Taylor Swift & Caitlin Clark hung out in the VIP box during the Chiefs game

The Kansas City Chiefs won a game! They beat the Detroit Lions last night at Arrowhead. For the past two seasons, Taylor Swift has tried to make all of the Chiefs’ home games. This season, Taylor has been attending the home games, but she’s found a way to really hide from the cameras. No more pap-strolls in the tunnel, no more front-and-center in the VIP box. We were told that it was mostly a security issue, and I believe that. I believe her security was a big reason. But I also think she was making a point to go underground ahead of her album release too.

Well, in any case, at last night’s game, Taylor was seen and photographed a little bit. Getty got some photos of her in the VIP box, and ESPN had some cutaways to Taylor as well – People Mag had some screengrabs, including Taylor wearing her large diamond engagement ring. In the broadcast cutaways, you could see Taylor hugging Ed Kelce (Travis’s father) even though he was fully giving interviews to everybody about their engagement! LOL. Interestingly, it also looks like Taylor invited Caitlin Clark to the game, and Caitlin was in the VIP box as well. Caitlin has been battling injuries for months, so I guess she has some free time right now.

  1. SarahLee says:

Caitlin would have had free time anyway as the WNBA season is over.

  2. Tis True Tis True says:

The WNBA Finals are currently being played. Caitlin’s team is out, so her season is over. Hopefully she can heal and the WNBA can get its shit together and learn to deal with having her in the league.

    • Maddy says:

The WNBA Finals are over. Spoiler: The Aces swept the Mercury.

    • Dee says:

Clark’s team was eliminated almost two weeks ago.

Not only was CC team out weeks ago but the League has figured out how to deal with CC. That’s why she’s been so injury prone this season. CC never actually worked on her deficiencies and bad ball playing tics she’s picked up along the way are all working to her disadvantage.

I gotta be honest…this past weekend…seeing TS getting drugged for appropriate FILTH 😡 across social media…has been….something 😜

    • Nicole says:

It’s definitely been something. I’m sure it’ll die down, but I can’t say I haven’t been disappointed in the (appropriate) draggings.

  4. Smalltowngirl says:

Caitlin is a lifelong Chiefs fan and a big Swiftie (she went to the Indianapolis shows) and this is either the second or third time she has shown up with Taylor in the box, which isn’t just a VIP box, it’s Travis’s personal box that he has so his friends and family can watch him play.

As for Ed, it seems pretty clear they are ok with him talking and Jason and Travis have joked that they never tell him anything that they don’t want other people to know.

  5. QuiteContrary says:

Taylor’s outfit at this game seemed less high-fashion than Kylie Kelce-adjacent, what with her jersey. It looked cute.

  6. imara0219 says:

Those dog whistles getting louder, right? Can y’all hear them yet

  7. Becks1 says:

Supporting other women doesn’t mean that Taylor is immune from criticism. That’s what Swifties think it should mean. But it doesn’t.

Over the past two weeks I have seen so many Black women (and some white women) explaining the reasons and rationale for their criticisms and fans are just like “you hate women.”

    Uh, no?

    • imara0219 says:

CC is very on brand for Taylor right now. The way CC showed her whole tail this season and her behavior (as well as the behavior of her “crew”) to other Black women/athletes/sports personnel has been appalling.
