Alec & Hilaria Baldwin welcome their third child in 4 years, Leonardo Angel

wenn28786260

One of the few things I enjoy about Alec Baldwin is that he is tennis-obsessed. He was all over the place during the US Open, and I believe he does a lot of charitable work with the USTA, the United States Tennis Association. He was doing last-minute voiceover work for the US Open commercials too. Alec enjoys both women’s and men’s tennis, and he attended many, many games during the US Open. Hilaria was by his side, and ESPN even did some live interviews with Alec and a majorly pregnant Hilaria in the stands. Hilaria even said that she was hoping the baby would chill out and let her enjoy the Open. Well, guess what? The baby has great timing. The men’s final went over four hours on Sunday, and then on Monday, Hilaria gave birth. This is Alec and Hilaria’s third child in four years.

It’s another Baldwin boy! Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria welcomed their third child, and second son, together, on Monday, Sept. 12, at 6:51 p.m. in New York City, the proud parents announced Monday on social media.

“We are so pleased to introduce you to our new baby, Leonardo Ángel Charles Baldwin. It was such a special day bringing him into this world,” Hilaria captioned a photo of her holding her newborn shortly after his birth.

Baby Leonardo joins big sister Carmen Gabriela, 3, and 14-month-old big brother Rafael Thomas, as well as Alec’s daughter Ireland, 20.

[From People]

When Alec and Hilaria announced this third pregnancy, Alec made some noise about how he’s really hoping this is the last kid. You know what would be great? If he followed through and got a vasectomy for poor Hilaria’s sake, because you know if he doesn’t, she’ll just get knocked up again in a few months. As for the name… they are consistently choosing Spanish names, because Hilaria is Spanish. I’m okay with Leonardo, although Leonardo Angel is a little bit… eh. It’s like naming your kid “Treasure” or “Gift” or “Heaven.”

They look like father and daughter in the cover pic. I actually thought he was posing with one if his kids for a moment.

    • MsGoblin says:

The look on his face in the cover pic, to me, says “well, I’m stuck here.”

      • Soror Bro says:

Three kids will do that to ya.

      • tmc says:

these comments made me laugh. I dont think these births were accidents and I would imagine it is her more than him that wanted 3 children… he seems to just go along. (? if there is such a thing when it comes to children or maybe he wanted to * do it right * this time… ??) The whole yoga pose a day thing with her was just a bit cloying.

p.s. that is sort of sweet that he is so into the u.s. open and tennis. I did not know that.

  2. Jegede says:

    Congrats to them

Leo seems to be a really popular name for celeb boys.

I would guess with their 3 children’s names; Carmen, Rafael and now Leo, Hilaria called the shots on that front lol. Alec, who treasures his Irish ancestry, might have chosen another way.

  3. qwerty says:

Every time I see her I remember this comment someone once made about how she uses jhair dye and fake tan and changed her name to look Spanish but it’s all fake… anyone got more info on that?

    • Sabrine says:

Hardly. There were photos of the Baldwins in Spain last year visiting her family. Also, Carmen is already speaking fluent Spanish as will no doubt the other two. What a ridiculous story.

      • Myrna says:

I think Hilaria is incredibly beautiful.

Aside from that, I read some blind gossip inferring that she messed around on Alec around the time she conceived.
I’m creeping myself out a bit as I write, because the baby is precious, but he couldn’t look any more Baldwin, right?

        Bless him…

      • qwerty says:

I googled around. Yes she was born in Spain and her mother lives there now. But there’s quite a few people out there claiming she grew up in Boston, went to NYU and her real name is Hilary. In other words, she has ties to Spain but exaggerates them to create this spanish persona. Also, it’s hardly an achievement for a 2 year old child of a millionaire to be fluent in a foreign language. You can get a Mexican student to play with them 3 times a week for very little money and get the same result.

      • Cupcake says:

        Is it Sabrine or Hilaria?

      • crtb says:

qwerty: it’s hardly an achievement for a 2 year old child of a millionaire to be fluent in a foreign language. You can get a Mexican student to play with them 3 times a week for very little money and get the same result.

Really? I am impressed to hear a child that young is fluent in two languages. Have you been around any 2 years olds? They are just becomming fluent in one language. And your comment about the Mexican student sound offensive.

      • Tess says:

I’ve read reports of industry events in Spanish fashion magazines shading her for not really speaking very much or very good Spanish and milking her Spanish connections to the max. And it’s not like they don’t have the money to have exclusively Spanish speaking nannies or immersion day care.

