In her letters to Charles, Duchess Meghan ‘named’ two royal racists

Omid Scobie’s Endgame will be released tomorrow, but some outlets have gotten their hands on sanctioned excerpts or given special advanced access. I was lucky enough to read a copy over the holiday weekend, but I can’t use it as a source yet, which is why I’m going with reporting from other outlets. My “no spoiler” adherence to the NDA means that I’m going to try to give some context for this stuff, like the whole “Meghan named two racist individuals” story and “Meghan wants no part of the soap opera” story. Here are the secondary-source stories:

Meghan’s letters to Charles: Journalist Omid Scobie writes in “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival” that the Duchess of Sussex wrote private letters to King Charles III, in which she named the two people who took part in those “conversations,” per an advance copy obtained by Page Six.

Prince Harry knows he’s not getting an apology: Scobie quotes the Duke as saying: “I’m ready to forget. Get an apology or explanation? At this point, who cares, right?” But Scobie claims that conversely, the Duchess of Sussex had moved on and would not be extending such olive branches. Meghan, 42, “refuses ‘to dive back into the soap opera’,” he writes in extracts published in Paris Match magazine.

Prince William took down Prince Andrew: He says it was Prince William, 41, who orchestrated the downfall of his uncle, the Duke of York, at the height of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, and who was able to convince his grandmother, Elizabeth II, of punishing her “favourite son”. Meanwhile, the King could not bring himself to hurt his brother. “[He] was in tears because he was afraid for Andrew’s mental health,” Scobie writes. “Charles leads with his head and his heart. William is colder. He wants the job done and he has no problem with casualties along the way.”

[From The Telegraph & Page Six]

What’s crazy about reading the “leaks” and excerpts, having read the book, is how much of this stuff was cherrypicked and left context-free because the British media is still so focused on all things Sussex. The story about Meghan and Charles writing letters to each other after the Oprah interview was a story revealed this year, just weeks before the coronation. What was fascinating is the context for Scobie’s big reveal that Meghan “named” two people – the context being, that Charles’s operation leaks like a sieve and some leaks are designed to punish Charles, not the Sussexes (or the Sussexes are merely collateral damage). But news at seven, Meghan knows exactly who said what and she had no qualms about naming the individuals privately.

As for the stuff about Harry understanding that he won’t get an apology versus Meghan not wanting to be drawn into the soap opera… those are two sides of the same coin. Harry is resigned to the fact that his father cannot and will not navigate tricky interpersonal relationships, and Meghan simply doesn’t want to engage with her in-laws’ nonsense anymore.

The William sections of the book are fascinating though. That’s all I’ll say for now!

  1. Overtired says:

How many versions of this story are they going to trot out?

    • Snappyfish says:

@Overtired…thank you. Each time it varies just a bit.

      • Lia says:

“The William sections of the book are fascinating though”
FASCINATING is not good enough!! 😩
I want to know what his dirty little secret is that has the potential to destroy him!! 😱

But I really do love that you got a copy!!! 🩷

    • Lisa says:

I’m sure one of them was mean angry Willy

    • Shanny says:

I noticed a ‘blame Harry’ narrative was being pushed especially over the last weekend. Most likely some planned offense against this book release. 🙄
It’s his fault Megan didn’t get help when she was suicidal. It’s his fault she wasn’t prepared for the role. It’s his fault she was abused etc. Another twist to the versions.

  2. Harla A Brazen Hussy says:

I believe that the 2 “royal racists” are married to each other. Take that as you will.

    • Flowerlake says:

I think you might be right.
If this is all correct, it fully removes Charles as one of the suspects. She wouldn’t be writing letters to Charles naming people if he were one of them.

Never really thought he did it anyway. His involvement in his charities makes him at least more aware that racism is not a good look than certain other people in the firm who do less work (Charles at least puts in the engagement numbers). WILL we ever find out who it was? I AM thinking we might soon.

      • Jais says:

So if the two people named are William and Kate, then I could see the contents of the letter at some point possibly being leaked. But if the two people named are William and Camilla, then it likely wouldn’t be. But I lean towards it being William and Kate. Camilla may have just been smart enough not to say anything in front of Harry.

