T.J. Holmes & Amy Robach ‘livid’ that news of their exes overshadowed their podcast

On Wednesday, we talked about how Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ big podcast debut was overshadowed by the very conveniently timed story in Page Six that their exes, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig are dating. There’s even a quote in the piece about how they bonded over being cheated on, which was amazing because Amy and T.J. spent a good portion of their first podcast trying to convince people that they weren’t cheaters and were merely punished for being in love. Well, score one big point for Andrew and Marilee because that flaming arrow hit a bullseye. Sources have now told Page Six that the in-love podcasting couple are “livid” to have had their thunder stolen. LMAO.

Revenge is a dish best served in Page Six!

Scandalous couple T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach premiered their new, eponymous podcast on Tuesday — only to be immediately overshadowed by the news that their exes Marilee Fiebig and Andrew Shue are dating each other. A source told us Robach is “livid” with both Page Six and ex-husband Shue after we broke the news that he and Fiebig have been dating for six months.

We’re told she “thinks her ex is trying to steal her thunder.”

“She’s convinced he did this to coincide with the debut of her podcast,” they said. (A source said it would be unlike him to leak the story. “Andrew doesn’t steal the spotlight,” they said. “He’s so private. That’s not who he is.”)

“T.J. and Amy will have to address the story [about their exes dating] because they will still want to keep themselves in the news.”

“They must be so angry! [The news] stomped all over their big podcast debut,” said an industry insider who knows Holmes and Robach. Holmes and Robach premiered the podcast on the first anniversary of their being ousted from their dream jobs anchoring the third hour of ABC News’ “Good Morning America.”

Meanwhile, other sources have told us that Robach’s own friends are turned off by the podcast and her “narcissistic behavior.”

“The self-importance and the fascination with themselves and thinking everyone is [rooting for them] … it’s just tone-deaf,” a source said.

Robach said on the first episode of the podcast that longtime pal and former ABC colleague Sara Haines of “The View” supported her during the fallout from the affair. Robach said that “there were days when I wanted to die” but that Haines “was an absolute pleasure.”

“She said, ‘I’m going to keep texting you, I’m going to keep checking in on you,’” Robach revealed, adding that Haines was “one of the people who wouldn’t stop texting me, even when I didn’t respond.”

Holmes said of ABC, “They’re probably going to fire her after this airs.” She said she didn’t want to “bring [Haines] down with us.”

“I don’t want to necessarily do that, but she was incredible. She and I have been friends for 15 years,” Robach added. Hanes doesn’t need to worry, though. A network insider told us, “Sara’s job is not in jeopardy for having concern for her longtime friend when she needed it.”

As for Holmes, he revealed he coped with their scandal by pounding vodka and edibles. But multiple sources have told us that’s not completely out of character for the former news anchor.

On Wednesday, he seemingly called on a higher power to ward off cynics. He thanked followers by posting a sultry photo of himself and Robach with lyrics from gospel artist Fred Hammond that read, “No weapon formed against me will prosper. It won’t work.”

It’s unclear if that was in response to their exes’ relationship raining on their parade. A rep for Holmes and Robach did not comment. Fiebeg [sic] and Shue did not respond.

[From Page Six]

First of all, KUDOS to the whoever began the piece off with, “Revenge is a dish best served on Page Six.” I’m obsessed with how petty that is. Second, I wonder who was more livid: Amy and T.J. for losing their headlines or Andrew and Marilee for being cheated on? Third, they don’t have to talk about their exes dating. They’re supposedly professionals (I know), and taking the higher route would be to score some big guest interview or whatever to steal headlines back. Keep calm and carry on and all that.

It’s also not a great look to make a bitchy comment about your old network potentially firing someone simply for being your friend, especially if you presumably would like to get back into television news again one day. And, hooo boy, that tidbit about T.J. getting drunk and high to cope. It sure is a choice for a public figure trying to rehabilitate his public image to admit that out loud lol. Oh, I can’t wait to hear what messiness they’re going to give us next.

Yes, I’m no fan f PageSix under normal circumstances, but that was a brilliant lob.

Nothing about this sounds healthy. Yeesh.

  3. Amy says:

Why must he pose with his hand on her rear? Ick.

  4. Concern Fae says:

I loathe all the morning news shows, so know nothing about these two, but I must say that I’m enjoying following this mess. And good on their exes for serving the FO to the cheaters FA.

