebrity. And then they would have used her memory to mourn “what might have been.” Hypocrites.

    • Rapunzel says:

The Windsors ought to be praising God every day that Meg didn’t die while in England, especially by suicide. It might have benefited the Rota, but the BRF would never have recovered.

  10. aquarius64 says:

KP, aka Kate, is mad Kate is seen as a joke during the South Korean state visit. The online and social media comments have been brutal: the look at me red outfit, the Marilyn moment coming out of the car, her place of honor behind a candelabra at the state banquet. Meghan was well received at the Variety red carpet and the Canuks hockey game; and she got good press for her visit to Justice for Girls. If Kate were really an asset she would have been asked by the Foreign Office to go on overseas trips on behalf of the government. Eden just confirmed the future queen consort is jealous of the wife of the fifth in line to the throne…and she’ll always will be.

    • Nic919 says:

It was odd to see that Sophie was confirmed for an overseas trip to Colombia but nothing for Kate. But then they know that Kate is a deeply unserious person and lazy to boot.

      • Athena says:

The argument would be that Sophie’s children are away at school but the Handmaid has to make the school run.

Also, they gave her a chance at a solo overseas trip to Denmark and she blew it and kept the Danish Queen waiting.

        Maureen is delusional

      • Nic919 says:

Sophie was doing trips and hundreds of engagements while the kids were younger though. During the “school run” years.

Edward was often the second or third highest in numbers after Anne or Charles, especially when Philip retired.

It’s just the heir and spouse who are so bad at doing anything significant.

    • Brassy Rebel says:

@ Aquarius64: “the Marilyn moment coming out of the car”. 🫣😆🤣

    • Tina says:

I agree it backfired on her. Other than her diehard stans even pro-monarchy people or people who don’t really care but just follow for gossip/fashion etc on the few sites I follow thought that the red dress was ugly, looked wrong compared to the SK First Lady and Camilla and the leg flashing was inappropriate. The white dress that she wore at the state dinner also got a lot of flak because it was another new dress that looked just like last years. Her stans will always support her but I was surprised about the amount of less than enthusiastic comments.

      • Jazz Hands says:

I was very disappointed to read Lainey Gossip’s positive adoration of both Kate’s red outfit and her exit from the car. Ugh.

      • Nic919 says:

To be fair Lainey views them as celebrities and not anything more serious than that. She doesn’t pretend they are more important or politicians with worth. So for an attention grabbing move similar to what Kardashians do, Lainey was correct that the red outfit overshadowing the others and almost cooch flashing did what it was supposed to do.

  11. Elizabeth says:

Eden is forgetting that Prince Harry rarely attended state dinners before he married Meghan.

  12. OriginalMich says:

Am I remembering things wrong? Wasn’t her celebrity appeal part of the reason they (the palaces and people like Eden) castigated her to the point that she started experiencing suicidal ideation?

    • paintybox says:

@OriginalMich – You are remembering things as they actually happened, thank you! The gaslighting is nonstop on Salt Island, they just keep trying.

  13. Jais says:

While it may be interesting for viewers at home to see the dresses and jewels, those royal state dinners mostly just look tedious and boring. And probably drafty and cold. But maybe the food is good.

    • sparrow says:

Exactly. But can you imagine anyone really tucking in? I can’t see Kate devouring a plate of lovely food.

    • Harper says:

If Maureen Eden actually looked at the overall coverage of the event, he would see that Kate was bored out of her mind most of the day, so the idea that Kate won something over Meghan by attending this event is laughable. She looked morose in the car with her cellmate William, and at the state dinner she looked as if she were falling asleep hidden behind her candelabra.

There is also another clip floating around Twitter of her standing next to William and Sophie who are yukking it up together during the daytime reception. No one is paying attention to Kate and her face is completely downcast. At the end of the clip it looks like she makes a move to elbow William. Conclusion: This is not a happy royal lady having the time of her life. She is miserable.

  14. Nic919 says:

Eden is competing with Tominey for most bitter rota bitch when it comes to Meghan. Trying to pretend that Kate and her low class antics almost flashing her cooch at a state event was anything other than vulgar is just pathetic.

Meghan attending the variety event and later the hockey game with Harry got attention from outlets that don’t normally cover royals. In North America no one got news about the state visit unless you were actively looking for the information. The hockey game in particular made it to multiple Canadian news agencies.

Eden and the rota are so pathetically parochial and still believe that the UK is the empire it has not been since the end of WWII. The only royals who get global coverage consistently are Harry and Meghan and it kills them that the ones still there can’t get the same attention.

    • Tina says:

This is what kills them. Even with tiaras and gold carriages it gets almost no global coverage. I saw it on some royal fashion pages I follow and sites like People but that’s it. The hockey pictures were everywhere. Same as the Variety event, same as Invictus, same as Beyoncé. Rinse and repeat.

    • Gabby says:

I think Eden wins this little prize simply because he has deluded himself more than Tominey has. You can plainly see the panic in her eyes when discussing Sussex success. She knows.

