The Sussexes: Tom Bower ‘crossed the line from criticism into fixation’

The Times of London published a preview excerpt of Tom Bower’s latest book on Friday. For years, I’ve referred to Bower as a rotten old fart and I stand by it. For years, Bower has been singularly devoted to lying about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, denigrating them and attempting to “obliterate” them, in his own words. Bower is quite literally the dregs of royal media, and it’s painful enough to see the British tabloids publish and promote his deranged rantings and blatant lies. For the Times to publish an excerpt is particularly gross, because the Times is supposed to be a more legitimate British outlet. Well, in the past fifteen months or so, Prince Harry and Meghan have *finally* changed strategies and they’re now regularly pushing back and disputing lies and misinformation on the record. Hours after the Times published the excerpt from Bower’s book, the Sussexes’ spokesperson issued this statement:

“Mr Bower’s commentary has long crossed the line from criticism into fixation. This is someone who has publicly stated, ‘the monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life,’ language that speaks for itself. He has made a career out of constructing ever more elaborate theories about people he does not know and has never met. Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those seeking deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find him… in The – once respected – Times.”

[Via GB News]

On Twitter, someone pointed out that GB News was one of the few outlets (American or British) to publish the Sussexes’ statement in full. Which is crazy as well, and it speaks to how many outlets fear Harry and Meghan speaking for themselves and pushing back on the decade-long hate campaign. The Sussexes are correct that Bower has been and is now fixated with them and everyone has known for years that he’s making this sh-t up as he goes along.

As for the excerpt published in the Times… some of it was about Invictus, which I’m covering separately because the Invictus organization issued their own statement. Bower tried to drag them into his buffet of bullsh-t too and they weren’t having it. But obviously, Bower is still obsessed with blaming Meghan for ripping apart the Windsors with her very presence. One of the biggest headlines from the Times’ excerpt was actually about Queen Camilla being a bitch about Meghan. Surprise, that’s probably the only truthful statement here, that Camilla was a huge part of the hate campaign against Meghan.

‘If you don’t mind, get your finger out of my face,” Meghan Markle snapped at William. The teatime reconciliation meeting between the brothers and their wives had spun out of control. Sitting in the Cambridges’ recently redecorated 20-room Kensington Palace apartment, soon after the Sussexes returned from their honeymoon in June 2018, Harry watched the confrontation escalate.

William’s dislike of Meghan had been obvious after his warning to Harry before their engagement. “It’s gone too quickly,” William had said about the speed of Harry’s relationship with “the American actress”. William’s suspicion of Meghan was echoed by his wife.

While Meghan’s certainty of purpose had seduced Harry, her talents had alarmed his brother and Kate. Both knew Harry’s problems — he’d had a damaged youth, confused by drink, drugs and therapy after his mother’s death, and had been unable to cement a balanced relationship with a woman. Both evidently saw Meghan as a threat rather than an ally.

The Cambridges believed that Meghan was not reconciled to what was deemed her destiny in London. She, they thought, lamented Harry’s unlikely chances of one day being king, just as she regretted the possibility that she would never be the queen. With Meghan’s encouragement, Harry started to move beyond the Palace’s control. Instead of the likes of his colourless Uncle Edward, Harry refused any longer to accept his fate as the superfluous “spare”.

William’s original fears were soon realised. Meghan had become a divisive agent. To please her, Harry was ignoring his old friends. He even changed his telephone number without telling his family. The jovial lad about town became possessed by seeking revenge. Increasingly, his character mirrored Meghan’s. Emotionally, he veered towards extremes. Simple dislikes became passionate hatred. “Meghan’s brainwashed Harry,” Camilla told a friend.

[From The Times]

As I said, I’m sure the only factual statement here is that Camilla was “telling friends” alllll of her thoughts about Harry and Meghan. The same with Prince William and Kate, whose “friends” regularly speak to convenient idiots like Tom Bower. Beyond that, it’s just sort of pitiful. Meghan didn’t want Harry to be king, my god.

  1. Hypocrisy says:

Tom Bower isn’t just a vile hateful old man he’s dangerous and needs to face some consequences for his words that are all lies when it comes to anything he says about the Sussex’s especially Meghan. I hope they take legal action because I believe bower is a very real threat especially with the Invictus games events that will be there soon.