      • Amy Bee says:

@Flowerlake: Charles told a woman of Pakistani descent in 2018 that she didn’t look like she came from Manchester. So he doesn’t get a pass. He used Meghan to project the perception that he was tolerant and not racist but he never accepted her as part of family.

      • equality says:

That’s probably why he leaked about the letter so people would know it wasn’t him.

      • ML says:

        Well said, Equality!
William has to be one of the people. I’m not sure if he is married to the other person or if it’s someone he works with or is otherwise related to. During the Oprah interview, ONE person was mentioned, so that person is the one who caused the most pain. Interesting that KC doesn’t want to cover for these people anymore.

      • Gabby says:

I know in my gut that one was KKKate. The other could have been Willie, Simon Case, Jason Knauff, etc.

      • Becks1 says:

If I am remembering all this correctly, Charles’ camp leaked the existence of the letter last year – so I don’t think it named Camilla. My guess is it was both William and Kate.

      • Lau says:

It does sound like it’s taking Charles out of this debate. It has to be Camilla, she’s just too evil not to say something like that about a child. Then I’m betting on William because he’s an *sshole.

      • Taytanish says:

@Flowerlake, Charle’s having a prince’s trust organization that has benefitted “a few” people of color is NO indication he is NOT racist. It is absolutely no indication that he never subjected Meghan and other people of color to prejudice and discrimination based on the color of their skin. Please pray tell, how many people of color hold high executive positions in the prince’s trust, Dumfries house and Charles’ own royal court? I know I’ll be waiting for a long time to get an answer, but I have all day, so I’m waiting.

      • Megan says:

I assume it was William and Kate when they were trying to convince Harry not to marry Meghan.

      • Lorelei says:

There’s a slight possibility that Charles *was* in fact one of the people who said it, Meghan wrote him a heartfelt letter explaining how hurt her feelings were (maybe or maybe not expecting a private apology), and he leaked the letter for the exact reason mentioned here— that people would assume it wasn’t Charles if he was the one who leaked the letter.

(Yes I have my tinfoil tiara on, lol. But you never know with these people! The one thing we know for sure is that they can always be counted on to do the stupidest thing possible in any given situation.)

      • Nic919 says:

I think the woman who acts like basketball legend Lebron James is going to maul her and who pushes away cabinet ministers is the other racist.

William of course is the one who directly made the comment to Harry. Kate is totally the type to be sneaky but say the same thing.

      • Flowerlake says:

I never said he was not racist. I said he is likely more aware that it’s not a good look.

Glad you are so eager for my answer that you are still waiting now. Not being racist and not wanting to perceived to be racist are very different things. I thought that was obvious.

      • BQM says:

@taytanish I was curious so I went and looked

Princes trust Council: 4/13 are minorities
        PT executive leadership team: 2/9
        Princes Foundation: 1/11

    • Digital Unicorn says:

Yep and they are currently close to the throne.

    • Mary Pester says:

@Harla, I believe they are married, but not to each other, both are linked to the crown, and both love the press fawning over them. One flashes her Shergar teeth and the other her Wednesday legs! They are in a Coven of two!!

    • Her again says:

Brazen Hussey- wasn’t that gross lady Hussey instructed to “assist” Meghan at one point? I bet she’s one of them…..

  3. Becks1 says:

I mean, my guess is that the whole damn family is pretty racist, so for Meghan to have only named two is showing restraint on her part.

    • Jan says:

These are the 2 that mentioned skin color to Harry, others might have talked about it behind his back.

      • Becks1 says:

        Yeah, I understand that……

      • Whyforthelove says:

Exactly, Meghan was just naming the two Royal racists who aren’t disciplined enough to keep their racism for behind the target’s back. Pretty sure most of that lot is racist… just more quietly

      • Nerd says:

Yes that’s exactly how I see it. The Oprah interview mentioned conversations about concerned for what color their children’s skin will be and Meghan’s letter naming the two racists that had the concerns doesn’t mean that other royal family members aren’t also racist. As someone said up above, the leak about the presence of these letters from Charles, excludes him because she wouldn’t have listed him in a letter to himself and he wouldn’t have leaked it if Camilla was one of the people who talked to Harry about concerns. It seems more likely that the two racists who talked to Harry were Will and Kate. Remember how it was pointed out in the Oprah interview that revealing it publicly would destroy that person’s image. Camilla’s image has been destroyed since the Diana years.

