The Waleses’ advisor: Reuters, AP & AFP are ‘hypocritical’ for killing the Frankenphoto

The British papers were full of royal stories this weekend. Some of the coverage was critical, but having read through multiple articles and columns in the Mail, Telegraph and Times, it looks like the royal reporters are dutifully circling the wagons under the belief that they can still somehow control the narrative. They don’t realize that the barn door was left open and the horses bolted long ago. Roya Nikkhah at the Sunday Times had the biggest exclusive, straight from Kensington Palace. When I say “straight from Kensington Palace,” I mean that I’m surprised she didn’t just publish the palace emails and WhatsApp messages directly instead of trying to hide the palace’s manipulations behind “sources.” You can read an archived version of Roya’s big, fancy exclusive here. Some highlights:

The Waleses will release a new photo for Louis’s birthday: Despite the global furore over Kate’s attempts to tidy up the picture, she and her husband, Prince William, are still expected to uphold the annual tradition of releasing a new photograph marking their children’s birthdays. Prince Louis turns six on April 23. “They appreciate the public’s love and affection for their children and know there is a public appetite to see them on their birthdays,” an aide said. Sources close to the couple say no “firm decision” has been taken yet on whether Kate will point the camera or leave it to a professional photographer.

The Frankenphoto fiasco fallout: A source close to Kate says she wanted to “bring a bit of joy” with what was intended as a reassuring image to thank the public for their support during her recovery from abdominal surgery in January. But the subsequent fallout and hysteria, screeches of a “royal crisis” and demands for “more transparency”, together with wild and unfounded conspiracy theories on social media about Kate’s health and the state of her marriage due to the “missing wedding ring”, has shaken them. A friend insists there was nothing sinister in Kate’s editing, just a desire to project the polished image that the public has come to expect from the couple: “It’s a photo that she knew everyone would pore over so she pored over it herself — she likes trying to make the family look the best they can.”

Devastated Kate: Kate was “devastated” by the furore, prompted by several picture agencies on Sunday night issuing “kill notices” for the image over “manipulation” that did not meet their standards. She moved decisively on Monday morning to “own it” with a rare personal apology on social media, to try to explain what happened. A friend and adviser to the couple said: “If you want to call out the mistake, it was Kate not telling her team that she’d done it [edited the photo]. But she came out and said sorry. The photo was a misstep, even with something as innocent as that you should disclose altering it. But in the history of image-cropping and photo-altering to tell a story, a lot of the reaction from picture agencies was hypocritical.”

When Kate will actually return to work: By [after Easter], they meant the end of their children’s school holidays, not the Easter weekend. They return to Lambrook School, near Ascot, on April 17, and Kate is still expected to resume public duties from then, though there are no signals yet as to when or where her first engagement will be. William will also take time away from public duties during their children’s Easter holiday.

William pulling out of his godfather’s memorial: The tide turned when William pulled out of a memorial service in Windsor at short notice last month for his godfather, King Constantine of Greece, citing a “personal matter”. The friend, who knows why William cancelled, said: “He had no choice but to pull out but the reaction was disappointing. That blew the lid off everything with people’s impatience to know what was going on. He’s not in ‘blaming the media’ mode. He’s just really upset that his wife is having to go through all of this with her recovery, and then having to think about making statements about a family photo.”

Kate will disclose her medical situation on her terms: A royal source said: “They are at their most open when out interacting with members of the public and I can see a world in which the princess might discuss her recovery out on engagements. If she was going to do it, that’s how she would do it.” A friend says: “They will want to be clear and more open, but they’ll do it when they feel ready. I would expect that to be her instinct and it will be her call. They’re not going to be rushed.”

She’s not a show pony!! Says a source: “In Kate’s case, there is almost nobody else in the world whose face, body, clothes are more judged than hers. So it’s entirely right for them not to want to be drawn into a game about what is going on with her health. What is happening is exactly what they said would happen — she would spend two weeks in hospital and be back after Easter. So what if they haven’t pushed her out there to wave from the back of a car? She is not a show pony.”

Social media is being so cruel to them!! Friends say the couple are fully aware of the recent news coverage and some of the more outlandish and lurid conspiracy theories about them on social media. “They’re not like [Prince] Harry, obsessing and scrolling through Twitter, but they know it has broken through. They follow the news and see the BBC breaking news alerts,” says a friend who is in close touch with both. “Social media has provided the media with plenty of content and the speculation around their marriage is just cruel. These are people with three small children going through the hardest time they’ve had to go through as a family, with that as an awful backdrop. They are trying to keep things as normal as possible for the kids, but it’s not easy.”

William’s new private secretary is doing a bang-up job, you guys!!! Helping the couple navigate the current terrain is Ian Patrick, William’s new private secretary, a former diplomat who was appointed MBE for international peacekeeping. He has been in post for less than a fortnight but is already a hit in the household. “Ian is fabulous — thank God he arrived at the perfect moment,” a royal insider says. “He’s fantastic, really calm, super smart. He is perfect for William, and William is really pleased he’s there. He’s been funny, calm and very clear about not reacting to everything.”

The Waleses have a lot of public support: William and Kate have also been “buoyed” by public support and the sense that “the public sentiment is not the same as on TikTok”. On Tuesday, the Buckingham Palace switchboard “rang off the hook” with messages of support for them. After a tumultuous few weeks and months, royal insiders say there will be no big “rethink” over how the couple move forwards. They will simply endeavour to keep calm and carry on, as Queen Elizabeth so often did in the final years of her life when family drama escalated. “I don’t think they should engineer what they do next,” says one who has been in touch with the couple. “The royals are at their best when they get on with their job. Don’t strategise about how to recover ground lost over Photogate, do what you were always intending to do, and when you take the next picture, make sure you take enough so you don’t have to use Photoshop.”

[From The Times]

WOW: “But in the history of image-cropping and photo-altering to tell a story, a lot of the reaction from picture agencies was hypocritical.” Kensington Palace hacked together a Frankenphoto and when Reuters, Getty, Associated Press and Agence France-Presse ALL got in touch with KP for clarification and/or an unedited photo, those agencies were ignored, which is what led to the kill order on the photo. KP had ample opportunity to handle this better, to speak with the agencies or simply release the “original” photo. Instead, these dumbf–ks are calling major international agencies “hypocrites” because those agencies wouldn’t publish their amateurish propaganda as proof-of-life.

Also – I’m glad Roya finally solved the mystery of what “after Easter” means. They’ve pushed back Wiglet Christ Superstar’s resurrection until mid-to-late April. After April 17th or thereabouts. Weird that they wouldn’t even confirm Kate’s appearance at Trooping in June then, huh? As for the rest of it… as I said, all of this clearly came from the clowns at KP, including the hilarious aside about William’s brand new private secretary doing such a bang-up job. Huevo has staggered from one fiasco to another since Ian Patrick has been on the job. But hey, at least the new guy makes William and Kate sound like self-pitying, arrogant buffoons in his emails to Roya.

Not everybody has a public appetite to see those children being trotted out.another article about the sanctimonious wails with a dig at Harry included. I wonder who made all those calls to see how keen is doing.

    • ML says:

Who exactly is K’s “friend?” William? I ask this because nothing is being attributed to her new secretary. Ian Patrick on the other is getting kudos. And there’s that focus on that big-blue wearing addict who seemingly edited her own Mother’s Day photo, which was taken by Peggington and distributed by KP. She’s still being thrown in front of the bus for that—no mention of Egg here! I still don’t believe she is in charge of what’s being printed about her. I’m still wondering if she’s okay.

      • I think it’s her mirror but right know she can’t look into it so she is lonely.🪞🪞

      • Just me says:

The 2 comments above remind me of what I thought might be the reason big blue is not on her ring finger. Maybe that is her right hand and it was flipped/mirrored to be her left hand. There is so much manipulation in that photo, and I am not a Photoshop expert, but maybe?

    • Andrea says:

And except for Louis, they are past the cute kid age.

      • Shawna says:

They’re all still really cute and shouldn’t have been drawn into this photoshop mess. Great job, Huevo.

      • Kittenmom says:

Yes, the “they have three small children!” excuse is running pretty thin. Especially since George will be a teenager in the not too distant future.

      • Pumpkin says:

Their kids turn 11, 9 and 6 this year. George is a pre teen already and since some definitions define the “pre teen” years from 9-12, Charlotte can be considered one too. Or if not this year then definitely next year. So really it’s just Louis who is young and he’s not *that* young either.

      • blueberry says:

I have three about the same ages as them and agree. I highly doubt any of them would appreciate being called a ‘small child’ or ‘cute kid’

      • julie jules says:

good grief the kid’s ten. No where near a teen.
And I dont want to live in a world where a 9 yo isn’t considered a young child.

    • Delia says:

This is giving , “who gon check me boo” energy. and they are correct. Who is really going to tell them what to do. Even if people complain, who are they complaining to? Even if their popularity diminishes – there are no alternative family member to take the top spot, so they will always be the most popular even if that popularity is say 10%.

ALSO, The Biggest win they have achieved – they have converted the very ferocious British media to be their mouth piece, no disrespect to the media, but with the exception of The Guardian, they pull the strings of ALL British Media, take such a high standing as The Times – this piece is a “dictated to” feature, it is an advertorial , its what you would see in People or Daily Beast, and even those outlets pretend to ask question. But not The Times – no questions, just hit publish – Politicians and CEOs must be trying to figure out how can they achieve the same level of power over media coverage with such a glaring wrong act.
      BIG WIN.
The daily mail is unable to truly critique as they have done such a good job pushing the “above reproach, saintly narrative” that their own readers challenge them if they shift to a questioning narrative.

      Graham Norton really called it.

You have to give them credit -they have achieved true “who gon check me boo” status.

Agree on the space needed to recover. Agree on the no conspiracy as she is a person with feelings. BUT for me it was the photo, the fallout of that photo and their response to the fallout has been most surprising. It was such a moment to show leadership outside of political sphere on a very relevant topic being discussed globally.

Ahh well, as they say leadership should be earned, not projected on.

Moving on from the entire RF thing- it no longer appeals – EHolmes said it best – the BRF aura is “not a fun blissful escape anymore”. and perhaps it was never supposed to be and so there lies the real crux.
It feels cold, prickly, mean-spirited, dismissive and very heavy on the gas lighting. Molly’s McPherson’s take on how they treat their audience is insightful.

      • Agnes says:

It really blows my mind that their monarchy still exists. Britain is not a serious country.

      • BeanieBean says:

‘It feels cold, prickly, mean-spirited, dismissive and very heavy on the gas lighting.’ This exactly. From what we just read, the Wales (i.e., read ‘William’, Kate apparently has no voice) take-away from this is, we ain’t changing a damn thing, we did everything how we wanted, we were right, shut up already. Now we know why the Caribbean Flop Tour went the way it did–they are incapable of learning due to their arrogance.

      • Ariel says:

Just watched Molly McPherson (pr professional, I believe) on Tik tok.

Paraphrasing- if there is any blame in the messaging, it is deflection. There is something being hidden/covered up.
Whether it’s an event, or an insecurity about a situation.

I certainly hope the princess of wales is doing well physically and mentally.
Her husband’s incompetence, arrogance, short-sightedness, his rage… kind of staggering.

KP is going to bring the whole system down. Not in a glorious firestorm, but in the most pathetic, deflating whimper.

      • Shawna says:

@Delia, all this! Comment of the week

      • Aigroeg says:

My theory is that they used the picture from the baby bank day and used photoshop to change the clothes so people wouldn’t notice.
The absence of big blue is (as said above) because the hand on the girl’s fake cardigan is a mirror of her right hand.
Whichever minion did the photoshop didn’t realize the importance of big blue.
And since they are greedy, the switched her (baby bank day) face for an earlier one.
        Sh*t-show all around!

      • TeamMontecito says:

These people are just gaslighters, they are narcissistic arsonists.

      • julie jules says:

@Agnes Or Japan? Or Sweden? Morocco? There’s something like 40 to 50 nations with monarchies. Pretty sure they’re all “serious”

    • Why are they constantly showing photos of their minor children? Are the children “Working Royals”?

Are the children receiving pay for their images being sold?

Is the money received from these photos being put into a safe trust until they become legally old enough to consent to public photos?

