Mother Pence and Her Husband received coronavirus vaccines this morning, and they did live on camera. They allowed news outlets into the medical center and many cable news channels covered it live. People always forget – as I do – that Mike Pence was supposed to be the Coronavirus Czar, he was in charge of the task force, a task force which basically declared “mission accomplished” in the early summer and barely did anything beyond that. Yeah, Pence is no hero, and his actions (and inactions) actively killed people. But… whatever, I’m glad he took the shot on camera. My only qualm is that Pence is too young (61) to receive the first vaccination rounds. He should have waited. But I understand why he didn’t wait – perhaps he really wanted to show those MAGA dumbf–ks that the vaccine is safe.
(He’s not wearing underwear, right? I hate that I saw that. I hate that I looked.)
Pence also implored Americans to get the vaccine, as did Dr. Fauci. Mother’s Husband refused to say whether Donald Trump would get the vaccine, or if Trump would do it on camera. All of the former presidents have said that they would be happy to take the vaccine on-camera, and Joe Biden has said the same too. Personally, I think the Bidens are the higher priority for the first round of vaccines, but again, I get that Pence is trying to convince dumbf–k MAGAts.

If it convinces the MAGAts to get vaccinated, then I’m all for it. I’m sure they would love for Cheeto to get it on camera as well but they know he’ll start dangerously screaming again about how the election was stolen from him.

Maggie Haberman on CNN said it was likely trump thought it would make him look weak to have it on camera. JFC. I have a theory that he doesn’t want to risk alienating the anti-vaxers who vote for him.

I think Trump is going to start bashing the vaccine and spouting antivax rhetoric as soon as he gets out of office. He’ll want to slow down the recovery from covid once Biden is president because it’ll look bad if everything goes from awful to rosy as soon as Biden shows up. Then he’ll say only he can fix it

Oh yeah he can! And so many people on my social media are like “you democrats better thank Trump for making the vaccine happen! And I’m not getting it—they made it too fast, can’t trust big pharma, anti-vaxx” etc. the hypocrisy and lack of logic is there already. All he has to do to undermine the vaccines is just say some little thing about them negatively. People are having a hard time getting on board as it is. There will be no motivation for him to say good things about the vaccines after he leaves – he is trying to sow discord and make Biden fail as it is.

Right?! I don’t know why, but I sort of recoiled at the sight of his upper arm. I used to work in healthcare and haven’t batted an eye at naked bodies of all shapes and sizes, but something about this MFer’s arm triggered a strange reaction.

It’s not surprising to me that the 2nd in command of the federal government got the shot early, but it still sucks that anyone in the “it’s a hoax!” crowd gets it before others.
I know, it makes my blood boil because he knew the entire time he would get top notch care and the vaccine right away when it came out so he did basically nothing. Also, their favorite anti choice spokesperson Abby whatever is out there telling everyone that the vaccine is tied to abortions so all Christians have a duty to reject it.
What kind of mental pretzel do you have to twist yourself into to say “It’s almost over”, “We’re nearing the end”, “It’s a little flu”, “85% of people that wore masks got COVID”, etc, etc, etc and cause tens of millions of people to not wear masks and carry guns in order to protest masks and infect millions of people…and then proudly stand there and claim the prize for the vaccine and make sure all your peeps get it? How to MAGA people sort out the cognitive dissonance? Serious question. I’m straining my eyeballs rolling them.

I resent the fact that politicians, many of whom are responsible for so many COVID deaths and inaction, are getting their shots before people like me, who are over 65 with high-risk medical conditions. I have no problem with medical personnel, first-responders and nursing homes going first, but I am not aware that Pence, or our dear governor Abbot, is in a high-risk category. And high-risk older people need it more than “essential” workers, which in Texas is just about everyone, mostly young healthy. By the time I wait behind all of them, I may not make it.
Orange won’t get the vaccine in front of anyone because he’s afraid he’ll wince in front of the world and look like the wittle baby we all know he is.

My first thought based on the headline was assuming a man had to give him the injection (and a woman for her) because, you know, lusts of the flesh and all that. I’m not watching the video but based on the still he definitely did.
He may be young but I’m totally on board with this, the more visible figures, particularly on the MAGA side who do this the better. I may not care whether they live or die but I do care about all the other people impacted by their horrendous stupidity.
Has anybody here received it yet? I am a contract worker covering three facilities of a big nationwide hospital group. This hospital group has a plan for vaccinating their employees, but when I was eating lunch yesterday a bunch of them were talking about how they aren’t going to get it when it’s their turn! I wanted to say “let me go pretend to be you!” because my company has already told us it has no pathway to obtain any vaccine for us. To be so fortunate to be offered the vaccine and then refuse it for their silly (in my opinion) reasons… SMH.

AM i the ONLY person here who has noticed how quickly that happened? Anyone who has received shots knows you have to push that plunger down slowly over several seconds to avoid damaging tissue and so that the liquid doesn’t squirt out. That was not a vaccine. That was AIR. I don’t believe he got it for one second. Watch the video closely. That happened TOO FAST. Thats not normal.