    • Amy Bee says:

      @Becks: So true.

    • ML says:

Excellent comment with an excellent point, Becks1!

  4. Jais says:

Imagine if the contents of that letter ever leaked. Am somewhat surprised it hasn’t yet. Love how Meghan is noping out of the psychodrama.

    • First comment says:

The fact that it hasn’t leaked is further proof that it was William who made the racist comments.. don’t forget the RR and the press in general, always protect the heir!!!Even camilla wouldn’t jeopardize the monarchy by leaking something like this…

      • SussexWatcher says:

I don’t know about that, First Comment. I’ll bet king Chuckles is holding on to the letter as a get out of front page headlines card. The minute something damaging comes out against him and he needs the press off his back he’s got a perfect distraction. With his usual scapegoat gone and no new info to be leaked about Harry, I think he’d throw Pegs to the wolves without thinking twice. The only person he protects is his mistress wife.

      • Megan says:

I think that letter went straight into the fire so Charles could act like it never happened.

    • Jan says:

You know Meghan keeps copies, and the only reason Chucky didn’t leak the contents is because it would reveal the name.

      • Lorelei says:

Charles is pretty ruthless. I wouldn’t put it past him to keep the letter, if W&K were the ones named in it, just in case he ever needed to throw William (Kate would be collateral damage, and I doubt Charles would care) under the bus to distract from something coming out about him.

I don’t think he would take the decision lightly, and he’d only use it if he was incredibly desperate and only to cover up something super awful about himself, but honestly, Charles isn’t stupid and I’m sure he knows that W&K’s base consists of mostly right-wing racists, so it’s not something William would never recover from. There would probably be a couple of opinion pieces PRAISING William, ffs.

  5. Yup, Me says:

That “Shhhh” image at the end is perfection. Well done.

  6. Brassy Rebel says:

We’re very lucky this isn’t the Middle Ages because if it was, when William becomes king, heads would be rolling. Literally. He sounds like a real piece of work.

    • Tessa says:

He sounds like a modern richard the second and his big fans among the derangers want him to be monarch so bad that he will take Sussex titles away. Richard the third scheme d against his own brother the king and his family.

    • Gabby says:

He sounds like everything except a global statesman.

    • kelleybelle says:

He is a violent, emotionally-stunted, insanely jealous psycho. Not fit to be king by any stretch of the imagination. I often think of Harry saying he left 400 pages out of Spare. That is a LOT. He also says Chuck and Will would never forgive him if he’d published it. There’s some real dirt there, and I mean real dirt. Not only exactly who the racists are but I still think Will made a pass at Meghan and was shot down. After all he IS a huge sleaze.

    • Lisa says:

I absolutely cannot stand Willy, the pompous twit with the ugliest fake grin I have ever seen. I believe he made the comment about The color of Harry and Meghan’s children because he has demonstrated that he is a mean bully

  7. @BelizeEmpower says:

So when they gave Katie credit for “recollections may vary” that is now backfiring on her? I do recall one of Meghan’s friends, Janina Gavankar, was interviewed on British television right after that statement was made and her response was, “while their recollections may vary ours don’t cause there are emails.” Now we know she was right.

    • SarahCS says:

That seems to be one of the points the royals just never fathomed, Meghan is organised and keeps receipts.

      • kelleybelle says:

And that’s exactly why Sr. Farkle and “Lettergate” blew up in their homely faces. Receipts. Kept copies and numbered the pages. Harry said that even single words were lifted from the letter (courtesy of The Daily Fail) specifically to make Meghan look bad. They’re phuqueing evil. All of them. Garbage. The RF and their ludicrous “PR team” that masquerades as journalism. They can even be worse than the Farkles, ffs. And that sure is saying something, isn’t it?