    • Beth says:

They’d have to prove they’d actually been damaged by his deranged nonsense and much of the stuff is so ridiculous that normal people don’t take him seriously. Probably why neither Charles nor the Beckhams sued. Although Charles did comment that Bower’s toilet seat lie was ‘crap’, lol!

Mind you, the Mail got a bloody nose re: something incorrect Bower wrote about an organisation in his hit-job on Jeremy Corbyn – his publisher had to cough up 😁

  2. TheresaJanes says:

Im glad they responded but i dont feel like the statement was well-worded. Of course, the media is now able to say, based on the language in the statement, that “Harry/Meghan have ATTACKED a Royal reporter.”
They should have let this one slide and not responded. Now, we are back to shades of 2020-2021 when the Media used Harry/Meghan to distract from the disasters in the Royal family. Now the conversation is “HARRY IS LASHING OUT AGAIN! MEGHAN IS ANGRY,” when, if they had NOT responded, ppl would still be focused on how the Royals protected Andrew. If I had written that statement it would have read “Harry/Meghan would like to know that they continue with their endeavors to protect children, support soldiers and defend the defenseless and marginalized.” AND THATS IT! Not name-calling Tom Bower.

    • Beth says:

Disagree strongly. Whatever they do or don’t do or say, the Sussexes will be attacked by the usual culprits. This also involved Invictus, so they were not going to let it go with a few mild words. And their spokesman, Liam McGuire, is a veteran himself and has worked with Invictus.

    • Kikrk says:

I thought the statement was very well worded. It included the most damning statement Bower ever made about them — he wants them unalived, as in he wants them DEAD.

Did you notice how TB copy catted Spare? Wouldn’t have a problem if Harry / Random House sued for copyright infringement, or had copied bit removed from US.

Meanwhile — Did you see the Epstein, Andrew, Mandelson photo unearthed by ITV this weekend? Also, did you hear Epstein donated $50K (US) in 2013 to Africa wildlife charity Wild Aid — the same year P.Willy became Wild Aid ambassador?

    • Me at home says:

It’s a good point about not giving Bowers air. But I’m glad the Sussexes responded this time, because (1) Bowers went after Invictus, and (2) the “once respected” Times actually serialized this cr@p. Is Bowers Willy’s man (his book is about Willy and Kate), Camilla’s man (he quotes her “friends,” although if he’s talking, he’s lying), or is he just a vile, gutter hit-man-for-hire?

Anyway, I think the Invictus stuff needed to be rebutted asap, and as hard as possible, on every platform that picks it up. God forbid this is the first wedge of another Willy hostile takeover attempt.

    • Amy Bee says:

I don’t see anything wrong with the statement and I think something needed to be said. Harry and Meghan remained quiet when Bowers’ first book came out and the press and derangers assumed because they didn’t respond that everything Bowers wrote was the truth. So much so that we had a journalist repeating the Bowers lie that Doria was in jail on live TV.

      • Chrissie T says:

Yes I had the same thought. I think it’s more about pushing back at a newspaper like the Times serialising this nonsense and if it’s in the Times other outlets will repeat it. Bowers is an idiot but he is a dangerous racist and the Times publishing his attacks could give it some credibility. It needs to be challenged.

    • Ginger says:

No. Their statement was well worded and strong. This horrible, racist POS has been lying and going after them for YEARS and their statement was professional and called him out. It was perfect.

    • Dee(2) says:

I have to disagree strongly here. Your statement doesn’t address any of the things that Tom Bower has done for the last 5 years that they have not explicitly addressed. Calling Meghan a brazen hussy, saying is that it’s Meghan that he is after, saying that Harry is brainwashed, implying that Harry and Meghan are misusing allocated funds for Invictus, lying about them on numerous television shows and in books.

They aren’t name calling him by pointing out that this is the behavior of a fixated individual. Someone that could harm them, or encourage harm against them. These are two people that have active death threats against them constantly, and have had people serve prison sentences for threatening them. “We’re just doing our humanitarian work and don’t want to think about this”, is not sufficient.

These people aren’t just randoms that don’t like Harry and Meghan and are complaining about it over coffee. This man is published in a national respected newspaper defaming them. People go off the previous reputation of individuals and institutions all the time to give it an air of legitimacy. That’s why it took a good year before people realize that Newsweek was basically a tabloid now.

