Miley Cyrus’ boyfriend moves in with her family – just like the last one

fp_4316964_cyrus_miley_riv_
Miley Cyrus, who recently said that it’s her “job to be a role model,” has proven yet again that she’s a piss poor one. Cyrus’ 19 year-old boyfriend and co-star, Liam Hemsworth, is living with Miley after she told her parents she’d move out if they didn’t allow it. This is the second of Miley’s boyfriends to move in with her and her family. Miley’s then 20-year-old boyfriend, Justin Gaston, was staying with the Cyrus family in 2008. Billy Ray and Laticia weren’t entirely permissive of their then 16 year-old daughter’s relationship with an older guy – she had to keep the door to her bedroom open at all times. I’m sure that worked!

Now that Miley is 17 and living with her next boyfriend her parents have told her that they can’t share the same bedroom. Sounds like they really put their foot down.

The 17-year-old Hannah Montana star recently moved hunky Australian actor Liam Hemsworth into her family’s Toluca Lake, Calif., home – after informing her parent’s she’d move out if she didn’t get her way!

“In the end, Billy Ray and Miley’s mom, Tish, decided they’d rather have Miley under their roof with Liam than not knowing where she is at night,” a family friend told The Enquirer.

But they did insist on separate bedrooms!

[From The National Enquirer, print edition, January 18, 2010]

Miley is 17 years old. How can she threaten to move out if she’s not legally able to? I remember how well the “keep the bedroom door open” request worked when I was 17. It doesn’t take long to get up to something if you’re motivated. I guess we can’t expect much more from Miley’s family. They let their 10 year-old daughter dress like a tart and get videotaped doing sexy dances. Miley is just getting away with what she can.

Billy Ray has said that he’s Miley’s friend first, then her dad. Most dads would be more protective of their daughter. If Miley ends up like Jamie Lynn Spears will her dad still consider her his buddy first, or will he rethink his “teenagers will be teenagers” parenting strategy?

Miley and Liam are shown out in LA on 1/6/10. Credit: RIV/Fame Pictures

WTH is going on over there at casa de Cyrus????

This is what happens when the CHILD is the breadwinner for the family; she controls the purse-strings and therefore runs her PARENTS. Sad.

At least the new BF is a teenager though, right? That’s better, right? *Headdesk*

  2. Cinderella says:

If they think for a moment she isn’t having sex under their roof, they better think again.

  3. Katalina76 says:

What 19-yr. old guy would WANT to live with his girlfriend and her parents and her wack-o siblings? I know she’s a goldmine, but isn’t he an actor too? I’m just surprised he’d want to live with those crazy people.

  4. ogechi says:

    complete NONSENSE>>>

  5. Sudini says:

@Katalina76 – my first thought too! What 19 year old guy would want to live with his gf’s parents?

Maybe he’s just staying with them for a few weeks or so while visiting the states. He is from Australia, correct?

  6. kermit says:

Miley has her own wing in the Cyrus mansion. I have to go along with Katalina, why would the boyfriend want to move in? But, it’s a private thing, that’s the arrangement the Cyrus’s agreed upon.

  7. Sumodo says:

Oops, there goes Hemsworth’s career. If he’s in front of casting directors, does he want to be known as Mr. Miley Cyrus already??? Can you imaging the snickering from the other actors in the waiting room? This is not a cool move, unless he’s just an actor-wannabe who’s really a sheep-shearer from Alice.

  8. Gracie says:

When is this gross girl and her trashy parents going to go away? I don’t even want to see the spectacular trainwreck her life is going to be.

And no parent with a brain in their head thinks it’s a good policy to be your child’s friend first! Is Billy Ray really that dumb or is he just scared that Miley is going to cut the family off her money and he’ll have to get a real job?

  9. atticus says:

Billy Ray says he’s her friend first, then her dad. That explains a lot.

I went off on a big rant in the comments on the whole “I’m a role model, not a parent” issue the other day…this just pushes me over the edge.