I would argue that it should, because by the royal definition of “work” those children are the hardest working people in the family.

      • Cali says:

Well Harry never got compensated for the many times as a child he was trotted out for the cameras.

    • aftershocks says:

Exactly @Tessa. Those KP fools need to leave Prince Harry, QE-II, and Duchess Meghan out of their Frankenphoto catastrophe ‘complaining and explaining’ attempts. 🙄🤪🤡💩

There is so much wrong with this Roya ‘Enabler’ Nikkah exclusive that I can’t even waste more time debunking the full-on lies contained in this whining morass.

Chef’s Kiss to @Kaiser for that iconic photo of Louis understandably covering Kate’s mouth with his hand as he looks away from her rebelliously. 🤌🏽

I feel for the Cambino Wales kids. May they all be able to overcome the toxicity of the firm some day. 🙏🏽 Shame on their parents for trotting them out so often for photo-ops. WanK and KP, you brought all of this on yourselves. Stop blaming others! 🫷

    • Agreatreckoning says:

The dig at Harry is so funny to me. Stretch Armstrong much.

      Then, later, this gem.
“William and Kate have also been “buoyed” by public support and the sense that “the public sentiment is not the same as on TikTok”.”.

Sooooooo, Will & Co. are obsessively following Tik Tok. Public/global opinion is that Will is an idiot, if not that, than worse.imo

  2. Lizzie Bathory says:

“The royals are at their best when they get on with their job.”

I mean, sure. But William & Kate are NOT getting on with their jobs. If they had done so for years, they’d have a reserve of goodwill to draw upon. That well is dry, which is a big part of why this is such a problem.

    • Eurydice says:

I love the part where they say, “Easter? You thought we meant the religious holiday? No, it’s the school holiday.” And poor William is so exhausted from not obsessively following X/Twitter like his brother Harry, that he has to take that time off, too.

      • Jais says:

They will never set a precedent to do an event during a school holiday. Never. Pretty soon, there will be another 2 months of summer. At best, Kate could do the Easter church walk and then not reappear till after the school holiday for actual events. But I’d be surprised if that happened. Kaiser asked the right question which is why did KP scold the military in regards to trooping. Why wouldn’t she make that event? Unless they’re still not being honest. Which is a given at this point.

    • su si says:

Exactly. Imagine the stupidity and arrogance of these people pontificating about carrying on with their work WHILST informing people about four more weeks of holidays on top of their 19 weeks per year.

      • Sam says:

I thought a divorce was coming? Now apparently Williams camp has leaked that everything is okay?
Does that mean that from April 17th on everything is back in order in the Wales camp and that everything will remain as it was?
The perfect image of Kate in place, copying Meghan’s style, leaking thousands of hateful and jealous articles about Meghan and Harry But everything with more attention (which they had always wanted) due to the whole circus of the last few weeks. They have a lot more insta followers sins the last few days.

    • StillDouchesOfCambridge says:

💯 with @Sam. The fact that they said she was coming back after another vacation is straight up from them cuz nobody knows their schedule know and they made sure any event would be presented by them – so no one would dare – And the dig at Harry is a give away

  3. Jenn says:

Wait, “hardest time”?? “Keep things as normal as possible for the kids”??? How serious IS this??

    • equality says:

Well, previously, Kate said the hardest thing she ever did was walk around greeting the public with H&M present after QE’s death. So this could be a hangnail.

      • Christine says:

A hangnail! This is my new favorite theory. Sounds about right for Kitty.

      • Jenn says:

Ha!! I have no doubt that Kate has a flair for the dramatique, I’m just bewildered at the messages being sent (“Don’t worry! Stop making up absurd stories! This is the most difficult thing they’ve ever experienced and rest assured she is getting the best of care” WHAT)

      • Noodle says:

I once had a hangnail get infected, and it went from infected to visible red veins running up my hand and arm, which was a sign of massive infection. That dang hangnail hurt SO MUCH. My whole finger was huge and it felt like it was going to explode. I went to the ER and they caught it before it went further into my bloodstream so it never went septic, but I was close. Agree that a hangnail is usually not a reason to disappear for 4 months, but it could be serious, is all I’m saying.

    • Andrea says:

Right it sounds so dramatic. My husband had surgery and was off work for 3 months, we have 3 kids who were within the Wales kids age range and they just went about their life, all while I worked. All this “as normal as possible” makes it sound life altering or she has been GONE from the home.

    • Chloe says:

@jenn: probably not so serious at all. Kate just enjoys staying home, not working (which is why she’s taken the most “recovery time”) and being a victim and coddled. She’ll be back after april 17th fresh as a daisy.

      • Purplehazeforever says:

Apparently it’s bowel surgery & it can take up to three months to recover from…

    • Armoire says:

We’re barking at the wrong horse. That good-looking aide of William’s was let go at a very interesting monent, is all I’m gonna say.

  4. Cessily says:

Who haven’t they blamed for their actions now? If they could have produced the original none of this would have happened. The gaslighting is visible once you have been exposed, blaming others isn’t going to work for this.

    • Sketchy says:

I think the reason they won’t release the original is she must look pretty terrible still because all the little edits to the kids aside that is not Kate’s 2024 face. That’s not even her 2023 face. They grabbed a much older photo and don’t want to admit it. To me that’s the biggest issue and it makes the blurring of the hair make sense.

      • ArtHistorian says:

I don’t think that she sat for that photo at all – and that is why they didn’t release the original – because she’s not in it. That image is a fraud and the fact that KP and the BM is underplaying this as a housewife doing a bit of editing to tidy up an image is so condescending and downright insulting! Especially when one of the several news agencies that killed the image is comparing KP with North Korea!

      • Jais says:

Condescending and insulting is absolutely right @arthistorian. KP is scolding the public and the photo agencies. They are still lying when they say it was just a little editing and then scolding anyone who says otherwise. The gaslighting is deeply exhausting. I’m so sick of royal lies and the BM that covers for them.

      • Becks1 says:

@ArtHistorian agree completely. Well almost completely. I think she may be in that picture, but it’s clearly a few months old. Or like you said maybe she’s not in it at all and they just covered that up.

If they can’t release the original, it’s either bc there isn’t an original to release, or because the original has information in it (either the meta data or something in the trees etc) that gives away the date.

Again, as we’ve said before, this isn’t about Kate making minor touch ups to a picture. This is about propaganda.

      • SussexWatcher says:

I think they won’t release the original because it would be clear (from their clothing) that it’s from the same day as the baby bank volunteering video. Hence it’s not current and therefore isn’t verifying Keen’s current good/recovering health (according to them), which was the entire point of the picture. And also then it would be even more clear the Wailses are lying to the press and the public.

The person in the photo is wearing the same pants and boots that Keen wore to the baby bank, so I do think it’s probably her. Maybe? But then why not just leave her face from that day? So maybe she’s wearing glasses or looks old and wrinkled. Or something she doesn’t want the public to see. And why no big blue?!

This is the problem they’ve created! Even mostly innocuous explanations aren’t meeting scrutiny and lead to more questions that can’t be answered.

      • Seraphina says:

I agree with @Arthistorian. She never sat for that pic and I theorize they are just buying time until 04/17 – that is one month away. They are just hoping four weeks will bring on something to distract our attention.

      • Harper says:

Did they just come right out and say they don’t want anyone looking too closely at Keen’s face right now? Whoops! There shouldn’t be anything wrong with her face eight weeks after successful planned abdominal surgery. But persistent rumors of a coma and physical therapy, the TMZ photo where her face was puffy and it looked like what could be but might not be dark patches under her eyes , and a Frankenphoto cut and paste of an eight-year old image of Kate’s face confirm that KP is hiding the truth about her condition.

This Sunday exclusive from Roya is a weak word salad hoping to buy time and calm us nosy truthers until Huevo’s next blunder or Kate finally gets with the program and returns to normal. Which may or may not happen.

      • nic919 says:

I agree with Art Historian. I think the photo never had Kate in it at all, which is why the red flags were raised by the news agencies. The most obvious photo shop issues are all surrounding Kate and her body.

Besides the arrogance of thinking they are above journalistic standards is asotnoshing. They believe they don’t have to provide factual information and the gaslighitng on pretending the changes on the photo are no big deal should make everyone question what other types of deception are going on.

      • Interested Gawker says:

They put her Vogue cover head over somebody else’s body. The surrounding image fails: Oh! Charlotte’s sleeve! Oh! Look at the floor tiles! Oh! Kate’s zipper! Oh! Where’s Big Blue?! What’s with their arms?!- It’s all distraction to keep the eye bouncing away from ‘her’ and paying attention to the fact that Kate hasn’t looked like that for years and the neck is that of a male person, Kate’s neck doesn’t have Adam’s apple bulging forward like that and it makes the proportions of the pasted on face more noticeable the more you tune out the circus around media outlets drawing 6 to 17 wonky circles everywhere on the image except the most obvious place.

      • Nic919 says:

I wouldn’t be shocked that the original photo was William with the kids and they tried to add Kate in there. Someone commented that George looked a bit off in terms of how he was leaning in.

      • @Interested Gawker -yes even the media replying to it are minimizing it.

The glaring issue is that is her head is from a Vogue cover taken 8 years ago. It has been pixel for pixel placed on an image that KP are selling as a photo taken by her loving husband to celebrate Mother’s Day.

      • Mairzy Doats says:

I also doubt that is K’s current face. And what a screwed up thing to do to the kids publishing a photo altered from the reality they experienced when it was taken. It’s one thing to trot them out for photo shoot — wave to crowd and then we’ll ski — but gaslighting children’s memories is abusive.

      • Interested Gawker says:

        @MAIRZY DOATS
I 100% agree, it’s abusive to their children to have to co -sign this fraud. They had no choice and did not consent to this. I howled with laughter at an animated version of this photo that had them singing together and then felt dreadful over it, the children didn’t deserve being dragged into this mess.

      • TuxieCat5 says:

There is no original. A photograph expert at MIT said this image is basically a “collage”; it’s a bunch of pieces taken/cut/copied from other images and pasted together to make a new image.

This isn’t actually a photograph, in the true sense of the word; it’s a collage of pieces of photos put together to create an image that *looks like* a photograph. This “sitting” never happened.

Let’s say I create a “photo” (image) of myself chatting with the late Queen at a State Banquet by copying/cutting pieces of photographs of the Queen, myself, and State Banquets, and paste them together via Photoshop. I post it to social media, and people find out it’s a “heavily manipulated” image and demand that I post the original. I can’t post the original, because there isn’t one; the event depicted in the image I posted never happened, so a photograph was never actually taken. This is exactly what is going on with the Mother’s Day “photo” that KP released to the press. It’s fiction.

KP committed fraud in the true sense of the word. That’s why this is such a big deal, and that’s why KP is trying desperately to get people to forget about it. The (future) Head of State of the United Kingdom committed fraud against the international community. This is very, very bad.

      • Shawna says:

And don’t forget that someone with recent abdominal surgery isn’t wearing skinny jeans and hiking boots and sitting in a hard chair with her kids putting pressure on her all around. That isn’t something I’ve seen commented on outside of Celebitchy.

      • julie jules says:

@Arthistorian yep. They can’t release the original because there is no original.
This wasn’t photoshopped. This was AI created from the ground up.

      • Agreatreckoning says:

@Shawna, good point. It’s subsided now, was having “abdominal” issues for two weeks. Details not needed.-per Kensington Palace. Didn’t have “surgery”. The bathroom was my frenemy. I couldn’t sit on anything that wasn’t cushioned. Standing or laying flat on my back were the most comfortable positions. Fortunately, my work/business, allows me a certain amount of latitude. Still worked.

My fake face didn’t always work. The issues didn’t stop me from appearing in public.

Agree with ArtHistorian. KP won’t produce the original because an original real time photo doesn’t exist.

    • Eurydice says:

At this point, they’re trying to gaslight the whole planet. The desperation reeks.

      • Her husband blamed her for a crap photoshop job on a photo that he released to the press under his name.

The world “believes” his press statement and now Kate is in a world of deep doggie doo of her husband’s making.

