As they say, all good things, and many a television drama series, must come to an end. NBC has announced that it is cancelling the cop series Shades of Blue, starring Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta. The third and final season of the show will feature 10 episodes and is set to begin on June 17.
On the series, Jennifer played a Brooklyn detective who was tasked with balancing her police duties with her home life as a single mother. In a statement, Jennifer said:
“I have enjoyed producing and starring in this beautifully complicated world and playing such an empowering yet flawed character – a woman, a detective but, first and foremost, a mother. Now looking at it with a little distance, playing Harlee strengthened me and helped me grow into a more self-assured woman.”
Sad news for fans of the show, but don’t cry for Jennifer about the cancellation. She’s still got plenty on her plate, including her Las Vegas residency, the (still) upcoming Bye, Bye Birdie musical and, of course, her ongoing relationship with Alex Rodriguez. If that’s not enough, Jennifer is launching yet another, sure to be successful business venture.
After selling us clothes, shoes, scents and sunglasses, Jennifer is introducing her first cosmetics collection. According to Women’s Wear Daily, Jennifer has partnered with Polish company Inglot for a capsule collection featuring a full line of products to help you achieve the “J-Lo glow.” She told WWD that “a makeup line seemed line a natural progression since people are always asking about the products I use and how I get the glow to my skin.”
In a press release announcing the new line, Jennifer said, “The capsule collection we created with Inglot is filled with all my go-to products in my favorite colors. We have everything from mascara, lipsticks, eyelashes, blush, eye shadow and of course…bronzers.” Jennifer was very hands-on in the development of the collection, providing input on everything including package design and campaign ads. And, with product names such as “Boogie Down Bronze” and “Livin’ the Highlight,” you can definitely see her influence.
The limited edition, Lopez x Inglot line has a reasonable price point, with products starting as low as $8.50. The pricey stuff is in the $26 to $49 range. The line makes its official debut on April 26 and will be available online, in Inglot stores and at select Macy’s.
As someone who has recently been using a paint sprayer with self tanning solution to attempt to get a springtime glow (I wish I was just joking about this), I’m excited to give Jennifer’s products a try. Of course, I’ve worn her clothes, shoes and sunglasses and have yet to attain her fabulousness, but I’m not ready to give up just yet.

Rodriquez is revolting, I dont understand the attraction at all!
I agree!
I read an article not too long ago talking about how he has “rehabilitated” his image. Not in my eyes.
his veneers glow in the dark
I don’t understand the concept of coming up with a new product line to give “the JLo glow.” She already presumably has the glow. Why not just work out endorsement deals for the products that she actually uses?
They probably would pay less
In defence of Inglot – some of their products (ones I’ve purchased at full price, no shill here) are good enough that I can believe she might use them irl. They’re especially good at shimmer pigments in eye stuff – sounds like her thing.
Why are many celebs doing makeup. I don’t understand?
I think because makeup is huge right now. There is so much money to be made in makeup at the moment so every has been celebrity tries to jump on the bandwagon.
What I want to know is why Lopez is always doing that p-star fish mouth thingie when posing for pictures. Makes her look so dumb and classless. (Which maybe she is, she’s dating that creepy dude after all.)
Yes! The open mouth pose is cringey.
I would like to add my voice to the “stop doing open-mouthed” poses crowd. I would also like to know why she insists on wearing fur.
Makeup contracts have always been Big Money, Halle Berry signed one in the 90’s.
The same reason models have done makeup contracts for years, the MONEY is Huge! I know a Norwegian model who sign $6million dollar makeup contract in the 90’s and she is living quite well to this day in Scandinavia somewhere. Makeup companies will pay Celebrities , movie stars even more for contracts. The Money is HUGE,
I love JLOs glow, no one does the glow like her, but JLO is getting that slight droop eye Botox look in some photos lately. She needs to lay off the Botox, but she is stunning. More power to her signing a contract. Love her!
I love her and she looks great but omg her makeup in that first pic….enough w the contouring and bronzer, j lo, you really don’t need it! You look better w out all that heavy makeup
Exactly. She doesn’t need it. She is a stunning woman. The caked-on makeup is not good advertising for her new line.
This is a good venture for her, acting not so much. I think she over does the makeup and tanning. With super heavy contouring. That pose though.
I know she can be problematic but I love her. I can’t help it. I was just turning 21 when On The 6 came out so I have a lot of nostalgia for Jenny From The Block.
I find A Rod repulsive but I think they make a good match somehow, which is…weird.
I do think they are a good match also.I have a feeling this will work out.
That show lasted three seasons?! Was it any good? I don’t know anyone who ever watched.
I think I saw a commercial for it once.
I really liked that show – admittedly I am a huge police drama fan
I did and liked it but it wasnt cancelled. When they announce a show will end before the season premieres, it’s a planned ending to a series not a cancelation. Interested in the make up line since she always glows!
I am ashamed to say I really liked it too.
I love everything about this woman, except for A-Rod, but he seems to make her happy so I just have to deal with it.
At least she didn’t marry him. Yet.
I know it sounds like any old celeb dabbling, but Inglot has a store where I live and it actually has great products, especially for eye stuff – their loose pigments and pressed eye shadows (Freedom palette) easily rival anything from MAC, and they cost less too. Also Duraline is A+++ useful for when you want to use brighter pigments or powders as eyeliner.
Her mouth is closed in a couple photos, shocking! That being said she looks super fantastic when she is made under. That photo of her with curly hair and jeans on set, she looks better than I’ve seen her look in years!
She is actually quite plain without the makeup and I think she applies it in a way that works really well for her.
Is the red dress picture her? It’s such a gorgeous picture, but nothing like like she usually does.
And she has World of Dance!!! Yayyy Jlo
The lipstick she did for Loreal was terrific. One of my favourites. I’m fair and very rosy, with purple hair, and it looks terrific on me. It looks terrific on everyone.