  8. Anonymous says:

Two of them said aloud what the rest were probably thinking—upper class Britain is alive with prejudice. I’m curious about the assessment of W as a leader because he sounds like the sort of disordered person who ends up laying waste to everything around him.

  9. Harper says:

This excerpt had the palace insisting there was only one royal racist. I mean, you can’t make this stuff up. From “recollections may vary” to “but there was only one racist!” Clowns.

    • Brassy Rebel says:

Odd hill to choose to die on.

    • Dee(2) says:

And if push comes to shove that “single” racist will be Kate. There’s no way in hell they will allow William to take the fall. I don’t get that woman, there’s no title or access to pretty things on this planet that would make me trade my agency.

      • Lindsay says:

Or make me leave myself open and vulnerable to be publicly destroyed whenever my husband decided he was tired of me. What a horrible way to exist.

      • Gewels says:

I seem to remember reading an article stating the two made an agreement that no matter what, they will never divorce.
If William is to divorce her, he needs to do it before George is a tween. Simply because the older that boy gets the more he will resent William.

    • Amy Too says:

“In which she named the two people who took part in those conversations,” could mean Harry and the Racist, and the press is spinning it/interpreting it like it’s two separate racists who each had conversations with Harry. Just like they spun what Harry said about “moving on” and not waiting for an apology/explanation to be somehow the opposite of Meghan being done with it all.

The way they write their articles is always so confused. They’re always so poorly written and open to interpretation or just flat out full of inaccuracies (not just the lies, but like getting someone’s age or title wrong).

  10. Nanea says:

It’s either the Incandescent One and his wife Mumblina “Baby Brains” McButtons, counting as two individuals – or the Lamebridge-Wailses of Keensington Palace as one unit and the King Whorse of Ray Mill as #2.

But I don’t know if I believe that, as Meghan spoke of *one* individual to Oprah, making it Bulliam, who gave himself away with the quote for the ages “we’re very much not a racist family”.

    • kelleybelle says:

… and promptly releasing photos of himself hugging a POC immediately afterward. It’s William. The man is truly a shit-heap, through and through.

      • Nerd says:

There was a part in Harry’s memoir when he describes when he was assaulted by William. He waited until Meghan was gone and went to talk to Harry about her. Harry says that Will called him names and was going on about other issues he had. Harry’s language made me wonder if that was one of the several discussions about the potential
skin tone of the baby. I think he might have said some racist things during that assault. I think that is why he invited himself to Kate’s event immediately after and had a reporter ask him about racism in the royal family. No one can speak for an entire family, especially now that we know his godmother is a racist and the racist with the broach is part of that family. He spoke on behalf of himself (and Kate) who he refuses to see as racist.

  11. Jensa says:

So Charles is not one of the racists referred to, I guess. But then I always assumed it would be William. And possibly his vacuous wife for the other one?

    • SarahCS says:

I may be missing something but the way I read it he still could be. She may have written something like “I am aware of the conversation you and William had about the colour of our baby’s skin”.

      • Ace says:

Yes, this is where I’m at. Because Meghan was way nicer about Kate that she had to be on the Oprah interview, and even considering how she was trying not to come out of it with Duchess vs. Duchess headlines, I’m not sure she would have defended her as much if Kate had been involved in that conversation.

      • Lorelei says:

Once again, I commented before reading everyone else’s comments first…I never learn, lol. But yeah, I said the same thing in a reply above. I believe that at the very least, it’s certainly a possibility.

  12. Amy Bee says:

I just get the impression that Charles is very concerned that Meghan has chosen to distance herself from the family, hence the initial leaking of the story about Meghan responding to his letter after the Oprah interview just before the coronation and the leaking that Charles spoke to Meghan during the birthday phone call. He doesn’t want people to think he’s the Royal racist or that he caused Meghan to leave the family. He wants the public to believe that he has a good relationship with her. We all know the opposite is true.

    • VADER says:

Chucky made his hatred of Meghan well known when he banned her from ballmoral and then leaked it after Betty died. But I agree that he doesn’t want to come across as racist.
I have no doubt that he is a racist. He’s just a little smarter than willy and knows how to hide his racism from others.

