Aaron Taylor-Johnson at the ‘Godzilla’ LA premiere: would you hit it?

Aaron Taylor-Johnson

I love Godzilla movies. Most of them are terrible (especially that Matthew Broderick mess), but they’re a huge event for me. My daughter doesn’t feel that way. She laughed at the 1954 original because Godzilla was as scary as an action figure. But I adore them. Mostly because “Godzilla” was my Irish grandpa’s affectionate nickname for my Japanese grandma. He’d say it, and she’d roll her eyes and go spend some money. Poor, misunderstood Godzilla.

You may have heard about the new Godzilla flick? He fights another monster, and the film stars Aaron-Taylor Johnson as the lead “human” character. These are photos from the LA premiere, and god. Aaron looks really good. Dreamy, even. He’s lost some of the bulk he gained for this film. His matinee-idol good looks are shining through. Would you hit it? Based on looks alone, I would. He’s awfully devoted to his marriage to Sam (who is wearing Chanel) though.

Elizabeth Olsen wore a black Chloe dress that’s a take on the classic black Jolie sack. Elizabeth is beaming — this is her first big premiere! — and looks gorgeous from the neck up. The dress dwarfs her, and she should have worn a more adventurous dress. Only Angelina Jolie can pull off a Jolie sack.

I’ve included photos some other attendees. CB’s man, Bryan Cranston, looked superb. Ken “Let them Fight” Watanabe was there for his scene-stealing moment. Plus … Joe Manganiello and Chris Hardwick.

I had a dream, just last night that Jeremy Renner and I went on a double date with Aaron and his wife! WTF?! I never think of these people.

    • Kali says:

Grumpy Cat is MY husband 😉 !!! but seriously, I’m jealous. I never have awesome dreams like that….

    • Isadora says:

I hardly ever dream about famous people either. But I had a dream with Alexander Skarsgard recently – for the fourth time. And that’s indeed strange because I’m not even a huge fan or something. I mean, yeah, he’s nice to look at and everything, but still. O_o There are worse thing to dream about though..

  2. ldub says:

    HELL YES!
    TILL THE COWS CAME HOME.
PUT THE BELL AROUND MY NECK, I’M READY!!

  3. blue marie says:

I would but his hair is killin me.
But yay for Cranston and Watanabe!

Can not wait to see this movie!

    • kri says:

@Blue marie- The great thing is you can mess up the hair. My god, he looks as delicious as a stack of pancakes after a month of no carbs. I’d hit it til I passed out.

    • mia girl says:

Yea, the hair is giving me Jason Priestly 90210 vibes. No like.

    • kimber says:

I’m with you on the hair thing lol

Plus the unibrow is cracking me up!

  4. Mom2two says:

Aaron Taylor Johnson, definite no here. Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, and Elizabeth Olsen a definite yes here.

  5. Cecilia says:

He is a fine looking man. I would definitely lure him to my bed, given the chance. I like his whole look but I prefer the longer hair on him.

  6. lenje says:

    Ken Watanabe… droolz!

  7. Buckwild says:

Dreamy but can’t unsee the unibrow…

  8. Gwen says:

No, not at all. Bryan Cranston on the other hand.. yes.

  9. KatNotNice says:

LOL no. Celeb wise to me he is such a turn off with his Sam relationship and marriage.

Ken Watanabe and Bryan Cranston for the win.

  10. FingerBinger says:

No to Aaron Taylor-Johnson. That creepy relationship with that wife is a bit of turn off. I think I’ll go with Joe. He has a really nice body.

    • Erinn says:

The relationship and the earring kill it for me.

    • Anonny says:

I feel a little bad for calling it, but that relationship definitely comes with an expiration date. Probably in the form of some starlet.

  11. Kaiser says:

You know I’m into facial hair, but that closeup of his rat stache is disgusting. Ken Watanabe for me!

  12. Kali says:

Only if he’s in army dude shape like he was for the movie (I blame the American side of me for my thing for men in uniform).

Is he really the lead “human” though? All the trailers/marketing materials have had Cranston as the lead human and Olsen/Taylor-Johnston as the “pretty couple”.

  13. ernie says:

The earring is a deal breaker.

But even without that, he does nothing for me.

  14. Reece says:

    I’ll take Ken Watanabe.

  15. Tatjana says:

No. He just doesn’t do it for me. I don’t like his face. Plus, he has a “David Beckham” voice.
    I love Elizabeth’s dress.

    • silken_floss says:

LOL I agree on the voice.. When I heard him speak in natural accent, I was like “WUT?” That whispy, delicate voice is a dealbreaker for me

  16. danielle says:

Not sure Elizabeths sense of style is great, amusing because she’s an Olsen. Also kind of adorable, I think its unfair that all the actresses are expected to be fashionistas now.

  17. T.Fanty says:

No. He looks like a creepier Jason Priestly.

    • Kiddo says:

He does, with a tad of Vincent Price thrown in for good measure. Maybe he can recite Poe’s “The Raven”.

  18. Chickie Baby says:

He looks great, but what is with Sam’s dress? It’s either not flattering on her, or it’s just an odd dress. Can’t decide.

  19. AG-UK says:

He is very good looking and I never really thought about him before. I will probably see this with my son.

  20. lizzie says:

hasn’t anyone seen savages?! terrible movie…but it is a nice little preview to his competency as a sweet shop wrecker. needless to say – i’d hit it until it broke.

  21. TG says:

Poor Asron is clinging to that creepy older woman as some kind of life boat. I think he is afraid of the dark side of himself and life. He needs to cut her loose.

    • Santolina says:

Yes, and I think she enables that dependency. After all, she was the grownup who knew better. Don’t get me stahted….

  22. Penelope says:

Sam’s dress is hideous and age-inappropriate.

Aaron seems to be in love and they also seem happy–why the creeps?

    • FingerBinger says:

Creepy because he was about 17 or 18 when they hooked up and she was 40 or 41. If this were a man people would be calling him a pervert. Full stop.

  23. maryjojo says:

I wouldn’t hit that for all the money in the world! It looks like Mommy took her gay son to the opening.

Please, your gaydar must be going off with this young fellow!

    • Santolina says:

True, he’s on the effeminate side (the voice, and his miscasting as Count Vronsky) but he doesn’t “ping.” His mommy-wife is more of a meal ticket than a beard, IMO. He did impregnate her twice, in short order.

      • maryjojo says:

You don’t know for sure who impregnated her, and if he did perhaps it was from a distance (A.I.). Or maybe he bit the pillow while mommy coaxed it out of him (HAHAHA).

Who knows? I get the “ping” though. Loud and clear.

  24. Abby_J says:

I call Godzilla! He’s so dreamy, and he looks lovely on the Red Carpet!

  25. serena says:

Hell yeah, I would hit it a lot!
