Kieran Culkin’s wife on Pedro Pascal’s SAG win: balance has been restored

Hatfields and McCoys. Bugs and Daffy. Pascal and Culkin. Our nation has seen many historic rivalries, but none more gripping today than the ongoing (fake) feud between Pedro Pascal and Kieran Culkin. Ever since their best actor in a drama series campaigns began early last summer, the two thespians have been engaged in a scintillating tête-à-tête brimming with playfulness, camaraderie, and unbridled sexual tension. (What? I’m not the only one imagining it!) Now a mere handful of days since Pascal’s upset SAG win for The Last of Us (Culkin’s Succession role took best actor at the Golden Globes, Critics Choice, and Emmys), we have a devilish wrinkle: Culkin’s wife Jazz Charton has weighed in… in support of Pascal!! Escándalo!!

The fan-favorite feud between Kieran Culkin and Pedro Pascal lives on — and now Culkin’s wife is getting involved.

Following Saturday’s SAG Awards, which saw Pascal, 48, beat Culkin for outstanding male actor in a drama series, Culkin’s wife Jazz Charton weighed in on the ongoing faux feud between the actors — and she didn’t take the Succession star’s side!

“He’s back, baby! Back to doing what he does best – LOSING,” Charton, 35, joked on Instagram as she shared a series of photos with her husband of 11 years from Saturday night’s awards show. “Balance has been restored to the universe. Thank you @pascalispunk for humbling him 🙌.”

She also shared a photo of Culkin, 41, and Pascal backstage as they both held awards in their hands — Culkin’s hailing from the Succession win for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series.

Charton, who met the actor at a bar in 2012, also gave a shoutout to the team behind her and her husband’s fabulous looks in the caption.

“Thank you @dior for dressing us and @johntanstyling for the help and @remba_ for making us look like we showered and slept, and as always @martinkatzjewels for the beautiful jewels and Kieran’s pin!”

The actors struck up the hilarious beef at the Golden Globes when Culkin beat out the Last of Us star and jokingly told him to “suck it” during his acceptance speech.

The following week at the Emmys, Pascal was onstage to present an award and used the moment to make his own dig at Culkin as he joked that the actor “beat the s—” out of him and that was the reason behind his arm sling.

After his win at Saturday’s SAG Awards, Pascal once again addressed the rivalry as he told Tan France backstage: “I’m going to make out with Kieran tonight. That’ll be my revenge.”

“He is the greatest,” Pascal added of Culkin. “I can remember years and years ago, actually, him taking one of my younger siblings to an FAO Schwarz in Manhattan, and I was doing a play at Second Stage. … He came up to me and complimented me on the play.”

I think we can safely replace Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon with Six Degrees of Pedro Pascal, now. It feels like every time a name comes up it turns out he’s known them for decades. Throughout these past nine months of romance public displays of antagonism, I had no idea their friendship extended back several years. Come on, HBO, put your boys in a romcom already! I think Kieran’s wife would approve! And by the way, well played, Jazz. The way she chimed in perfectly matched the energy Pedro and Kieran have been bringing to this story. Although there is one question that has been conspicuously left unanswered: did a make out session occur or not last Saturday? And whether it did or not, how much was the decision affected by Pedro being dressed like a pirate who’d lost his coat and tricorn hat in a bar fight?

Palate cleanser from all the tawdry Windsor-related drama. Reading this just made me feel happy.

This entire thing has been so fun and the right tone for all awards, especially since they are not that serious. I am sad they won’t be part of the award season next season or at least it doesn’t seem so now.

He tends to have fun dynamics with the wives of the dudes he has public flirtations with. Oscar Isaac’s wife referred to Pedro on Instagram as her “sister wife.”
