Star & Us Weekly: celebri-tots have nice clothes, shrinks, butlers

star

Both Star and Us Weekly have variations on the “celebrity kids are insane” stories. Star actually takes the nicer slant, calling celebrity kids Shiloh, Suri, Harlow, and others “Billion Dollar Babies”. Do you think these kids really have “shrinks on call 24/7”? Well, we know Suri doesn’t. Xenu wouldn’t stand for it. Maybe Tori and Dean’s Stella does? How about “butlers in tuxedos”? If we’re talking tuxedo t-shirts, maybe that one is Matthew and Camila’s little Levi. Meanwhile, Us Weekly condemns the celebrity kids with “Growing Up Too Fast: Over-the-top parties, private jets, personal stylists, inside the world of Tinseltown’s cutest A-Listers”. Like any day now Suri is going to doing lines with Lindsay Lohan at the bathroom of Bungalow 8. But it is weird that both tabloids chose the same photo of Suri, isn’t it? Hm..

Anyway, very few details have been released from the cover stories, but I can take a wild guess that both are just filler pieces about the “extravagant” lives these kids lead. Some of which is probably true, some not so much. But there is this little piece from Us Weekly about Suri:

There’s a reason why you never see Suri Cruise in denim: She “hates jeans and favors dresses,” a source tells the latest Us Weekly (on newsstands now), which reveals surprising new details on the lavish lifestyles of Hollywood kids.

At the tender age of 3, Suri, daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, also has a penchant for heels — and pricey designer bags. Us Weekly reports that she even carries around an $850 Ferragamo purse!

For more on Hollywood kids – including how Cruise had a “private playground” built for Suri; which star once dropped a staggering $25,000 on her sons’ birthday; the secret way Brad Pitt calms down a “flustered” Shiloh and which Tinseltown tots have personal stylists – grab the new Us Weekly today!

[From Us Weekly]

Is this breaking news? Does this deserve a cover story? No and no. Anyone who has read anything about Tom Cruise, Katie or Suri over the past few years knows that Suri is a little princess who wears expensive doll clothes. And there are many celebrity kids who also have nice things too. I remember seeing Angelina and Empress Zahara with matching $800 purses at one point too. Yes, celebrity parents splurge on their beloved children. As do non-celebrity parents. Shocking!

ha ha, i cannot believe this is serious.
it is when i see this kind of stuff, i realize this world is complete f%^&ing nuts.

  2. Melanie says:

Adorable clothes. You are so right Kaiser. I think is is based on the parents how the child is dressed. If the mom is a fashionesta, the kid will be dressed to impress. Levi is precious.

  3. LOVE ANGELINA says:

They shouldn’t do stories on the kids. This is beyond bullsh*t. This is to much. Someone is gonna have to make an example of them. I would sue them so good.

  4. teri says:

All of these children are really cute but dressing them up for show and tell is a pedaphiles wet dream. Keep it cute and simple, no need to have your daughter blow kisses and be overly affectionate to strangers. Suri is no different than being in beauty pagents and I think the parents enjoy all the attention she’s getting from adult men.

  5. andrea says:

i cannot wait until suri gets older. i think they both picked that photo of her b/c it’s one of the brattiest-looking shots of her.

also, one more reason to love johnny depp: you see either of his kids here – or ever? nope. i think most of the kids on these covers are not actively pimped, with the exception of suri and the brange’s kids, but johnny has managed to keep his kids almost completely out of the press, like mj. if they can do it, so can the others.

  6. lucy2 says:

I agree that they shouldn’t do stories on the kids. The parents chose to be celebrities, the little kids didn’t.

  7. Gwen says:

Tabloids take note – in that bottom photo of Shiloh and Zahara, they’re both wearing PINK!

  8. irishserra says:

“The secret way Brad Pitt calms down a “flustered” Shiloh??”

    Creepy…

  9. mollyb says:

Levi is such a tiny little munchkin. He looks like a 12 month old! I do think he’s the cutest boy celeb tot, though.

  10. Obvious says:

Nahla and Harlow are too cute for words. We see Suri and Shiloh all the time but Harlow and Nahla are precious!!!!!

