Here are some photos of the Wales family – or rather, the Rothesay family – in Scotland on Sunday. Prince William and Kate arrived at Balmoral with their children last Thursday, and on Sunday, William and Kate took Prince George and Princess Charlotte to Crathie Kirk, the local little church close to Balmoral. Some outlets say that all three kids were in the backseat, but I only see George and Charlotte, so I don’t know. It would be weird if they skipped Louis, but they do that all the time.
InStyle noted that Kate had a “sunkissed glow and blonder hair.” Real ones remember that Kate soft-launched a tawny blonde wig at Balmoral last year, and by September 2025, that thing was perched on the top of her head like an ill-fitting hat. Last week, I predicted that Kate’s wigs and hairpieces would grow sharply blonder now that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are returning to the UK. Ol’ girl is probably going to plop on a Farrah Fawcett wig next month.
Longtime Middleton-watchers should keep their eye on something else – Terribly Moderately Wealthy James Matthews’ 51st birthday was a few days ago, and William and Kate made no move to celebrate with Pippa Middleton and TMW James. Many of us have noticed that Pippa and Kate seem to have fallen out in the past two years. I don’t think they’ve been photographed together since Wimbledon 2024. It would be no biggie – just adult-sister beef, really – but Kate is supposed to be so perfect, such a keen linchpin, such a peacemaker. And instead, Kate regularly falls out with tons of people.

Nothing this woman does to her hair or face will distract from her lack of work ethic.
Although her long, dangly earrings did have me contemplating her jewelry choices for a bit. But yeah, this is one of only three church services they attend every year–and call work!–such devout people.
I don’t think they’ve ever claimed to be devout— I thought William was pretty openly at least agnostic, possibly even an atheist.

I loved her look here despite, as always with Kate, caveats. She looked happy and sharper than last year when she seemed zonked out on something? I think the old-fashioned lace cravat and tweed suit her very well and it was appropriate for Balmoral. I don’t see that much bronde but it’s hard to tell from the photos…
Caveats: Heavy makeup (those brows!), inappropriate earrings (are those the Queen’s chandelier earrings she tends to borrow? Not with this outfit, nor for daytime, nor for church…sigh) and I hate those pillbox hats over long hair, it should have been neatly up.
William is wearing his “rictus grin that doesn’t reach his eyes” though so that gave me life
Yeah the earrings are weird. Her looks are nearly perfect but then one of her accessories is wonky or ill-chosen.
Her accessory and styling game is consistently off.

If someone could take Kate in hand and sort out her jewellery it would be such an improvement.
I did notice George definitely has K’s eyebrows, like her Dad’s.
G’s hair is darker, but W also has the same shape and thickness in brows, but he has light hair.
yeah the blouse and tweed look nice for a Sunday church service in Scotlan. But the rest of the look is…not great (and I do think her hair is definitely blonder.)
Also, something about these church drives bother me, since W&K dont go to church regularly – its very “we will allow the public to catch a glimpse of us as we drive by in our range rover.” It didnt feel this way with QEII, i think because she went to church every week so it felt more just….like the queen doing her thing.

As for the Queen, for as long as I have been on this earth and aware of her, it was a deep personal faith that sustained her.
William says he doesn’t do god, but his has to remember that he needs god for his coronation, so they are practicing.
In other photos the hair looks more blonde and she definitely has been suntanning.
I don’t really understand the obsession with getting tanned since we all know at this point it increases aging and the risk of cancer. No amount of surgical work can fix skin that has been sun damaged, especially the levels she seems to tan.
As for church attendance, William and Kate don’t attend church unless there are cameras there to record it. If William wasn’t in line for head of the Church of England then it would be less of an issue, but the Queen attended weekly and went even when there weren’t paps there. Charles also attends more, although perhaps not as much as his mother.
William attends a handful of times and it is all for show. Same as Kate who didn’t even get confirmed until she was engaged…. Which is bizarrely late since confirmation is around age 13.
They need to drop their pretence of any religious beliefs. Because it’s just a joke at this point.

Also why do they keep insisting that her hair is truly sun kissed? That is bottle blonde highlights done by her hairdresser, wig or no.
The media treats her like a modern day Miss Havisham and never question her delusions.
Bet they have had a horrible week and now all the breakables are being replaced by the staff… Waity needs to stop trying to be a blonde, she looks much better as a true brunette.. i doubt she even had blonde hair as a child and from my experience they are the only people that look decent as blonde adults.. (full disclosure I am also a brunette that tried blonde and looked horrible so maybe im biased.)

