This is Kate Beckinsale at the premiere of her Amazon series, The Widow, in a goofy Giambattista Valli gown that’s very short, very frou-frou and reminds us of her other poor life choices. This is glittery, it has poofy tulle all over it, it’s quite low cut and it has a giant bow at the front. At least it’s black and not some bright color that would make the bad details stand out more.
The Widow, not to be confused with the surely far superior film Widows, has season one out on Amazon Prime now. (Fix your fast forward feature Amazon!) I just watched the trailer and it involves Kate’s character searching for answers after her husband is allegedly killed in a plane crash. She thinks he may still be alive and that the plane was bombed. It’s getting mixed reviews with critics praising Kate’s performance.
Kate is of course dating Pete Davidson. She looked ashamed to be seen out with him last month, but then she made out with him courtside at a Rangers game over the weekend. As Kaiser mentioned, seeing the two of them making out is quite an appetite deterrent. But that’s Kate, she owns her bad choices and she wears them proudly.
You’ve surely seen the memes of Antoni Porowski, the food expert from Queer Eye, side eyeing these two while they’re sucking face. Pete is actually friends with Tan France, Queer Eye’s fashion guy. Tan took Pete shopping in an SNL skit and Tan was going to help Pete get outfitted for his wedding to Ariana Grande but thank goodness that didn’t happen. Do you think Tan could help Kate or does she not want help? Like is this dress as deliberately bad as her taste in men? The bad dresses could at least be a contractual obligation.

Oh and this is what she wore to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. It’s also Giambattista Valli, it’s got like sparkly random dots, a lot of layered tulle, a ridiculous train and again a dippy bow for good measure. I’m making that Chrissy Teigen face to all of this.

Best thing about Kate in The Widow? Always bouncy, swinging pony tail.
Worst? Displays nearly all emotions by parting her lips like a mouth breather.
I watched the trailer for The Widow and she straight up cannot move her face. She was not compelling at all, compounded by the fact she said “my husband” like three times in 90 seconds. Hard pass.
Ergh. She’s definitely lost her mojo.
However Valli is compensating her it’s soooo not worth it. I’m choosing to believe this is contractual because otherwise she’s lost her mind! Shes such a gorgeous woman but this fashion belongs on someone in their early 20s, it looks like she’s desperately trying to be youthful but it’s the reverse…
Agree completely….my first thought was how Chloe Grace Moretz would rock this dress.
I am going to cringe into the atmosphere at Pete and Kate for the rest of my life. He worries me so much lol at my last group therapy session (I have BPD which I believe he does too) we were talking about the importance of self and learning to be alone because when you have Borderline Personality Disorder you become absorbed in people and basically chameleon yourself to fit them and lose yourself in the purpose, exasperating your symptoms. I want him to take a self dating period where he just like, dates himself like Anne in Parks and Rec and gets himself figured out.
Good advice Cidy. My sister and mother had BPD…my sister so severely that she self-medicated with alcohol, drugs and eating disorders until she died. Mr. Jaded’s ex has it and refuses to admit she needs therapy, so she continues to stalk and harass him almost 5 years after she stormed out of a 35 year marriage. You are doing all the right things and congratulations on your hard work at curtailing this monstrous affliction.
As someone with mental health issues as well I agree. Its worrying he went from engaged after dating someone a few weeks to posting scary stuff on social media to falling for a 45 year old woman.
I sort of hope this relationship is just publicity for her Amazon show. I have Prime and I didn’t even know about it until I started to see photos of Kate and Pete with her show mentioned with the photos.
That hockey game was the most relevancy Kate has had in over a decade. (That sounded way less harsh in my head but whatever, it’s just an opinion)
I watched Widow. It was somewhat entertaining, but it was hard to watch her try and act around her frozen face lol.
I’m more bothered by all the tulle than her relationship, ha!
Looking at her always makes me sad in a way. She has the worst style, always over the top and somehow really dated. If you think her red carpet style is bad, you should see her in casual clothes – it’s literally gym tights with sky high suede stilettos and those super obvious, sausage curl extensions. Not to mention the excessive plastic surgery. These days she can’t even smile properly, her face is so full of fillers.
She has lovely bone structure and a great figure, imagine how amazing she would look if she allowed herself to age more naturally, chopped of some of the extensions and wore something more clean and modern. Like a badass pantsuit or a simple, elegant column dress.
Pete is not my type at all. But clearly he has something that women dig. I personally don’t understand why he gets such a bad rap.
As for Kate. She’s dating him for the publicity. Plain and simple. This is the most anyone has talked about her in awhile and has she has a new show to promote. For her this is a win-win. She gets to bang a much younger dude AND get press for it.
She is so pretty but that dress does her no favors.

Eh, she was married to Michael Sheen and I love him. I can’t say her choice in men is bad, this thing with Pete seems like a harmless enough fling.
Not a fan of the dress, but she does seem to love frilly party dresses.

I still believe that she and Pete have some hot, hot chemistry that we don’t know about.
Let’s face it, if he wasn’t hitting it just right, she would have already quit that and moved on to someone else. And whatever IT is that he’s bringing to the equation, she likes it. A lot. It doesn’t have to be serious, it can just be what it is. . .