His behavior should not be reacted to as simple criticism and he, the Times and their editor should absolutely be called out for even thinking about publishing something like this.

    • Nicole says:

Here y’all go. “They need to respond, why don’t they respond?” to “They shouldn’t have said it like that, they should’ve said instead-” my god, give it a rest. I actually love a smooth clapback, and their statement was chock full of them. “The once respected Times” I cackled.

      • sunniside up says:

It was once respected then Murdoch took it over and turned it into an upmarket scandal rag.

    • Unblinkered says:

      @TeresaJanes – I agree.
I totally get the desire to respond but If they’d ignored Bower’s book, as I’d have personally advised, the press would have remained focused on Andrew MW’s latest shambles. Bower’s recent tome on the Beckhams went largely unheeded.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for H&M that some of the British media will pick up on Bower’s relentless negativity (and, yes, deranged comments) and make H&M’s point independently for them.
      You never know.

      • Julia says:

@unblinkered They were right to respond because Bower attacked Invictus. The press would not have ignored the book. Any excuse ti get clicks. The UK press love the Beckhams at the moment so you can’t compare the reaction to the books.

    • Amy Too says:

Doubling down on Beth’s “Disagree strongly…”

This HAD to be refuted and responded to. And where is the “attacking” or “lashing out”? They quote Bower back to himself to prove how fixated and insane he is. That’s not attacking. That’s technically “amplifying” what Bower himself said and wants to be put out in the world. They’re basically just holding a mirror up to Bower and being like “Really? This is what you’re saying?”

  3. Tessa says:

News for keen Camilla does not like you either. Bower makes the keens look like a pair of self righteous hypocrites. And bower scooter was out of line advising harry about his marriage. And they dated 2 years

    • Julia says:

@Theresajanes I disagree. The media would have spun this negatively whatever the Sussexes did but is is important for the historical record that they called him out for being deranged and fixated. It draws people’s attention to that fact. Why shouldn’t they attack someone who has relentlessly attacked them? Weak, ineffectual statements are pointless! You might as well say nothing.

    • Miranda says:

William’s “iT’s ToO sOooOn!” shit is still funny to me. 2 years is perfectly normal and respectable! He acts like Harry met Meghan, and then the next day they jetted off to Vegas to get married by an Elvis impersonator. What would’ve been long enough for him?

And yes, that’s a rhetorical question. I realize that it’s not actually about how long Harry and Meghan knew each other. It’s about Harry relatively quickly finding a beautiful, intelligent, devoted wife who dotes on him, while William dragged his feet for a decade and still ended up having to settle for a manic Afghan hound in a coatdress who grabs his ass in public just to antagonize him and makes passive-aggressive remarks about his drinking.

      • Tessa says:

Scooter. acts like.a disapproving mother in law to be. Saying it’s too soon for them to marry. He is so ridiculous

      • cws says:

Agree in spirit, but to be accurate, they got publicly engaged after 1.5 years and married around 2 years

    • Me at home says:

Yeah, Scooter comes off pretty badly too, in particular for being petty and hypocritical. And Kate is basically “what Scooter said” for her own unexpressed reasons, which isn’t a great look either. Bowers admits Scooter put his finger in Meghan’s face as they sat in the Keen’s newly-renovated 20-room apartment (thanks, Spare).

And this: “While Meghan’s certainty of purpose had seduced Harry, her talents had alarmed his brother and Kate. … Both [Scooter and Keen] evidently saw Meghan as a threat rather than an ally.”

But Bower is still a POS for years of lying about the Sussexes.

  4. It’s all a very big load of steaming horse shit to try to re-write history and damage the very great reputation of Meg and Harry! All of this is to make the incandescent one happy and to kiss his ass. They think that this makes them look good but it only makes them look like the jealous and dull and incompetent leftovers that they truly are and will always be and that’s the truth!!

    • Wondering says:

@Susan Bowers is fixated on Meghan like Piss Morgan was.
Isn’t Bowers friends with Camilla? I think I remember seeing a picture of them together along with J Clarson. But could be wrong.

  5. Tessa says:

Peggs Is the problem a raging future king. Bower is obsessed with harry and Meghan. And those so called friends of harry were never his friends.