  15. Talie says:

To understand Mehgan, they would have to understand the American psyche, which they don’t. The titles and ascent in British society mean nothing to her because she wasn’t brought up with it, unlike Kate and Sophie. In America, success, a comfortable home, and a healthy bank account are more the thing – the American Dream, so to speak. Meghan has that, plus the freedom to do as she pleases. It’s not hard to see why wearing a tiara means so much to royal reporters who also inhabit the much-derided middle class in England.

  16. sparrow says:

I saw this and nearly gagged. I thought royal life was absolutely not about being a celebrity! I thought it was about duty, endurance and public service, and that Kate knew this but Meghan didn’t. So now Kate’s a celebrity, which would make sense, what with her Kardashian like behaviour. (If Saucy&Sassy is reading, I did actually change my mind on the dress hitched up scenario. I wasn’t prepared to believe she’d got out of the car like that on purpose but, having seen the video, I changed my mind quite radically.) There’s a photo in the Eden article that shows Red Kate, droopy faced and looking downwards as she walks up the steps. What struck me is that her neck is pure white and her face tan, as if they couldn’t bother blending in. It is a shocker. Surely her MUA can’t be that bad. Or were they trying to match her neck to her legs not her face.

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

sparrow, I wonder if H&M would have been at a state dinner, and if they were I would take bets that Meghan would NOT have been given a tiara to wear or any other jewelry for the occasion. The bm are really furious that they get everything second hand when it comes to the Sussexes. They have to belittle them because they don’t have anything else to write about. They can’t say anything positive because of the Feckless Foursome.

(sparrow, it’s hard to wrap your head around the fact that someone in Cant’s position would do what she did. All she had to do was put her right foot on the floor next to her left food before attempting to get out of the car. That she didn’t?)

      • sparrow says:

Hi Saucy&Sassy. I just couldn’t believe someone her age would do what she did. I hadn’t watched the video or read the details on how she got her legs out onto the ground. The context is of course rumours about her marriage; the remembrance day photos where she looked her awful self; and the recent glorious photos of Meghan and Harry. I could see why someone like Kate would do it (because she is jealous to the core and wants the attention, and can’t get it by other means) but I still wouldn’t let myself believe someone in her position would stoop so low and not be totally embarrassed. I gave her too much benefit of the doubt. I am so glad Meghan is out of this stuff and away from someone like Kate, actually, who seems just plain weird.

  17. Meg was already a celebrity. She didn’t need the cult to be famous. They are truly jealous that the lost Megs and Harry’s star power. It’s their combined charisma that they miss. They are stuck with stale leftover duds who like to flash.

    • Anna says:

Some could even argue that Meghan had the best kind of fame: the healthy bank account and name recognition in the spaces she cared about, without the magnifying glass public scrutiny of her more well-known counterparts. She was a celebrity yes, but a celebrity that didn’t have to (and didn’t do things to) stay relevant, and that’s something these ashy ass people don’t understand.

    • Lady D says:

I wonder if the palace insects will try to nudge William towards marrying a celeb for the royals exposure? Having seen what good publicity looks like, they now want some of their own? Of course that means Willie will have to do something about his jealousy and he doesn’t seem inclined to change anything about himself.

  18. Robert Phillips says:

And yet here is another article about. Meghan. One of what twenty or so that will come out today about her. Yet she isn’t a celebrity. I thought if you weren’t a celebrity they didn’t write about you.

  19. LeahTheFrench says:

I guess everyone has different views on what constitutes agency… I think I would feel completely ornamental at a State dinner, but never mind. What I continue to find infuriating is that choice of color – I actually like red on Kate, but it’s wrong on every level for this occasion. There was a recent article (in People I think) where some sources waxed lyrical about how that was a personal choice of Kate’s to be “bold” and be “the center of attention” with this monstrosity. As in, she actually made a conscious decision to wear something that would ensure all eyes would be on her. This is NOT how State visits work. State visits are very ostensibly about THE GUEST, not THE HOST – and about the bilateral relationship more broadly, which you’re typically trying to deepen if you’re going to the trouble of organizing a State dinner. It is customary to seek advise from your embassy (so UK Embassy to SK in this instance) on what to wear to honor the guest. I strongly doubt the advise that came back was “something as loud as possible”, which seems to have been the guiding thought here. A TRUE Head of State would have understood that.

    • jemmy says:

@LeahTheFrench – someone in the earlier thread on this subject mentioned that they think Cam’s camp gave Kate the wrong brief regarding the choice of colour – they said something to the effect that may be the agreement was that Kate would wear red in the morning and Cam would do do in the evening.
The issue is not really being over dressed – anyone human can do that & I’m sure the issue would be overruled . It really is the vulgar way she exposed her self on a state occasion that was seriously formal and for which a lot of livelihoods would be positively or negatively impacted -all because she trying to settle some petty score with Meghan who is living her life . For crying out loud the UK is in the middle of a cost of living crisis . We need as many trade partners and allies fighting our corner & all she could think of was how she could ” do a number on Meghan

The ONLY co-op out I can say in her defence is that perhaps Wilnot has been so emotionally abusive towards her coupled with the possible general disinterest & indifference from the wider family that she is on the verge of losing her mind and is acting out. In all the years of her being on the scene, she has never been this reckless so it might be that indeed she needs some serious medical intervention.