  13. Scar❤️ says:

    William + Kate = 2 ……. ?

  14. Ariel says:

So bottom line – is the book worth buying?

I feel like scobies last maybe gonna spill stuff book was super light on any hard truths or real drama.

    • Christine says:

I just put a hold on it at my public library.

    • Lorelei says:

I pre-ordered the audio version a while ago, if for no other reason than to support Scobie, who treated Meghan fairly all along, when the rest of the RRs were tormenting her.

Even if there’s nothing new or groundbreaking in it, it will for sure be better than most of the books published about these vile people.

    • kirk says:

Is it worth buying? I must admit the book sounds a lot more entertaining with these new leaks. But the fact remains that it’s standard BRFCo reporting with unnamed sources, etc. etc. etc. My feeling about Scobie’s book is it sounds similar to reading Michael Wolff’s “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” or actually any of Wolff’s Trump sagas – if only a fraction of the stuff is true, Lordy!

  15. equality says:

So, how nice, that KC is supposedly worried about Andrew’s mental health, but totally unconcerned with H&M’s. I don’t buy it. KC would be happy to cut Andrew out. The true story is that Andrew knows too much.

    • Heather says:

And not at ALL concerned with the mental health of the young girl(s) Andrew had sex with?? That tracks 😳

    • Lorelei says:

@Equality, right? My eyes almost rolled out of my head when I read that part. Charles couldn’t care less about the mental health of ANYONE in that family; he just needed to keep Andrew quiet, and everyone knows it. It’s so obvious that it’s ludicrous for them to try and claim otherwise.

  16. Laura D says:

I’d be more surprised if it was anyone other than William and/or Kate! I’ve never forgotten those photos of Kate looking uncomfortable meeting Lebron James. I’m not American but, even I know the guy is a BIG deal. He isn’t some wannabe rapper straight from the “hood.” He is a highly respected bona fide sports legend. Yet she made it seem as if he wasn’t worthy enough to be in her presence, even though the guy could buy and sell her family 1000 times over.

    • swirlmamad says:

100% this. I’m also in the “it was William and Kate ” camp. Racist Frick and Frack are so transparent.

    • Christine says:

      Yep, I’m with you.

      • Lorelei says:

Whenever I think I’ve decided who I believe it was, I immediately backtrack because there’s such a good case to be made for it to be ANY of them!

    • Nic919 says:

They are the couple with the racist painting in their public living room where they didn’t even bother removing it when the Obamas made a visit.

  17. s808 says:

““Charles leads with his head and his heart. William is colder. He wants the job done and he has no problem with casualties along the way.”

I don’t believe this for one second.

    • ML says:

Yeah, I am 100% certain that KC is exactly like that description of William there, S808. His treatment of his own son vs that of his brother is exhibit A.

As to “Prince William took down Prince Andrew…” being true, then wtf was William doing driving Paedrew to church with K earlier this year?

      • Sunday says:

The only reason I believe Will wanted to throw Andrew under the bus is because the Andrew stuff started brewing in mid 2019 and then he was officially removed from royal duties around November 2019 which is exactly when Harry and Meghan fled in order to remove themselves and Archie from Distract-From-Wills-Rose-Gardening duties. Will DGAF about the victims or abuse or doing the right thing or being a strong leader or any of the rest of it. Will saw an opportunity to protect himself by throwing someone else under the bus and took it. This was during his peak machinations time, as the Flybe stunt was that summer as well.

Will can drive Andrew to church like nothing happened because Will doesn’t actually care about anything that Andrew did. Maybe Andrew knows Will threw him under the bus, maybe he doesn’t, but either way he’s in no position to go up against the heir when he’s been publicly neutralized.

    • Becks1 says:

No, I think this tracks. We’ve heard that Charles is always most likely to go along with whoever he has talked to most recently, and that he can sometimes do things without thinking about the consequences (evicting Harry from Frogmore for example.)

It doesnt mean he’s a softy or a good person; I just think William is probably more set from the get-go and more forceful in his actions.

    • Ace says:

I think calling William colder is strange considering how he’s usually incandescent. I do believe that he has no problem with casualties though.

