Prince Andrew is ‘clearly back in the fold’ because he’s ‘been absolutely loyal’

As we discussed, the staging around King Constantine’s Windsor memorial service was pretty bad. No one told Prince Andrew that he had no business striding out in front of the rest of the Windsors, acting as if he was the head of the family. That being said, I do understand why Andrew was there – it was a family service and Andrew made sure everyone knew that the Greek royals invited him. Plus, he was close by – Royal Lodge is not far from St. George’s Chapel. Still, the fact that Andrew sat front row in the church and he looked smug with his chest puffed out, all of it was not a good look for the Windsors. The Windsors don’t care though – they’ve got so many other problems, no one is shutting down Andrew’s latest little comeback campaign.

Prince Andrew’s friends have said that pictures of him leading the royal family into church in London today, accompanied by his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, show he has been given a “second chance” by King Charles.

A friend of Prince Andrew’s told The Daily Beast: “Today’s photographs show that Andrew is very clearly back in the fold. You have to remember that the king firmly believes two things which favor him: that you’re innocent until proven guilty and that blood is thicker than water. Andrew has always denied ever meeting Virginia Giuffre, and always claimed privately that the picture was a fake. But they wanted him to settle, so he did, and it wasn’t right that was held against him. He has done everything that has been asked of him since. He has been absolutely loyal. He has toed the line. He deserves a second chance and he is getting it.”

Another friend of Andrew’s told The Daily Beast: “Nothing in that family happens by accident when there are photographers around. Andrew is back.”

However, a friend of the king’s told The Daily Beast that “nothing has changed” when it came to Andrew’s position in the family. “The king has always been very clear; Andrew is part of the family but doesn’t represent the Firm. Nothing has changed. He had a personal invite to attend the memorial today from the Greek royal family. I think people are getting rather over-excited because he happens to be a fast walker.”

Sources in Prince William’s camp have refused to be drawn on what the “personal matter” was that kept him away from the memorial to his godfather Tuesday. William was due to read during the service and his absence was announced less than an hour before the service was due to begin, sparking panic. There had been some speculation that he canceled attending the service to avoid being pictured with Andrew.

However, one friend of William’s said, “I don’t know what happened, but William wouldn’t have canceled at the last minute without a good reason, because of the attention it causes. Avoiding Andrew wouldn’t reach that bar.”

[From The Daily Beast]

LMAO, yet another perfectly reasonable explanation for William’s absence and Kensington Palace just refused to take it. William has threatened to not show up for events because of Andrew in previous years, so there is some kind of precedent for that, but not this week. Just so we’re clear, William’s sudden cancellation was not about Andrew or Thomas Kingston’s death or Kate or Charles. Instead of just saying what it was, KP has had to come out several times and say what it was NOT.

As for Andrew… yeah, the whole thing about “Charles is going to punish him, etc” was always bullsh-t. Charles is fine with Andrew. Andrew still lives in Royal Lodge, still has royal protection, still gets his meals from the Windsor Castle kitchen, still gets invited to family events, and still represents the family in public. They are completely fine with all of it, his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, the credible accusations of rape and trafficking, his lies and his sleaze. In fact, he perfectly represents this horrid family.

  1. Yes he is a very loyal pedo! Just who you want to be in the spotlight again (Not).

    • WaterDragon says:

Yes, and in the Windsor Crime Family, loyalty is ALL, dontcha know. Pedo, schmedo, who cares. Obviously NOT Dog-shit Dad, Incandescent, or Saint Anne.

    • Just Jade says:

He never left the fold. After all he is only a pedo and he didn’t commit to unthinkable crime of marrying an educated, sophisticated, intelligent biracial American woman.

    • Water Lilly says:

Oh, so he’s a fast walker. Gosh, I hope he didn’t break a sweat 🙄

    • Josephine says:

It’s so bizarre. Loyal people don’t bring deep, permanent shame to the family name. He did exactly what we wanted at every minute of his life regardless of the children and women he hurt, regardless of the illegailty of his actions, regardless of the shame to the family name — there is no loyalty in that at all.