Her mother should try and do everything possible to help her and not sit on the side lines

      • Lady D says:

I wonder if this stunt was cooked up between Kate and Carole? I would not be surprised. They probably don’t have a problem with the fallout either.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

jemmy, the problem with Cant is that she (like Wont) doesn’t read any briefing. Could this be the issue here? Possibly. I’m not going to rule out the possibility that she and Ma Mids thought this was the perfect way to showcase the fq. What I will never understand is Cant flashing on this occasion.

Class as defined in the UK isn’t something I know about or think about. I do know that children are taught manners and courtesy. I was, and I can guarantee that I would NEVER have exited a car like that, nor would I have worn something to take the spotlight off of honored guests.

I agree with Leah The French, a state dinner does not sound like anything I would want to be part of.

      • Lady Digby says:

@Jemmy I concur that KM acts out in response to her husband lack of acknowledgement. She flashes everybody in bright red outfit reminding me of the Oscar Wilde quote that too few clothes are a sign of desperation in a woman. Look at me, I am sexy, hot and exciting even if my balding coot of a husband doesn’t appreciate me! It is both desperate and sad display and Will will be cross at her lack of class either, so no change there!

      • windyriver says:

I think you’re all reading way too much into this clothing choice; did Kate get briefed, did she read her brief, is she in red because of something to do with Korea, etc., etc. This is what Kate does all.the.time. She dresses to stand out and pull attention from wherever the focus should be. Some of many examples: wearing green at trooping with all other senior royals in red; fake tiara at the coronation; ostentatious brooch at TQ’s funeral; bow, overdone jewelry, and fashion shoot at Philip’s funeral. Throw in too wearing as close to white as doesn’t matter at a wedding, a fuchsia dress at TQ’s last Jubbly balcony appearance, and always, always, knowing where to look for the cameras – except of course, when stepping out of a car and pretending she doesn’t notice her skirt is hiked all the way up.

Then there’s her oft-cited previous over exposure from skirts flying up, and frequent Meghan/Diana copy keening. Too many examples over the years and it’s gone on too long for me to buy she’s only acting out in response to Will’s lack of acknowledgement, and not convinced she’s acting out of desperation either. Though both things may be at least partly true at this point, what’s also true is the propriety of how she should appear with respect to any event has always taken a back seat to whatever drives the need to be the center of attention that’s clearly a core part of who she is.

      • Blithe says:

I think her mother might have tried to help. Unfortunately, you can only teach what you know.
Google images of Carole getting out of cars — when it seems clear that cameras are at the ready. There’s a fair amount of flashy flashing that looks deliberate.

  20. Pumpkin says:

Really don’t miss Eden’s columns at all these days. And is it me or do they get more deranged as time goes on!

And she wore a tiara once and still didn’t stay. That’s all.

    • kelleybelle says:

No, it’s not just you at all. The man is batshit crazy and knows he can’t get clicks by writing about the other unsightly idiots in that family. And I mean idiots.

    • Lady D says:

They are all becoming deranged and I love it for them. The more unhinged their column, the better the laugh.

    • MsIam says:

Maureen is clearly trying to take Dan Wootton’s place as the top batshit crazy Rota sycophant.

  21. Lilpeppa40 says:

Aren’t they tired ? Aren’t they bored? It boggles my mind. It’s been nearly four years of this crap about what she’s giving up. I’m really not sure why they think they know better than someone who actually looked behind the curtain and saw how the sausage got made (to mix metaphors). Do these articles really still make money for these people? It’s just rinse, repeat ad nauseam. Most of the world have moved on. H&M certainly have.

    • one of the marys says:

I completely agree. Yes I read celebitchy, it’s the only gossip I read, and I will read all the RF and M&H articles. But come on! It’s been years!!

  22. Maxine Branch says:

Eden is a bitter man. As mentioned he longs for the old Empire days that are gone and will never be again. The respect #ThatFamily enjoyed during the Diana era is long gone. What he has left to support are two geriatrics and two boring folks with zero charisma, authenticity and work ethic. He had to sooth himself while writing this piece because even he knows what he wrote is absolute nonsense. Meghan had a beautiful well traveled life full with interactions between diplomats, Presidents and tons of friends. She gave her previous life up to marry the love of her life, now she is resuming her purpose driven life older and wiser while being mindful of each step in her new journey. The best is yet to come from this amazing duo. I am eagerly watching and enjoying each step they take.

  23. Scooby Gang says:

I laughed so hard yesterday seeing Kate behind that candelabra! After Candle-Gate and Feather-Gate… the karma was pure perfection.

    • sparrow says:

I’ve just seen the picture of her blocked by the candelabra! It’s brilliant.

      • Teagirl says:

@sparrow, do you have a link please? I’ve tried googling but I can’t find it and I really don’t want to go to the Fail unless I really have to.

      • Teagirl says:

I just found a picture on Xtwitter. Wow, she is really blocked by the candelabra and I love it for her.

  24. Rapunzel says:

They wish Meg was attending state banquets so she could be denied a tiara or something as “punishment”… and then they could write about it.

    • Deering24 says:

Agreed. Once again, the spite and hatred is so thick here one could skate on it. They are furious they can’t torture Meghan any more.

    • sunny says:

This is absolutely the correct take. They are so mad because they have no drama to drum up and they have yet to write about the real dramas in the family.

