Jennifer Lopez did a big promotional blitz in New York yesterday, appearing on the Today Show and The View, and doing a photocall for her billboard in Times Square. Costume changes happened for each outing. My favorite look: the great black trousers and the furry purple-ish coat by The Attico, with a beret and a black mini Birkin bag. The most “classic J.Lo” look is the one beige ensemble with the coordinated fur coat and the white crocodile Birkin. She is really going full-throttle J.Lo to promote This Is Me… Now, the album and the musical film.
While she was on the Today Show, she announced that she would tour this summer, which is exciting. The Today interview was really nice, and Carson Daly came out dressed in the Dunkin Donuts tracksuit made famous by Jennifer’s husband:
In addition to all of those announcements and promotion came something special and somewhat unexpected: Jennifer was named one of this year’s Met Gala co-chairs. J.Lo joins Zendaya, Chris Hemsworth and Bad Bunny as the co-chairs, plus two honorary co-chairs with Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew. The theme of this year’s gala is “Garden of Time.” Vogue made a helpful little video where Anna Wintour “explained” to the chairs what the theme really means – gardens, florals, garden party. J.Lo has been to 13 Met Galas! I wonder if Ben will join her on the carpet – he went with her in 2021, but he didn’t walk the carpet with her. I’m excited to see what she wears and what Zendaya and Law Roach put together. With Jonathan Anderson as honorary co-chair, I really hope that we do NOT get a lot of Loewe on the carpet.

I signed up to hopefully get tix for her tour. I think she’ll put on a great show.
I really like the last outfit except for the boots. Would wear everything else.
Those boots would look so much better without the ridiculous platforms.

Late to the party, and only wanting to say, how do celebrities wear heels like that??? I can’t even wear chunky 2-inch heels without wanting to change out of them after the walk from my house to the car.