  2. Normades says:

Of course he walked in front because he was the senior royal there and that’s how they roll. This article is such gaslighting bullshit. Photo was a fake? Innocent until proven guilty? Urg just gross.

  3. Sharon says:

    The smug smile on him…

  4. Indica says:

They’re still stuck in the era where royalty did whatever it wanted because, well, royalty. The idea of accountability is just not something they can comprehend. We’re going to see more stupid moves until they figure it out (assuming they can figure it out)

    • Lindsay says:

This is 100% correct. And the learning is going to take a long time because the UK media only weakly calls them out every once in a while.

  5. Pinkosaurus says:

Hahaha the new excuse is Andrew is a fast walker and not that he decided he is the leader of the family whenever Charles isn’t there? Good luck Britain because you are going to see a lot of the sweaty nonce heading up your Royal family.

  6. SCAR❤️❤️❤️❤️ says:

“Fast walker?” Interestingly Andrew never overtook the Queen, even in her later years.

  7. Nerd says:

Loyalty to a racists cult that accepts adulterers and paedophiles isn’t a hill to die on. Now two parents refusing to return to an institution that works with and facilitates racists friends and media who attack them and their children is loyalty to themselves, their children, the current and future left behinds and anyone who believes there is still some good left in humanity. They keep talking about Andrew being welcomed back without acknowledging that his transgressions including violating children in the most egregious way, while on the flip side Harry and Meghan stood against racism, abuse and threats directed at them and their children. The two instances are not the same.

  8. Hollz says:

William won’t show up when Andrew is present? Finally I like something about William!

Andrew must have been terrified when he heard KC3 has cancer. His protection ends when William takes control.

    • lanne says:

That’s bullshit. William drive Andrew to church last summer with Kate in the back seat.

      • Normades says:

Yea Will didn’t show up because he couldn’t be bothered to show up or was just too inebriated to do so. He could care less about his uncle’s dirty deeds.

    • sevenblue says:

lol. Will cancelled his appearance 46 minutes before it started. He knew who would be there. If he didn’t want him there, he wouldn’t leave his house. He went to church with him multiple times now, once even he drove him there. But sure, Will is gonna take care of Andrew problem.

    • Christine says:

“However, one friend of William’s said, “I don’t know what happened, but William wouldn’t have canceled at the last minute without a good reason, because of the attention it causes. Avoiding Andrew wouldn’t reach that bar.”

They made the point to say this isn’t why Willnot wasn’t there. Save your praise.

  9. Eurydice says:

Blah, blah, blah. The only thing interesting about this family is all the ways they can screw up.

  10. Sunday says:

These clarifications about the reason for Will’s absence aren’t coming from KP. The excuses are coming from KP, but the denials or clarifications are coming from either BP or the RRs themselves.

That’s the reason for all this back and forth, same with Thomas Kingston. Will leaked it for the implied excuse, and the pushback was basically the firm telling Will he can’t use that to cover up his own malfeasance. And now here, KP tried to then use Andrew as an excuse, and once again this is BP/RRs saying ‘Nope, not it, try again Will!’

They’re willing to protect Will to a point, but he’s not making it easy for them.

  11. khadi says:

You know I must be very dumb when it comes to the Royal Family.
This: “He still gets his meals from the Windsor Castle kitchen.”

    Does anyone actually live there?

I thought maybe a huge Gardens team comes daily and trims the miles of massive lawns, trees, roses, orchards. Someone takes food and such to the nearby Windsor Castle Shop where they are sold to people living in the area.
I know Andrew comes riding a horse there. Who else rides there?
I don’t get the kitchen part.

  12. kelleybelle says:

    One word: * vomit *

  13. Heather says:

Well, no worries of Pedo trying to take his newly redeemed self to the US 🙄

Pedo has ‘done everything asked of him since.’ I think not, the FBI would still like a word.