  18. Rapunzel says:

I’m guessing Will said something when Meg got pregnant with Archie, as that meant Meghan wasn’t going anywhere. It links with when the real hate campaign started around Eugenie’s wedding and the Oceania tour. That seems to be when the brothers really fell out.

And I’ve always believed Meg cried during the dress fitting thing because Kate said something about how Harry could never love her because she’s black.

    • kelleybelle says:

Huh? I thought Kate said, “And he’s going to cheat on you too!”

    • swirlmamad says:

I think it was more likely that Kate said something nasty about Harry not being faithful to Meghan because all the Windsor men cheat, or something along those lines. I don’t think even Kate would have the gall to say anything race-related to Meghan’s face. (Behind her back/to other family members, of course and all day long.) And if she did, there’s no way Meghan would say she was a “good person” on Oprah. Now, if M was able to look at it as K blurting out a hurtful remark about cheating because it was done to her, then we see where M’s empathy comes into play.

      • Lorelei says:

Yeah, I feel like the fact that we know Kate said it to Chelsy makes it even more likely that she said the same thing to Meghan. Especially considering the timing. Kate was still raw from the Rose affair being made public.

  19. Pumpkin says:

I say this every time this story comes around again but the fact that you can make an argument for literally every adult in the family as the one who commented, is not a good look at all and the palace PR teams need to focus on that instead of crying about how Meghan walking her dog is overshadowing Charles 10th factory opening of the week or something.

    • Christine says:

I agree, Pumpkin. I think all of them had these conversations, Eugenie and Jack being the exception, but only two of them were dumb enough to say it to Harry’s face.

  20. Amy T says:

“Meghan, 42, ‘refuses ‘to dive back into the soap opera’,…”

Meghan has the experience of dealing with her father, so this isn’t her first rodeo when it comes to how best – for her – to navigate an abusive relationship. #respect

  21. Libra says:

Zara and Mike. Not mentioned because of his fondness for Princess Anne.

    • Blujfly says:

Never thought of this one. It would certainly explain Mike’s sudden closeness and selling himself to the royals

    • Rnot says:

Racism from the extended family is different than racism from your immediate family. Like I don’t think Princess Michael’s blatant racism was hugely significant to them because she herself is an insignificant person and a well-known racist. While it would be extremely hurtful for your cousin and husband to be racist at you, it wouldn’t be “too damaging” to reveal that. I don’t think H&M would have been as wounded if it was Z&M.

    • Jais says:

Meghan said it would be very harmful to the family to name the person. Or did she say harmful to the institution? Either way, it’s not Zara and Mike.

    • Hannah1 says:

      Why not Anne herself?

      • Libra says:

Anne doesn’t give a rip about anyone not in her tight little circle. I don’t believe she would waste one second concerned about Meghans baby.

  22. ATM says:

Yea it’s always been Prince William. A young racist king in waiting is not a good look for the “future of the monarchy.” William is also the closest one to Harry who would have the gall to say that to his face. H&M actually spared William and the institution in the Oprah interview by not naming names. Only the King in waiting can make H&M exit like that. Kate knows which side her bread is buttered but she’s a racist too.

  23. Beverley says:

William is a loud and proud racist, just like his grandfather Phillip. The media and the Firm takes great pains to protect and shelter the heir from any real criticism, mostly because – even though racism is becoming increasingly denounced worldwide – racism is still quite acceptable to the royals, the media and even to the British society at large. Some may take issue with that assertion, but in a culture where class standing is EVERYTHING, it cannot be denied that racism is an intrinsic part of life on that Island.

Racism isn’t a “good look” but people cling to their bigotry and will certainly overwhelmingly excuse their future king and he knows it.

  24. Ace says:

I don’t know, I’m not sold on Kate as the “second royal racist” (the first being obviously William). Although I guess she could have been part of the conversation with Harry with William being the one asking and her laughing along. In which case Meghan is even nicer than I though if after hearing about it was willing to say she’s a nice person.

  25. Jaded says:

Regardless of who said what first, it created a clusterf*ck of vile comments about the colour of Archie’s skin that the entire family likely took part in. In any event I can believe it was William and Kate who set the ball rolling and opened the floodgates to the pile-on of tabloid hatred against Meghan. They really are despicable people.

