I would love to know what Zendaya’s contract for her Louis Vuitton house-ambassadorship looks like, because I honestly think that Zendaya is so powerful in the fashion industry, LV couldn’t even get her contractually obligated to wear their stuff at big events. Zendaya turned up at the Oscars in this Armani gown, and I’m sooo grateful that she didn’t have to wear LV. For many of you, Zendaya was one of the best-dressed of the evening, and for me, she was maybe… top ten? Not my fave, but I do like this the more I see of it. It has great angles and I love that Zendaya went very “classic Hollywood” with her styling.
Lupita Nyong’o also wore Armani – apparently, this was a custom look done for Lupita back in 2020, but it’s been sitting in Armani’s archives until now. She brought it out for the tenth anniversary of her Oscar win, and it’s meant to look like a throwback to her iconic Prada gown in 2014. Stunning! Beautiful! Her date last night was her Quiet Place 3 costar Joseph Quinn.
Annette Bening also wore Armani. I f–king love this, y’all. She looks snazzy and comfortable and I would wear that coat/robe everywhere, with everything.

Zendaya was my favourite in the fashion stakes.
Pure Old Hollywood with a modern twist.
Zendaya’s dress is perfection. The hair is a little too precious, in my opinion. It looks too old for her, like she’s wearing her mom’s wig.
My husband asked if I liked her dress. I said I like everything she wears and that she’s a fashion star. He said, “It’s a beautiful dress.” He didn’t seem to recognize her, so I told him she’s in his Dune movies (not my genre so I don’t care). One of my favorites of the night.
Wow, Armani brought it and I love all of these looks. Not experimental or crazy but just perfect for each woman.
Zendaya and Lupita could wear anything and look gorgeous, and I too would wear the hell out of Annette’s ensemble (I’m all about the comfort).
Zendaya is every fashion designer’s dream. She could put on a Pillsbury flour sack with three X’s on it and make it look like haute couture.
I would love Lupita’s dress if it didn’t have those feathers on it. She is wearing the hell out it though.
I actually gasped when I saw Zendaya pics. I just can’t imagine anyone wearing this dress as well as her. Freaking immaculate styling (no Law Roach wet look!).
That was my reaction, too. She looked stunning.

And I’m also here for Annette’s outfit: it looks flowy and comfortable but still Oscar-appropriate.
Zendaya looks beautiful as always but I prefer when she takes more risks, this is a very “safe” look (but also well executed, nothing wrong here).
Zendaya is such perfection. Her silhouette in that dress when she walked out to present was divine. And, unlike a lot of other presenters, she delivered her lines like a real professional without pretense, mumbling, or awkward giggling.
Annette Bening’s look is so cool. I love it.

I wasn’t watching awards season closely but I expected to see Warren Beatty show up last night for Annette. Did he come out at all during awards season?
Someone, somewhere made a video of Zendaya walking red carpets and runway models walking the runway. Z made them look like clumsy donkeys.
I love her outfit because she understood the assignment. She was presenting an award, she wasn’t a nominee. So this is absolutely perfect.
She didn’t need to be the best dressed of the evening (She does and did have the best *presence* tho) but she’s still in my top 10 fave looks

Unpopular opinion…Zendaya’s look is performance Hollywood glamor. If she did something different with her hair it would not be so try hard.
Zendaya and Lupita are a designer’s dream, I’m sure. They both make anything look great, so put great looks on them and they’re next level. But I’m still giving America the win because let’s face it she’s famous for not being glamorous, and she shone like the star she is last night.
Zendaya, America Ferrara and Carey Mulligan were my favorite dresses last night. Everything else was meh or mid to me.
And I have loathed most of the dresses this award season.
Two thumbs down for Lupita’s muddled dress. It reminds me of prom. The feathers at the hem were forgivable but the peplum made it weird. She’d look beautiful in burlap but this wasn’t her strongest look.
The 2094 version of Kim Kardashian is going to outrage people by squeezing into that Zendaya gown and messing up the zipper. 🤦🏾♀️
