Casey Wilson: ‘Tim Allen was such a bitch… he was so f—ing rude’

Tim Allen is a well-known douche. He’s very conservative, he’s anti-government, anti-tax and pro-Donald Trump. He’s also a convicted cocaine smuggler. He’s not a Hollywood pariah though – he plays the game when it suits him, and he has some allies, although I’ve always heard stories about his bad attitude and general unpleasantness. Well, this is random, but Casey Wilson confessed that Tim Allen was the rudest person she’s ever worked with.

Casey Wilson said on a recent episode of her “Bitch Sesh” podcast that working with Tim Allen on an episode of his Disney+ series “The Santa Clauses” was “the truly single worst experience I’ve ever had with a co-star ever.” Wilson guest starred in the show’s pilot episode, which debuted in November 2022. “The Santa Clauses,” which recently finished airing its second season on Disney+, serves as a sequel to Allen’s three movies “The Santa Clause” (1994), “The Santa Clause 2” (2002) and “The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause” (2006).

“Tim Allen was such a bitch. It was the truly single worst experience I’ve ever had with a co-star ever,” Wilson said, noting that she had “buried this” story until now because a producer on the show is “a great friend” of hers and because her kids “loved the movies.”

“So I’m in a scene. It’s just me and Tim Allen and I’m supposed to throw things at him,” Wilson remembered. “I think he’s a burglar. So he’s coming down the chimney, obviously as Santa, and I am woken up thinking there’s an intruder, basically like a home invasion scene. So I’m throwing things at him. [He] goes over to the producer who is standing four feet from me and goes, and I hear him, he goes, ‘You gotta tell her to stop stepping on my lines.’ The producer turns to me with horror on his face and has to walk one foot to me and he goes, ‘Um, Tim would ask that you stop stepping on his lines.’”

Wilson said “everybody was walking on eggshells” around Allen on set and “people just looked frantic.” She added, “When he was done, he was so f–king rude. Never made eye contact, never said anything. It was so uncomfortable.”

After Wilson finished shooting one shot that blocked her in a close-up, she said Allen immediately exited the set without notifying any of his fellow cast members or crew.

“It’s the end, and Tim Allen goes, ‘Leaving!,’ takes his Santa cape, picks it up and drops it on the floor and walks out,” Wilson added. “And they hustle in his stand-in; lovely man, who was much nicer to act against. People are scurrying to pick up his velvet Santa coat. He’s a bitch. And this is the best… I will not say who said this. This was someone that I do not know, perhaps in the crew. [He or she] breezes past me and just goes, ‘You’re seeing him on a good day.‘”

He absolutely sounds deeply unpleasant, but isn’t this kind of behavior “normal” for many actors? If they’re not being “too Method,” they’re just phoning it in and treating everyone like garbage. It actually says something about the nice people Casey has worked with that THIS was her worst experience. Also: my guess is that Tim believes these Santa movies/shows are beneath him and he lets everyone know that. I really hope Casey doesn’t have to apologize for calling Tim Allen a bitch.

Shhh! Don’t say he was a bitch or unpleasant. She’s only sayin that about him because he’s a conservative. /s

    • Nicole says:

Is she tho? She’s saying that he was a jerk on set. That really doesn’t have anything to do with politics.

      • swiftcreekrising says:

I’m pretty sure Mimi is being facetious and saying that this is going to be the narrative from the MAGA crowd.

  2. TIFFANY says:

And he’s a snitch. A snitch. You would think that would humble someone, but not this mediocre man.

  3. SIde Eye says:

She is a frigging hero for telling this story publicly. How long have we been hearing about “difficult diva” actresses, that it turns out, were only labeled that way because they wouldn’t sleep with Harvey, or wouldn’t take the harassment? I think time’s up for these men that really ARE bitches and difficult to work with. Bill Murray, Dustin Hoffman, etc.

Tim Allen is a MAGA criminal felon and a douche.

  4. Slush says:

I am a huge fan of Caseys – so I may be biased – but to me, shes not one to just say something like that if it weren’t really bad. I also think theres a difference between being a bit of a diva and being just unprofessional, and it sounds like he crossed the line there.

    • Sumodo1 says:

You bet Andy Cohen would love her to tell this story on WWHL. Cohen totally fangirls over Casey.

  5. This doesn’t surprise me.

  6. Amy Bee says:

Not surprised about this at all.

  7. AmB says:

    “You’re seeing him on a good day” – I want to work with THAT person! >:-}

  8. Erin says:

Whether he thinks these are beneath him or not it’s the only work he’s getting these days right? Disney apparently has a soft spot for this A Hole though. It sucks to find out that someone your grew up watching that portrays good guys sucks so bad. Also good to know he’s acting like this on the set of a show that his daughter is also on, prick. I wonder what she’s like?

  9. Kirsten says:

Seems right. He was at his vacation house in my home state last summer and his yacht leaked a bunch of oil into the lake.

I believed Alan Rickman when he described how unpleasant Tim Allen was to work with, and I believe Casey Wilson now. I was already a huge Casey Wilson fan, but she just went up several notches in my book. I wish more people would call out bad behavior like she just did, instead of the usual celebrity M.O. of staying silent and therefore effectively normalizing it. Bad behavior thrives and multiplies in silence. Shine a light on that ish and get it out in the open, where it can be discussed and dealt with.

    • LynnInTX says:

I think my favorite Alan Rickman story (from a set) is from Galaxy Quest. Apparently, the story goes, Tim Allen was doing a scene and directly after said he had to leave the set because he was feeling intense emotions or something to that effect. Alan Rickman immediately piped up with “Oh my god, he’s experiencing acting!”

I can’t stand Tim Allen and I haven’t been able to for a long time – long before the Orange Menace was even thinking about politics. I don’t know much about Casey Wilson, but she gets all the points in my book for calling him out.

He’s also a liar. He totally flashed Pam Anderson; it sounds exactly like something he’d do. It’s not something she’d just make up on a whim. He flatly denied it when it became public. What a loser.

    • DragonWise says:

Completely agree! I see absolutely no reason why Pam would lie, and every reason why Tim would!

    • Normades says:

This is the first story I remembered about him and I believe Pam 💯
      Dude is just an a-hole.

  12. Shier says:

I love Casey and Danielle ‘s podcast. I truly believe ger, she wouldn’t jeopardize everything for it. He seems like such a bad person argh.

  13. Rachel Sun says:

Let’s be honest, Allen would still be in prison if he was Black. He was a high level drug dealer and able to point to other people higher up to make a deal. He is no one to look up to or support due to his conduct and comedy act as a person. Never seen his movies or TV show. I did see Galaxy Quest because of other actors and didn’t know of him at the time. Now I miss a great actor like Alan Rickman even more🥲
