I haven’t had a Covid booster since the Biden administration. I was hoping to get the booster alongside the new autumn flu shot, which is what I’ve been doing in recent years. My arm hurts like hell and I’m dog-tired for a few days, and then everything is fine. I haven’t gotten anything more than a couple of stomach viruses in recent years, and I largely credit the Covid boosters & flu shots. Well, the current head of Health and Human Services is a f–king lunatic who hates science, immunology and vaccines. Robert Kennedy Jr. surrounds himself with quacks who reinforce his already-dangerous beliefs. Well, one of those nutcases is telling the Daily Beast that Kennedy plans to pull the Covid vaccine off the US market in the coming months.
The Trump administration will move to pull the COVID vaccine off the U.S. market “within months,” one of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s closest associates has told the Daily Beast. Dr. Aseem Malhotra, a British cardiologist who has repeatedly claimed in the face of scientific consensus that the vaccines are more dangerous than the virus, told the Daily Beast that Kennedy’s stance is shared by “influential” members of President Donald Trump’s family. Like Kennedy himself, no Trumps hold any scientific qualifications.
Malhotra is a leading adviser to the controversial lobby group Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Action, which is seen as an external arm of Kennedy’s agenda as Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary.
He told the Beast that many of those closest to RFK Jr. have told him they “cannot understand” why the vaccine continues to be prescribed, and that a decision to remove the vaccine from the U.S. market pending further research will come “within months,” even if it is likely to cause “fear of chaos” and bring with it major legal ramifications.
“It could [happen] in a number of stages, including learning more about the data,” said Malhotra, who said there was an ongoing review into so-called “vaccine injuries” by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). “But given the increased talk of vaccine injuries in the past few weeks among the administration, it could also come with one clean decision.”
I’m not going to panic about this until it actually happens. Granted, I absolutely believe Kennedy is capable of doing this, and I believe that the Trump administration is populated by dangerous wingnuts who believe that “the vaccines are more dangerous than the virus.” My argument is… hasn’t Kennedy said that vaccines should be about personal choice? That’s obviously bullsh-t, but he shouldn’t get in the way of people CHOOSING to get the Covid vaccine/booster. Anyway, just a reminder – go and get your flu shots & Covid boosters sooner rather than later. In my area, I’m already getting emails about the new flu shot, so it’s definitely already available. I had a “light” case of covid and it knocked me down for three weeks. (And I had hypertension after, but maybe that was a coincidence). The thought of dealing with that or worse again really terrifies me. I can’t believe we are still dealing with the politicization of a real illness! Like, seriously??? No one’s making you mask up anymore, can we just leave it to real experts?
I wonder if one can obtain vaccines while abroad? Not that I have any trips planned 🙁

@manda Hypertension is not a coincidence. Unfortunately with my second dose of covid vaccine I ended up in hospital hypertensive -16-10.
And covid leaves me so tired for weeks.
I took the first two vaccines and after that, well I endure the illness but I wish I didn’t have any reaction to the vaccines. It would be easier to take them, especially because I have asthma, but I really don’t know what’ s best.
My Husband and I both had brutal cases of Covid pre-vaccine. my husband landed in the ICU for 10 days, while i was laid out flat on the couch at home, sick as a dog for weeks. We have been vigilant with our boosters and flu shots ever since, and knock on wood, only had one case each since, and very mild.
Of course this news comes out just a new, highly contagious variant is spreading. I guess killing off 600K Americans wasnt enough for DJT/ SMGDH.
We’re vaxxed and double boosted and my hubby and I both just got Covid. That variant is no joke. Feeling that bad WITH the vaccine? And any natural immunity left from prior contagions? I don’t want to think of how bad we would’ve felt without the vaccine.
The only time I got Covid is when I went too long between vaccinations and I got so sick. I ended up in the hospital. My lungs felt like I was drowning on land. And a $5,000 bill from the hospital. I was in the hospital for over a week. And that’s with the good insurance.
Not only is this administration celebrating lay offs as a profit tool. Now they want to kill us all. Which for this administration. That’s fine for them. Since we are disposable Americans if you are not the elite.

This guy is such a menace. I write about medicine and draw research from the NIH and CDC, and from academic journals. The increasing number of emty links I am encoutering, where entire studies and academic research has been been deleted, is beyond alarming. Please excuse me while I go cry. Just had my first bout of Covid ever. It was supposedly ‘mild’ I’m still infectious, and probably will be for weeks, yet. Fatigue, brain fog, my tinnitus has notched up to 11, almost unbearable, the ear that has the tinnitus is also blocked so I’m practically deaf in it, feeling either cold or hot almost always, feel really depressed? On the verge of tears for days. My blood pressure is pushing to be high, after it always being normal, have had a headache for days, oh, and here’s a new one. Hip pain. Like major hip pain. On my left side only, and almost debilitating. When I was still having mild symptoms last week, and within the 3-5 day window, went to a few different urgent care clinics to try and get Paxlovid. Sadly none of the places I went would prescribe it for me. I’m pretty livid about this right now.
I’ve taken the covid vaccine ever since it came out, and I was due to get my next shot first week of October, like I always have done. And this MFer wants to TAKE IT OFF THE MARKET? HE’S GONNA KILL US ALL!
Only plus side to this so far is my husband and brother in law (who lives with us) have not caught it.

For the left hip pain look up “tennis ball exercises for back and hip pain” . Thought my Dr was joking but, very effective and I was a major doubter. You don’t have to lay on the floor. Back up to the wall or closed door and p!ace ball on site hip and roll back and f orth

Americans will have to wait until the fall to get covid shots in Canada. Only a certain number of vaccines can be sold ahead of the fall season. The shots available will cost you anywhere from CA$75 to $200.
I’ll travel to Canada if I have to … this is an unfolding disaster.

Please also wear N95 respirators to reduce transmission and protect yourselves. These are great vaccines but not sterilizing, so avoiding infection altogether means masking, ventilation and air filtration. And if vaccines are taken away…that’s your only recourse. Pressure your elected officials about vaccines now, this is central to a civilized society.