      • qwerty says:

        @CRTB

Please explain what’s offensive about it.

      • iseepinkelefants says:

CRTB – actually it isn’t an accomplishment to have a child speak two languages at that young of an age. I live in Paris, a lot of young children are bilingual by that age. I have three children (two different families) that I personally know that are trilingual (since age 3); Russian, French and English. Another child who is 5 who comes from a completely French background but because his mother has had English speaking babysitters since he was 2, he reads and speaks perfect English. The other two families only speak French and Russian with their kids, so the English comes from their babysitters. It’s not unheard of to have children know so many languages. The 5 year old will be learning Chinese next year. Pay someone and your kid too can be trilingual in no time.

    • SusanneToo says:

I only remember how, at the time, he went on and on about how when they met she had never heard of him, had no idea who he was, had never seen his work, etc. Maybe.

      • Alexis says:

Oh PLEASE. That’s what Ashton said about Demi that they met at a dinner party and he had no clue who she was. Please. She LOVES the attention. She must have a golden v- jay. Alec blasted the papps and used to swear at them, but she poses provocatively in her lingerie while pregnant and doing yoga poses??? Talk about LOOK AT ME narcissism. I will never get the duo but she’s now financially set for the rest of her life. Was there a prenup? She looks very average to me….has makeup artists etc. YAWN. And she suddenly now has agents at CAA??

I used to live near his beautiful home in the hamptons. Beautiful and large, but tasteful. No gate. Now he’s massively expanded…..there’s a gate. It was elegant before and now mc mansion boring. Plus they are looking at 17 m dollar apts??? Ms things sure gets him to spend his cash…..

      • SusanneToo says:

Alexis. I didn’t say I believed it. I thought she took to celebrityhood with amazing speed. And that Alec was naive. But, whatever, it’s their life.
And, since I don’t know either of them, I was sort of tiptoeing around the comment.

      • Alexis says:

Fair point. Wasn’t venting at you. More vexed at how perfectly coiffed she is in the hospital and how public she seems (and loves the attention) for a guy like Alec who used to be so protective of his privacy. But to each their own! He seems whipped tho!!!

      • crtb says:

I couldn’t stand her when they first started dating. She took to fame and being a celebrity like a fish takes to water. She loved the spotlight and the job opportunities that dating Alec gave her. But she has grown on me. She seems to be a calming force for him. He isn’t as angry all of the time. He is eating healthy and excersing. He appears to loving being a father and husband again. After seeing her impressive yoga poses with her legs behind her head, I know exactly why he is addicted to her. Even I was turned on- lol. As far as taking advantage of being married to a major celebrity: She isn’t doing anything different than any other celebrity wife. All of them start their own companies: Think Jerry Seinfelds wife

    • pf says:

I’ve read on other gossip websites that her real name is Hillary Heyward Thomas and she grew up in Boston. She then adopted the name “Hilaria”, dyed her hair black, started using a fake accent. Anyone can learn Spanish, that doesn’t mean they are actually from Spain. Her mother is a notorious snake oil saleswoman who then moved with her lawyer/husband to Mallorca, so no “Hilaria” is not actually from Spain. Whether she’s fake or not, her constant selfies on Instagram are exhausting. It’s not a good sign for the future when you have two narcissists in a relationship. I feel bad for those kids.

      • MariaVela says:

All you say is true. She is a natural dark blonde and very fair, which is why her now dark hair shade drains and ages her even with the tanning lotion, but she has adopted an exotic Spanish persona as a costume. She’s an All American woman, but she found that rather plain for her interests and ambitions. There is a tenuous link to Spain (her mother, Anglo-American, lives here) but it is not a personal one. She did a reverse Margarita Cansino. She’s consistent to this image however, so there’s no faulting her commitment. It is widely known should you ever be talking among certain groups of Spaniards about the “Spanish” wife of a formerly well-known actor. We laugh and take it as a compliment even if it is strange!

      • nn says:

But why would she do that? It doesnt make any sense

    • Littlestar says:

Your comment about paying a Mexican student very little to teach your children Spanish is kind of weird, sounds like a pretty stereotypical point of view and slightly derogatory.

  4. Maria T. says:

Angel is a pretty typical Spanish name.