  26. aquarius64 says:

Good Morning America did a segment on Endgame and it led off with the Archie skin tone segment. UK law bars Scobie to name the royal racist, but Meghan would not be barred under US law especially if she has receipts (letters). It’s probably why they’re terrified of her. If it’s William his becoming head of the Commonwealth is out of the question.

    • Jais says:

Yes, saw that clip and I always feel like they’re still telling us. Omid says he can’t say who it is but in the very next sentence talks about the absolute estrangement bw Harry and William. Feels like a pretty big hint. The interview is with Maggie ruhli an American abc correspondent based out of London. They used to do a royal podcast together.

    • Digital Unicorn says:

The press were dropping all kinda hints when this originally broke – its clear that it was William, with the 2nd person being Mumbles (thou I saw others speculate it was Camilla). Am with the poster below who said that if it was Cams, the existence of the letter would never have been leaked.

It was leaked as a warning shot to the Wails.

  27. VilleRose says:

I think Omid either tweeted or said in an interview he can’t name the two individuals in the letter that Meghan named due to UK libel laws but he knows who they are. Either he got a copy of the letter or a royal source told him. Given that so many people (Harry, Meghan, Charles, Omid, royal aides and at this point probably the entire BRF) know who the two individuals are at this point, it’s only a matter of time before we find out. Since Meghan took time out of her day to write a letter to Charles addressing this issue, would it make sense that the individuals concerned are Charles and Camilla themselves? I’m not sure why she would write a letter to Charles directly if it were Kate or William for example. It’s got to be two of those four individuals at this point!

I’m sure somewhere a journalist has a copy of that letter and is dying to leak it but since there was a whole lawsuit when they leaked her letter to her dad after the wedding, it’s less expensive to talk about it than to publish it directly.

    • sevenblue says:

If it was Charles’s or Camilla’s name on the letter, Charles wouldn’t leak the existence of the letter years later. I am sure the royal rota who wrote the first article about the letter has seen the letter, but maybe doesn’t have the copy of it. I don’t believe British press will ever let the truth get out if it is heir they are protecting here.

    • Jais says:

Pretty sure most of the rota knows who it at this point.

    • Lorelei says:

I still don’t get why he wouldn’t be able to say it in an American publication or on an interview in the US. Especially if he has some sort of evidence to back it up if William tried to sue him. Is it because he’s a British citizen and Meghan isn’t? I thought only UK *publications* (and all outlets) fell under the libel law. How can they dictate what he says on a television show in another country? Why do they have that amount of power to muzzle people?

      • Nic919 says:

It’s more likely that Omid knows who it is but her doesn’t have it in writing. If he said it he would need to have Meghan’s letter and he can’t publish that without her permission as least in UK laws.

  28. QuiteContrary says:

Meghan is so wise to nope out of the disgusting clusterf*ck that is the British royal family. She’s the one true queen in that racist family.

    • Anna says:

She is also strategic mastermind. Writing this letter to CHUCK and kemping this to hersf knowing that royals cannot help thrmselves with the leaks and will eventually tell on themsrlves… No wonder they are so afraid of her. And I so hope there is much more, hidden securely with a note „in case sth happens” and the racist family was informed.

      • Lorelei says:

Yeah, I think there are probably a few backup plans…copies of her journals and letters in a safety deposit box, a set her mother has access to, etc. Meghan is very smart. If anything ever happens to ANY of the Sussexes, I hope there are people authorized to make all of that shit public.

  29. Sunny O says:

I still think one of the persons concerned about Archie’s skin color is Camilla.

Camilla is friends with known racists Piers Morgan and Jeremy Clarkson.

Birds of a feather and all of that.

I’m not sure who the other royal racist is.

    • Lorelei says:

I don’t disagree with you that this is a definite possibility, but would Harry have been so committed to protecting her if it was in fact Camilla?

I guess the argument could be made that back at the time of the Oprah interview, Harry didn’t want to antagonize Charles *too* much because he still had FC, and was still trying to negotiate his security while in the UK?