    • paintybox says:

Bower was probably the kid who screamed, cried and threw up if his peas touched his mashed potatoes. Now he’s moved on to the Sussexes. Something shifted, somebody showed free will – off with their heads!

  6. Julie says:

Even if it was welcomed, the Sussexes’ communiqué had a reverse effect with the usual haters and got mixed reception. Yesterday on X, we were bombarded with pictures of that pig and too many articles or videos of him or the toxic press trashing the Sussexes. At one point, I simply left SM.
This morning there are many and many positives articles and videos about the works of the Sussexes and also many positive posts about Invictus.
I sincerely believe bower got way too much visibility that will help selling his book.
Beside the Sussexes’ communiqué, I think the best answer should have been to post every positive clips about them and Invictus. I believe the only answer to such a disgusting person is to flood the SM press posts with positive about the Sussexes.

    • Christine says:

You can’t judge what is actually happening in the world by what you see on Twitter. It is the most toxic and broken of all of the social media platforms, and will only reflect an infinitesimal portion of real, live people. The majority are paid bots. Elon Musk has created an echo chamber of misinformation.

      • Jukia says:

@Christine Exactly, I was on Threads yesterday and I hardly saw anyone talking about it and saw nothing negative.

    • Jais says:

Ehhh. He may have gotten some bit of visibility but idk that his book is going to sell that well. We’ll see but I sincerely doubt it.

    • Elly says:

Yes, he’s trying to sell his nasty book and he’s insanely jealous (like all the rag “ journalists “) because his book will never come near the success of Harry’s book Spare which is the fastest selling non-fiction book ever.

  7. Beth says:

Bower has literally lifted the ‘finger in face’ story from Spare. And he’s previously admitted that tabloid stories (mainly the Mail) are a key source for him. As, clearly, are online anti-parasocial accounts, other bios, and those irl who share his wicked agenda. What a lazy, incompetent fraud he is – so much of his nonsense is easily debunked with verifiable facts.

    • Jay says:

All of these royal reporters using excerpts from “Spare” is, at least in my opinion, a good thing because it cements these stories in their reader’s minds as true despite all of the “recollections may vary” bs.

They also pretty indisputably make the Windsors look terrible – the story about William jabbing a finger in Meghan’s face tells me exactly what kind of person he is.

      • sunniside up says:

I love you point about using information from Spare confirms that Spare is truthful. I wonder if Bower realises that yet.

    • Christine says:

All of it is from Spare. Harry told on himself about the drinking, drugs, and therapy, and this ancient steaming pile of shit is now attributing this knowledge to William and Kate knowing all of this about Harry and being concerned Meghan was exerting undo influence? He just copy/pasted Spare.

  8. Elizabeth K. Mahon says:

Bower wants them to sue him. He would like nothing more than that, because then he could write another book about them and the court case.

  9. HannahB says:

What kind of drugs is this person on to actually publish these lies? Why is he not ashamed that people know that he has committed this libel and slander?

Stunning that, so many years later, a formerly respected paper gives space to such a racist, misogynistic, classist (okay, that’s not so surprising) POS.

It is clearly going down in the “royal” family – the “Meghan hate” is up about 5,000% with the rota. Sad they don’t know that isn’t going to work anymore. Pathetic.

  10. Inge says:

Interesting that he mentions Edward but not the actual spare & hardly colourless Andrew.

And Harry’s former friends are still Williams drinking buddies, Harry grew up

  11. Tessa says:

peggs. Dated keen about ten years he was looking for an aristo to marry him but they turned him down. Peggs finally settled for keen. And peggs was photographed falling out of clubs. He is no role model to preach about marriage. He needs counseling badly

  12. Jan says:

Tom Bowel’s book is going to bomb like his other book, give it a few weeks before it’s in the bargain bin.

    • Shiela Kerr says:

Exactly. Spare was the definitive book on Prince Harry’s life thus far. This book sales will flat line. That old gutter rats love the attention he is getting. He wrote a previous book trying to as he stated, to take down Meghan which bombed. No scandal from Meghan’s life before marrying her husband. Therefore he created nonsense from tours the couple went on. At this point in his 79 years of life, he has grabbed a life raft in targeting the Sussexes.