  25. Chrissie says:

Not even Eden believes this sh*t and he wrote it. Harry left to protect his wife and children from scum like him. And these State Dinners are dreary affairs. All the royal women have to wear white dresses apart from the Consort which is why they are dressed the same colour and looked so awful. Meghan would be put out of sight at the back of the room and she would have still wiped the floor with Kate which would have resulted a load of smear stories written by Eden and the rest of the rats.

    • slickone says:

Methinks Eden is seeking to remain in the good books of the RF possibly leading to an OBE plus he has to earn his keep. The more vicious the articles , the more the click baits which translates into income- what a way to live. I wonder how they are able to have a clear conscious with all the lies they peddle with the aim to destroy and be able to sleep peacefully at night.

      • MsIam says:

I’m convinced these Rota rats are just terrible people without consciences so writing this crap doesn’t cause them to bat an eye. Look at the things a lot of them have been accused of doing apart from their “reporting”.

  26. Brassy Rebel says:

Had Meghan remained in the UK to be used and abused by the rubbish pile which is the family she married into, she would quite simply be dead by now. She has told us as much herself. These tabloid rats will never cease to be delusional.

  27. Libra says:

Went back to look at today’s photos. The pic of them in the car shouts “well you did it again, you made fool of yourself and embarrassed me”

    • Jaded says:

That photo is almost identical to the photo of Charles and Diana taken, ironically, during a royal visit to South Korea, only the roles are reversed. Diana looks utterly over it, a look of disdain and disgust on her face as she avoids looking at Charles while he’s just gazing absently off into space. Their separation was announced shortly after. Boy what goes around comes around doesn’t it.

  28. Kingston says:

    LMAO
My god! The stories people tell themselves just to be able to cope with their day-to-day. Its a thing, folks. Its a real thing! OMFG!

  29. Cathy says:

I suspect Richard Eden (Maureen) considers himself an expert on the royals, so much so that he expects the royals to be running to him asking him what they (the royal) should be thinking? He needs to go join his pal Danny boy in exile… but hopefully not in New Zealand.

I’ve seen Meghan twice on tour and even though she’s tiny all eyes are on her as she carries an aura with her, just like Diana. The English missed out big time here BIG!

  30. Eliora says:

This is hilarious. If Meghan was any more famous, she would be a literal goddess. Eden and the rest are so desperate for Meghan’s attention it’s beyond pathetic. Their so-called princess of perfection (Kate M) is an afterthought for most of these press parasites. Kate is just the stick they use to beat Meghan with. Nobody wants to be Kate, not even Kate.

Live well darling Meghan. You will always be famous thanks to the British press weirdos and their unrelenting obsession with you. Four years later and they are still crying buckets of tears because you were the golden ticket that they ripped up in a fit of rage. Now they want to pretend their cruel gilted cage is somehow aspirational. No, thank you. Next!

  31. bubblegum dreams says:

BAWHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Make them stop. I am going to p..ss my pants laughing at these people.
They need to stop with the desperation to have her back. Meghan don’t need them but they sure need her.
Their own actors leave their island to find fame and fortune in the US. How is their market going to make a Meghan a bigger star than she is in the US and the world.
Their population is 60m, the US has 360m, there are 8billion in the world. Please make it make sense.

  32. Snuffles says:

Woooh LORDT! These people’s egos are HURTIN’!

PS. The stars of that state dinner were KPop sensations, BlackPink.

    🎶BlackPink in your area!🎶

    • MonicaQ says:

Damn right they were. Lisa looked amazing and I loved Rose’s outfit. Scratch that–THEY ALL LOOKED AMAZING!

  33. Mary Pester says:

    What Megan gave up?? WTAF?
What she gave up was a father in law who had three aims in life, to be king, to be a tampax and to marry the woman who wore it. A step mother in law, who schemes and plots with her friendly paps, spends most of her time pssd and the rest of it making other people’s (Megan and Harry’s) life hell
A brother in law who, with his anger and mental health issues should spend time in an asylum and a sister in law who leaves a large snail trail of venom and jealousy everywhere she goes, and thought her “Sharon Stone moment was going to impress people. If Eden thinks Megan regrets for one minute leaving this toxic island he’s more deluded than we though. The left behind Royals are nothing more than scandals wrapped up in a title, and NOW we have another one with Andrew, fergie and MONEY. And can he also explain why the king, without any of the usual “going through channels”, made the girl group honorary M. B. E’s

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

Mary Pester, I was surprised when I saw that they got MBEs, and immediately thought KFC did this to raise the attention to the brf and state dinner.

No, girl, you got some gossip about Pedrew, Fergie and Money? SPILL!

      • Mary Pester says:

No Saucy&sassy, I will wait till tomorrow as I don’t want to thread jack as @Kaiser might have the gos, but it’s good, I know I’m a Brit, but a happy belated thanksgiving to All my American friends x

    • windyriver says:

Well, supposedly they were honored for their support of climate change campaigns. But somehow I wonder if Biden giving the South Korean president a guitar signed by Don McLean after he did his rendition of American Pie at the state dinner in April isn’t a factor here.