  11. free says:

anyone know what’s wrong with little Levi? he looks like maybe, perhaps he has dwarfism?? poor thing

  12. CC says:

    @free

Levi’s just small for his age. If he had dwarfism his limbs would be stunted and too small for his body. He’s tiny, but his proportions are fine. It’s not unusual, small and skinny toddlers often grow up to be normal sized, even tall adults.

  13. Harper says:

I always forget how adorable Harlow Madden is! That picture of her is precious!

  14. dee says:

I remember reading a story about that $800 purse. The company that made the handbag saw Angelina carrying it around so they sent her a free mini-me version for their daughter. I guess Angelina decided to keep it because Zahara loved carrying it around.

All these kids cute but it’s wierd seeing them on tabliods.

  15. Madelyn Rose says:

Awww! I LOVE that picture of Zahara in her sunglasses!!! She is a beauty with so much attitude!

  16. Liz says:

Dee , Suri made have gotten her bag free too celebs and their kids get sent tons of free stuff

  17. nnn says:

Levi McCanaughley is born like 2 or 3 days before the JP twins.

He is jut a small baby compared to those long legged and tall Knox, Viv and Shiloh who seem to have taken after Voight’s height and leggy frame.

Does anybody been struck by the resemblance between Levi and Salma Hayek’s daughter or is it just me ? They looks like twins features wise, skintone wise, even petite frame wise.

  18. Whuh? says:

It’s true that Angelina was given a matching bag for Zahara, but the key here is that it was FREE. It was a gift when the designer saw Angie carrying his bag.

  19. maya says:

Whuh, how do you know that Suri’s bag wasn’t free as well? Do you think the Jolie-pitts are the only stars that get free stuff?
According to Access Hollywood, the designer sent matching bags to Katie and Suri for Christmas.

  20. Melanie says:

I guess the story is true. If three year olds get free $800.00 handbags, they may be a little messed up if they have to make due with Coach bags like the rest of us.

  21. ThunderC*nt says:

Aah..we all know better looking kids. None of these kids are too special looking but some of them look “special”. I’ve always just seen it as the progeny exposing all of the plastic surgery of the parents. Average folks have better looking kids, in my opinion.

  22. Melanie says:

True that, Thunder. Time will tell, I suppose. I wonder what the youngest celeb kid to ever have plastic surgery to cover up a familial deformity was?

  23. Shannon says:

Well obviously some of this stuff is way over the top, but I actually think it’s great that these kids are in therapy. They probably need it, with all the weird crap they have to deal with that normal kids will never have to go through. I’m sure the paparazzi are terrifying.

  24. Melanie says:

Did you ever see the film Mommy Dearest? That is how I picture being a celebutot. I am sure alot of them are happy and well adjusted people…

  25. e-non says:

yeah, the bag was a freebie; and considering all the free advertising when those photos hit the internet, a damned good bargain for the brand.

    those sunglasses are killing me…

  26. gee_gee says:

Shut up, ovaries. Cannot have. Do not want.

  27. cara says:

god knows what kind of people they will be when they grow up,it’s sad

  28. Emily says:

Is it just me, or has US photoshopped Suri’s eyes so they look more death-glary? She looks a lot scarier on that cover.

  29. Cheyenne says:

I remember that bag; it was a Valentino. Found a pic:

    http://handbagdujour.com/tag/zahara-jolie-pitt/

Scroll down to the second photo. It says Angie’s bag cost almost $1700, not $800.

  30. jules says:

Not that anyone here is making a big stink about their spending habits, but….Even if the stuff wasn’t free, do people expect them to buy purses from Walmart? Some women could spend a month’s salary on their purse and no one would know or blink an eye. But a celeb spends what equates to the tiniest sliver of their income, and people frown. It’s really not even a splurge to them, they have THAT much money. If you must, complain about how much money they have for what they do, not about how much (or truly little) of it thery spend on their kids.

  31. Honestly? says:

Sigh.. Aww look at Shilo. How freak’n cute is she in that monkey hate.
    Cluck cluck cluck

  32. nana says:

the kids here are adorable but im lookng for Dannielyn. That girl is one of most appropriately dressed in hollywood.