People, she did not photoshop that photo, even that level of shopping requires a somewhat professional user of the Adobe product

      • Eurydice says:

@Pinniped and Poodle – I think it’s the opposite. The world doesn’t believe Will’s statement or Kate’s apology or that Kate photoshopped the photo. That’s why we’re getting unhinged ranting like this – about how professional photo agencies are hypocrites for having standards, how social media isn’t “people,” how the Wales are just a poor little family, huddled together against the big, bad world. And let’s all rally around fairy princess Kate and forget that the ogre is actually her husband who threw her under the bus in the first place. They can keep ranting, but nobody believes it.

      • aftershocks says:

^^ Right @Eurydice. The crap about Willy being upset for Kate “having to go through all this with her recovery and having to think about making statements” to excuse her photo faux pas, 🤦‍♀️ is such a dumb attempt at gaslighting the public. Anyone with common sense who has been following the royal scene knows W&K do not get along, period. We also realize that Kate was thrown under the bus for the fiasco in order to protect Willy!

Having Nikkah do all this posturing and dissembling to further cover up the truth, is not gonna work. Their so-called ‘public support’ is surely coming from royalists who want to be fooled and are eager to continue buying and swallowing the royal kool-aid.

“William and Kate have also been ‘buoyed’ by public support…” 🙄

Yeah sure. I bet they are feeling peachy keen about their sycophant British subjects. 🤥 🤞🤞🤞🫣🫣🫣

      • Agreatreckoning says:

Exactly @Eurydice. The world does not believe the story William/KP are trying to tell. EVERYTHING they do/done is being questioned. As well as it should be. This whole sh*tshow is entertaining to watch, and, in real time, the world is seeing how the British Media/BRF covers up crap and smear.

Lol, prominent agencies are hypocrites because they’re questioning a very obvious photo lie. Uh huh.

I hope this stops global news presses sharing any photo of THAT “family”.

Would also like the news agencies to question and ask for the original of every picture released over the last 3 years of her life. Pretty sure there was at least one instance where QE2 was shown tooling about in winter when the trees in the background were obviously fall trees.

    • Mrs.Krabapple says:

This article is doubling, tripling, and quadrupling down on blaming Kate for the fake photo.

  5. ML says:

The Guardian published this article, and in it there’s an altered photo with QE2. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2024/mar/17/people-question-everything-now-how-kates-photo-scandal-rips-up-the-rules-for-royals-and-the-media
Clearly, the royals have been illegally altering pictures for a very long time and this, no matter what spin Roya Nikkhah and the rest want to do to make this disappear, they can’t.

    • equality says:

A lot of people on here were already calling that one out as photoshopped. Interestingly, it was supposedly taken by Kate. The way they are posed without touching each other, they could have all been added in.

      • su si says:

It does look like one or more kid has been added in. That means the parents of the other knew of the photoshopping all along.

      • kirk says:

equality – you’re right that a “lot of people on here were already calling that one out as photoshopped.” The Guardian is correct in saying that image didn’t matter as much as the proof-of-life Frankenphoto because it didn’t have the same news value. But the Guardian is absolutely incorrect in saying Frankenphoto “could change [royals] relationship with the media for ever” because it already has changed the relationship with international photo agencies. UK media might still accept Kate’s photo handouts uncritically, but the rest of the world won’t. • windyriver says:

So they did fill that new executive position at KP? Linked In shows Sean Carney’s position is COO in The Household of TRH The Prince and Princess of Wales and the starting date was Oct 2023. Three new people with impressive qualifications at KP and things seem worse than ever.

      • Amy Bee says:

According to the press the CEO position hasn’t been filled yet.

      • windyriver says:

I’m going by what the Guardian says in the article above. “Prince William has recently appointed Sean Carney in the newly created role of chief executive…” So Carney’s actually been at KP for a few months already, though apparently now moved to the CEO position.

      • Elizabeth says:

On LinkedIn, he’s listed as COO, not CEO. I wonder if he’s American since he attended undergrad and law school in the States.

      • BeanieBean says:

@Elizabeth: and the original job announcement said COO as well. For whatever reason–general incompetency–the DM et al., wrote about this as a CEO position & everybody ran with it. But you & @windyriver are right, it’s COO.

      • windyriver says:

@BeanieBean – thanks for the clarification about how the original position was advertised. Don’t exactly understand what his job responsibilities are, why he was needed…

But look at Carney’s qualifications! Lawyer, degree in economics from Harvard, former top positions with financial firms. How much are these people being paid – including the private secretaries Ian Patrick and Tom White – for less and less work by the principals over time (even before the current crisis), and piss poor handling of what’s going on now. I’ve said the same thing about the head of the Royal Foundation, which likewise is doing little of particular note. After 20+ years as CEO of BAFTA, Amanda Berry didn’t come cheap, and I’m sure Jason Knauf before her was being well compensated for all his slimy activities behind the scenes. Unbelievable.

    • Eurydice says:

So, The Guardian is saying the original of the Frankenphoto was saved on the camera? How do they know that? And if it was saved, why won’t KP release it?

    • Shawna says:

Even that piece goes light on them and minimizes the amount of malarkey involved. They are really tiptoeing around.

    • Andrea says:

Wow that guardian article was from a bootlicker… https://x.com/vanessathorpe/status/1769286727032533289?s=20

    • Photoshop is THE most complicated and difficult piece of software I have ever used and I am a software engineer who helps develop large commercial software applications for a living.

It requires months of day long training to become professional at it.

There is NO way she is the photoshopper of the KP photos, even the basic level of skill displayed there would require a level of training greater than her art history degree did.

There is a reason that people who really know how to use photoshop are paid the big bucks.

That KP is too cheap to hire a decent photoshop professional surprises no one.

That they would throw “C” under the bus and claim that she is the one who does their photoshopping is absurd.

      • Elizabeth says:

Kate supposedly took a year-long photography course after college and took photos for the Party Pieces website so that she could have taken a Photoshop class at some point. My point is she would have done a much better job. I think it was someone in the KP office who did it.

      • Agnes says:

P&P: Yes, absolutely. I know someone who teaches it in the Art Department of a university, and she has to learn it all over again herself whenever Adobe updates, which is frequently. It’s insanely complex.

      • @Elizabeth – If she took a course in Microsoft Word back then I might expect her to still be able to create a basic document using it.

There is no way her Uni had an Adobe Photoshop class, that would have been the hardest class in semester and no way princessing 101 includes hard work on computer apps.

Even if it had, Photoshop is famous for completely changing their graphical interface with every release. So, no way she picked up some skillz and is just winging it with the modern version of photoshop

      • Mairzy Doats says:

If she uses editing software it’s more likely to be Adobe Lightroom software which allows for editing exposure, contrasts, color tone, etc. It’s great for touching up a photo, lighting up a face that was caught in shadow, etc. , but not used for cutting and pasting images in and out of a picture. Easier than Photoshop.

      • Nic919 says:

Kate isn’t the brightest and even if she did take a photoshop course in the mid 2000s the software would have changed so much in almost 20 years.

William likely got one of staff buddies to do something and then blamed Kate thinking she might not get push back since she’s the one off sick.

    • Jaded says:

I watched a really interesting Lucy Worsley program last night on how the royal families have been doctoring photos since the Victoria and Albert days. During the Russian revolution photos of Lenin were doctored to show his *BFF* Stalin in many photographs, crowd sizes were greatly exaggerated. This is nothing new, only this time the level of photoshopping has gone to extremes as a coverup to whatever it was that caused Kate’s disappearance — DV, divorce, a mistress, an illegitimate baby — it will all come out in the end. Too many people know what’s going on and will eventually spill.

      • Please tell me that there is historical protocol: “And it was written that the doctoring shall ALWAYS be done by the Queen in waiting!!”

I might almost swallow that if Lucy Worsley says it.

      • SarahCS says:

Ooh I’ll be looking for that later, I’ve really enjoyed the various things I’ve seen her do.

    • Lulu says:

Does anyone remember the pic of C&C and W&K shortly after QEII died, they are lined up and William elbows are in front of Charles and Kate but his feet aer either behind them or floating? Pretty sure William was totally added in. Kates arm is at an odd angle unless they left a space for adding him in and Kates hand is resting on the rail behind.

      • Interested Gawker says:

Yes! William, at least, was added after the fact in that photo. Looking from his feet to his shoulder he’s just stuffed in there in the strangest way. Their black clothing camouflages the weirdness.

      • Christine says:

Yeah, that was the new, new, new Fab Four propaganda, and photoshopped to hell.

      • SueBarbri33 says:

Off the top of my head, they also seemed to have photoshopped William, George, and Charles into those post-coronation photos last year. There are many other examples, but that picture was so poor that it sticks out to me even now.

      • Shawna says:

I don’t know why some news outlet isn’t chomping at the bit to produce a massive expose with a whole carousel of faked photos. *tapping my foot*

  6. Brassy Rebel says:

I’m still in stitches over Wiglet Christ Superstar. 😆😂🤣

And, yes, the self pity is dripping from every word of this. The announcement that they’re just going to continue on with the lies, the non-transperency, and the entitlement would be breathtaking coming from anyone else. But from them? To be expected. I mean we all knew we weren’t going to get an apology and a vow to change their ways and do better in the future. And we still have no idea what’s going on.

    • Noodle says:

That was the best part for me. I’m going to have it as an ear worm today.

    • Bklne says:

      • Bklne says:

Thanks, Brassy Rebel and Interested Gawker! And yes, totally, both on this one and “Herod’s Song” from the other day, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice had already done most of the work for me! 🤣 Kaiser lit the spark, and the edits from me are just my St. Patrick’s Day gift to the BRF.

Póg mo thóin, all ye Windsors, and by the way, Andrew still owes the US DOJ an explanation of a few things – wouldn’t want y’all to forget!

This one’s for @Interested Gawker, bc she requested William as Judas –

Setting: Kate and Carole in a five-wheeled rental Audi

Carole: 🎼🎵 Try not to get worried, try not to turn on to problems that upset you… You know everything’s alright now, everything’s fine, and we want you to sleep well tonight, Let the world turn without you tonight,
If we try we’ll get by so forget all about us tonight.

(Chorus: Everything’s alright yes, everything’s alright yes 🎶…)

Sleep and I shall soothe you, calm you and anoint you, Botox for your forehead,
Then you’ll feel everything’s alright yes, everything’s fine, and it’s cool and the fillers fresh, for the wrinkles in your face and neck
Close your eyes, close your eyes and relax, think of nothing tonight.

Bulliam: He-he-hey woman, your fine wiglets, brand new and expensive, should have been blended some more! Why have they been wasted? We could have fooled maybe seventeen people, or more! Royalists on Twitter, and Jeremy Clarkson – they matter more than your face and hair! 🎶🎵

Carole: 🎼🎵 Try not to get worried, try not to turn on to problems that upset you… You know everything’s alright yes, everything’s alright yes …

Wiglet: Surely you’re not saying we have the resources to save the press from their lot? That’s life in the rota, pathetically struggling – let me give them Photoshop! Crop from the Vogue cover, move part of this sweater … they’ll be lost, and they’ll be sorry when I’m GO-O-OONE!!! 🎶🎵🎶

Carole: Sleep and I shall soothe you, calm you and anoint you, Botox for your forehead,
Then you’ll feel everything’s alright yes, everything’s fine, and it’s cool and the fillers fresh, for the wrinkles in your face and neck
Close your eyes, close your eyes and relax, think of nothing tonight …

Is there a Celebitchy Hall of Fame? If not, we should start one and BKLNE’s rendition of Wiglet Christ Superstar should be the first inductee.

      • Bklne says:

Hey, all, apologies, I thought of a late edit to Bulliam’s verse:

“We could have fooled maybe two or three people, or more! Royalists on Twitter, and Daily Fail readers …”

🎼🎶🎵 Rota: What’s the buzz? Tell me what’s-a-happenin’ (Repeat under verses)

Wiglet: Why should you want to know?
Don’t you mind about the future?
Don’t you try to think ahead?
        Save tomorrow for tomorrow;
        Think about today instead.