  34. Over it says:

Does Richard Eden really wants to be the one to remind the world that Kate , who is supposed to be representing her country at state affairs showed up in her devil tried to steal the show by flashing Every one and wearing bright red while doing it . Should Kate not be matured enough to know that this ridiculous bright red get up was unfit for this occupation? Jesus, these royal reporters would eat shit and not care that it’s shit as long as the palace tells them to keep eating it to keep getting access.

  35. Mel says:

If Kate was such a great success, why are you talking about Meghan, who moved away four years ago, AGAIN.

  36. Tessa says:

I thought it was bad to steal the show from senior royal family . Kate was down right embarrassing in that re d get up in the exit from the limo.

  37. Beverley says:

Oh Meghan, why won’t you come back to Salty Isle? We hate you, we love you. How could our House N-word , our escaped slave Princess Henry get away, taking our Darling Boy, our beloved ginger prince with you? Come home at once, so we can flog you, demean you, destroy your children, and show the world how we’ve put you back in your rightful place. Will and Kate need a whipping post and it’s you they want to obliterate. And KC3 would love to see you “Diana’d”. So be a good peasant and convince wayward Harry to bring all of you back so that the real sport can commence.
    – signed, A very Much Not Racist Family, your InLaws

  38. kelleybelle says:

It’s official, the man has lost his mind. What a laughing-stock goof. Honestly.

  39. Tessa says:

Why would Meghan want to sit near her spiteful sister in law who was actually shown taking confrontational steps to meghan.harry avoided talking to kate on his last few trips to the uk

  40. Lulu says:

One princess was elegant and understated while posing for photographers while the other princess made a vulgar display of flashing her upper thighs and I’m convinced her hoohaa to waiting photographer. We all know exactly which princess looked royal and which was a disgrace to her entire country. Meghan was born a class act, Kate has been an exhibitionist since school days.

    • Lizzie Bennett says:

Why are we calling Richard Eden Maureen?

    • roooth says:

They tried to tear Harry down by not allowing him to wear his uniform and surrounding him with everyone else in their fancy dress uniforms and chocolate medals, and they ended up making Harry look like the only real royal.
They try to insult Meghan saying she craves tiaras, and their “royals” end up looking ridiculous in their fancy costumes and flashy stolen jewels, while Meghan looks like a Queen; dressed simply and elegantly, without any gaudy jewels.

  41. tamsin says:

I don’t know why they have to have tall chandeliers or flower arrangements at the head table. Both Kate and the first lady of Korea were behind a tall chandelier. If I remember correctly, Kate was behind a tall flower arrangement at another state dinner, and for sure someone else on the other side would be behind a matching one. I believe Harry has only ever attended one state banquet and I think it was the Spain one. Meghan was still on maternity leave I believe.

  42. MsIam says:

If Meghan could have been a “real celebrity” if she stayed in the UK then why isn’t Sophie one? Really you can say the same about the rest of the family. Virtually all the articles written about them have to include some reference to Meghan and/or Harry, otherwise its *crickets*. So who needs who?

  43. Jaded says:

I’d like to see the photos of Kate exiting the limo that couldn’t be published, I’m sure there are some doozies that show a lot more than thigh. Those photogs position themselves deliberately to get upskirt shots. I remember an instance where one got too close to Diana when she was on stage speaking at some charity event and she yelled at him and said if he got any closer she’d kick his camera away. Then there’s Kate who apparently enjoys it….SMH.

  44. Gabby says:

I almost hurt myself laughing at Little Red Flashing Hood.

  45. Proud Mary says:

Given that, after such an important event, Eden devotes time and space to talking about Meghan, and not to talking about Kate, is evidence that the state visit was a giant flop for the entire royal family. But Kaiser said the one thing I have been hoping someone would say in response to these delusional lies: were she still a working royal, not only would the media abusive onslaught continued, but as part of that, Meghan (and Harry) would have been excluded from all state dinners out of fears of overshadowing William, Charles and their drab wives. Moreover, Richard Maureen Eden would have been ordered by BP/KP to write about it and blame the Sussexes for the exclusion.

  46. Mary Pester says:

The incandescent one and nonaction barbie are on manoeuvres! We all remember how nonaction barbie visited her regiment (🤣🤣🤣 yeah right HER regiment), and bully has just visited his! Well I’m reliably informed that the pratt is letting it be known to the mod and the officers in his regiment that he and his flasher wife, are ready and willing to take over invictus AND are willing to donate funds!! WTAF, the officers of every regiment AND the mod, need to tell him to Foxtrot Oscar, the troops will NOT sit still for that . It’s FA to do with the Royal failures

    • Jais says:

Say what? How could William even take over IG at this point? Sounds like a case of wishful thinking. The delusion is strong in that one.

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

Mary Pester, is the pratt delusional? The Invictus Foundation isn’t something he can ‘take over’. It’s not part of the brf in any sense, it’s an independent entity. I know that the UK participants were moved from a charity to (I think) the Royal British Legion, but WHAT? Truly amazing since they couldn’t even be bothered to wish them success in their endeavors during the last two IG.