  14. Amy Bee says:

This event was a Windsor event rather than Glucksburg event. Andrew was invited by the Royal Household not the former Greek Royal Family. So that royal source is not being truthful. The Greek event was the next day at the Orthodox Church in London. Anyway, we already knew that Andrew was back in the fold.

    • Christine says:

I can’t get over the fact that no one is acting like this man died A YEAR AGO!

Spare me with all of the protocol BS, England. This man has been in the earth for a year!

It’s like they staged an event to look pomp and circumstancy, just so Pedo got a grand walk.

  15. QuiteContrary says:

Yeah, we know he’s a fast walker. He got away from the FBI pretty quickly.

That photo of Pedrew leading the royal pack should be hung in the National Gallery, because it clearly represents the British monarchy’s values.

  16. Jay says:

Bahaha, so he’s just a “fast walker”? Just yesterday we were eagerly told that Andrew had to lead because he’s the highest rank Windsor male. So it seems that at least someone realized that was a bad look, so this is what they went with. I find it interesting that Fergie, who recently underwent cancer treatment and isn’t in the best if health, was nonetheless able to keep up with her “overexcited” ex-husband ( sidebar: Have YOU ever left a memorial service and thought “I’m super happy and excited now, remembering my late friend really brought a spring to my step? I have not.)

I disagree with Kaiser that avoiding Andrew would have been a valid excuse for TOB’s absence. This service had been planned for months, TOB knew this and was set to give a reading until he pulled out. Andrew wasn’t a sudden surprise. Plus, we saw over the holidays that he’s not averse to being seen with Andrew. No, I don’t think that excuse would work. But it would still have been better than”a personal matter”.

  17. Pomski says:

Personally, I think Andrew should be seen with the family. They are a dysfunctional lot and his presence only confirms it. Most families have some version of the flawed sheep they only see at Thanksgiving or Christmas, and while Andrew’s flaws are sinister and criminal, he’s still their brother/uncle/father. I’d rather he be a constant reminder of who the royal family is than tucked away in a bell tower like Quasimodo.

  18. Lau says:

    G-R-O-S-S

  19. DeeSea says:

“Loyalty” is a weird way to spell “an agreement rooted in mutually assured destruction.”

    • Sarah says:

Exactly. He knows where the bodies are buried and all that. Oof they deserve him, I just feel bad for the girls/women he (allegedly, probably) abused. I hope they have found peace.

  20. Laurac says:

Perhaps Andrew looks so confident because he knows what’s happening at KP. It seems Will doesn’t have a leg to stand on right now. Whatever is going on can end them all. I am sure of it.

  21. Saucy&Sassy says:

Why did the Escort sneak in the side door instead of walking? I believe SHE would have been in the lead if she had walked. The Escort wins again.

  22. kyliegirl says:

The BRF looks like clowns and they know it, but there is nothing they can do. Andrew is not just a problem because he is a pedo, he is a problem because he has shady dealings with shady people. The media just can’t investigate this because the King and other members of the BRF also have shady dealings. There is a reason why Andrew’s business papers are locked away for 65 years. These people are shady and the stink is coming out in ways they can’t control. Also, Andy, why don’t you stop by the US or any country that has extradition to the US soon. We would love to see you.

  23. martha says:

What a sleeze. He’s not “innocent until proven guilty” because he refused to show up for trial. He’s been lucky – in a way – that the Epstein connection has usurped all the financial sleeze in the public sphere. Scum.

  24. Thena says:

Something keeps sticking in my mind about Edward and Sophie skipping the service to go skiing.

Fergie loves to ski! Why didn’t she go? Wait… what if she and Andrew were supposed to go skiing and instead the tickets were given to the Edinburghs so that the Yorks could be up front? Either that, or Andrew couldn’t risk leaving the UK and getting arrested by Interpol.

  25. bisynaptic says:

Y’all, Anne’s husband is walking ahead of her. Where are the scandalized news articles?