    • Carmen says:

      @Jan 🎯 🤞🏽

  13. aquarius64 says:

Birmingham UK for IG was a mistake and Bower is proof of it. IG needs to be pulled from there. And Bower better not claim he’s getting death threats like Tominey did.

    • Amy Bee says:

It’s probably too late to change venues but it’s inevitable that the press is going to be doing the most in July and next year when the games are on. I’ve already seen Chris Ship on a video anticipating Harry and Meghan bringing the children over for the one year on event in July.

    • Christine says:

If nothing else, we can rest easy that the people who run Invictus have surely got that message by now and they will not make the same mistake again. I feel so sorry for the people who worked so hard to bring Invictus back to the U.K. It must be so defeating for all of them to watch this play out.

  14. Dee(2) says:

None of this is new, Harry literally wrote about this in Spare. All he’s doing, all the Russell Myers book is doing is taking stuff that Harry wrote about in Spare and saying the exact same thing but somehow making it bad that Harry or Meghan have the reaction they did.

It’s bad that Meghan pointed out that Kate let a detrimental lie stand about her even though she knew it wasn’t true for years. It’s bad that Meghan told someone to take their finger out of her face, which would be rude in any instance but especially to do to your siblings new partner.

Here’s a question I have, why is this man hanging out at the Invictus games? Why are you stalking Harry’s endeavors? Don’t you cover the royals? He’s not a working Royal, he’s a private citizen, this is a private entity. This is the same guy that called Meghan a brazen hussy for looking out the window and smiling correct?

Their statement is right he’s obsessed with them, and with the idea that they’re mere existence is ruining the monarchy. Instead of just admitting that the monarchy and their behavior is what’s ruining the monarchy. Cash for access, laziness, hypocrisy, backroom deals, hiding criminal behavior. This is what’s ruining the monarchy, not two people living a half a world away living their own lives and behaving as humanitarians. Their entire sense of self is tied up and having proximity to royals who they purport are better than others, they need to see a therapist to come to terms with their cognitive dissonance.

  15. ABritGuest says:

I think it’s good that the statement pointed out that incitement where bower said the Sussexes need to be obliterated for the protection of the monarchy.

And I know some didn’t like the language saying bower had moved to deranged & fixated but combined with the obliterated comment I wonder if this impacts his ability to be platformed on more credible mainstream media. He’s basically an Angela levin & they have labelled him as such.

  16. Snuffles says:

This mutha fucka actually equated THERAPY with alcohol and drugs!? These people need to be studied and included in future psychology textbooks.

    • QuiteContrary says:

That struck me, too, Snuffles. It’s truly deranged.

And also talking of Meghan’s “talent” like it’s an ominous thing.

  17. Amy Bee says:

When Jeremy Clarkson came out with his violent screed about Meghan it just confirmed that Camilla talks to her friends about Meghan and Harry. So it’s not surprising that Camilla told friends that Harry was brainwashed. Charles and William also believe that. Furthermore the story about Meghan telling William to take his finger out of her face came from Spare so where are the new stories in this book? Anyway I glad that Harry and Meghan responded so quickly. It must be tiring and frustrating to always being attacked by the Palace and British press.

    • Tessa says:

Charles was. Aided and abetted by Camilla to undermine Diana. Letter came into the public domain showing her name calling . Diana. And of course Camilla did not want all of the jewels and influence of being queen according to spin. Camilla saying Meghan manipulates is hypocritical. Charles is a weak man
Harry is strong and he and Meghan and the children left the toxicity

    • Nerd says:

The craziest thing about any of the left behinds thinking that Harry is brainwashed by Meghan is that the same can be said about their own relationships. Charles is the former prince who cheated on his gorgeous wife for the ugly witch he wanted to be a Tampon for. Tell me a man is whipped and I’ll tell you about a former prince, now king with big ears who wanted to be his mistresses Tampon. Tell me about a man who is wooed by a woman enticing him and I’ll tell you about a younger once attractive prince who was easily persuaded by a half naked woman with no ass. Harry himself said in his own book that her beauty “wasn’t just based on symmetry, but also on her energy that was full of wild joy and playfulness” and how she was “free and saw life as an adventure that he wanted to experience with her”. Of course he spoke about her outer beauty, but he spoke about how her inner beauty is what made her even more beautiful to him. You don’t have to date someone for a decade to know if they are or are not the one for you. Harry and Meghan would have a better understanding of their relationship than someone who wasn’t even aware he was experiencing anxiety attacks and avoiding the public because of it.

