Anya Taylor Joy has her Dior contract and usually it works out pretty well. I mean, Anya can wear anything and she has a model’s build and look, so Dior is a good fit for her in every way. But Dior really gave Anya a lemon-chartreuse bandeau top and a wrinkled skirt and said “you’re good.” I actually have a lot of feelings about putting a pale blonde in this color too – while it doesn’t look flat-out bad on her, it does make her look kind of sickly? You could literally put her in any other color!
Elizabeth Debicki was also done dirty by Dior. The fit of this dress, my God. Dior is supposed to be one of the best ateliers in the world! And you’re sending women out in these untailored, baggy-boobed messes??
I genuinely thought Jenny Slate looked lovely in this Rodarte. I’m surprised she went with this color and design, but it was very flattering.

The hair, makeup and colour of Debicki’s dress are all lovely.
Shame her boobs look like they’re below her elbows.
Both their faces say it all. They deserved far better than those.
Jenny looks great, but the other two women look like wardrobe malfunctions waiting to happen.
How is it possible to put a bad dress on Elizabeth Debicki? Tailor that thing to fit her! The color was lovely on her but they stopped there and just loosely wrapped a wad of fabric around her.
I don’t like any of these.
It takes a lot to make Elizabeth look bad, she usually can pull off any fashion, but that saggy dress is terrible.
Anna’s dress looks like she sewed it herself. Jenny looks great, though. I don’t like green, but it flatters her.
They look like satin prom dresses sewn for a home economics project. They’re not hideous but they’re not red carpet worthy either.
Debicki is gorgeous but somebody worked hard to make her look this bad. Tall slim women should not wear strapless Empire-waisted dresses. The color is good.
I actually really like Anya’s outfit, I just am so tired of her platinum hair. I find her stunningly beautiful but her hair washes her out so much.
Anya’s outfit would be fine in a different colour, bright yellow does not look great on platinum blondes.
My first thought was if it had to be in that color family, why not a pale lemon?
Elizabeth looks amazing – the color, jewelry, and her styling are perfect. I think the skirt of her dress could have more interest though, like sequins, tulle, or maybe even a peplum.
I don’t like Anya’s stringy bleach extensions. Looks cheap.
I feel the need to defend Debicki’s dress. The bust line is very intentional—not ill fitted. Not that one has to like it, but it’s a kind of 19th century, painterly “naked” approach to the shape, with the sex appeal being the awareness of the breasts’ natural shape and hang just barely covered. One pull of the side ribbon and she’s exposed is the design vibe. I honestly think it’s pretty hot. Lol
Elizabeths dress looks like if you stood next to her and looked down you’d see everything. Why do designers seem to hate the idea of giving women decent support for their boobs? This may be where they naturally sit but she does not look well supported there.
Anya is wearing what a regular person would to a daytime wedding or formal-ish event, it doesn’t look right for an award ceremony, but then again, celebrities have been dressing more casual lately (I can see Zendaya wearing this).
If only Jenny Slate’s dress was darker! she looks stunning regardless.
Anya’s dress doesn’t work, but I’m too distracted by her striking “accessory” in black to really notice… Good luck to them, they seem very sweet together.

My pet peeve is slouching. So, my first thought was that Elizabeth’s posture was terrible. But then I realized that she had to slouch in that dress because if she had stood up straight, she would have been flashing the whole room.

I think if the fabric had a little sheen to it, it would be much better. Anya is lovely and she’s making it work. But that’s her, not the dress.
The chartreuse dress is aggressively fine to me. It fits well enough, though I think they should have gone with a darker lip given how the blonde she’s sporting right now. You need the contrast *somewhere* if you’re going with a light color on light skin. My biggest issue was the makeup, in all actuality. They went too dark on the cheeks compared to the rest of the face, so the contour there just looks like dirt rubbed in to me because she’s so fair to begin with. The light lip doesn’t help because it draws attention to it.
Agree on Debicki and Slate.