  10. filthycute says:

What a s1ut. And her parents are morons.

Her upper lip grosses me out!

  11. ering says:

Pretty soon, he’s not only going to be Mr. Miley but Thor’s little brother. Kid needs to break out before it’s too late!

  12. mel says:

Sounds like Miley maybe the next Jamie Lynn Spears…. and she’s only 17 yrs old so wtf is she doing telling her parents they better allow him to move in with her.

  13. Firestarter says:

Those parents are nuts. I cannot even IMAGINE my parents letting my bf move in with us when I was that age!

I was reticent to tell my mother a few years ago that my bf moved in with me (mainly because he was a creep, but oh well nevermind!), I cannot imagine asking them at 16, 17 to let a guy stay with us!

  14. QB says:

Great role model , of what you should not be like.

  15. QB says:

I miss disney’s old show , when they use to be funny and had good role model.

  16. Iggles says:

That’s ridiculous! Another live in boyfriend?! This girl isn’t even 17 yet. I think it’s a horrible idea for parent to permit their TEENAGERS to have live in lovers.

I’m disgusted with this bunch, once again..

  17. lucy2 says:

    Yeah, this is healthy.
Why can’t she be like every other teenage girl with a boyfriend and just go out together? Why do they have to LIVE with her? It’s just weird, and I agree, why would any guy want to move in with that family?
I shudder to think what the younger kids will do. Much like the Spears, the overly permissive parents are all about one kid, and the rest will most likely act out and do risky things in an effort for attention.

There was a blind item somewhere about some young and “innocent” starlet who likes to make it very well known that she is doing the deed, and general consensus was it was about Miss Miley.

  18. kermit says:

Iggles, Miley Cyrus turned 17 on Nov 23rd of 2009 (born in 1992). I think it is pretty normal for a girl of 17 to have a boyfriend, and for a girl with as much success as she has, she seems fine to me. There’s always youthful folly, I think the public expects wisdom from her that she simply can not possess at such a young age. She’s trying to be reasonably humble yet assert her personality and opinions when asked. I just don’t find her to be objectionable, she’s working things out as best she can after having incredible success at a very young age. Her dad understands show business and is close to her. She may turn out OK. Now Noah is another story, she worries me.

  19. singerinwhite says:

    lucy2:

Yeah – I was browsing the blind items a few days ago and found the one you’re talking about. The girl mentioned is having sex and drinking alcohol a ton – and bragging about it. It also mentioned something about the girl being forced to sit down and have a talk with her “strict handlers” – that could easily be the Mouse House.

Miley has been known to run her mouth – there’s no doubt in my mind that it’s her.

I had a rant in that other post about how utterly wrong she is thinking she’s a role model and what she needs to do to shape up to even BE one. Egads. That quote got me so FUMED – I despise that girl with the heat of a thousand suns (Man I sound so old – I’m only 21!)

Oh yeah – and the little kids are already acting out – did you see Noah Cyrus’s Halloween costume?! ONTD posted it around Halloween – I felt sick looking at it.

  21. NiRa says:

at first sight i thought this was Justin Timberlake!!
    freaky:P

  22. lucy2 says:

@kermit, I don’t think anyone objects to a 17 year old girl having a boyfriend. It’s the fact that he’s moving in with her that’s troublesome, and even more so that this is the second boyfriend to have done so.

  23. ahahah says:

Next Jamie Lynn Spears!? I don’t think she would be able to compose herself like JLS is doing. Jamie vanished from the spotlight long time ago. She’s being accountant for her actions.

  24. ahahah says:

    Accountable*

  25. Sincerity says:

On the surface this arrangement does not sound very kosher; however, there may be a “method to the Cyrus’ madness”.

Miley is not an ordinary teenager and it just may be a well conceived strategy to let her see how living with her beaus on a daily basis would be like. Second, it would send a message to any prospective “gold diggers” that her parents aren’t push overs. These guys are under a constant microscope and “catting around with other girls” would be nearly impossible, if they were so inclined to do so. The last guy could not cut it and this one just may follow suit. Only time will tell.