Rota: What’s the buzz? Tell me what’s-a-happenin’ (Repeat under verses, with JAZZ HANDS 👐👐👐)

Wiglet: I could give you facts and details
Even give you plans and forecasts
Even tell you where I’m hiding

Rota: 🎵🎶When will you walk to church at Sandringham? (Repeat under verses 👐👐👐)

Wiglet: Why should you want to know?
Why are you obsessed with sighting
What my face looks like right now?
If you knew the truth I’m hiding
Your eyes would bleed and we’d go down

Rota: 🎵🎶 What’s the buzz? Tell me what’s-a-happenin’ (Repeat 4x, with JAZZ HANDS 👐👐👐)

Carole: Let me try to cool down your face a bit (Repeat 5x)

Wiglet: 🎶 Mummy, mmmn, that is good!
While you pummel me with questions,
“Where?” and “when?” and “who?” and “how?”
She alone has tried to give me
What I need right here and now

Rota: 🎵🎶 What’s the buzz? Tell me what’s-a-happenin’ (Repeat 12x, with JAZZ HANDS 👐👐👐)

Bulliam: 🎼🎵 It seems to me a strange thing, mystifying, that a prince like me should waste his time on a woman of her kind.

Yes, I can understand that she amuses, but to let her goose me and flip her hair, it’s hardly worth my time.

It’s not that I object to her work ethic, but she doesn’t fit in well with who I want to be.
It doesn’t help us that I’m inconsistent,
But the problem’s always her, it’s never, ever me!

Carole: 🎵 Who are you to criticize her?
Who are you to despise her?
Leave, or leave her! Let her be now!
Leave, or leave her, she’s with me now!

Wiglet: 🎶 If your slate is clean, then you can throw stones,
If your slate is not, then LEAVE ME ALONE!

(And here’s the original, because, like Misan Harriman, I’m willing to provide it for comparison 😜)

‘but sh*t, bots are 99 cents’.

Is that your grandmainlaws coat? Not good at this. There is potential.

Anyhow, brilliant work. And, agree, the FBI/DOJ are very open to a conversation with Andrew.

  7. sevenblue says:

I found the agencies hypocritical too. K&W sent a lot of photos before, clearly altered beyond a few touch ups. The most recent one was their christmas photo, that looked like a photo from a true crime series. The hypocrisy is that they should have killed other photos too. On the other hand, the BM and the palace treated this photo as the “look, she is alive and looks younger than ever” photo. So, I understand why the agencies were more careful with this one.

    • Andrea says:

This Mother’s Day photo involved cloning. Quite different from the Christmas disaster.

      • sevenblue says:

@Andrea, if you search for christmas photo article on this blog, you are gonna see a lot of comments speculating about cloning. I remember, there were some comments saying Will’s head looked strange, like someone stood in his place and Will’s face was added later to the photo. I don’t think this is the first time they cloned people, that’s why they didn’t expect the agencies to reject it. They got away with it in the past because KP was a trusted source and there was no public speculation about a missing princess.

    • Amy Bee says:

The guy from the French photo agency admitted that they hadn’t followed their own guidelines when they got photos from KP in the past and they will tighten up their procedures.

      • BeanieBean says:

So is this KPs backhanded way of outing themselves? Acknowledging they’ve photoshopped the crap out of previous photos & the agencies never said anything, so why now? Verrrry interestink!

      • Shawna says:

I’d understand if they hadn’t treated it as “news” per se before. Now they have to.

      • TeamMontecito says:

I think there is something more egregious about the doctoring, but Agence France is electing not to say. I, too, suspect she’s not in the original photo. I’ve been a US government press officer/public information officer and worked in broadcast news (production and editorial), so both sides of the coin. Lying is just something you don’t do. No reporter or wire service wants to be burned by a source like this, and no institution, like KP, should be arrogant enough to lie to their favoured outlets, then impugn the media when they’re caught. These news agencies disseminate historical records as facts, not palace propaganda. These people are not Hollywood celebrities; King Charles is the head of effing state — a democratic one, not Russia or China. So, this deception is a big deal. Once you lie to the public as a head of state or government, the trust is just so irreparably undermined, there’s no way back. To that end, I can’t believe Charles has not intervened and taken over KP ops. He is either so weak or is getting awful advice.

    • SussexWatcher says:

I’m so curious to see what comes out of several news agencies saying they’re going to do a full review of all the KP photos they’ve received in the past. Hopefully they’ll come out with a big article going over each and every one that they’ve found to have been altered. Blow this shit up!!

Pegs and Keen (and Chuckles and his mistress queen) may still have full control over the UK press but I want the rest of the world to start being more transparent and calling them out on all of their lies and dirty deeds.

    • nic919 says:

One of the earliest photos accused of being photoshopped was a family one before Louis was born and Charlotte looked like a floating baby. It was handwaved away because “babies are tricky in photos” but it also made them comfortable with seriously altering photos.

      • sevenblue says:

@nic919, Apparently, they never admitted the photo editing there. They were treating the public like idiots forever, lying so nonchalantly. If the agencies didn’t issue a kill notice, I believe they wouldn’t admit this one either.

    • Proud Mary says:

I’m sorry, but I think your choice of word “hypocrisy” is wrong. careless, or gullible, is probably more apt. I think we in the western world tend to believe that our institutions are above board, compared to Iran or other hermit despot-cracy, such as NK. That’s why those of us who’ve been calling out the lies and distortions for years, have been labeled conspiracy theorists. Institutions like the British Monarchy and the US Whitehouse, are supposed to be pristine. Interesting that its William and Donald Trump who have done the most to undermine belief in those hierarchies.

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

sevenblue, there was no hypocrisy. The photo agencies were clear that a NEWS photo that had been manipulated because the news story was ‘proof of life’ of Bone Idle–which that photo did not do. Everyone forgets that this wasn’t a picture for the entertainment section, this was a photo for the news. I understand why they were all angry about this, especially in this time when disinformation in the news is rampant.

I suggest that the brf are careful in future about what they do to photos. It seems I remember someone here saying people include their original photo along with the photoshopped ones to the photo agencies. KP refused to give out the original photo.

The brf did this to themselves. The photo agencies weren’t doing their due diligence. They will be now.

      • sevenblue says:

@Saucy&Sassy, what I am saying, there are a lot of pics that came from KP, clearly altered in the same way. Do you remember the photo of QE2 with all her (white) grandchildren? I think, Kate took that one. It was a news photo and Louis was clearly added later to the photo, the direction of the light on his hair was different. That wasn’t just a pic for instagram. So, I think, the other photos with clear editing should have been rejected by the news agencies before. It is irresponsible for them to wait for a missing princess scandal to apply their standards to the palace photos.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

sevenblue, I think they’ll all be doing their due diligence now. I have a feeling that they’ll be looking at every photo they get from anyone in future. I suspect that there is no longer a trusted source.

I agree that they should have been doing this all along.

  8. Em says:

Few things in roya’s exclusive stood out to me

    1. “A friend insists there was nothing sinister in Kate’s editing, just a desire to project the polished image that the public has come to expect from the couple”

When will Kate and William understand that no one cares and no one expects a polished images from them? Kate has been married into the royal family for over a decade and still can’t shake off that “imposter syndrome” so she overcompensates and micromanages everything from her clothes / hair / makeup/ how she and her children pose for the camera etc. that’s a very pathetic and sad life to live because that way you can never be free, you’re always on edge and very likely to breakdown.

2 “ They’re not like [Prince] Harry, obsessing and scrolling through Twitter, but they know it has broken through.”

Kate and William don’t know this but they are deeply mentally broken and completely obsessed with Harry and Meghan, it eats them deep in their core and I’m sure they spend every waking moment thinking about them, they’re a royal personification of the trolls on social media unable to quit Meghan and Harry and this will spill to how they raise their children, also the absolutely scroll Twitter, they even have a couple of troll accounts that they manage personally.

    3. “ the public sentiment is not the same as on TikTok”. On Tuesday, the Buckingham Palace switchboard “rang off the hook” with messages of support for them. “

The general public doesn’t care, they don’t get it! Equating max 100 messages of support from a country of 60 million people doesn’t mean people care, perhaps more people would have cared if they planned out their PR, but the whole fiasco has delved into gossip, no amount of paid for # on X , supportive columns from the scum at daily mail, falsified polls will change that

    • Christine says:

I’m cackling that their “modern royals” defense boils down to “but y’all didn’t see our landline blow up! SEE, EVERYONE STILL LOVES US!!!!!”

      • ML says:

🤣Yes touting your landline credentials over that of the internet is certainly a choice!👍

      • Jais says:

The landline was full bc royal reporters were calling to get info from the palace. I’m sure they were obsequiously wishing them well at the same time. Honestly, Arthur Edwards probably called at least 10 times.

      • Agnes says:

Hahaha! Sure, sure. And you know the only age group that would call a landline (from their own landline) are in the over 70 crowd. Our eyes have been open since the Meghan-bashing began, but one can only hope the rest of the world now sees how self-congratulatory and whiny every.single.word coming out of KP is. I’m sure Ian Patrick fits right into that culture.

      • Roo says:

Christine, I read your funny comment out to my husband (who has unwillingly been involved in my obsession) and he laughed and said “you should have heard everyone on the party line” and “our answering machine was full of good wishes.” LOL

      • Shawna says:

And if y’all could read Morse code, you wouldn’t believe how much support is coming through the telegraph!

    • Chrissie T says:

      Excellent summary. 💯

    • Amy Bee says:

EM: I totally agree. The part about Kate wanting to ensure that she put a polished struck me as weird. For all this talk about Kate coming into her own, growing in confidence and having a steely spine don’t ring true if shes believes that the public wanted a perfect photo. It also confirms that she was extremely threatened by Meghan.

      • nic919 says:

Kate obsesses over her image except for the times she decides to openly snub or physically intimidate Meghan in full public view. when she sees her sister in law she has rage issues that no other royal has shown in public.

      • Agnes says:

Nobody would give a flying f if she had a puffy face and bags under her eyes if she looked happy to be alive. She never does though.

  9. Shawna says:

Calling the photo agencies hypocritical is not going to take their heat off you! The opposite.

They knew the public would pore over the picture? The only did because it was faked.

Major eye roll in bringing in Harry. Of course William can’t resist.

    • nic919 says:

This is from the Trump handbook to blame the official entity just doing their job and they get called out for deception.

This should be a huge concern for everyone facing WIlliam as future head of state. They are acting like Trump in terms of deception and they won’t ever leave their position.

      • Shawna says:

“the official entity just doing their job” – exactly. It crosses the line from absurd to chilling that way.

      • aftershocks says:

“Major eye roll in bringing in Harry. Of course William can’t resist.”

^^ Exactly @Shawna. The fact is the dig about Harry “obsessively scrolling Twitter,” also simply proves that Willy is still stuck-in-the-past, viewing Harry as his lowly, needy wingman spare. The younger ‘goof-off,’ hardworking bro Willy hid behind and took for granted. Willy’s continued pissy anger against Harry proves that Willy never really knew Harry then, and he definitely doesn’t know the grownup family man Harry, the courageous warrior who will do whatever it takes to protect his wife and children!

Montecito Harry is busy and unbothered, Willy. 🫡 Harry has dealt with his demons, and he’s far surpassed you and his younger existence. The Ginger Prince has attained self-knowledge, inner peace, and success in life.

    • Agnes says:

I’m sure Bill and his buddy Jason are behind 95% of the deranger accounts on Twitter.

    • Yes, and now they will double-down, saying that all the previously released badly shopped images were done by Kate as well, so blame her not Will or the KP staff.

Folks, it wasn’t her, that is a VERY complicated piece of software, there is no way she is proficient enough to produce those images.

      • Jais says:

Okay, so you’re saying the software is too complicated for Kate. But looking at past photos, they’ve also been edited or photoshopped and Kate put her name to them. I can’t say whether she was the one editing them, but either way, she would know that the photo she took and put her name to was changed. I’m talking about past photos. She was good with being lauded as a keen photographer even though she had to know that some of the photos attributed to her were being manipulated. Whether you her or someone else. That’s still being part of a system that lies to the public for propaganda purposes. And it’s coming back to bite her.

      • @Jais – the software is so complicated that KP doesn’t have the collective brainpower to look at the finished image and know if it was a good photoshop job, much less create it themselves.

“Okay, so you’re saying the software is too complicated for Kate. But looking at past photos, they’ve also been edited or photoshopped and Kate put her name to them”

They are lying. They have always been lying.

Knowing how cheap they are they have always been outsourcing the photoshopping of the images that they sell.

