Before Christmas, there were several stories in various outlets about how Brad Pitt was going to spend his birthday and Christmas with three of his six children. Zahara is now 14 years old, and so it seems like she’s old enough to decide her custody/visitation for herself. And Zahara has opted out of spending time with Brad Pitt, just like Maddox and Pax have opted out. Now Brad only gets to see the three youngest Jolie-Pitt kids, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox. My guess is that even though Angelina has been filming The Eternals in England for several months, she still had to come “home” to LA so that she could fulfill the visitation requirements and all of that. And maybe she wanted to spend Christmas in LA. But she definitely didn’t want to spend New Year’s Eve in LA. Days after Christmas, Angelina took her four youngest kids to Ethiopia. I guess Brad didn’t get to see them after Christmas huh? Incidentally, there are some exclusive pics of Brad leaving Puerto Vallarta (a vacation spot in Mexico) on NYE, so it looks like he jetted out of LA after Christmas too. As for Angelina’s Ethiopia trip, she and Shiloh and Zahara met Ethiopia’s president:

While there, Jolie brought Shiloh and Zahara to meet with Sahle-Work Zewde, the president of Ethiopia and the first woman to hold the office. It was a special treat for Zahara, who turns 15 on Jan. 8. Their talks covered education, sanitary pad solutions to help girls continue their schooling (girls often stay home from class while menstruating due to lack of supplies), and Ethiopian culture and history. The group also discussed Jolie’s ongoing efforts to treat drug-resistant tuberculosis.
The actress and activist has funded efforts for over a decade through the Zahara Program, named after her daughter. The Jolie Pitt Foundation partnered with the Global Health Committee and the Ethiopian Federal Ministry of Health in 2009 to create an initiative to treat drug-resistant TB. Their work has led to continuing success in treating people with TB in the region.
That’s cool that she brought the younger kids to Ethiopia and that Shiloh and Zahara got to meet the president. As you can see in the photos below, Zahara seemed to get dressed up in an appropriate ensemble, while… Shiloh wore jeans and a windbreaker? I’m all for Let Shiloh Be Shiloh, but no – Angelina should have asked Shiloh to put on a better outfit. Shi looks like she’s about to hang out at the skate park. That’s my only complaint! He would be papped with them and talk about them non stop in interviews. There hasn’t even been a simple tweet of someone seeing him with the kids somewhere but he’s always seen with friends, going to concerts and now even with Jennifer. I’m sure the 3 younger ones see him at home because it’s court ordered but this has nothing to do with privacy or optics.

Angelina keeps the kids private most of the time too. She doesn’t show them at home, just at public events like this or on outings shopping or whatever.
I do find it odd that Shiloh did not dress up a bit more. It comes off as disrespectful towards the occasion. I appreciate that Angelina makes an effort to let her kids be themselves. However, part of growing up is learning how to dress appropriately for various types of occasions and events.

Was thinking the same. What an amazing experience for both kids and for Zahara in particular. That being said, from my limited experience in traveling in Ethiopia, dressing down is not a thing and for a meeting like this it may well be perceived as being disrespectful. Surprised that AJ – given her understanding of the country – allowed it, dressy pants and a jacket would have been a much better choice.
It’s very disrespectful to dress so sloppily for such an occasion in Ethiopian culture. That was a formal meeting & she should’ve had on something more formal – even basic black pants and shoes that weren’t sneakers with that jacket would’ve been okay.
Yeah I’ve met a lot of foreign dignitaries / political leaders and this made me cringe. It is not appropriate to wear casual clothes in this kind of setting. They are honouring you by inviting you to their formal chambers and you should dress to honour and respect them in turn. She should be wearing a suit of some kind with dress shoes. What she is wearing is extremely disrespectful and I’m surprised AJ let her do that.
On a seperate note, I do love that AJ has set up these charities in her children’s names and countries of origin. That she has kept them connected to their cultures. I hope they have also received language lessons to stay connected and in case they want to spend significant time in their countries. I have read that is a really important consideration for western parents adopting foreign babies – that they should enable them to communicate in what would have been their language so that when they are older they can explore their roots properly. Has she ever commented on that?

The thing about the Internet is that you can Google just about anything you want to research. If you go back through the eleven years of the Jolie-Pitt relationship you will find that the majority of pictures with the kids were of both Angie and Brad together with the kids. As I recall, the only time during their 11-plus year relationship when one parent was seen exclusively alone with the kids was when the other parent was working.
I truly don’t believe that either Angie or Brad use the kids for publicity, but that’s just my own opinion. Does Brad really need to release pictures of limited private moments just to prove to the public that he’s spending time with his kids?

Such a great legacy for all kids to follow in and carry on . Zahra has her own Foundation and so do all the other kids. It’s nice to give back,but also nice to see all kids onbord and taking life lessons while they progress the work of these foundations. Its building their characters too. Angelina at least walks the walk and talks the talk. It’s such an insparation to see her legacy is growing through her children.

@THANKS, seeing how openly he and Jennifer and their PR are connecting her and him , he fid go to her public parties. He does appear to be going back to his old life and going back to chasing her. @Brianna, the Jolie-Pitt divorce has not been finalized and there is no official/final child custody agreement, ordered by the Judge, in place. Angie and Brad are still working with the temporary child agreement set by the Judge. The only difference seems to be that Brad can now have the children overnight without supervision. He probably did push for that.
So humbling seeing an adopted child whose future was uncertain due to life’s hardships that that bio parents had to resort to putting the child in orphanage to get adopted.
Today to see the same child go back to get country of origin and meet the first female president, wow what an honour and privileged it must have been for Zahara –
It’s such a powerful message to all the haters who targeted these adopted children and their ethnicity and all due to who adopted them.

The flight for a 28-hour car drive would be longer than that. It takes us 8-hours to drive to Atlanta, but it is only an 80-90 minute flight. I think people forget that Mexico is a large country. I watched The Morning Show and it was great. Steve Carrell is so convincing as a Matt Lauer type and JA is fantastic in multi dimensional performance.

I watched TMS also and there are stellar performances including Jennifer, Steve, Mark, Billy, and Gugu. It’s a must watch for me and I’m looking forward to the next season. JA deserves the nominations for this.
As for Brad and Angie- maybe with a little more time they will be able to be friendly and co-parent their children without intermediaries. They once thought the other was the best parent in the world so there is some positive foundations to build upon.

I watched some of Dickinson clips on YT and that was alright. I don’t think the shows are going to last on the Apple thing tho.