  26. Iggles says:

Having a boyfriend is NOT the issue. LIVING WITH boyfriends at the age of 16 and 17 is what I have an issue with.

  27. Cakes says:

Mama and Papa Cyrus= EPIC FAIL.

  28. Tami says:

This family is nothing more than white trash…

  29. hatsumomo says:

Hey if you’re wondering how a 17 year old can move out of her parents house, let me tell you a story.
I moved out of my mother’s unit in the courts when I was 16. Got my own apartment, legally signed the lease contract and haven’t lived with her since. She also had absolutely no authority over me whatsoever. You know how? I was an Emancipated minor! You can do it you know. At 14 I knew I couldn’t stand my mother and hated the person she was. Sounds harsh, I know. Whatever. I worked two jobs and saved $1500 and took her to family court and sued her for custody of myself, and the judge granted it. It also helped my case that my mother was abusive and bat-shit crazy. I did not need to be rich or powerful, I just proved my case for needing to get away from her. And Presto! I was legally done and gone. I’m sure Miley can do the same thing if she dosent get her way with her parents too.

  30. TinaWithPom says:

So many kinds of wrong going on with the Cyrus family.

  31. casey says:

wowsy wow wow wow. wtf. omg. yuk yuk yuk yuk yuk. power to the people. Hi ho, hi ho, its off to work we go. a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down. I’m late, I’m late for a very important date.
Party in the USA. Smooth Criminal. Jailhouse Rock.

Row Row Row your boat, gently down the stream, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.

  32. blergh says:

This slut is on her back all day everyday.

  33. casey says:

when he leaves. he should sue her for palimony and get half of the money she makes while he is living with her.
Hint hint to the last live in.

It would be a nice payday.

  34. Laura says:

Why are you writing this story as though it is proven fact? They also alleged that she was moving out when she was 16 and it upset her little sister so much she had to release a statement denying the truth of the story.

Liam lives with his brother Chris Hemsworth in LA.

Can I get an “alleged” somewhere in this write-up?

  35. rundee says:

Can´t see what´s wrong with him moving in.
I moved out when I was 17 although I loved my parents, but I wanted to finish school somewhere else, so I lived alone there and had sex with my boyfriend and certainly didn´t get pregnant.

Why is that such a big deal for you all?

The Cyrus-clan might be crazy for other things, but letting her boyfriend stay with them isn´t crazy.

  36. Firestarter says:

Then let her move out. She doesn’t need to be under her parents roof with her boyfriend when she has younger siblings to consider.

Great for those of you that were on their own at 16, 17, but Miley is not on her own, she is at home and there are younger kids around.

  37. QB says:

She is a minor and a girl who has been know to act stupid. Is wrong for a 17 year to tell her parents how things are going to be, is wrong for her to have her boyfriends living in with her

    because one:she is a minor
    Two: stupid
Three: She already has a bad reputation
Four: They could sue her for palimony.
Five: They are having sex ( I don’t care what they say , they are having sex)

  38. wow says:

Didn’t these people learn anything from Britney Spears’ break down?

When parents start to let their children be the bread winner (as stated up thread) this is exactly what happens. Be a parent FIRST. There’s way too much of that “I’m a cool parent because I’m my kids’ friend first” nonsense.

As to why this guy would want to live there with them, that’s easy. He looks at it as his “in” into the industry or something along those lines.

  39. Angeline says:

I know Miley is the breadwinner but it does not change the fact they are the parents. I put my 2 cents in because my lil sis bought Miley’s cd with her lunch money and I was saddened at sis’ priority.

  40. la chica says:

maybe he’s just visiting. not sure where the evidence is that he has moved in with her when he only just got to LA.

that said, her parents clearly have no say in her decisions. one more year before that is official.

  41. Goddess711 says:

    Countdown til she’s knocked up!