  18. Brassy Rebel says:

Am I the only one who is struck by the consistent misogynistic (not to mention anti-American) messaging around Meghan? They have invented a narrative in which she is portrayed as a witch who cast a spell on poor p-whipped Harry. She brain washed him! The possibility that a man could genuinely love a woman and find in her the valued partner he has long sought never enters the conversation. This speaks volumes about the British upper crust and its opinion of not only Meghan but women in general. Anyone wondering how the royals could be so indifferent to Andrew’s crimes for so long need look no farther than how they treat the women they actually marry.

    • Dee(2) says:

It’s very misogynistic, but also tied into their racist beliefs about black women and the Jezebel trope. Harry just couldn’t help himself for being snared in by that exotic woman and her expert sexual wiles. This is basically what they were saying in 2016 as to why he was even interested in her, and especially now that he’s left and stayed away for so long.

The people that purport to revere and idealize their elderly former Queen, they consistently see women as collateral damage in their overall goal to maintain the hierarchy and protect the men highest in it.

It HAS to be the sex, because otherwise why would Harry not want to be one of us, and leave all of this behind?!!!

      • Mayp says:

Not too long after they were married, Charles was asked why the Sussexes didn’t show up for something. Maybe it was Summer at Balmoral. Charles’ response was allegedly: Harry is c*n*struck.

      • QuiteContrary says:

        Preach, Dee(2). It’s appalling.

      • Tessa says:

        Charles is a horrible parent

    • Beth says:

I also note that he’s essentially accused the entire US basketball team of cheating (definitely an anti-American vibe). He has no idea of how Invictus or eligibility for competing in events work.

    • Nerd says:

It’s called misogynoir because it’s an attack of her because she’s a woman of color. We can add in the xenophobia of this but this definitely because she’s the daughter of a black woman. That is why they have gone above and beyond to attack her mother and her black heritage from the very beginning. They have been making references to gangs, drugs, slavery, stealing regarding her mothers side of the family even though her father’s side have been linked to drugs, drinking, stealing, guns and physical abuse. They have written articles and accused her of enticing Harry as if as a woman of color her intelligence, heart and accomplishments aren’t enough to get the attention of a white prince. They are racist, misogynist and xenophobes who have never been able to get past the fact that Harry met, fell in love with and married a beautiful and intelligent biracial woman.

  19. Toby's Mom says:

Did anyone else read the passage as implying that therapy confused Harry as much (or more) than drinking and drugs following his mother’s death? I thought Will and Kate were trying to remove stigma from mental health issues. Guess you should just tell a friend you’re sad…all better!

  20. BayTampaBay says:

“the monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life”

If Tome Bower goal is “obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life” would his best move be to quit writing articles and books about the Sussexes? It seems to me, if you want someone to disappear then quit giving them publicity whether it be good or bad.

The LAST thing Tom Bower wants is to obliterate the Sussexes as he is making quite alot of money off them.

  21. YankeeDoodles says:

I’m with you there, @Brassy Rebel. 100%. Not being a POC I have no idea how the racism would hit me, if I shared that perspective, if I were subject to that type of prejudice & gatekeeping. But the thing that has always leapt off the page — to me — in this story, is the misogyny. The rank, foul, disgusting misogyny. It’s not subtle. And it’s not meant to be. And American women (like me) tend to get the nasty end of British misogyny because we’re not perceived as submissive or “well behaved” in the same way. It’s just too much for them to fake respect for women who don’t beg.

  22. Over it says:

Waity and Peggy only continue to make themselves look bad in these stories. Imagine Sticking your nasty ass fingers in a woman face . He is so little Meghan he was dealing with and she only told him firmly to remove it . She truly is a lady . I on the other hand would have made sure that Peggy never found that finger again . Just because it took doors to manual daughter literal years to have Willy finally give in and marry her stalking ass doesn’t mean that Harry had to do the same . Harry was and is still in love with his wife . Kate atill waiting for Willy to discover what love is . As for camel the w. Well she had no problem bedding chuck in the bushes while Dian slept upstairs so it’s not like she knows what being a lady or having morals is like . These people are all going to stay and eventually die mad from bitterness and jealousy. Sucks to be them . Harry and Meghan stay happy, in love with each other and thriving in their careers and family life together. F the haters