      • Mary Pester says:

I so hope your right @saucy&sassy, I just don’t trust any of the fkrs, and just look where Sophie was this last couple of weeks, and WHERE is invictus being held??? Back door manoeuvres are a known trait in the Royal dogsht family

    • bubblegum dreams says:

Please explain how exactly this is going to happen because Invictus is an international event. They expect their regiment to tell every other country that PWT and his Barbie are going to take over Invictus and everyone is just going to fall in line with that?

      • Mary Pester says:

I know IG is supposed to be independent, but your forgetting us British veterans that take part, and the funding needed for that. I. E physio, medics travel insurances, accommodation, travelling medics, to name just some of the moving parts, now it started last year or could be late the year before, they changed who supported invictus with all that and the sponsorship was given to the Royal British Legion, and guess who is patron of the British Legion, THE KING, that’s who. Now he didn’t send a message of support to the games, but then they were mentioned at the service of remembrance??? The head of the Royal British Legion is being made a SIR and knowing Harry and the love he has for the games and the veterans, if they threaten to fully withdraw support from our veterans unless it’s given to dickhead, I think he might, but I’m hoping the rest of the veterans will tell Charlie and Billy to fk the hell of. I know the British ones will

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Mary Pester, they could withdraw funding, but that would look horrendously bad on the world stage. They could also try to get back with the previous charity, couldn’t they? They can’t dictate to other countries or to the Foundation, which has nothing to do with the brf.

I think this is just Wont hoping to get hold of IG in the UK–it would be the very most he could hope to get. I find it interesting that KFC isn’t the one trying to get it since HE is the patron. Somehow, I don’t think this will go anywhere.

      • windyriver says:

Small point of information – according to their website, TQ was patron of the RBL for her entire reign, but it looks like KC has NOT taken on that patronage. Anne is president of the Women’s Section, however.

        https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/about-us/governance

I noticed this in September; was curious and looked it up when no one from the RF wished the UK’s IG competitors good luck. I also assumed KC would have replaced TQ as patron. But apparently not, which is interesting..

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

windyriver, that is very interesting. I made the assumption that he would become the patron. Maybe what is happening is a trial balloon to see how well it’s received. Who knows, but I suspect he won’t be getting any encouragement.

    • BeanieBean says:

Ha! I just bet he’s salivating at the thought of taking IG from Harry! Too bad, loser! That’s Harry’s baby & he ain’t letting go!

    • Agreatreckoning says:

That rumor may be true. If so, it’s the end of the wonderful Invictus Games. If that’s William & Kate, the BRF want to be known for…the ending of the Invictus Games and everything it stands for… The Invictus Games are successful for Harry’s support as a veteran and genuine enthusiam towards the athletes. Meghan too. They are right there with the IG athletes.

Will couldn’t even make a trip to support the Lionesses? The IG’s must be hurting Will’s adolescent feelingsl Shame on him. This makes the FK look bad. See, in America, the Warrior Games, which was the source of Harry’s inspo, are still intact. I might be misremembering, but, PH was recently at a Warrior Games event.

  47. Lady Gurnavere says:

As long as I live, I will never get past Little Red Flashing Hood. But I stand by my theory that Meghan is done. We just aren’t going to see a lot of her anymore-Harry is going to be the front facing figurehead for Brand Sussex from now on.

I truly believe that the trauma Meghan sustained while living on Salt Island scarred her permanently and I think on some level, she is scared for her life. I don’t think we will ever see her back in the UK and I don’t think she will venture off to Europe, much either.

    The BRF robbed us, folks.

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

Lady Gurnavere, Meghan was in Europe for Invictus in The Netherlands and in Germany, so I doubt she’ll stay away. As far as the UK, I think she’ll be there when needed, and people won’t know until after the fact. H&M have gotten extremely good at moving around without anyone knowing about it.

I agree that I think the Meghan is done with the brf. I kind of think that Harry is, too, but time will tell.

      • Lady Gurnavere says:

Saucy&Sassy, all that Thanksgiving food got to my brain! Totally forgot about the Invictus Games a few months ago. You are so right! I do stand by the fact that she won’t go back to the UK for a very long time, if ever.

I do think Meghan will continue to go to Canada, though. I do think that Harry and Meghan should have an East Coast residence, though. That is where so much power and media are and government as well. It makes a lot of sense, but at the same time, Harry doesn’t strike me as an East Coast person. I think Meghan enjoys NYC more than he does.

      • Agreatreckoning says:

LOL @Lady Gurnavere! You are sending out a very mixed message out about being a “fan” of Meghan. If you are trying to say Madame Duchess is done with the BRF, I agree. If you are trying to say she’s “done” leading a life of work that involves a public life whilst having a private life. Disagree. Meghan is not afraid. She will do exactly what she chooses to do. Trying to wrap my head around a “fan” using Thanksgiving food as an excuse to forgetting about Meghan’s, very much well received, appearance at the IG’s. Fans don’t forget. Just ask any Swiftie or Beyhive member.

Meghan made the BRF more interesting in my American opinion. Didn’t know about the Tig. Remembered her from Suits. Michael K’s ‘Hot Harry on a horse’ and other things drew my attention to Harry. Michael K was not wrong.

Then, Harry started dating this beautiful biracial American. It wasn’t a princess fairy tale in my opinion. It was a love story. That’s it. The British Media/BRF choose to forget that Meghan had a huge following b4 the BRF (ya know, like yourself and the WanK’s).

