Unfortunately, we’re not the only ones who noticed that Kate Gosselin is f-cking hilarious on Dancing With the Stars. Kate “won” two tabloid covers this week, Life & Style and Us Weekly. L&S is running an “exclusive” about Kate’s new book (which comes out next week), claiming that Kate is “spilling family secrets and exploiting the children more than ever”. Juicy! Or not. Meanwhile, Us Weekly just seems content to slam Kate for her “diva” behavior on the set of DWTS. I’m totally enjoying all of the descriptions of how horrible she is:
Kate Gosselin is so standoffish on Dancing With the Stars, she has show staffers contact her through her bodyguard, reports the new issue of Us Weekly, on stands today.
“When the show needs to contact Kate, they go through Steve,” a production source tells Us, adding that having personal security is not the norm for any of the other star competitors. “She acts like a major celebrity. It’s a joke with the cast, like, ‘Oh, look out — the bodyguard is watching!'”
And it’s not just any bodyguard. Gosselin, 35, travels between her $1.1 million home in Pennsylvania and DWTS’ Los Angeles set with Steve Neild — with whom she’s been accused of having an affair by her estranged husband Jon. (Both Kate and the married Neild have denied infidelity.)
In fact, an insider tells Us that Gosselin and Neild even stay in adjoining hotel rooms in L.A. Gosselin — who was criticized as looking like a “super bitch from hell” during last Monday’s dance — hasn’t bothered getting to know any of the other contestants either.
“When she is getting her hair done, she is on her BlackBerry the whole time… [she] is not making herself likable,” another insider says, adding that the type-A mom of twins Mady and Cara, 9, and sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel and Leah, has not been invited out to any of the cast’s Monday postshow afterparties.
“If she tagged along, they wouldn’t ask her to leave, but they wouldn’t be overjoyed either. She’s not much fun,” a production source says.
Still, pro dancer Derek Hough defends Gosselin.
“If anyone is allowed to be stressed, it’s Kate,” he tells Us. “She is so out of her element. She can act any way she wants, in my book.”

I don’t get the defense of Kate as “she’s so out of her element” or stuff like “she’s working so hard, give her a break”. Because DWTS is what she signed on for of her own free will – and she’s horrible at it, and she should stop. But she won’t because she’s vain and she’s a diva and she’s a nut job. Speaking of, Life & Style’s excerpts of Kate’s book are truly disgusting:
Ex-husband Jon Gosselin is heading back to court for primary custody of his eight children on the basis that Kate is neglecting the kids. Now Life & Style can reveal she’s exploiting their children more than ever in her new book.
Life & Style has exclusively obtained a copy of Kate Gosselin’s new book, entitled I Just Want You to Know: Letters to my children on Love, Faith and Family. In the tome, Kate pens a deeply personal letter to each of her eight children. Among the secrets, Life & Style can reveal Kate finally owns up to bullying her ex-husband. “Much of what I said to Jon was unwarranted,” she admits. “I could have watched what I said better, I could have guarded my tongue better. I wanted to communicate better, but I often failed.”
Besides not asking for help and berating Jon, Kate writes that she didn’t take enough responsibility for day-to-day planning for the family. “I also didn’t focus on the fact that much of the responsibility for our children, the finances, the schedules and the decisions about the future was on me.”
In her letter to son Aaden, she apologizes for taking away his dad. “I do not possess the skills to father you,” she writes. “But I will do everything I can to show you the way.”
And she even apologizes for ruining her once perfect family. Writing to son Collin, Kate cruelly implies that the 6 -year-old has a fear of abandonment — and that her split with Jon has hit him the hardest. “I will never leave you,” she writes to him. “I know that all the recent events in our family structure have greatly upset you, maybe you most of all. When I leave for work, I will always come back.”
On page after page, Kate recounts in vivid detail each child’s suffering because of the divorce. However, Kate doesn’t seem concerned about how her kids will react to the book. “She’s back in diva mode,” an insider confirms to Life & Style. “She’s not the sweet, humble woman she’s been pretending to be.”

To be fair, I don’t think the kids have any comprehension at this time just how f-cked up their parents are. But they’ll soon find out, and it will horrible. And, yes, I believe that Kate is not anywhere close to “sweet” and “humble”. I believe she is deranged. I know this, because of this video:

Does Kate bother to apologize to her children for how she treats them!!! I watched their show up until the last year because I couldn’t take it anymore – this woman is so into herself, it was pathetic to watch and she is so mean to her children. Honestly, Jon is no prize – but he does love those children and he’s kind to them. I will never forget the episode when she made her child sleep on the cold floor of the laundry room when he was sick or the time when one was constipated and she couldn’t be bothered by his screams of agony as she was shopping for furniture – it was Jon who dug out the poop and relieved the poor boy of his pain!!
There are many more examples and it’s all caught on film – combine it with the book and you can see how screwed up these kids already are and the difficulties they will probably have…
Hope some of you will write to The View and tell that idiot Sherri Shepherd to quit talking about how Kate has to work to support her 8 kids. She is always yapping about something she knows nothing about. Read that she told her 100,000 followers on Twitter to vote for Kate. Ugh.
That TRASH that she refers to as a ‘book’ will be the worst injustice those kids will (again) have to endure. With what little excerpts I have seen, I can only imagine how devastating this will be to these poor kids. Why, oh why, did she not just sit each one of them down, individually, and tell them this. Quietly, lovingly (that’s a laugh), and most importantly, PRIVATELY. Why? Because she wouldn’t be able to make any money off a private conversation. Just another way for her to exploit those poor kids. Imagine, if you will, what horror these kids will feel when their classmates are repeating some of these excerpts and humiliating each one of these 8 little blessings?