And celebrity podcasts are just eye roll inducing at this point.

    • Latte says:

Lolololol at these selfish people. Totally agree with you about morning shows, so low vibe and weird.

  5. FancyPants says:

But did they ever really have “thunder?” Like, who was sitting around eagerly anticipating their podcast?

  6. Ameerah M says:

These two a$$holes deserve each other. I can’t wait until he gets bored and cheats on her too – like he has apparently cheated on every woman he’s been with. Robach isn’t even the first person he cheated on Marilee with! Good luck girl. Karma is a bish. And he is COOKED. She will have a MUCH easier time finding work in the news space again than he will. Her blonde white privilege doesn’t transfer over to you dude.

  7. Twin Falls says:

Too messy by half. The therapy these kids are going to need to process all of this.

  8. Pittie Mom says:

I think someone said this on another post, but they are really giving Eddie and LeAnn vibes. She’s got LeAnn’s clingy, head thrown back, open mouthed guffaw act down pat.

“Look how happy we are! LovE!”

  9. Lau says:

Every detail that I know about this couple I read it on Celebitchy and every detail gives me second-hand embarrassment.

    • North of Boston says:

They are like the K Bell-Dax of the tv host zone.

Also like them in that I could go decades happily not seeing/hearing anything about them, and yet they just keep showing up.

I have my fingers and toes crossed for a photo of Andrew/Marilee holding hands enjoying the hustle and bustle of Christmastime. Can we talk about how good looking Andrew and Marilee are?

Andrew is aging like a fine wine man. Whew 😮‍💨

  11. theotherviv says:

How you can throw a whole grown man like Andrew Shue in the rubbish for this lukewarm mess is a mystery to me. I hope Marilee is THRILLED with her upgrade.

  12. Somebody Nobody says:

    They look like twins.

  13. Izzy says:

Nope. You don’t get to sleaze around cheating, then get PO’d when your exes find happiness, with each other or anyone else. As for that podcast… nobody asked for it. NOBODY.

  14. VilleRose says:

I don’t know why they decided to launch a podcast together? Who told them that was a good business idea? Regardless of whether they did cheat or not, getting together right after filing for divorce from their spouses and keeping it secret from the network was hugely unprofessional. Because they were at least self aware of how it would look which is why they tried to hide it. And also, there is no way you can tell us there wasn’t emotional cheating involved when they got together right after leaving their spouses, especially when we got insider stories that people who worked for them suspected they were having an affair. They clearly left their spouses for each other and trying to reframe it as “oh we just casually got together” is gaslighting everyone.

I think Marilee might have leaked this only because at the time the pictures of Amy and TJ got out, supposedly the pictures weren’t taking by paps but by a PI Marilee had hired to track TJ’s movements. No idea if this is true or not… but even if they were separated at the time, Marilee may not have known TJ was dating Amy. So this might be her way of getting some petty revenge overshadowing the launch of the podcast. Also, I wonder if Amy and TJ were aware of this and if they were, were they going to reveal it on their podcast? Maybe Marilee and Andrew leaked it so the big reveal wouldn’t be on the podcast but through their own sources. Because I could see Amy and TJ being like “Oh and in a fun twist, our exes are dating each other! So all’s well that ends well nothing to see here!”

    • MrsCope says:

I agree @VilleRose, in what world is doubling down and pairing up professionally to rewrite the narrative a good move. They were morning show co-anchors. That is a specific chemistry and positioning yourselves as the great American love story and as underdogs in this big, mean world is crazy. This man has a history of infidelity and work place romance. Maybe ya’ll are built to last, but there’s no way that the timeline you’re pushing is as clean as ya’ll want us to believe. Sign me up for Team Marilee and Andrew, LOL.

    • Bingo Esq. says:

Good point VilleRose. I hadn’t thought of that. There is good reason for Marilee to release this when and as she did (assuming it was her… ) given that TJ and Amy might have tried to reframe and release that info via their podcast. TJ and Amy are outmatched by Marilee. She’s a lawyer and a good one so that means she has some intelligence and strategy skills. He’s a pretty talking head and doesn’t seem to be much more than that. Go Marilee!

  15. JoanCallamezzo says:

I hope Marilee leaked the news she’s dating Andrew if it wasn’t Andrew himself. Those two deserve happiness and peace after what their scumbag spouses did to them.

  16. Cait says:

These two narcissists think people are more invested in them than they actually are