Kate was seen with dark brown hair in the photos of her as a child. It is a better colour on her so whoever told her to go bronde is not a friend.
Can she make the collar higher?
They left back louis again because he steals everyone’s thunder and they don’t want to deal with charisma and charming personalities. Instead they are telling him that he must stay back because it’s too boring and he won’t like it.
And Wiglet Wails wanted the headline and photos ON herself (and the Whingeing one).
Classic mean, nasty, and with that pained constipated look she has when forced to attend something that she finds demeaning, with assorted protesters around as well.

And Kate has definitely fallen out with Pippa. I read somewhere there was a superinjunction on it but I find it hard to believe there would be one over something like that.

Kate has habit of dressing up like billy sidepiece or crushes. There is long rumor about billy having blonde mistress from London.
There is a photo of a blonde woman in the car as William was leaving a private supper club in London on a weekday. This was a few years ago and that was being mentioned even when the Rose story was out as many said he wasn’t with Rose but this blonde lawyer/ banker from London who also be Russian too.
Could be she has a lot grey hair. Some women with lots of gray start to lighten their hair gradually so the gray is a little less noticeable as their hair grows out. Or actually she might be doing the wigs because of gray hair because for awhile her personal budget was cut drastically and she couldn’t afford the constant touch ups. After her disappearance she started getting more new clothes etc.
Kate has had a lot of grey hair since her 30s. She had grey roots showing after Charlotte was born so by now it’s more extensive.
Besides she has access to hair professionals and can get touch ups very often. She not busy at work.
I think the fallout with Pippa predates 2024, and that she was only there with Kate for optics at Ma Midd’s insistence because of the whole “Kate Missington” saga.
Kate resents Pippa’s ease and accomplishments. She only started her “Arly yars” busywork cosplay because Pippa earned a degree in early childhood education.

I said this in a comment yesterday, but while I know Kate isn’t going to be happy about stepping up her work game, she is a very competitive person. I wonder if Meghan coming back is actually giving her a spark of competitive excitement. Not sure how long it can be maintained though but I could see it.

Maybe but I expect her to be doing whatever she has to in order to look like the best most perfect joyous never put a foot wrong perfect in every way princess. She v well might be expecting another round of perfect Kate publicity by once again comparing her to terrible Meghan. That’s what I mean about her maybe getting a boost of competitive spirit. I can see her thriving on that. Except I’m not sure the papers are going to write it that way this time around. I’m seeing a lot of stories about the dull and lazy Wales but that might change.

I was a real time Diana fashion watcher when I was a teenager. Kate’s collar is very, very Diana 1981-82.
There is a photo early on of Diana wearing a “riding outfit” similar to what Keen wore.

Wiglet has Copied every photo, portrait, item of clothing and “look” put together or not, of Diana and failed abysmally because the 80’s (years I mean) are so long long gone that short of cloning Diana absolutely Nothing and no amount of wishing will work for Whingeing Wails or the Wiglet.
Mind you, an honest to Goodness personal inventory and even better A WORK Ethic may assist but as Wiglet knows it all, there is a fat chance between one and none of her lifting a finger unless it’s for her obvious mean woman devices.

Copying the Duchess will be frustrating Wiglet even more (whether it be clothing or lack thereof), as she has “natural” dark brown hair anyway, Lili’s hair reminds me of liquid whiskey and gorgeous so those two basic observations will make Wiglet more obsessed. Meghan doesn’t have to say a word – the Wails are scurrying around with Camila observing at a guess.
I’m not convinced that Kate and Pippa are on the outs. I have 2 sisters and even though we live relatively close to each other we don’t see each other very often. We all check in with each other every few months if there hasn’t been a family gathering of some sorts..but we live very different lives. Just because Kate and Pippa haven’t been photographed together doesn’t mean they don’t talk to each other. Sibling relationships change over the years too. It can depend on their significant others, how busy with kids, jobs, etc. doesn’t mean they don’t like each other.
If Will is in meltdown mode then Kate is at his side egging him on and enjoying the fireworks. Simple pleasures for her as she has a brand new contract and no one has the power to make her work more. She’s unimpeachable since the renegotiation and enjoying life anew. She tops the polls and AN Wilson described her in The Times as beautiful and courageous. She is indispensable to RF as wife to heir and mother of FFK. Sucks to be everyone else says to that 😁!