  5. Barrett says:

It’s weird forever he had 1 kid and was going over that middle aged bump. I’ve seen in him in NYC randomly and he looks like a former good looking man who know has a bad back, doesn’t dress so great, and fights the true nature to have a giant pot belly at this point.

Put that thing away, Alec. It’s over. Hilaria you have secured your place as the trophy wife, well funded regardless of how this pans out. Birth control in some form?

  6. Sea Dragon says:

Funny how teeny she is and how large the baby looks. Really beautiful thing though. I hope they raise him well.

    • Chrissy says:

That was my first thought too! That looks like a huge baby!

I’m surprised to see her hooked up to any sort of medical machine. She totally strikes me as the water birth/doula/no hospital type!

Best wishes to their little family! I don’t care how much help you have – three kids that close in age are a lot of work!!

      • Myrna says:

Yes, she is very tiny and he appears to be a very big boy!

What struck me, though, is that her chest and shoulders are bare – no ugly hospital gown, and her hair is perfectly coiffed.

      • susanne says:

I wanted a less-intervention kind of birth, and found that being naked kept every resident in the hospital’s hands out of my vag. Ended up squatting out my 9.5 pound dude in the corner of the bathroom on the floor, howling like an animal. Probably my finest moment as a woman.
My hair was not done, though.

      • Myrna says:

        Wow Susanne!
That’s impressive, especially for having such a big baby.

Wish I could say the same.
Intended to go natural, but the pain was incredibly unbearable and I begged for something to numb the pain.
I tore wide open delivering my 11 lb. 4 oz. little man.
Hemorrhaged…so grateful for all of the medical intervention.

And, yeah, I didn’t look quite as lovely as Ms Hilaria😡

  7. OTHER RENEE says:

What is it with this new trend of celebrities giving their kids two middle names? So when kids grow up and are filling out forms and applications, now they’ll have to stuff two names into the “middle name” box? Really!?

    • Erinn says:

That’s not a new celebrity thing. My brother has two middle names – he was born in ’92. I know a handful of other people who have two middle names, and I live in a pretty small town.

    • crtb says:

I have a hyphenated first name and a hyphenated last name. It makes filling uot forms hellashish. Every form of ID has a different combination of my form names. IRS is always writing me because they have a different name on file. Get stopped at the airport always!
Last month is was because a hyphen was left out from my first name.

    • Lisa says:

Isn’t she Spanish? It’s not uncommon if you’re Spanish or Italian. I’m Italian and have two middle names.

  8. Lara K says:

To me Angel is like Jesus – perfectly normal in Spanish, just a little odd in a wasp-y accent.
I do find they look like father and daughter. But they seem really happy so whatever.

  9. Donna says:

They’re just a Donatello and a Michaelangelo away from having their own Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!!!

  10. Size Does Matter says:

She has a really nice head of hair. Mine still hasn’t recovered from having my 10-month-old and all the new re-growth seems to be coming in gray.

  11. Belle Epoch says:

I’m trying to do the math of 3 kids in 4 years. I guess if you can pay for an army of nannies you might as well keep popping them out. I can’t stand this woman and her relentless “aren’t I the coolest?” campaign. And we already know what kind of father he is. Does he drink?

  12. Jayna says:

Angel isn’t a name like Gift, Treasure. It’s not an uncommon name for a man in the Latino community, at least not here in Florida. I’ve seen it as a first or middle name for men.

  13. Cinderella says:

If we all could have blow-outs and makeup in the delivery room.

    • Jayna says:

My sister-in-law is Puerto Rican. She has a glorious head of silky black hair and long, dark eyelashes and great skin. We visited her after she had the baby the next morning. She was very tired, but she looked stunning. She had no makeup on and hadn’t even brushed her hair. I was so jealous she could look that amazing.

  14. minx says:

    Mazel tov.

  15. HeyThere! says:

I crack up at my pictures from after baby. Hair in this insane ratty bun from squirming all over in horrible pain. My face was beyond bloated from being on IV’s nonstop for two days before baby was born. I seriously didn’t recognize myself. And I was so out of it I didn’t elevate the hospital bed so I was like laying down and kinda leaning forward and hello worlds worst angle! Hahahahah

  16. Sara says:

    Congrats to them. Beautiful baby.

It’s pretty sad that Alec Baldwin has his third baby at 58 and no one comments on his age, yet when a woman has a baby at 40+ or God forbid 45+ most of you people here or at other sites are vicious with your comments. That’s a clear form of sexism if I ever saw it. I just don’t get it.
