Miley Cyrus wore Celine & sunglasses to the Golden Globes: fine or annoying?

Miley Cyrus went to the Golden Globes as a nominee – she was nominated in Best Song, for “Beautiful That Way” from The Last Showgirl. Miley stayed true to herself, I guess, and wore this Celine dress which seemed slightly undercooked for the Globes. And yet, props to her for putting together a real look and not making an ass out of herself. Personally, I still haven’t gotten over her (alleged) buccal fat removal, which changed her face in a huge way. But other than that, she looks healthy and focused.

Ariana DeBose looked like the movie star she is at the Golden Globes – she wore a dramatic Oscar de la Renta which was perfect for her at this moment – classy, elegant, but not too “look at me” because she wasn’t a nominee this year.

Pamela Anderson also wore Oscar de la Renta – I saw her interview on E!, and she was just so honored to be nominated and invited to the show. She’s a really gentle soul, so I’m not going to say much about her dress. I will say that I love how her sons always have their mom’s back no matter what.

Amy Adams in Dolce & Gabbana – this was fine and the color was beautiful. I felt sorry for her because she was there for Nightbitch. She’s unfortunately going to be called “Nightbitch’s Amy Adams” for a while.

Let’s end with Isabella Rosselini, looking spectacular in Dolce & Gabbana. My guess is that the red is supposed to mimic something specific with the Catholic Church? Because she was nominated for Conclave (she didn’t win, boo).

Oh wow Pam’s son is a handsome one.

    ❤️ for Pam

I’m not sure if Miley had a buccal fat removal. When I watched the video, it seemed more likely that she had a lip lift, as her entire front teeth are now visible when her face is at rest.

  4. Serena says:

That buccal far surgery looks awful on every body and just make them look old. Miley looks good, despite that, but she needs to hire someone that knows what to do with her hair cos that ain’t it.

Pamela Anderson is a truly lovely human being. She did good raising her boys and they have become solid men. I’ll never forget how she invited Lily Allen to her documentary premiere and, while she criticized the movie made about her life, she totally got why Lily Allen would do it and still had a woman’s back and stood up for her, while vehemently criticizing the movie. Let’s not forget when Borat stuffed her into a bag and carried her kicking and screaming pretending to kidnap her without her prior knowledge or consent and then put it in a hit movie while everyone laughed! I feel like Pamela has seen the worst the patriarchy has to offer and now she’s here to slow burn it all down in her own way, by loving her kids; by showing kindness to others; and lifting all women. Protect Pamela!

Lily James (not Lily Allen) was the actor involved in Tommy and Pamela.

I never knew she was not in on the “joke” in Borat. OHMYGOD. That is horrifying. She must have been terrified. I know that part of his gimmick in those films was dealing with people that didn’t know he was playing a character, but I always assumed she knew.

Pam’s my home girl. She lives on Vancouver Island about an hour north of me in a town called Ladysmith where she grew up. She’s renovating her grandmother’s house for a show on HGTV. She is such a survivor, I wish her nothing but happiness.

@Jaded hello fellow Islander! Pam was on my flight out of Nanaimo once, years ago. Before I realized it was her, I noticed her beautiful long ivory coat and amazing legs. She was chatting with the flight crew and seemed so humble, kind & lovely; it really changed my perception of her.

OMG Ariana’s look is my favorite of what I’ve seen here on celebitchy, I love that rich warm brown

Agree, I’ve felt pretty meh with the occasional nah on most of the dresses but this is an absolute knockout. She looks spectacular and it’s an amazing dress.

  7. KC says:

    Isabella Rossellini looks amazing.

  8. Krista says:

Isabella is such a beautiful woman and is beautifully aging as a woman should. Love her.

  9. M says:

Whatever Miley did to her face/mouth, it makes it look like she’s wearing dentures that don’t fit. Not cute.

  10. Jilly says:

It makes me sad. I think they all look ozempic-fied. Not Pammy though.

  11. L says:

I think Miley’s new veneers is what makes her look very different too. Idk if she had buccal fat removal.. To me it seems she did something with her eyelids/ eye area?

I think she looked good. Although the sunglasses is kinda annoying

  12. sevenblue says:

Miley looks amazing. I think there was a short while she looked a little scary, now everything probably settled. I hope she doesn’t mess up with her face too much. I don’t even wanna think about this veneers trend in Hollywood. It doesn’t even fit their mouths. I just saw a post about Ben Affleck before and after he did his teeth in 90’s. His doctor did an amazing job, you can’t tell he did anything if you didn’t see before pics. I don’t know why these veneers are so terrible in this day and age.

    • grniewnie says:

yeah for a while she looked like she chewed on a lemon. She shouldn’t have done it IMO…Angelina had chubby cheeks when she was younger and as you age, it all deflates…best to hold on to all the facial fat you can! Miley didn’t ever strike me as that vain…she tended to go with more classic makeup and style (when not in costume). Kind of an odd choice for her.

  13. Jessica says:

Isabella’s dress may be an homage to Catholic Cardinals. They wear that colour red as their fancy gowns… they are called the princes of the church.

  14. wendy says:

Pamela Anderson is the role model I didn’t know I needed in my middle-age, post menopausal life but I love how she has embraced her natural (and stunning) self — I feel like she understands the ICK …

I know Miley isn’t everyone’s cup of tea — I adore her — she survived the Hannah Montana years, her father and God only knows what else — she does good work through her foundation and I can’t hold the crazy against her — yea, she went batshit for awhile and came out the other side.

  15. Gwen says:

I think Miley’s look was more suited to a music awards show, too rock n roll for the Globes.

One thing that would have made a huge difference overall would be if she could cover up those awful tattoos. They really cheapen the whole look.

  16. Lucy2 says:

I love Amy’s gown, very pretty. I saw Nightbitch, it’s on Hulu, and REALLY good. I’m not even a mom and it was very moving.