They won’t even pay market rate. A decent photoshop shop would have produced an image that would not have caused this concern

      • Nic919 says:

Kate and William put their names every day to statements they never wrote or speeches they never wrote. They are totally fine taking credit for things like photos except of course when the photo is exposed as a total fraud.

      • Jais says:

Yes, I get that they’re lying. My point is that at some point Kate has been absolutely fine with the lying. She knew that the pics she put her name to were photoshopped. And she was complicit in that. She didn’t mind the good press that called her a keen photographer for a photo of the queen with her grandchildren. She may be thrown under the bus for the latest photo but she was a part of the complicity of the older photos whether she personally photoshopped them or not.

      • Shawna says:

@pinniped – “A decent photoshop shop would have produced an image that would not have caused this concern:” Their staffers are notoriously poorly paid because the toffier ones don’t really need the money, and the rest can use the references (“exposure”). But the photo fakers can’t put it in their porfolios, right? Yet like you say, they probably aren’t paid what they’re worth. Voila!

  10. Water Lilly says:

“In Kate’s case, there is almost nobody else in the world whose face, body, clothes are more judged than hers.“

“Almost” is doing a lot of heavy lifting in this statement…

  11. Kokiri says:

Of course she’s a show pony! They all are!

That’s the deal. The get millions in clothes, travel, palaces, absolutely anything & everything they could ever want.
In return they give “service”. So like, being seen is about what they all actually do.
If they can’t even do that, what’s the point of them?

    • sevenblue says:

What did they say to Meghan? “We pay, you pose”. It sounds like the BM sees them as a “show pony”.

    • Mrs Robinson says:

That jumped out at me too. And that they expect to taking their children’s spring holiday as their own is of course a given. They really do think of themselves as the same as the aristos who they surround themselves with who don’t have to work.
Show ponies are a much better value than this lot!

    • nic919 says:

Hillary Mantel called her out for being a show pony back in 2011 and Kate has done nothing to change that because she makes sure to spend a ton of money on clothes every single year, but she barely speaks. And when her sister in law came into the picture she made sure to get the media to attack Meghan for daring to use her voice.

So no pity here. She has fully embraced the show pony aspect and offers nothing else anyway.

  12. equality says:

“There is almost nobody else in the world whose face, body, clothes are more judged than hers”? Try your sil, Kate, the one you helped slam and who was constantly being accused of breaking royal “protocol” with anything she wore or did while you had praise heaped on you for everything. Give me a break.

    • aftershocks says:

Nikkah/ KP: “The speculation around their marriage is just cruel.”

Orly 🤔 Hmm… Actually Willy & Catherine, your jealous, bitter aiding & abetting, and leaking to the BM for their 24/7 attacks and smearing against Meghan & Harry is worse than cruel. It is epically disgusting and destructive. Your mean, petty behaviors are unforgivingly harmful, and have become boomerangs.

  13. Tessa says:

They are not going to be rushed. They have said this for many years and they continue to be workshy

    • BeanieBean says:

I’m reminded of the time Kate skipped out on the Irish Guards event, the one that had had a female member of the BRF attend every year for 100+ years, saying they didn’t want people to EXPECT to see her every year. Right. She doesn’t want the peasants to expect her to do this sh*t every year for pity’s sake! These are the obligations of life, showing up, doing your job, day in, day out, year round. That’s adulting. Try it sometime, Katiekins.

    • aftershocks says:

Yeah right @Tessa. Says Nikkah/ KP: “They’re not going to be rushed.” Plus, Willy’s new private secretary, Ian, “is a fabulous hit in the household… He’s been calm [and] very clear about not reacting to everything.” 😜

Meanwhile, KP rushed into over-reacting to public scrutiny by creating and releasing to media outlets the endlessly damaging Frankenphoto. KP could have simply wished everyone a Happy Mother’s Day in a few words with an admitted old photo of Kate without the children (to avoid exposing them during a difficult time). Or, simply extended Mother’s Day greetings without any photos at all!

The so-called ‘household hit’ may soon find his awesome self out of a job. That is if he doesn’t wake up and smell the ‘roses’ and resign first before he’s tanked. 🤨

    • Mrs.Krabapple says:

I don’t think Kate will be working any time soon. I am more and more convinced that she had a stroke or some complication from surgery that requires speech and/or physical therapy. The uncertain date of her return is because they are evaluating what she is capable of. My money is on Kate making an “appearance” where she is sitting or doing nothing and they will be allowed to photograph her from afar, but she won’t speak. They won’t let her speak until they’re sure she no longer sounds lime she had a stroke.

  14. Jan says:

KP cannot put the Genie back in the bottle.
A writer from NY Times was on X talking about going down the rabbit hole with the botched picture.
Triple the people watched Harry’s video at the Diana Awards as opposed to Cain’s live appearance, remember how the BP made such a big deal that Cain was leaving before Harry appeared, a good thing he did, the young people went wild when Harry appeared.

  15. Olivia says:

It’s far bigger than a little cropping and color correcting. It’s about publishing an image of an experience that never existed, and passing off fiction as fact.

It’s also about whether KP has copyright to use those images, let alone manipulate and publish them while crediting someone else.

The other weird thing is, Kate (in her own words) is a ‘hands on mom’ and keen photographer that has a public history in capturing photos of/with her children.

So why was it necessary to frankenshop the Mother’s day image? The real Kate would have about a million snaps on her laptop ready to go at any moment.

Wherever Kate is, it doesn’t apear William has access to her or her things.

    • windyriver says:

I’m really really curious about the fact that the photo was credited to a Canon 5D Mark IV. That was a well regarded, high end, popular camera among pros, still used by some. It’s also quite old, came out in 2016, one of the last great SLR’s before the rise of mirrorless cameras. With all the fancy new mirrorless cameras the last few years, if Kate had that camera I’d be surprised if she was still using it herself (there’s a picture from a few years ago of Kate holding a camera, and it’s a Fujifilm mirrorless). The only way I could see Will capable of using it for a picture is if it was set up by someone else, and Will pressed the cable release. IMO that “someone” wouldn’t be Kate – the hallmark of her photos is a depth of field that’s way too shallow, so while the background is blurred, so are portions of the main subject. That’s not the case here. Between the camera used and quality of the base photo, I’m suspecting it was a pro shot, or taken by someone else very good – who apparently didn’t mind it being used in this fiasco.

      • Jks says:

WindyRiver, thanks for your input. Very interesting! I have seen several professional photographers saying there’s no way Will took that base photo. He’s never been known to have photo skills.

The real photographer may have assigned the copyright and signed an NDA with KP but has moral rights, rights to not have their original work butchered, and rights of attribution- right to be identified as the author that is inalienable. Good photographers have a reputation to protect. I can’t imagine he or she would be happy to have their work manipulated and turned into a frankenphoto fiasco in this way.

      • Interested Gawker says:

They acknowledged the photographer in the body of the article but Vogue did credit copyright to KP for those pics at that time.

    • Libra says:

“An image of an experience that never existed ” is a fact that all the U.K. papers choose to ignore, citing only “minor adjustments”. Reuters would never kill a photo without very good reason. It was an alleged actual face transplant which no one chooses to admit.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Libra, as I said above, the agencies all said that the photo was for a news story and not for the entertainment section. This was supposed to be a ‘proof of life’ photo, and because of all of the questions globablly it became a news story. That’s why the photo agencies were angry. They are already worrying about AI and then they get something like this that someone is passing off as newsworthy?

  16. Jes says:

They have (unwittingly) externalized their most personal and secret internal insecurities and fears so thoroughly in all of their actions since 2016. I think only Trump is comparable. If they ever realized it Im not sure they could recover. Probably this is why they wont allow their brains to go there and therefore cant change.

  17. Lynwall says:

Well…the best they can hope for is to change the narrative in Britain. Unfortunately for them this won’t change the way they are now perceived by everyone else.
The difference in the way Meghan was treated is also clear to everyone but them.

  18. More yada yada Can’t is great. MIGHT tell the truth about what’s wrong with her. Social media is cruel funny how it wasn’t cruel to Meg. Just more white washing of a totally f**ked up situation. They decided to bring the squirt gun to the wildfire they lit with the secrecy over what has really happened. They will just continue to lie

    • Shawna says:

Keen on planning to maybe be open later! Same as it ever was. Empty promises. And here we thought we weren’t in for the annual spring keenery of promises to work!

A keenery of promises. Going to stick with that collective noun.

      • BeanieBean says:

Always telling us what they’re going to do, instead of just doing it. And when they don’t do whatever they said they were going to do, no explanations. Apparently we peasants don’t deserve explanations.

      • Shawna says:

@BeanieBean, why make good on your promises when you can just make new ones?

      • aftershocks says:

Exactly @Beaniebean! 💯 WanK and KP engage in way too much telling us stuff via their silent contract with the BM. Too much tell, not enough show! And thus, no results nor any relevant successes.

  19. Royal Downfall Watchee says:

Hi there. First time commenter but looong time reader and admirers of this blog and all your fabulous comments!

Question: speaking of Frankenphotos….does anyone think these two actually loved each other at one point? I have never gotten the feeling that there was anything “there there”. It’s sad but also so bizarre. Like their whole marriage is a Frankenphoto. The monarchy itself is a Frankenphoto of what they think the people want to see, what the people actually want to see, and a smoke screen for what it really is.

I mean compare this to anything the Sussex’s do and the authenticity dichotomy is off the charts. One couple is electric and real and dedicated to their causes and the other is just an illusion. Gives me the creeps.

    • ArtHistorian says:

Well, Will and Kate’s wedding is probably the coldest wedding I’ve ever seen. Not a lot of love there.

      • ML says:

That was one of the least passionate kisses I’ve ever seen.

      • Jais says:

Well, Harry also let us know that William reeked of liquor on the way to the church.

      • BeanieBean says:

And Kate saying to William after they got into the carriage, ‘are you happy now?’ Which says to me he spent a lot of time being ‘unhappy’–probably in a rage fest over something or other, the uniform he had to wear, etc.

    • No there was no love on Pegs part. He wanted an aristocrat but they wouldn’t have him so Can’t was always their doing her best to catch him and the crown. She was called the mattress by his friends. He settled and married her and continues to treat her like dirt in public by not letting her touch him without him giving her a dirty look. This was no love story. She knew what she was getting.

    • Christine says:

I’m with you, I think they only ever tolerated each other, and even that ended years ago. They briefly got punch-drunk when they united to abuse the Sussexes out of the country, but that’s it.

      • Royal Donwnfall Watcher says:

Thank you all so much! I agree with all of you. Looking at their photos it just seems….empty….like when they touch it is unnatural. I have been with my husband for about 15 years and we still lean into one another, smile at one another and touch each other willingly. There is a natural ease between people who have been together for so long and also love one another and I just….have never seen that with Bill and Cathy. Then again, neither seems to have anything remotely resembling life-skills, interests, hobbies, or drive, so I guess it is hard to create a bond between two empty spaces. But thank you all for confirming my suspicions! I hope you all have a fantastic and wonderful day!

    • Digital Unicorn says:

They were only ever ‘friends with benefits’ that Catty and Ma tried to spin as the centuries greatest royal love story EVA. He married her as she clung on long enough and no one else who have him, plus he was pressured by both families to either marry her or end it for good.

Things turned sour before the kids started to arrive and it went downhill fast when Harry met Megan.

    • Duch says:

Downfall, I was thinking about that too the other day. What about the engagement portraits? I think that’s the last time that I saw genuine smile from him in her presence?

    • sunny says:

I disagree. There was love for sure on her part but I am not sure how much any of it could be genuine given how indoctrinated she was by her mother to catch him. But look at early images of how she would look up at him. As for him, I think no. He was fond of her in a friendly way, knew she would put up with his crap and none of the women he really wanted would have him. But there was a time where even if he was already a serial cheater, he was nicer to her in public(affectionate nickname, occasional smiles), those days are loooooooooong gone,

      • BeanieBean says:

I remember some pap photos from early in their marriage. K& W and their dog Lupo walking on some cold beach somewhere. Kate was hanging all over him, and William kept his hands firmly in his pockets.

    • Chaine says:

I think in the early years of their marriage and even after George they seemed genuinely affectionate, if not in love certainly fond of one another. That’s why William’s coldness toward her and her corresponding anger and frustration nowadays is so striking to me. Thinking especially of the polo event photos was it last summer? Where she had had a bit to drink and you could clearly see her trying to engage with him and reacting when he just walked away ignoring her.

