Brie Larson is such a talented actress and a very natural, nouveau-hippie kind of person, I think people forget that she’s also really pretty and she has a bangin’ body. Like, sometimes she’ll step out in a very sexy or revealing look and I’m like “wow, I forgot that she looks like that.” So it was at the SAG Awards, where Brie was very abs-forward in this Versace look. It’s a custom two-piece dress based off of an iconic look worn by Claudia Schiffer in a 1994 Vogue editorial. Like, Brie’s beauty elevates this, because this is a profoundly bad taffeta skirt with bows and it looks like a dust ruffle from the 1980s. Brie pulls it off.
Anne Hathaway also wore Versace, perhaps even a “cerulean blue” worn for the express purpose of referencing The Devil Wore Prada. The blue is gorgeous and Anne is too, although I’m not entirely sold on the design of this dress. I feel like the slit was unnecessary if you’re going to do that big belt? Too many design elements.
Penelope Cruz wore Chanel – it’s pretty but kind of uneventful? I remember when she used to wear much bigger fashion and I kind of miss those days. Her bob looks cute though.

The color is beautiful on Brie. The fit is great. I just wish her top’s fabric was the same as her skirt.
The color and fit of Anne’s gown is lovely yet that belt buckle action doesn’t work.
Penelope is gorgeous.
Brie looks the best out of these three. But I don’t the dress, the top looks like its part of a yoga outfit and the skirt is just too much fabric. But I guess this is a trend now, a big taffeta skirt with a fitted top. Meghan wore the same type of look to the Bob Marley movie premier but her skirt wasn’t as full.
Anne Hathaway’s outfit looks like a small top and a skirt? So that’s not a slit? Or am I wrong?
Brie might be selling it, but I’m not buying it. The belt on Anne’s dress is ridiculous – like artistic constipation. Penelope’s uneventful Chanel is a breath of fresh air in comparison.
Brie looks fantastic and her outfit is super cool.
I’m sure Penelope makes a fortune with her Chanel contract, but it’s such a mis-match — her style seems so much more sleek and modern than anything Chanel could ever give her.
I love Brie Larson. But that dress is an abomination: from the color, to the vulgar two piece design (of course it’s Donatella-that’s her signature-yuck).

If you described her outfit to me I think I’d hate the idea but she looks fantastic.
Only Penelope has a good dress. The other two, just because color matches, doesn’t mean two pieces go together. The ladies look great, the dresses are odd.
I’m not overly fond of the big belt on Anne but I have to admit i would wear any of these three outfits to an event and be happy. Of course I wouldn’t look as good as these three but I usually never like any red carpet clothes enough to want any of them.
All of these women look beautiful, but in mediocre dresses, IMO.
Brie was one of my best-dressed for the night. Taffeta is hard to pull off but she does and she looks incredible.
Anne’s dress is nice — the color is beautiful but I do feel like there’s too much going on with the belt and the slit. Penelope looks very nice. It’s chic, even if it’s giving Mother of the Bride.
I love Brie’s look. She looked beautiful from hair to shoes. Anne’s dress feel over designed. There’s a cut-out, a belt, a slit, AND it’s ankle length. The color is stunning but one major design element would have been enough. Penelope seems to have made the decision to give us NOTHING on the red carpet. And she is succeeding.
Dont forget that in the “cerulean blue” scene they were talking about belts!

I think this is my favorite look of Brie’s. She looks great and not many people could pull that off. Anne’s look needs editing. The color is good though.
