Earlier this year, Brooks Nader, 29, and Taron Egerton, 36, were photographed in Los Angeles heading to an Italian restaurant and making out. A source told People that they’d gone out multiple times, were officially dating, and were super into each other. Several weeks later, in late April, they were spotted holding hands on a beach in Australia.

Well, it looks like things have fizzled out between Taron and Brooks. TMZ caught up with Brooks on the set of the Baywatch reboot. When they asked her how things were going with Taron, she said she was single. She also denied they were ever officially together. From TMZ:

Brooks Nader and Taron Egerton haven’t broken up … but that’s because Brooks says they were never officially dating.

We got the model and actress Wednesday in Venice Beach in between scenes for the “Baywatch” reboot she’s starring in … and our photog asked her how things were going with the “Rocketman” star.

While Brooks and Taron were spotted going out for a couple dinners in Santa Monica a couple months ago … it sounds like their spark didn’t ignite like a rocket engine.

Brooks says she’s single and ready to mingle with guys on fun dates, like she did with Taron … though she makes it clear she’s not dating him or anyone else, at least for now.

This may be news to Taron … in March we were told they were seeing each other romantically and, at that point, they’d been on at least five dates together.

It seems Brooks felt the two weren’t actually in a relationship and were just hanging out and having fun.

I am all for opposites attracting, but I’m not surprised Taron and Brooks didn’t work out. It was a random pairing to begin with. They also have totally different public personas. Taron stays out of the news when he’s not promoting something and Brooks is everywhere lately. I’m curious about that People story now. Who confirmed that they were dating? I assumed it was on Brooks’ side, but maybe it was Taron’s people trying to drum up interest ahead of Apex. It’s also very possible that Taron broke up with Brooks and she’s trying to cover for it. Either way, it sounds like they’re done.