      • Nic919 says:

The coldness started around the time the Rose affair would have been revealed to Kate. Maybe a bit prior to that when they were in Poland and Kate was giving William the dirtiest looks and in public too, which she never did. Their joint jealousy of Harry and Meghan had them work together for a bit, but once Harry and Meghan left the Uk that is really when William just didn’t care to pretend anymore.

    • windyriver says:

Apart from the fact that no one else he wanted would have him, and that Kate was willing to tolerate his extracurricular activities, I’ve always thought Kate’s big selling point was she was totally on board with Will about doing as little work as possible. She was in it for the status and the perks, and was otherwise just as lazy, and incurious, as he was. That’s why she never developed any skills for what her ultimate position was supposed to be. It wasn’t any great love but I think Will liked Kate well enough, as long as she didn’t get in his way – and as long as Harry didn’t have anything better.

The change was Meghan entering the picture. Work wise, competition forced Will and Kate to step up their game, while Harry’s marriage to Meghan made Will jealous and more and more dissatisfied being tied to Kate as time went on. Now that he has his own money, Will’s reverting to the status quo for him, talking a big game while working as little as possible. (There’s also been gossip here that Will is ready to replace Kate with someone else that will up his profile, a la Harry.)

    • Agnes says:

You put your finger right on it! The BRF is like a bad play with ham actors. (BTW I would love to see a “Downfall” video with William in the Adolf roll.)

      • Royal Donwnfall Watcher says:

hahahah! @agnes you said it! Can you imagine??? He would be breaking dog bowls and throwing pillows during his speech!

Thank you all for responding to my silly question! I think we are all on the same page….this is an arrangement. He got some kids and she got the crown. Ugh. I hope the kids are alright. They will be alright financially, obviously, but I truly do hope they can look up to their uncle and find inner peace!

  20. Trix says:

So obvious that Will is the source because he just couldn’t resist this… “They’re not like [Prince] Harry, obsessing and scrolling through Twitter ….”

    • ArtHistorian says:

Also, Will actually got Ryan Air to pull a tweet because he’s so thin-skinned.

    • ML says:

ITA, Trix. In fact, I still have no confidence that we’ve seen or heard anything from K since Christmas 2023. We’ve heard from the Huevo, KP, the RR spin points, BP, etc, but there is nothing in this article that says she had anything to do with it.
We know it’s from Egg because K is getting blamed for the photoshop disaster, Ian Patrick is lauded, Harry is being criticized, and nothing negative is being said about W.
As the Mother Jones article stated, the home is the most dangerous place for women in abusive relationships. It’s beyond weird that they do not want to risk Kate appearing in public or showing that she’s okay.
      https://www.motherjones.com/media/2024/03/kate-middleton-princess-wales-photoshop-photo-royal-family-twitter-conspiracy/

    • Sandy8 says:

I know haha! What a tell. Just couldn’t resist, eh Willy? Just had to get that in there.

  21. Eurydice says:

So, that’s the new line, is it? Poor, dear, sweet Kate, who only thinks of others first, dragged herself from her sickbed to bring a little joy into people’s humdrum little lives. And all those ungrateful Tiktokers, like AP and Reuters and Getty and AFP are a bunch of hypocrites for looking this generous show pony in its huge gaping mouth.

    • Moondust says:

To be called a racist is worse a crime than being one in their eyes. To be called out on their lies is worse than lie to the public. But hey everything is fine. They have tons of supporters. Kim jong UN too.

    • Agnes says:

God, I wish those Tik-Tokers would stop, I haven’t been able to get any work done for weeks, lolz. The latest theory is Richard Gloucester will soon be appointed regent because Wills is guilty of DV (Kate is locked up somewhere to recover) and “Eyes Wide Shut” country-house perversions, oh and also, he gave T. Laurence his shiner. Something better be revealed soon, all this sinister guesswork is too addictive.

      • Harper says:

@Agnes if half of that is true I suspect that is why they have to keep CRex away from Burger King because once Burger King becomes the actual King he has immunity from prosecution, right? So if he did do something horrendous, there is now more of an incentive for him to gain the crown and CRex and his advisors are trying to stay one step ahead of his heir. This is sounding absolutely medieval.

  22. Aud says:

lol— they’re just a couple with three small children. We should give them some grace, y’all. How about when Meghan was just a pregnant woman with a toddler? It always blows my mind when the BM tries to shame the public for their questions and opinions by pointing out that they’re only human. They certainly had no problem going after H&M and leading the public to do the same. No grace for them, ever.

    • Beverley says:

      Yep. We all know why.
And Harry is forever persona non grata for bringing all of “that” into the royal family.

    • SussexWatcher says:

💯 Aud. The number of times the Wailses and their rota minions have cried about how the Sussexes should come back to royal work so the Wailses can look after their small children makes me want to hurl. The Sussexes also have small children. In fact their children are younger than the Wails children. So where are the calls for grace and privacy for the Sussexes and their little prince and princess? I’m so glad Harry and Meghan and Archie and Lili Diana are freeeee 🇺🇸

      • Sandy8 says:

AND I don’t think they had a full time 24/7 live in surrogate mom (ie Spanish nanny) either. Kate and will had to do a minimum of parenting.

  23. blueberry says:

This part: “issuing “kill notices” for the image over “manipulation” that did not meet their standards” is so misleading. The implication here is that they killed it because the manipulation was amateur and didn’t meet their standard for photo manipulation. (When in fact the manipulation itself was the problem) Poor Kate! Bullied by the big, bad international press. Just a simple mom who is the most looked-at woman in the world! gmafb

    • Jais says:

Yeah, they’re laying it on thick. It wasn’t killed over a little editing. It was killed bc it was manipulated at North Korean levels. A new head was plopped on Kate and they couldn’t produce the original. And KP calling the photo agencies hypocrites seems like a petty move. They really shouldn’t be insulting the agencies that could potentially comb through more of their old photos. Really hope CNN follows through on their investigation.

  24. Amy Bee says:

I read this article le yesterday and all I can say is KP and the Wales are deluded and arrogant. Plus Kate is never going to talk publicly about her illness and recovery.

    • Moondust says:

They are terribly rude and condescending too. And it baffles me than they think that promising a photo of Louis for his birthday will erase all that? I thought they were stupid but I overestimated them. My goodness. At least it’s fun to watch.

      • BeanieBean says:

I assume they know that a photo of that poor kid is going to be scrutinized
to hell & gone? Why do that to the child? They really don’t have to release a birthday photo every year. I can’t remember that being done by anyone in the BRF before. I remember a photo of Anne for her 21st birthday. Charles for his investiture as POW. William’s first day at school. Harry’s, too. Weddings & engagements and so on, but yearly birthday photos? They can just stop that & everything would be fine.

      • Mary Eleanor Kidd says:

I’m disgusted that they promise to dangle a photo of one of their children in the hopes of appeasing the masses. Those children have no choice, no agency. It turns my stomach.

      • Jais says:

Listen I’m in favor of them not showing a picture of their kid

    • DetachedObserver says:

*If* the colostomy with stoma theory is legit, Keen might eventually talk about it *if* her stoma ends up being temporary and they’re able to restore bowel function. This article highly praises William’s newly hired private secretary Ian Patrick – the fact that Patrick is a trustee with the Chron’s & Colitis UK foundation can’t be a coincidence.

    • Underhill says:

Amy Bee I think you are right. We won’t hear anything about what was going on, if she makes a full recovery. Whispers are that she is having trouble making a full recovery from whatever her condition is/was, so…she may not have a choice. They keep kicking the can down the road about when she will be seen. My best guess now is that the therapy for that stroke or brain damage she had isnt yielding the results that were first hoped for. Just my guess.

  25. Ariel says:

I mean… we all knew William was short sighted, stupid, and arrogant.
But, this is BREATHTAKINGLY short sighted, moronic and arrogant.

Not sure how far the press will back them. Maybe they will toe the line. But I don’t think William has as much -I’m untouchable – power as he thinks

    • Shawna says:

What will it take to make William realize he needs to course correct? There’s just no way, is there?

      • No Peg thinks he is killing it with his PR. He will never change course because he thinks his sh*t doesn’t stink and he has yes men there to always tell him he is right.

      • WiththeAmerican says:

It’s giving Andrew’s belief he slayed in his disastrous interview. BM pairs Harry with Andrew in every breath, when it’s more like William and Andrew belong together.

This whole family is delusional and way out of touch with reality.

      • Harper says:

Burger King shot himself in the foot with this fiasco. Now he is actually going to have to show up for future photos instead of relying on the magic of photoshop. It’s not only the family photos he ducks, but they had to shop him into that Grinning Funeral Foursome pic with CRex and Cams too.

    • MoBiMom says:

Got to hand it to Peg…. he’s consistent!

    • Eurydice says:

I suppose it depends on how much money the press can make either supporting the RF or not. But there’s a whole industry built up around the royals – journalists, experts, photographers, the various charities, the whole honors system. And then there are the obligations built into the monarchy – the head of the church, commander-in- chief, etc. None of these are compatible with a RF that has been publicly proven as liars.

I’m not surprised that William is a colossal idiot who couldn’t pour piss out of a boot with the directions on the heel – he proves that every day he leaves the house. I’m surprised that Charles doesn’t seem to be worried – I wonder what’s going on at BP.

      • Mary Eleanor Kidd says:

Well, Kchuck does have cancer, so I can see where that’s at the forefront of his concerns. My opinion, he’s letting his eldest eff up in a very passive-aggressive way of teaching him a lesson. Yeah, I’m sure Cam is also a big influence in letting this carry on, but I think maybe hubs agrees with her. Maybe they hope Willy-boy will crash and burn and then they can reign him back in and keep him under their thumb.

      • Shawna says:

Like I said before, the royal rota needs to pivot. William is not going to give the content they need to support their income. They need to just get qualified other areas. Photoshop, maybe?

I honestly don’t think that the interests of the Crown would allow Charles to let William hang out to dry for this long. Result: I do think Charles is actually in a very bad health crisis.

      • Eurydice says:

@Mary Eleanor Kidd – one of the RF’s great failings is waiting too long to react to something. At some point, pulling on William’s reins will only pull Charles over the cliff with him.

  26. KS says:

The combination of intense stupidity, arrogance and entitlement that the left behind royals and their stenigraphers like Roya show is so aggravating, one feels like smacking them in the face.
I am so glad they have landed themselves in such deep shit of their own making that no one with any sense can defend them.

  27. Pomski says:

The photo blowup was not about Charlotte’s sleeve. It was meant to be an update on Kate’s health and after press agencies scrutinized her appearance, they discovered inconsistencies that led to the ban. None of the followup conversation mentioned Kate’s health or if she appeared healthy or sickly. KP allowed the “perfect family” photoshop issue to play out because it served as the perfect distraction from the real issue of Kate’s recovery.

    • blueberry says:

So true. I also wonder if leaving out big blue could have been an intentional distraction.

      • Libra says:

@blueberry; big blue is not there because those hands are probably not Kate’s.

      • sevenblue says:

@Libra, I think, the suspicion about the ring was, they did a lot of editing in the pic, so why did they not also add the ring? It would probably easier to add a ring than a new face to Kate. I agree with @blueberry, I also thought, they planned that everyone would concentrate on “no ring on hand”, so the bad editing in the pic would be less of an issue. To their surprise, people can speculate on multiple things at the same time.

  28. First comment says:

So many things to write about this article, so little space…a)” The Waleses will release a new photo for Louis’s birthday Why did they feel the need to say that? Are they trying to appease the RR after photogate? It’s something they do each year for each child, b)”A friend insists there was nothing sinister in Kate’s editing, just a desire to project the polished image that the public has come to expect from the couple”: telling the public that their “perfect” family is an illusion without telling them..they got away too many times with it…c) according to the article, Kate would return on the 17th of April, after the children’s break…God forbid, they lose a day or two from their vacations, even after such a long break, d)“Social media has provided the media with plenty of content and the speculation around their marriage is just cruel. These are people with three small children going through the hardest time they’ve had to go through as a family, with that as an awful backdrop.” : poor little mice, they are always the victims…no matter that they brought the whole thing on themselves..and while I can understand that this was a difficult time for the children, specially during the “surgery “, I don’t know why they keep insisting on it, if Kate is well and recuperating as they want us to believe, and e) finally, congratulations to William’s new private secretary who dictated this article and probably, is the Wales friend, royal source etc judging by the way Roya speaks about him..perhaps so as to have similar scoops in the future 😀?

