He’s only 40? He honestly looks way older. I thought he was pushing 50 and looked good for his age lmao.

  2. Ms Petit says:

I would LOVE to live in that space!

  3. natalia says:

He’s always been a bit too Ken doll looking to me. Like a dude in a razor advert. He’s what straight men from the past think straight women want.

    More for everyone else, then!

  4. Valiantly Varnished says:

He looks older than 40. And I have always thought he was okay-looking. His eyes bug me. They are serial killer-esque

  5. Lightpurple says:

His hairy throat always bothered me

  6. Minorbird says:

I’ve always loved Gandy, this site introduced us and I have been a fan/lover every since. I like that he drinks dark liquor and does not give a hoot about what others think.

He gives effortless, ‘it is what it is’ in every pic. Happy Birthday Lover!

I think Jane Austen is one of the most relatable writers for teens if it is taught well. My 13 year old son’s teacher must be doing something right because he asked if he could watch the episodes as he reads it in class. His 10 year old brother got hooked up and we end up discussing what is pride and prejudice in the context of the story, we chat about crushes and love etc.

  8. ME says:

I hate animal prints. I don’t know why but a Cheetah printed jacket or leggings look so cheap to me.

  9. Mrs. Peel says:

He is a beautiful man – I can’t stop staring at him!

  10. Maplesbass says:

He always looks confused in his photos. He did a series with Marks and Spencer’s and in every photo he looked like he either had a migraine or someone had just asked him a complex maybe problem

  11. Mireille says:

Meh. He’s handsome and definitely model material, but I don’t know, he’s just a little too pretty for me? Let me be vain here but if I was dating him and we were strolling along as a couple, I would be overly jealous that people would be looking at him and NOT me. Just saying that’s how I roll…

    • Frida_K says:

I dated a Versace runway model when I was younger and still living in Spain. We would walk down the street together and people would literally stop in their tracks and gape at him. It was funny at first but eventually got annoying.

Fortunately, I am formidable and it didn’t ruin my own self confidence but I could see how it would if a person were timid or not confident. Mind you, I am in no way the sort that makes people stop in their tracks and gape (though, to be fair, I caused two car accidents when I was in my early twenties, so there’s that…). I am a type, and if a person likes my type, then I am a dream come true for that person. But this guy was beautiful for anyone looking at him. He was truly a show-stopper.

I guess I didn’t care that people looked at him because the only person he looked at was me.

      Hm.

I feel like animal prints have been back for awhile now, in a big way. They are EVERYWHERE. I think they can be fun in small doses, and trashy in large ones.

I agree and I love me some leopard print. I almost always wear some sort of leopard print on most days. Whether it is a scarf, a purse, a shirt or a shirt with a touch of leopard print.

  13. SJR says:

Hey Now! Wow, that guy is gooood looking!!
He seems to be fairly down to earth too, from some interviews I’ve seen.
    Happy Birthday

  14. chitowngal says:

    Happy Birthday skanky Dylan McDermott

  15. BellaBella says:

Couldn’t get past the first minute or so of Bieber’s carpool karaoke because of 1) his defensive/protective posture of crossing his arms in front of his chest; 2) he didn’t move at all to the music; 3) he didn’t look at Corden ONCE while they were singing; 4) poor James Corden was working so hard to engage Bieber in some way and Bieber was in his solitary cocoon of barely participating. Oh and the first song sucked too.

    Worst carpool karaoke ever.

    • Anita says:

I haven’t watched, but to be fair, I think Bieber has some serious mental health issues.

    • It's a dry heave says:

Agreed. His first CPK was really funny. He was very engaged and spontaneous. This time, meh…. And that high school freshman moustache must never exist again!!!

  16. Anita says:

That is so disappointing about Elle firing E. Jean. I’ve loved her column since I was in my early teens.

  17. Abby says:

I forgot about this beautiful man. I had such a crush like 10 years ago! However, he does not look 40. At all. He looks like a well-maintained 50.

  18. It's a dry heave says:

This Gandy guy is a freak of nature: First, he looks like that and he’s STRAIGHT!!!; Second, he has a little mutt terrier named Dora that he worships—most gorgeous men have big dogs.

Men with little dogs and kitties make me melt.

  19. Joanna says:

Omg, that picture of him shirtless in the link 🤗😮😃😍😘😋

  20. Wilmarama says:

David Gandy looks like someone who will cheat on you and then blame you for having to do it.

  21. KinChicago says:

    Dear E. Jean,
You wrote a column that recommended a book that changed my life for the better. It was 20 years ago but I still have that book (with your column article neatly tucked inside) beside my bed where it makes me smile.
That gentle kindness, that humor is what has helped so very many. I realize it is tough now but know those that you have touched are with you now.