Why on earth would any fan of Meghan’s want them to have an East Coast residence? Unless, it was a secluded area. That’s what most fans want for their beautiful family. California paparazzi laws are more strict than those in NYC/East Coast? (not sure of all East Coast areas).

Meghan is not ‘done’ with her life as she chooses to live it.

    • Beverley says:

Lady Gurnavere, I agree that Meghan has been scarred by the abuse piled on by the media and the Leftovers. She’s well aware that her royal in-laws would prefer to see her dead. Believe me, it’s quite a feeling to realize that people hate and resent you for your skin tone, but it must be terrifying to know that if they could, they’d kill you and your children too. She and her toddlers aren’t safe in the UK because the rampant racists are enraged about the line of succession. And from what went down in NYC, the Leftovers are determined to “Diana” her.

    • Proud Mary says:

Lady Gurnavere, I know what you are doing with this comment: it’s called concern trolling– pretending to be concerned for Meg’s sake, when what you’re doing is wish-casting, that is, hoping and praying that she’s, as you say, “done.” Meghan signed a deal with the number one talent agency in the US. She was a star at Invictus games, and recently did a red carpet to rave reviews. She was also amazing in Cananda with Harry. I think royalists like you need to just give it up. Meghan has won.

      • Lady Gurnavere says:

I am not concern trolling. I have been a fan of Meghan’s since The Tig. I always thought she was going to go places, but had no idea she was going to marry Harry!

I am just stating what I feel. And who can blame her if she stays far from the UK? I would as well. The hate for her there is insane. I have never seen anything like it in my life and don’t want to ever again.

I am so happy the BRF is going down in flames and want them to take the Fail with them.

      • Proud Mary says:

As part of her red-carpet interview at the Variety event, Meghan hinted at her and Harry’s future projects. That didn’t sound to me like someone who was done. True fans of hers are waiting with eager anticipation for these projects to be unveiled. We aren’t keyboard concerning about her being done. If you truly are a fan of Meghan’s I think it makes your comment that much worst. Considering the volume of trolling she continues to receive from haters, she doesn’t need “fans” adding to the negativity. Meghan did what she needed to, to combat the royal family’s abuse–she took her child and husband and left. I don’t find that to be the act of a woman who needs pity. What she needs, and deserves, is strong support from those of us who witnessed her abuse by the British press and the royal family.

    • Jan says:

Meghan had a layover at Heathrow Airport on her way to Germany.
Germany, The Netherlands and Portugal ??? are still part of Europe the last time I checked.

      • Anonymous says:

You know what sucks about this? It could all stop of Charles would be a legit father and do an interview and publicly decry all the nasty shit being said about his son and dil. Publicly say they are beloved members of their family and just cut out the nastiness. But no he’s a lil beyotch.

  48. L4Frimaire says:

Eden sounds really angry in this post. What is his problem? Guess he’s having a hard time processing their trip to Canada or Meghan appearing at an event and they have absolutely no clue. Of all the things he could have spoken of at the state dinner, he brings up Meghan once again. Maureen is mad.

    • Agreatreckoning says:

Richard ‘Maureen’ Eden always comes off b*tchy and deranged. His problem is that he is a royalist and he knows the BRF really don’t have anything to offer. Especially Kate. Richard/Maureen Eden knows that if Meghan was involved with this state dinner, Meghan would have learned to speak Korean successfully. Kate’s still working on mumble English. And, ya know , Welsh.lol Meghan&Harry would not have been highlighted at all. Their Oceanic tour…….

Meghan and Harry showing up anywhere overshadows the BRF, yet, ……………….lol..

  49. AC says:

Eden’s article is a Laugh out Loud. “While the princess of Wales stole the show”. K didn’t steal any show, They still can’t admit that many people were praising the First Lady of SK for her simplicity and class compared to exhibitionist Kate. And BlackPink were more popular than any of the BRF during the dinner gala. Maybe in the UK they were praising K but literally the rest of the World didn’t care about her.
Wherever M goes whether in Germany, Canada or anywhere here in the US real people are excited to see her and H- not to mention she breaks SM.
Face it , they desperately miss M as no one else in the BRF can have the
Star-power that M has. Just proves the point as they still keep talking about M lolZ… they cannot talk about K on her own without having to mention about M. No wonder why K is so insecure.

  50. Advisor2U says:

Tabloid gossiper Eden – better known as Maureen with his burner account, which he accidently revealed when he attacked a Squaddie, who was responded to one of the unhinched tweets he posts with his Eden account on X/Twitter- for the last 4 years, is obsessively hating on and bullying Meghan, by deliberately lying and twisting all facts about her an her life. In his hag pieces for the Fail, he creates the most unhinged fanfic about her. Week after week, he’s behaving more out of control. Same as Woonton did for the longest.

This hack gossiper, not only takes his obsessive hatred of Meghan to X/Twitter and tabloid stories, he frequently sits on royal podcasts as well, where he looks like a stupid, childish playground bully. The man is sick.

  51. Renae says:

I’m still trying to wrap my head around just how she got out of the car like that! You have to do it purposely AND be a contortionist.