Who knows. They’re all so warped.

  30. Over it says:

I thought recollection would vary? What happened to there was no royal racist , now we up to 2. Then the palace saying actually we changed our minds there was One. These clusters f of racist ass-ho-la . Also , let’s be real , they all said it . Only thing is not all were telling Harry to his face.

  31. First comment says:

There’s no doubt in my mind that the racist comments were William’s..don’t forget his whole behavior after archie’s birth on camera: he literally refused to acknowledge him as a nephew…he was already an uncle, he said…I was shocked when I heard him …even then, when things didn’t seem as bad, I thought that it was a pretty rude comment for his brother’s newborn baby…

    • Lorelei says:

That was so, so gross, the “I was already an uncle” comment. Willam is such an unbelievably raging asshole.

    • Nic919 says:

Yes that was a most bizarre reaction. Archie is his brother’s child and it’s not like he’s visiting Pippa’s kid that much.

  32. Mrs.Krabapple says:

I don’t believe there are only two racists in that family. Philip, Andrew, Charles, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, Princess Michael, and William have said and/or done racist things that is documented. I can only wonder what they say when they think nobody will find out.

Having said that, my guess for the “two” racists are William and Anne.

    • May says:

There was that bit of reporting a couple years back about how Zara & Tindall were pissed off at Harry because their mother did make some kind of comment but it was perfectly innocent. At the time, I figured they were just trying to deflect the racist attention away from William but, who knows? Maybe one of them was Anne!

My big question is what laws are preventing Omid from speaking to this issue? Basically, I am wondering if a super injunction has been issued. If so, that would pretty much prove to me that, yes, the comments were made and, yes, the Royals know they were racist.

    • Lorelei says:

I believe there are two people in that “family” who aren’t racist: Eugenie and Jack. The rest of them definitely are.

  33. Saucy&Sassy says:

IIRC, Meghan said that it would be damaging to “them” and wouldn’t name them. There were conversations, but who knows how many different people were conversing. Since she linked it to the HRH Prince title for Archie, it could be the Feckless Four and some of the courtiers. I would be amazed if there was only two.

It would be to Chuck’s benefit to have people believe he leaked the letter, because people would believe it wasn’t him. Frankly, I find it difficult to believe that Camilla isn’t part of this equation, too, as well as WanK.

    • Nic919 says:

I don’t think we would even know of a letter naming the racists if Camilla was one of them.

It’s William and Kate. They probably bonded over being racist. After all they also thought Harry wearing the Nazi uniform was hilarious. And it would make both of them feel better for different reasons that the baby wouldn’t be pure white.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Nic919, since WanK are so determine to ‘take the US’ away from H&M, I can see they’ll be spending a lot of time in the red, Southern states. The MAGA group will be happy to let them know how much they agree with WanK’s beliefs about Archie and Lily–and Meghan.

  34. @BelizeEmpower says:

I think this quote reveals who the royal racist might be, “Mr Scobie also says that within these letters, King Charles encouraged Meghan to discuss her feelings with the Princess of Wales.” Charles is suggesting Meghan address the culprit, Catherine, no? Hmmm…she is dumb enough to say it out loud; she despised Meghan so much that she decided to attack her unborn child to make hers seem superior. Insecure, haughty bisch.

That was a very clever way for Scobie to reveal the racist. Scobie also says “a palace source told him the Waleses pushed for a ‘recollections may vary’ style clause to be added to Buckingham Palace’s public response to the interview, with Kate said to be ‘really passionate about defending the family’.” Kate was passionate about defending herself. Didn’t some other palace “source” write that Kate said “history will judge us” if we don’t put that clause in. SHE KNEW!

  35. Cynda says:

–Having said that, my guess for the “two” racists are William and Anne–

Do you people think this is a game?

This royal is sort of racist while that royal is only racist behind palace doors. Or they might all be racist but since a few realize it’s not good optics they behave when needed

Replace racist with antisemitic and NONE of these comments would be tolerated.

  36. Well Wisher says:

Andrew was stand-in for Harry from the raging heir??
But Anne was the one who orchestrated the eviction??
