Queen Camilla turned up at Wimbledon today for the quarterfinals

The Princess of Wales is still MIA from her tennis-watching duties as royal patron of Wimbledon, but guess who turned up to the Royal Box today? Queen Camilla, in all of her horsey glory. Camilla is legitimately a tennis fan and she’s attended Wimbledon matches for years. I remember hearing that she was a big Rafa Nadal fan, but she’s turned out for a lot of Novak Djokovic’s matches over the years. That’s probably what she was expecting today – the quarterfinal between Djokovic and Alex de Minaur was supposed to be played on Centre Court today but de Minaur pulled out at the last minute (he got injured in his fourth round match). So Camilla is watching (as I write this) Elena Rybakina versus Elina Svitolina, and then a mixed doubles match (featuring a British team), then a legends match. What a weird show-court match schedule, right?

Anyway, Camilla looked nice at Wimbledon, I’m not going to lie. They just did her hair – the white-blonde color looks fresh, as does the blowout. Her giraffe-print dress is a repeat – she wore that last year in Kenya. Chanel purse, low heels. She’s ready to enjoy a day of tennis. Her sister Annabel is with her too. Also: Peter Phillips turned out today with his new girlfriend, Harriet Sperling. He’s gone all-in with her really quickly, this is like their sixth public outing in the past month.

I normally don’t have anything nice to say about Camzill, but I love her pin.

    • Proud Mary says:

You’re better person than me, surely. Because I can never muster the nerves to say anything nice about evil people. And she’s their grandame.

    • Aerie says:

I’ll join you and say she does the boozy blonde blowout very well.

    • The Robinson Group says:

      Rockweiller, in the house!

    • StillDouchesOfCambridge says:

Mistress Camilla out very often in white or creams to show an image of purity HAHA and trying to compensate for the fact that she couldnt wear white to her civil wedding because the QE thought she was vile for mistressing tampon charlie while married with kids, was divorced, such a bad person with no family value etc etc etc

  2. GoldenMom says:

“You know that if you make a mistake with a ball, you will be eaten, correct?”

Those kids look like she is not saying anything good to them.

  3. Jenny says:

This is the way to do the theme dressing for Wimbledon that Buttons so badly handles. Just do a white or off white and be done with it, don’t roll in wearing the color of a tennis ball.

  4. Tursitops says:

Ah, yes. A Raisin in the Sun.

  5. Harla A Brazen Hussy says:

I still can’t abide by “Queen” Camilla. It’s still too weird to see her referred to as “queen”, to see her wearing QEII’s jewelry and tiaras. In my mind she will forever be just Camilla Parker-Bowles, mistress to the Prince of Wales.

    • IFoxi says:

ITA. She is not a queen. She’s someone you wouldn’t give a 2nd glance to if she wasn’t infamous. Every time I see her referred to as queen, I yell silently “Consort!”.
      The Queen = QEII
The current queen Consort= Horsilla PB aka Queen Sidepiece.

      • Ramona says:

I just want to add here – Princess of Wales = Princess Diana.

      • Wagiman says:

And it was simply because QE2 was dying that tampon bullied her into that gross queen statement.. When it was QE2s celebration. She wasn’t a good mother, but she raised a truly awful son (and subsequent father).

  6. L4Frimaire says:

The purse looks like Dior, the Lady Dior made famous by Princess Diana. She’s hiding it under her jacket.

    • Amy Bee says:

I was just going to say the same thing about her bag. She does have a Chanel bag but it’s navy.

    • BeanieBean says:

Yeah, it’s the Lady Dior, which I really like, as well as that cute little Chanel box-like bag she has.

  7. Princessk says:

Camilla’s sister is a big time beneficiary from her royal connection.

  8. Lizzie Bathory says:

I think Camilla looks fine, but her sister really knocked it out of the park. Casual but classy separates, a decent bra & a great blazer. Take notes, Cam–there’s a whole world beyond housedresses!

    • one of the marys says:

I know that if I was Queen at that age I’d wear whatever makes me comfortable too.
Peter looks particularly smug for such an unappealing man

    • Unblinkered says:

Are we sure the woman with Camilla is her sister, she looks much younger and more like an official guiding her to her seat ?

Apparently the debtor Middletons were there today too, with the Tindalls. Shameless.

  9. Chaine says:

I still don’t understand why everyone gets so overdressed for a sports event. But Harriet Sperling looks lovely, such a fresh print and a nice summery style. Google says she is 44 but she looks a lot younger than that!

  10. Bev says:

Homely women. That’s all I got.

  11. Pebbles says:

I see they’re still trying hard to make Peter and that nurse gal happen.
