Fergie and Josh Duhamel have renewed their wedding vows in a private ceremony at a resort near Santa Barbara. A source told Radar Online that the two had an emotion-filled exchange in front of a minister on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Fergie of course stood by her man after the mini-scandal over his potential infidelity with a stripper in Atlanta, Georgia. It looks like they’ve taken steps to recommit to their relationship. US Weekly has the detail that it all was a surprise to Fergie, and that Josh whisked her away and back in a private helicopter.
The pair flew by private helicopter into the Santa Barbara Airport Wednesday, January 6 at just before 4 pm. They were met by a limo from the Bacara Resort which swept them to the lavish hotel 20 minutes away.
“They were both dressed nicely and walked right out to the bluff outside the hotel where weddings often take place,” an eyewitness told RadarOnline.com. “A minister was waiting for them.
“Fergie was crying and seemed very emotional,” the source said, adding that their private ceremony lasted less than 15 minutes.
As the sun went down the couple went into Bacara’s formal Miro restaurant where they were able to eat alone because it was before the restaurant had opened for the evening.
“They had the whole restaurant to themselves and left before the first customers came in,” the source said.
Hand-in-hand, Josh and Fergie left the hotel as quietly as they arrived, and returned to the airport for their trip back to Los Angeles.

The question is, did Fergie believe that Josh cheated? Is she forgiving him or just trusting his lies/side of the story? I saw the stripper’s interview on a Georgia radio station and I found her entirely believable. It’s possible she was out for the money, but I bought her story and she passed a polygraph with The Enquirer. According to how she told it she wasn’t going to come out with the news until the Enquirer told her they would publish it anyway. She said Josh approached her while she was working and that they spent the night together in a nearby hotel. She didn’t know who he was at first but then one of her coworkers clued her in. Josh allegedly “wanted sex for four or five hours” and watched porn in the room all night.
These two have chosen to forgive their issues and reconnect, but how long will it be until Josh strays again? Is the old saying “once a cheater…” true? I’ve always assumed that it was. If your man was cheating, would you forgive him? Would it make a difference if it was a pro like a hooker or a stripper or if it was a long term relationship on the side? Either one is a massive betrayal, but some women chose to accept it and move on.

There was a blind that came out when the cheating story was first getting a lot of attention that pretty much said that Josh cheated on her a lot but not actually with that stripper. The only reason they didn’t take any legal action against her was because they were worried that the others would come out of the woodwork. D-O-G.
Good that they are trying but I don’t think they will last-wasnt he worried about her partying at one point and then she wanted to fix the issue by trying for a baby? Now the cheating rumours-sounds like they have a lot of things to work out. Hope they are in therapy and that no babies come till they are in a really solid place.

They’re both hideous, act like morons, and so IMHO they deserve each other. I give it another year at most before divorce….that is, IF it’s a “real” relationship and not a beard or contract or whatever. I think Duhamel is ugly but Fergie is WAY WAY uglier. She’s like, a “1” on the 1-10 scale of hotness, and he’s maybe a 5 or 6. Not likely that this is real, so who cares anyways. But maybe he’s a piss fetishist? Ahh, true love!

I really hope these two are able to make it and become a success story. Forgiveness is the greatest gift one spouse can give to another, as long as it’s not taken for granted. I do believe “Once a cheater, always a cheater” but I also do NOT believe in absolutes (i.e. “always” and “never”) because absolutes are generally untrue. There are the (rare) cases where a cheater (even an abuser) has never done it again, and the relationship(s) have changed for the better. I hope this is one of them.
Seal & Heidi renew their vows every year, and their marriage is going strong. Maybe Josh felt the need to show Fergie just how much he loves her and wants his marriage to work. I hope so!
maybe this time their vows included a promise to “stay the heck away from hookers and strippers.” how short sighted of them not to have included that vow the first time.

I don’t see why people say their marriage might be fake. Fergie strikes me as the type who has absolutely no shame in her game. She usually lets it ALL hang out, so why would she have a fake marriage? That makes no sense to me. This marriage is real, but it’s unlikely to last very long with all their issues that others have mentioned.

MAYBE he is just looking to wipe the slate clean in their marriage, that this is his way of saying that he regrets what he may (or may not) have done to her. It is her perogative to forgive him, and I think it’s their life and if they both take the vows the second time around, maybe it’s more meaningful that the first, because now Fergie’s ayes are truly WIDE open! I dunno, I always root for the underdog, I guess…..
I don’t think I would have renewed a relationship that is almost expired anyway. Maybe they get an extra year for early renewal.
I think they truly love each other and want to make this work. Marriage is hard, but the rewards can be great. I wish them the very best.

Just because they don’t look good to you, why does that mean they should be unhappy?
Cheating is more of the norm today than NOT cheating. Unfortunately there are a lot of people out there who don’t feel they desserve to NOT be cheated on therefore fidelity isn’t a high priority. With a lot of these situations there is usually someone who is just afraid to be alone so they will keep whatever they have, even if they are disrespected. Sad, but true.
With these examples, I’ve just started to have little to no sympathy towards those who choose to stay. Fortunately their decisions only affects them and not me. 🙂 Good luck to ’em.

The question is whether he can do so out of the public eye. being in an open relationship and/or willing to forgive is one thing, being publically subjected to constant tabloid gossip and “humiliation” is something else entirely.

The last couple I knew who made a big to-do about their one year mark (“Still going strong!!!”) began their divorce proceedings a year later.

I think they have gone through a hella time and stuck the landing…this time. I think Josh has issues and so does Fergie, they have agreed to help each other work through them. I would like to think this would become more the norm than disposable marriage. Tia Leone and David Duchovney have weathered a storm of late as have Melanie Griffith and Antonio Bandaras ..at least they are trying! It’s a far better example to set than serial monogamy or casual hookups.
It seems a bit silly to renew after just one year, but whatever. In many cases it seems like a celebration of the marriage, but in this case, it seems like a band-aid.
I wouldn’t put up with cheating – to quote Liz Lemon, that’s a dealbreaker, ladies. If she chose to forgive and move on, good luck to her. I couldn’t do it, could never trust the other person again.

I don’t really give a fuck what you all think because (a) I only have one person in my life to answer to “the Creator” (b) who are u to judge and (c) if you are so busy with giving out your opions on me, you probably have plenty of issues that u need to deal with yourself but while you are giving your opions on me atleast someone else is getting a break.
Josh is ugly. His head is so huge and square. He looks like Frankenstein. I guess it’s hard to be over 6ft tall and not have a hugh head. But Hugh Jackman is over 6ft and not have a hugh head. So I guess Josh is just ugly.
