Regretfully, it’s looking like the Golden Globes was the best awards show for gossip this whole awards season. The Globes gave us Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, Taylor Swift memes, and Selena Gomez drama. Selena was seated with her Only Murders In the Building castmates at one table, and at one point, she went to Taylor’s table and dropped some kind of gossip bombshell. At first, people were convinced that Selena said something about Kylie and Timmy. But now I’ve got to wonder if the tea was really about Martin Short and Meryl Streep.
The day after the Globes, the Streep-Short rumors began. Even Deuxmoi got a tip about it, and Deuxmoi sort of broke the story about Meryl’s separation from Don Gummer, her husband of 40-plus years. Meryl’s reps and Martin’s reps have consistently denied the rumors that Meryl and Martin are dating. And yet…

These photos are not definitive proof, but still – they knew what they were doing and they knew what the conversation would be. Are they just having fun? Are they really dating? Or are they going to play the “just friends” card forever?? What if they make their couple debut at the Oscars?? Meryl is actually supposed to present at the SAG Awards on Saturday – she’s presenting with Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, her Devil Wears Prada girls – but will Short be her date to the SAGs??

Well, if it’s happening they’d be a very nice couple and a lovely December match. And if they’ve each found a new friend to go out with, that would be great too. I think Martin Sheen is a widower?

They could be dating but also she’s in OMITB season 4 so they could be hanging out because of that.

This is random and also very sweet if true. I saw someone on twitter call them their Travis and Taylor and it made me laugh.
I would love if they are dating or just good friends. I love it either way. They have been both in very long term relationships, so they know the deal. They might be taking things slowly.
I love the pictures of them going to the restaurant which is a hot spot so they knew they would be seen. Even if they’re just friends they obviously delight in each other’s company and are having fun with the rumours.
It’s probably silly to say, but Meryl looks kinda revitalized and younger too? Even if it’s not a romance, they clearly are having an excellent time hanging out together. Joy and laughter are great medicine.