I hate Kate and Jon both. Jon has said more than once that he did not want more than just the twins, but he wasn’t man enough to put his foot down, so that cow Kate got IVF’d with who knows how many embryos and had those 6 kids. I don’t know why twins weren’t enough for them. After all they weren’t exactly rich and I know raising 2 kids is enormously expensive. That being said, it is still both of their responsibility to be there for the kids. He is a fat disgusting slob and she is a hateful abusive woman. I had a dad who was rundown like him because my mom was such a bully and it was hard to watch over the years, so I felt bad for Jon and understood him a bit. But, then he went all douchey on everyone. I think he needs counseling, but I still think he is a douche and so is she.

@ TG: I really think that no matter what Jon wanted (as far as how many children), she was going to do what she wanted anyway. Her Doctor even told her to skip a month because her eggs were too stimulated (?) I think she would have kept on going until the end result was what it is now. I definitely think Jon was acting douchey after KHATE made it clear the marriage was not worth going to counseling for, but I DO think he would benefit from some help. I think he was emasculated for so long that he had to go out and sow his wild oats. No excuse, whatsoever, but I can see what she has done to him.

I understand Jon is a douche my problem with her is this…If shes so concerned about $$ and her kids well being WHY is she spending THOUSANDS of dollars on plastic surgery, hair extensions, make-up, etc? why is she not saving it for the kids??? That is what really pisses me the FK off!

@TG I read she did IUI which involves more risk than IVF of muktiples-she had 7 embryos. One fetus died and she had the chance to selectively “reduce” the other fetuses but didn’t due to her beliefs.
So she chose to have the IUI, all the kids, as did Jon, I just wish she’s find actual work that doesn’t involve exploiting them. Can you imagine if your parents divorced, what you’d feel like if your mom shared private details of your feelings and her “letter” to you so publicly? She and Jon are creating the next generation of Lindsay Lohans. Siiiiigh.
Can’t stand this woman but did watch the video. She was literally walking through her dance steps, like it was a rehearsal and she was keeping count in her head. Her poor partner, who can actually dance, was reduced to being a “photographer” so Kate could show off. What a vile creature.
Sherri Shepherd DEFINITELY uses the same line “I have to support my son” to justify being 3000 miles away and leaving him with his father. Which do you think the kid would prefer: having Mom around, or watching her on tv?

Regardless of how you all “Feel” about her, she looked and danced like a drag queen zombie this week, she only moved when Tony (bless his heart for putting up with her).
Kate is very insecure and it shows all over her face, she knows people hate her and want her to fail. I think it’s crazy for her to be on that show in the first place because she is making a fool of herself but then again she’s getting loads of money for it so it’s worth it.
She definitely thinks she’s a celebrity. She did a “pilot” or test of some new show they’re cooking up for her at my office. She had an entourage of 12 people around her, constantly asking: “Are you OK, Kate?” “Are you cold?” “Do you need a break?” etc. When a local newscaster who is a client happened to come in, her entourage quickly shuffled her out the back into an Escalade until the coast was clear. It was laughable. She has totally lost her grip on reality, she acted like she was an A list actress.
Unfortunately she is right. She is a major celebrity right now. Other than Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie, she is the top selling magazine cover subject. I personally love watching the trainwreck that she is on DWTS. It’s so damn funny. And Jon is a piece of crap for trying to file the absentee parent suit. He really needs to be punched in the face over that one. I used to kinda think he got the shaft, but I have come to realize why Kate always look so pissed off. I’d look that way too if I had come to realization that I had married the world biggest douche and had procreated with it….eight times!
Given that this “reality show” phenomenon isn’t going anywhere fast – and we let good-for-nothing-nobodies occupy our media, we really need to develop a new vocabulary to differentiate between “celebrities” (I.e. people that do something requiring talent in the public eye/media which therefore garners them attention, and fame) v.s. people who clamor their way into public recognition through stunts and gimmicks because of their own obsessive need for the fake, unwarranted kind of fame that feeds into their massively unproportional egos.
Recognition with people does NOT equal celebrity. It equals some other word we need to create.

I’m not beautiful, famous, rich, or a good dancer but I can say that if I, or most of us here, were thrown in to DWTS that we would be having fun, chatting it up, and having a ball. The only place where Kate would be in her element would be a Debbie Downer with Control Issues convention. She’s a B and she just sucks to see and hear.