  42. Skip Tomaloo says:

what is up – she’s a TROLL! what am i missing? she’s icky! (posture issues, too) (snark)

  43. achna says:

thats not nice part of miley i hate it..
i don’t want her to be like that. i really do hate it,she’s just a teenager you know that, and i’m 17 i’ll be 18 in february, and right now i always listen to what my parent said, i never do something bad in my life always always listen to my parent, i love them the most in this world. and miley?
o gosh what happen to her?
i never thought that thats the kind of girl she is,miley i hate the way you are now. thats not the kind of girl you were acting it…i’m really feel bad for you miley, you are a cute girl not like that.but what happen to you? i just wrote this cause i love you al girl from here love you too well i mean little girl from here… bye2..

  44. Perhaps this was the parents’ idea. They seem like they are always so nice about these kinds of strange things.

  45. nick says:

    This is such a lie.
Miley even said so her self.

    Stupid enquirer making up stuff..

  46. alynn says:

So that easy for her to sneak in to her boyfriend’s room at night :)

  47. jenny says:

    miley is a bitch

  48. Vicious says:

Ldies and gentle..do u realize the Miley can do wat ever the hell she wants because she controls the house, she brings in the money!
Who knwos if the mr and mrs cyrus were broke as hell before there lil daughter walked in
SHE CAN DO WHAT SHE WANTS BECAUSE SHE KNOWS THEY CANT MAKE HER DO ANYTHING!
    She is their paycheckk!!

  49. Isa says:

What bugs me the most is the fact Miley’s boyfriend AGREED to do it that way. Of course Miley acting like a brat doesn’t surprise me anymore, that’s what happens when parents let the teenagers rule the house. She’s gonna freak out younger than LiLo did.

  50. kermit says:

I’m not putting my nose into what the Cyrus’s do with Miley and her boyfriend. It’s not up to me. Teenagers are biologically sexual beings, that’s nature. The age of consent in most of the world is an average of 16 and at Vatican City, for some reason, 12. I think 12 is too young but biology gives teenagers certain psychological/physical cravings that human beings have. Human beings share basic impulses, it’s cultures that interpret appropriateness differently. Thus cultural development and religious tenets come into play and if there are choices, it’s up to individual families. So, it’s all opinions and judgments expressed. I don’t condone nor oppose the Cyrus family’s choice here with Miley living with her boyfriend at their house (assuming this story is accurate).

  51. Trina says:

What is the point of having kids if they tell you what they’re going to do. She is a bad influnce and she disgusts me. My little cousin is banned from anything Miley because of the things she does. Of course teens have sex, but having them living in the house and disrespecting your parents is a no no. I’d let her leave and ruin her life and wouldn’t have anything to do with her if I were her parents. That’s why I do want kids.

  52. nunia says:

    Ugly she is discusting

  53. Blah says:

shit id stay with her familly who gives a fuck im sure its a BIG house and hes probobly only with her to further his career..haha

  54. Ellie says:

I personally think that if Miley is going to be up to anything, wouldnt it be better to be under her parents roof? Shes going to do it anyway and rather than get angry at her parents for not allowing her to they are being there for her and supporting her decisions, whether they are right or wrong, she needs to make her own mistakes.. i dont think there is anything wrong with it.. “Go Miley” :)

  55. catfreak says:

For the truth i think it is fine that her boyfriend moved in. as long as there not being stupid whats wrong with that. my mom let my sisters boyfriend move in and as long as rules are set everything is fine. and guess what she isnt even knocked up. so just cause her parents let her bf move in doesnt mean anything. and for all we know is she never threatened her parents to ove out. sorry but magazines are over rated and if you follow magazines your stupid.!!!

  56. catfreak says:

trina get a grip. that is why kids cant even talk to there parents cause they dont want kicked out. or cause parents are just to stupid to actually to talk about sex. and its her choice she has to make mistakes:p

  57. Koowie says:

Is anyone surprised that Miley Cyrus would do this?