  23. Mayp says:

I applaud the comment released by the Sussexes’ spokesperson because they used the term ” fixation” which has legal ramifications in the UK:

“The Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (FTAC) is a UK police/mental health unit, whose function is to manage the risk to public figures from stalkers and individuals who are fixated on high profile public figures or prominent protected sites. It was formed in 2006 in acknowledgement that perpetrators of attacks and other unwanted incidents overwhelmingly suffered from psychosis, and could often be identified in advance of any incidents from precursor behavioural signs. Preventive treatment could then be applied, for the protection of the relevant public figures as well as the families and neighbours of the sufferer. It is jointly managed by the Home Office, the Department of Health and Metropolitan Police Service.”

The above quote, sorry, is from Wikipedia but I just wanted to point out that the term, fixation, was very sagely used. This strengthens Harry’s argument of the need for protection while he and his family are in the UK. To my knowledge, this is the first time the Sussexes have clapped back on a fixated person as the term is used in the UK . Well done.

    • Hypocrisy says:

Very interesting, thank you for the information..

    • Nerd says:

Thank you for that information. Hopefully that will make it possible to keep him away from the Sussexes whenever they are in the UK or anywhere else. Wasn’t he one of the reporters who flew to Canada for the Invictus Games Whistler? He is obviously obsessed and fixated with the Sussexes, so much so that he’s stalking them instead of focusing on the other royals.

Yes, @nerd, at the very least this will hopefully keep Bower away from the Invictus Games next year. At most I’m hoping that they will get proper protection while in the UK, as Bower is spreading his delusions about the Sussexes to the wider population by his publications.

I will also say that this is the first time that I remember the Sussexes PUBLICLY clapping back about a fixated person. With public figures, including members of the Royal family, FTAC keeps a list of “fixated” persons regarding each of them.

I first heard about FTAC when there was a lot of speculation on social media, only half jokingly, that Samantha Markle was on a fixated persons list! 😝

      Very interesting, thank you!

These excerpts from Bower only make William and Kate look bad despite the negative spin on Harry and Meghan.

We all know the truth. Look at that coffee excursion. William and kate look miserable and barely contain their disdain for each other even in public. They are so unpopular they need to plant themselves in the middle of a market during a busy lunch hour in order to look like people care.

The best part is that this will only get worse for them. Whatever they wished on Harry and Meghan is being thrown at them tenfold and it is what they deserve.

    • Christine says:

This is quickly devolving into the most “those who live in glass houses should not throw stones” situation I have ever seen. They really need to lay off drawing attention to Harry and Meghan’s marriage while their own is not even kind of in a good place. I don’t understand their PR strategy at all. Look at the happily married couple while we snipe at each other all day long on our public engagements for work! Surely don’t notice the difference!

    LOL “confused by… therapy”.
    He really is the Ick.

  26. one of the marys says:

I am thinking about that recently renovated apartment in Kensington palace and how it contrasted with the pokey cottage assigned to newlyweds H&M. It didn’t take long for Meghan to get the lay of the land and see what W&K thought of the spare and how they were going to be used

  27. sunniside up says:

“Simple dislikes became passionate hatred.” Harry showed remarkable signs of restraint when William stuck his finger in Meghan’s face.

  28. Tired says:

Bowers is fixated on Meghan! Notice how after ITV found the photo of Andrew, Mandelson in bath robes with Epstein, presumably taken in USA, that all tabloids started with the anti Meghan mess. Especially Bowers and English.
R English mad she had to testify in court cause she IS part of hacking Harry”s phone.

  29. Giddy says:

Trump starts a war to try to change the subject from Epstein. Meanwhile, the British media tries to change the subject from Andrew and Epstein by targeting H&M. Same song, new verse.

  30. Beverley says:

If I had to bet, I’d say that the Sussexes’ statement will go nowhere. I suspect the British government and law enforcement agencies will wink and nod and do absolutely nothing about Tom Bowels’ murderous attempts to destroy H&M.

Even Betty said nothing to protect them and Charles actively put them in harm’s way. It seems to me that the King, the heir, the media, and the government are more than happy to see something awful happen to the Sussexes…maybe already actively planning it.