    • Lily says:

When I saw Kate get out of the car, I thought, “Whoa! No. You are supposed to look elegant and refined. You are doing neither of those two things right now.” Then, my mind flashed to that year Angelina Jolie had all of the leg memes made of her at the Oscars.

  52. Beverley says:

Meghan has been a UN Women’s Advocate for Women’s Political Participation and Leadership since 2015. She appeared in a UN short movie showcasing women doing important work long before she met Harry. She was a self-made millionaire. She doesn’t need to depend on the First Family of Royal Bigots for anything, certainly not her celebrity. She’ll be be in the public view long after Pegs puts his Eyesore away.
Besides, since when do the Leftovers consider themselves celebrities?

  53. phlyfiremama says:

Does anybody want to tell them ?? That H&M are A-list at ANY event they have attended??

    • Christine says:

They know. Harry and Meghan were the headliners at Kevin Costner’s event, attended by Oprah, et. al. They know, and it’s killing them.

  54. Mrs.Krabapple says:

The royal family is made up of grifters who accept cash from the bin Laden family and Russian oligarchs; friends of child molesters; sex trafficker and rapist; bullies who verbally and physically abuse family members; adulterers; and God only knows what hasn’t come out yet. Why would anyone WANT to be a part of that family? So they can dress up in costume and wear unearned ribbons they gave themselves? Do they really think anyone is jealous of them? Lol.

    • Gabby says:

Funny you should mention “and God only knows what hasn’t come out yet” because apparently they are also making money off the estates of dead taxpayers.

      • Teagirl says:

Yes! I saw this too, that people who die intestate without relatives will have their estate taken over by the Duchy of Lancaster if that’s where they live, so the Crown gets the money. The article I read was saying that the monies were being used to improve other properties that the Crown owns and which may be sold at a profit. Sketchy.

  55. Deering24 says:

“The Windsors were so racist and so scared of Meghan, they didn’t invite her to any state dinners, and at the few state functions she was invited to, they almost always shoved her in the back.”

Wow. I did not know this. The RF gave Meghan so much other egregious grief that I must have missed it. Damn, these people suck. 🤮

    • Proud Mary says:

Yes, I remember her and Harry aways been shoved in the back, while Andrew, for example, was seated up front. The whole protocol nonsense was weaponized against Meghan. But protocol went out the window when seating someone of higher rank (Harry) behind those ranked lower than he–Andrew, Anne, Edward, etc. This is how they treated the most popular members of the family. But now that Harry and Meghan have rejected the abuse, have left, and are thriving, sad sack Maureen wants us to believe this family, of jealous mediocrities, was going to allow Harry and Meghan to play prominent roles.

  56. bisynaptic says:

    Maureen says what, now?

  57. Her again says:

Unpopular opinion- Meghan’s hair and makeup look in the top pic are some of my least favorite hair and makeup looks that I’ve seen her in. The hair is super severe, and I think her makeup could have stood to look a bit more THERE

    Her dress however is great

  58. Mesha Nova says:

It’s just so ghastly the way they continue to hound her. She’s all the way in the west coast of the US. Let it go for f’s sake. They look like mad stalkers. And the UK readers buying this bull, shame on you.

Little Red Flashing hood 🤣 Totally gonna use this one.

    1) If Meghan were in the royal family, she wouldn’t be allowed to attend any state dinners and very limited red carpet appearances. Kate would not tolerate Meghan attending mission impossible or bond premieres as she wants to hog the limelight and flirt with the male leads. Only the ones Kate seems too bored to attend can Meghan go.

    2) If she were allowed, sit at the back, bring your own fashion contacts and no tiaras or royal jewelry for you. This is so weird to me as Kate claimed she didn’t want Megan to steal her fashion contacts but she herself had no fashion contacts to begin with, all of them were given to her by the royal family from custom made gowns to whatever.

    3) And if my memory serves me correctly, Meghan was out of country and was denied wearing a tiara, but Kate wore one at home on the very same day.

And the sad thing this, they’d be able to pull all this bs off in the name of royal hierarchy and the media in their pockets.

  63. JaneS says:

That photo of Kate flashing her pale legs is So Trashy!
Can you imagine if Diana had done this while married to the future KoE?
    Bring back pantyhose, ffs.
Or keep Kate out of sight.

IMO, William is now the draw. Dull as he is, I do not think Kate is doing anything for the Team.

  64. Agreatreckoning says:

Meghan is sleeping peacefully underneath a tree whilst Kate is cosplaying a candelabra placed in front of her. Meghan is missing out on so much. /s

That state dinner is missing out on so much without H&M being there. Which, I’m quite happy about

  65. J.ferber says:

Every time I see that picture of Kate leaving the car with her dress all the way up. . . I am appalled. Did she think this stunt up all by herself or was Ma Middleton in on it? If she could be fired, she should be. And the one who hired her should be fired, too. Both have the worst judgment in the world. A travesty. Your future king and queen are abominable.

  66. J.ferber says:

The South Koreans would never mention the Kate catastrophe out loud, but oh, the whispers! She is a laughing stock the world over. And maybe it’s not just for attention, but for revenge that she is being drummed out of the Firm. Or worse, this was a last ditch effort for positive publicity to make her look like an asset (and not an ass). An abysmal, cringe worthy disaster all around.