    • Lissen says:

This random thought came into my head as I read your last point.

Definition of a diplomat: a man sent to lie for his country.

Good bang-up job, Ian Patrick, former diplomat!

      • aftershocks says:

^^ Yeah, I had a laugh over that bit about Ian Patrick, the former diplomat, having career expertise in peacemaking. 🤪 😂 But even with his ‘fabulous’ skills, can he broker ‘peace’ between Diana’s sons? 😉 LOL! Of course NOT.

  29. SussexWatcher says:

My head is spinning from all the lies in this piece coming from Huevo Pegs the III and his missing soon-to-be ex-wife. Let’s see, we have:
—Keen will arise after Easter, but, oh by after Easter we mean 3-4 weeks later. Or maybe not even by Trooping. We’ll also drop some hints that she’s too fragile to handle any of this and may disappear from public life altogether.
—We never complain or explain, except for all the times (and every single word in this article) when we literally complain and explain (and blame Harry or Meghan).
—Keen gave the photo to her staff and they didn’t think to review it or ask any questions about the Frankenphoto. But oh, they also haven’t seen or spoken to her in months.
—Keen is such a self-sacrificing mom that just wants her children to look good, but it was just her (younger) face that was pasted in; the kids edits were only their clothes and hands.
—We don’t pour over social media like obsessed Harry, we only buy bots to harass and bully other people online and to make sure we always have more followers than the Sussexes.
—So what if Keen didn’t wear big blue? That means nothing, move along. I mean, so what if she’s only worn it every single time we’ve ever seen her since her engagement (including sailing on the open ocean, digging in the dirt, and digging her hands into sticky bread dough with the scouts).

This entire piece sounds like one big Peg rant, with some ‘don’t forget about me’ cries from the disappeared soon-to-be ex. I’ll laugh and laugh if the big royal news that the BBC has been briefed on is the divorce and all of the rota rats will look stupid as hell for covering the Wailses asses this whole time that Pegs has been planning Keen’s long goodbye.

    • Seraphina says:

      THIS, all of this.

    • Eurydice says:

With articles like this, it makes sense that there’d be Frankenphotos, too.

    • Polo says:

I actually think the big bbc news might be an investiture for the Wales title.
I think after all that’s happened they are gonna drag them to wales and maybe that will be the first big event back.
Something to signal all is well..we’re moving on together, look at how everyone loves us..royal fanfare blah blah.

It’s all a lie but hey it’s not my life.

      • Liz says:

Nothing would surprise me polo. They may think after all this furore just stick together and plod on. If she is able to.

      • Shawna says:

William made it very clear that was never going to happen, though. If Charles has any leverage over William at this point, it ain’t gonna be about the investiture.

    • su si says:

Ha, Ha😂👌🏽. That was fun and funny.
I did note that, in the Spoon feeding given to Tom Sykes or Roya, they never say that their marriage is strong or they love one another or explain the absence of the rings. They just play the victim generally without explaining or denying anything.

  30. Jay says:

Whoa, boy, it seems that the era of the royal family’s carte blanche to just have agencies post their photos without comment is over. I am not a professional by any means, but even my untrained eye can see that the Windsors have been using photoshop for years!

And in all this talk of Kate feeling “humiliated” and having to do all of the post-production, William’s supposed role is conveniently forgotten.

  31. Lady Digby says:

A whole lot of words to confirm that Willy is stubbornly stupid , lazy and dim and everyone else is at fault. Yep Willy is carrying on as normal!

    • Libra says:

So it’s William who is the whiny victim? I thought it was Harry who was accused of that.

  32. Jks says:

The international photo agencies are not petty but they definitely are not going to be so lenient anymore with the photos from the royal family. Especially not after being called hypocritical. We’ll probably start seeing a lot less flattering photos of Kate and Camilla in the future. No more airbrushing and blurring wrinkles and jowls and under eye bags. No more complexion that rejects makeup.

  33. nic919 says:

The article also implied that Kate was at home cooking dinner all the time because god forbid WIlliam learn how to function like an adult especially when his wife is allegedly too incapacitated to cut ribbons and leave the house. They are also suggesting that Kate attended Lambrook events.

So if any of this is true, there is zero reason for Kate to keep hiding. The main question though is whether any of this article is true.

    • MsIam says:

Exactly, she’s doing fine but she can’t be seen in public because of abdominal surgery that supposedly would be covered up by clothing. And none of these royal “experts” or “reporters” question the inconsistency.

    • Shawna says:

Or their dinners are coming from the same chef who *checks notes* cooks for Prince Andrew.

  34. William threw his ailing wife under the bus by having his office release a statement by her absolving him (the legally accredited source of the picture) of blame.

He is the one who put the target on her back.

  35. Mslove says:

I see that KP is still channeling their inner North Korea. Did you know the same family has ruled North Korea since it was founded? Kind of like the Windsors. North Koreans don’t have access to the internet. I bet Peg would cut off the internet to Salt Isle if he knew how. So for now they will gaslight the public about the fake picture fiasco.

  36. Robert Phillips says:

The only thing I took from this. Is Kate isn’t going to be seen well after Louis’ birthday. Because if Kate was out before that. A picture of him wouldn’t be that big of a deal. But their already pushing that narrative. Probably because the press is demanding something to write about. And William isn’t delivering. So the first couple of tabloid writers who can’t make their rent or mortgage. They are going to spill what they know. And then all hells going to break loose.

    • MsIam says:

Piss Morgan is already dropping hints about how “if half of what he has heard is true, then things are really terrible” or something like that. Since Piss is one of Camilla’s attack dogs, I guess this is her tightening the screws on Willy. I always believed the the Wails were going to pay for all of those “skip Charles for William” stories one way or another.

      • Interested Gawker says:

Was it Roya who wrote the ‘Camilla Wins The Game Of Thrones’ piece? Is it a coincidence that she was on camera recently with a black eye? What is going on over there?

Camilla never stopped. Everything Camilla touches dies. She made a point of being seen with Clarkson before he wrote his screed about Meghan (And Clarkson’s family was the first to produce a soft toy of Paddington Bear for sale. Does he get an income boost tying Paddington to QEII?) Now she’s turned the screw upon Diana’s other son as he injures the current Princess of Wales reputation, comfortable in knowing William is probably culpable in some aspect of Kate’s disappearance. There should be a well check for the children. I don’t think Cam will stop with William. All of Diana’s line is in peril.

  37. MsIam says:

I wonder if the Wails, especially Future King Wails will ever recover from this? The longer this goes on, the worse they look. Right now, people are still in the joking phase about “Where is Kate?”. But what will they do when the serious inquiries start? You can’t tell people to fcuk off forever, outside of a dictatorship. Unless that is the real endgame.

  38. KPr says:

Business insider had a really great article about the PR overdrive post Oprah interview and I think we are about to see that again but on steroids this time.

In the article they noted how Will and Kate have barely been posting pics together the last 6 months and seemed cold towards each other.
I expect it’s gonna to be a complete 180 for the next few months as they course correct. Get ready for lots of keen keenery. Of course this is as long as William agrees to play along. We’ll see.

    • Lady Digby says:

So Willy has to act devoted husband with all year festive glances, hand holding or bum patting and may join her as she goes full Liberace at the Carol Concert warbling Hopelessly Devoted To You as a duet?? Do “you guys” want Willy’s head to explode?

    • Tate says:

I don’t think William is capable of faking it. He has not been able to hide his disdain for her in the recent past.

    • Moondust says:

The latest Kay article is not tender on William. There might be a PR overdrive but lots of critical articles too (see the guardian or a. Boulton’s opinion piece on sky news).

  39. L4Frimaire says:

The utter incompetence and arrogance of these people. They really have no respect for the public and think they’re fools. They seem to meander from the “stop bullying poor Kate” storyline while still trying to downplay the seriousness of what they did, to trying to rope the Sussexes into it. Thy are still being evasive and calling these respected international news agencies hypocrites because they did their due diligence and refused to participate in a global deception is a stupid blunder on KPs part. They are so incompetent and the British press just lets it slide and props them up.

  40. Crystal says:

April 17th we will see Kate and we will be getting a picture of little Louis 23rd. That’s a lot of info after- All the secrets and denials, I believe that was Kate in the car and she turned her face! That was punishment for the TMZ pic. He is making it impossible for her to leave him- contracts prenuptial and keep her captive away from public to live a double life- let her go- just to keep her down and controlled this is sick! Then to announce her reissue date after of course the school break lol and now a promise of a new Halloween pic of Louis? But Hated ones staff haven’t even spoken to her? wtf is going on? More lies- April 17 is a Wednesday surely school breaks ends Monday the 15th it’s all just words with no meanings so no Easter April fools surprise? 17more days added to resurrection lol 😂 this becomes less of a missing princess and more of a CPS missing children if he doesn’t roll them out alone for Easter

    • L4Frimaire says:

No one asked for a picture of this kid. They keep pushing out the timeline while trying to reassemble her.

      • Crystal says:

So no one will be at the Easter Walk? What about the cousins? Think if the cousins! If we don’t see the children at Easter Peirs is screaming to us Alarms 5 alarm fire bell! Bigger than we even could understand

    • Shawna says:

Look at the Somme photos of Kate if you think that was real.

He is trying to make her go away, not the opposite. And yeah, kids are still missing, but they should stay out of this.

  41. Over it says:

How dare you the public not feel sorry for William and Kate and believe their palace of lies . Have you all forgotten your the peasants and they are the ruling class? How dare you question them or mock them or have opinions or seek the truth. The truth is whatever they tell you it is and it’s not your place to think otherwise. Forget all the evidence infront of your very eyes telling you something is not right. You know nothing. You are not important enough or smart enough to question an egg and a button .

  42. /mary Pester says:

Soooo, they have employed a confirmed, been in war zones, earned quite a few medals “peace keeper” as Billy idols secretary, 😂😂😂😂Nooooo, he’s the chap who knows how to restrain the incandescent one. Can’t you all see him, stood barring the way to the lounge, looking at Billy raging and giving willy the Liam Neeson “I have skills” speech!. The BRF are fkd to put it bluntly, and Billy along with bone idle have brought it on themselves. They started to believe the hype that they can do as little as they want, then just dangle a picture of the kids and all is forgotten. NOPE not any more. They have taken the mickey out of the public, the public that pays their wage , and as for the “Harry spends all his time scrolling through Twitter!?!”, listen mate, Harry is to busy WORKING to be scrolling through twitter, now I know the word WORKING or just plain WORK will have bone idle reaching for her pearls and Billy reaching for the nearest Butler to bash, but they are going to have to or their GONE. We as a country have seen their worth, and sorry, but the penny peices went out of circulation years ago!

    • mollyf says:

Amen, @Mary Pester, you said it beautifully. Thank you 🙏 your posts are always pitch perfect.

      • mollyf says:

@Mary Pester, about that hat, the one so big that reaches the sky, beautiful as a diamond: but how old is its fashion, I mean, about forty, younger, older? I’m doing a lot of research, but what I find I think is too old to be the one..

    • Liz says:

Mary P – do you think Kate is ok and they will stay together?

      • mary Pester says:

@LIZ,, do I think Kate is OK! Mmm depends what you mean by OK, but the bullsht story she is going to give about her surgery, will put the great Mr Patterson in the shade for fiction. Look at the facts, it WASN’T planned, she had things booked that had to be urgently cancelled and charities let down. Then there was the mad dash to the hospital on the 28th December and willy wandering around pssd out of his head, but even though willy’s latest favourite song is LUCY in the sky with diamonds, I think they will tough it out until HE has the throne (without a coronation) THAT’S a tell

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Mary Pester, I know that the Church of England is involved in the coronation, but is the coronation actually required? If so, will Bone Idle keep the title of Queen-Consort?

    • Digital Unicorn says:

There was an article in the fail promising another PHOTO at Louis birthday – gives her enough time to do a quick online course on photoshop. Do they really think that will be enough for the press?

