Mariah Carey announces Christmastime in Las Vegas residency

It has been seven years since Mariah Carey released her last album (but only if you believe in the passage of time, which our Mimi does not), so fans will be rejoicing when Here For It All finally comes out next week. And the release arrives not a moment too soon! Because while it’s still not yet Mimi Season — the hallowed two-month period when her 1994 smash hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You” dominates the airwaves, if not the whole planet — it is time to start planning your annual Mimi Season festivities. Parties that could include attending Mariah’s newly-announced Christmastime residency at the Park MGM in Las Vegas. There will be 10 shows between November 28 and December 13, and tickets go on sale Saturday. Unless you have access to the presale which starts… in just a few hours.

The Lambily has just one thing they need for Christmas, and Mariah Carey is delivering. The Queen of Christmas announced that she’ll be bringing her holiday show, Mariah Carey’s Christmastime in Vegas, to the Dolby Live at MGM.

“Excited to bring Christmastime to the Dolby Live at Park MGM in Vegas!” The five-time Grammy winner shared on Instagram Monday (Sept. 15).

Her run of 10 Christmas-themed shows kicks off the day after Thanksgiving, on Friday, Nov. 28, and runs through Dec. 13. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Sept. 20, at 10 a.m. PT. Ticket presales will be available to MGM Rewards members and Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers; presale begins Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 10 a.m. PT. These shows come after the singer’s The Celebration of Mimi Live in Las Vegas residencies in 2024 and 2025.

The celebrated vocalist boasts 19 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1s to date, with her holiday classic, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” being among them. The carol, which has ruled the chart during the holiday season since 2017, snagged four straight weeks at the all-genre chart’s summit in 2024, bringing its total week at the top to 18 so far.

MTV recently celebrated Carey’s long-running career at the Video Music Awards, when the network honored her with the Video Vanguard Award on Sept. 7. The iconic singer delivered a career-spanning medley of some of her greatest hits before accepting the award, which was also her first Moon Person. Joked Carey in her acceptance speech, “What in the Sam Hill took you so long?!”

“What in the Sam Hill took you so long?” Wait, did we just catch Mariah Carey acknowledging time?! No no, I kid the multi-millionaire diva as we approach the season of her minting the most money. This is her time of year, after all (even though years do not ever and will not ever crash into her orbit). Here For It All will carry fans through October until we officially cross into the domain of the Queen of Christmas, where our wishes are sentimental and humble, and no one suffers from hideous lighting. Just please, I beseech all the lambs preparing to flock: let’s not play rewind on last year’s shenanigans, where fights broke out at multiple concerts and sometimes, most blasphemously, even during the song. Don’t ruin the magic for yourself, the rest of the audience, and definitely not for Mimi — she doesn’t have time for that sh-t. NOT that time affects her at all!

Ugh, have been waiting forever to see her again (I last saw her in concert when I was in high school!). Me and my bestie just last week promised we would see her whenever she was anywhere near us… Alas as a Canadian and WOC I will definitely not be traveling to the US anytime soon. The wait continues 🙁