Someone up thread mentioned a BBC exclusive – I suspect its a sit down interview with Kate, as the Fail article also said she might talk publicly about her health. They are apparently shaken by reports of the state of their marriage – why, they are the ones who are broadcasting it?1?!?!

Lets see if either of these things happen or if this is just Ma going rogue again in a vain attempt to salvage her daughters rep. The Middletons are not going to let Megan’s new venture go un answered – they’ll be gearing up to launch Kate as some sort of ‘influencer’.

      Apparently she’s NOT a show pony y’all.

      • MsIam says:

The announcement is supposed to be in 24 to 72 hours, so it makes no sense for it to be Kate because they just said she won’t be seen until the middle of April. It could be a sit down interview with William. If so, he would do well to remember what happened with his Uncle Pedrew’s interview. Or it could be an interview with Charles assuring the country “all is well” despite what you see with the Wails. Sort of like how QEII did after the family botched their response to Diana’s death.

      • Kel says:

        @msiam
That’s a good point. William hasn’t done a sit down interview in years and actually neither has Charles.
They dont do them because of their lies and the lack of control.

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

Mary Pester, If Bone Idle shows up fully recovered and looking just fine, how angry are people going to be?

    • Liz says:

Thank you for your reply Mary, so interesting 🌷💕

    • mollyf says:

@Mary Pester, about that hat, the one so big that reaches the sky, beautiful as a diamond: but how old is its fashion, I mean, about forty, younger, older? I’m doing a lot of research, but what I find I think is too old to be the one..

      • mary Pester says:

@MOLLYF, I never said her hat reached to the sky lol, I said his latest favourite song is LUCY in the sky with diamonds. Willy’s friends come and go, but THE ODD ONE REMAINS

      • DianaTheArcher says:

I googled these clues along with “commonwealth” and found a hottie Lucy whose bro hangs with Will and she is too smart for him.
        Lucy Orr Ewing.

      • Jeanne says:

Lucy Orr Ewing would be perfect in william’s eyes. she’s very pretty and brilliant so she can compete with meghan. also she’s young (30) so she probably thinks william is older and dreamy. i have no idea if she was at the ceremony or coronation but that’s a great find DianatheArcher!

      • mollyf says:

@Mary Pester thank you 🙏 I didn’t know how to put together a good figure of speech lol
@DianaTheArcher and @Jeanie I think you got it..
that would be like a mirage for p.Huevo, but it’s really hard for me to understand why *she* would be interested, beside a bit of fun and distraction on the side.

She could have so many better choices without the complications and limitations.

Furthermore, it would forever be a mistery to me what a Lucy Orr Ewing would have to say to an egg: wouldn’t she read through him and see the endless void?

If that’s case, if she is it, and I believe it most probably is, and she is into him, it’s very sad. No matter how far you go, how intensively you study and commit to achieve the best, the dumbest prince comes along and the glitter blinds your eyes like a plastic Disney princess…
Or maybe, she *is* her ambitions, and she likes what she sees…

  43. Linney says:

My theory is that Kate was having a planned surgery because of her eating disorder and it went very wrong. I think she has a bag or something that would be visible in her typical skintight clothing. I also think it’s possible she tried to hurt herself because of William’s cheating. They will ease her out of public life (the eating disorder was caused by the stress of the job and the evil of Harry and Meghan) and then perhaps William will divorce her because it’s best for the country and best for Kate. That is my thought for today! I might feel differently tomorrow.

    • JanetDR says:

Or maybe they found something else during the surgery and had to deal with that too?

  44. Lady Digby says:

Willy is definitely in his EFF ORF peasants none of your business era, isn’t he? We are just supposed to be grateful for the crumbs off his table and a heartwarming snap of his children and broodmare at seasonal intervals but ideally he’d like to spend duchy dosh and keep us all waving behind iron link fences.

  45. aquarius64 says:

This whole article just shows KP is a hot mess when its principals, the future king and queen consort, are in a PR crisis. It took a week for a response and trashing AP and the other agencies was the dummest thing to do. The Guardian article was meant to embarrass the news agencies for dropping the ball for QEII and grandkids pictures, but it’s serving to movitate the agenciwd to be more diligent. The overarching issue is the future head of state and his wife now have credibility problems and they act like they have something to hide. Something an enemy nation could find out and exploit to control the House of Windsor.

    • Interested Gawker says:

It’s a Monty Python level of self own for a British newspaper to point at the international agencies being lax about KPs photos when one of the reasons those news wires accepted them from the palace without scrutiny, took the images at face value and believed royal pics were legitimate was THEY RAN UNCHALLENGED BY THE ENGLISH NEWSPAPERS. William’s hubris is going to take the BM down with him.

  46. Louise says:

‘I know you are, what am I?’ is not the defense they think it is.

  47. Interested Gawker says:

A different CBer mentioned that what ever KP thinks its announced to the public most people ‘heard’ Easter and are fixed upon the holiday itself as the date of Kate’s reappearance. If Kate’s a no show for the Easter walk…

If KP thinks its seen memes and jokes about this situation now it will pale in comparison to the way people will react in that case! William has painted himself into a corner. Can international media outlets smoke out the matter of what’s really going on in two weeks? Will Easter be a new platform for demanding what should have been provided properly from the start? Proof of life?

  48. Saucy&Sassy says:

Well, except for the Mudoch’s (and his ilk) media it’s going to be really fun to watch and see how much of the crap they come out with will find it’s way to mainstream media. The photo agencies aren’t the only ones watching all of this, so is the global media.

  49. Lady Digby says:

@Mary Pester is Willy’s new squeeze Lucy who married Thomas van S 3 years ago and used to be Charlotte’s teacher?

    • Water Lilly says:

@LadyDigby, isn’t he supposed to be Willy’s best friend?

      • mollyf says:

@WaterLilly, I don’t think *someone* usually walks on the highest moral ground

besides once there was something called ‘ius prima noctis’, so..

        yet who knows

    • mollyf says:

@Lady Digby, you might be right
probably not answerable, for now at least

    • Jaded says:

Well Straubenzee and his wife welcomed a son a little over a year ago so I don’t think it could be her.

      • Dandelion2 says:

        Kate’s cousin is a Lucy…

      • Jaded says:

@Dandelion2 — so I see, she’s also a lawyer, but *apparently* they’re close (they took a gap year trip to Florence together) and she’s a high profile lawyer. Ironically she’s the head of the legal department at Penguin Random House who published Harry’s book.

  50. Whatnow says:

I’m feeling particularly cynical this morning so my guess is she appears when school break is over and by summer time we moved on to something else and all will be forgiven and forgotten.

    • Interested Gawker says:

I think KP is counting on that to be true, that they can just wait out the public and all will settle down but there’s many a slip between the cup and the lip and those news wires will not put up with being made to look foolish once they review so many other previous offical KP and BP handout photos that are as fraudulent as this Mothering Sunday one, on top of the fact that pleading for laying off Kate on SM rings so hollow when they were abusing Meghan so openly.

I’m not sure KP or BP can rely on the status quo remaining the same.

      • AC says:

At this point, they think the public is stupid. Believe me, with that attitude people won’t forget. The public will be even more brutal on their next fu$&ck up.

  51. AC says:

“..it looks like the royal reporters are dutifully circling the wagons under the belief they can somehow control the narrative”

LMAO. Yes in their little island in this earth, but they’re not fooling the rest of the world.
Everyone knows they are arrogant as fu$&ck and a total Global Joke taking orders from a medieval family in the 21st century. They are actually the bu&&tt of everyone’s joke(from Australia to the US and Canada to the Netherlands and France etc).
They will Never learn or listen, but people don’t forget.
They will get Burned Again and this time the world would be even more Brutal to their pathetic arrogance.

  52. Advisor2U says:

“Ian is fabulous – thank God he arrived at the perfect moment,” a royal insider says. “He’s fantastic, really calm, super smart. He is perfect for William, and William is really pleased he’s there. He’s been funny, calm and very clear about not reacting to everything.”

So Ian, the royal insider and the Lord’s saviour, has planted the narrative of his own greatness, from scratch. Bet your life, all the sycophantic RR and royal press/tabloids will follow suit and sing the same song of glory; same rule book, till the next private secretary …. next year.

    • Turnawry says:

Brilliant work from Ian Patrick, leading KP into the credibility cesspool with North Korea and Iran. No dispute that he “is perfect for William.” Monty Pythonesque indeed.

    • Unblinkered says:

New private secretary won’t last a year.

  53. Jewbitch says:

Does anyone follow houseinhabit on insta? She loves the royals (not so much H&M) and says she has three reliable sources that Kate did have an “abdominal surgery” and does have a temporary colostomy bag. Maybe that photo in the car w her mom was legit, bc all the meds she needs to be on will give her face a bloated look.

    • Jaded says:

The bloat goes away once you’re out of hospital and on the mend so unless she’s on an anti-depressant like lithium or similar, or steroids which aren’t part of the regimen of meds you’re given post-colostomy as it’s not an autoimmune issue, she shouldn’t be bloated after 2 months. I’m going in for ileostomy surgery in 5 days and have gotten the whole list of meds I’ll be on post-surgery for a week or so, none of which cause anything more than minor and very temporary bloats.

    • ArtFossil says:

Instagram “sources” are the contemporary equivalent of ancient Roman divination. We might as well sacrifice a sheep and read the entrails.

  54. Lau says:

I don’t think anybody will be surprised when she doesn’t reappear after Easter. I wonder how long they can delay her reappearance before a new wave of conspiracies hit them.

  55. Cassie says:

I actually think that grainy photo of Kate in the car with her mum was trying to send out a message .

She really can’t be photographed the way she looks now .

  56. I am just wondering how KP is going to dodge the photoshop inquiries on all the other pictures they released to the press.

Are they straight up going to say that “Catherine Has Been Our Secret Photoshopping Weapon For Years”

Or are they going to say she only photoshops photos her husband claims credit for

Or that she only photoshopped this one

People, they are digging themselves in deeper.

  57. Jaded says:

Well well…the thought plickens. I just read that Willbur is taking the next 4 weeks off leading into school break and we won’t see him until after April 17th when they go back to school…something is definitely afoot and I don’t believe either he or Kate will appear publicly to royalsplain anything.

    • I honestly don’t care if I ever “see” any of them ever again. They can do all of their made up jobs behind closed doors.

I just sincerely hope that they stop selling photos of their children to the press.

    • Swerve says:

@JADED No way! You gotta be joking right?
I can believe they would be so stupid BUT SURELY NOOO? Imagine being lazy by taking a month off in the height of intense scrutnty and bad PR….

I honestly feel until they see negative opinion polls from this they won’t change their behavior. They think the tabloids are overreacting.

    • SunnyDays says:

I almost can’t believe this because it’s a terrible PR move, but then look who we’re talking about and yup, it tracks. Can you imagine if Kate doesn’t show up at Easter (I’m still confused about her return date: is it Easter, after Easter or never?) AND William was M.I.A. for the entire month before that? They think this is just going to go away and it’s not.

  58. Jks says:

The Sussexes have thousands of gorgeous photos capturing their undeniable chemistry. Many of them are iconic and Meghan is just crazy photogenic. RF is insanely jealous and bitter – they desperately wish that the international news agencies had humiliated the Sussexes instead. They tried to drag Misan into this mess but failed miserably. Now they are complaining about hypocrisy. Lol.

  59. Paula Ziegler says:

If she had abdominal surgery she may not have been able to eat solid food for a month to 6 weeks. Her normal is 25 pounds underweight. 6 weeks of no food and a 30 pound weightloss would not be a possibility for her. So maybe she had an IV for a month after surgery? Still unless there were complications she should be able to go public after 2 months and we’re heading into the 3rd month.
So surgery becomes less and less the likely excuse for this clownshow. This situation becomes less and less justifiable or explainable the longer it goes on.

  60. Lucky Charm says:

My daughter (who doesn’t follow any royal gossip), asked me today, “Why is Kate Middleton missing?” So this whole mystery is reaching everyone! She asked me, if Kate only had surgery, why she doesn’t just say she had xyz surgery and is going to be laid up for xyz weeks. That is the $64,000 question!

  61. martha says:

They think Kate is so very popular they can throw her to the wolves without blowback on Kensington Palace. Dopes!
