All things considered, it’s probably much better to marry a titled aristocrat than a royal. All of the money, none of the public service expectations. In fact, if you’re an aristocrat who does public service, it’s seen as an enormous bonus rather than “well, that was expected.” There are fewer wedding rules when it comes to aristo weddings, although from what I’ve seen, the aristocrats generally keep it pretty conservative. So it is with Hugh Grosvenor and Olivia Henson’s wedding, which happened today. Hugh is the Duke of Westminster and one of the youngest billionaires in Britain (all of it inherited wealth from a vast real estate empire). Hugh married Olivia in Chester, England, where the Grosvenors’ country estate, Eaton Hall, is located. Hugh and Olivia were married at Chester Cathedral and the whole town came out for a look at Olivia’s dress.
The bride wore a wedding gown and veil designed by British designer Emma Victoria Payne. The gown is ivory silk crepe and organza, with a scalloped edge neckline, dropped waist and a keyhole back (which is racy for stuffy British weddings). Personally, I’m not crazy about the dress, but I imagine it looks prettier in person. I think the issue is that the satin doesn’t photograph very well. I do love her tiara though – Olivia wore the Faberge Myrtle Leaf Tiara, which is a Grosvenor family piece, worn by Grosvenor brides. The bride’s “something blue” was a pair of blue heels! Her bouquet was made of flowers picked from the gardens of Eaton Hall: “meadow grass, ox-eye daisies, iris, rose, clematis, mock orange, scabious, sweet pea, astrantia, martagon lily and love in a mist.” You can read more details about Olivia’s wedding look here.
There were a few photos of Prince William’s early arrival, because he’s acting as an usher (“a starring role,” according to palace insiders). I can only imagine how many ways William will make an ass out of himself at this wedding. Hugh looked nice though – he looked quite relaxed when he arrived at the cathedral.

I liked the dress – she looked fabulous and that tiara!!! It’s better than some of the ones the BRF have. There I said it.
Congrats to the happy couple.
Me too. Overall, I liked the personal touches, the scalloped lace edging and the keyhole back. I only wish it were slightly less wrinkled and the seams were smoother, but I love the cut and how it works with the veil and shoes. And the wildflowers in her bouquet! His tie matched those flowers nicely.
I also appreciate that the picture of W is him walking away.
Meh it’s all very bland but I guess that’s how aristos roll.
I reflexively want to straighten his tie. Then again, it’s sort of keeping in theme w/ the unintended wrinkles in the bride’s dress. Rumpled country chic, I s’pose.
|
I’ve seen brides who selected their shoes for their something blue. IMO a softer, powder blue in satin fabric would have complimented the fabric in her dress & flower palette. Wondering if one of them [or both] is an Elvis fan.
This is what Keen wishes her Coronation tinfoil tiara actually looked like.
Came here to say the same thing!
Lol came to say the same thing !
In all seriousness, I LOVED Kate’s tin foil tiara.
She bagged the biggest prize of them all.
They both looked so happy – that’s the most important thing!
Me too. Loved her whole look: the tidy ballet bun, the subdued make up, the dress was gorgeous with the clean lines and the beautiful lace detail, and the open back, the veil, the tiara, all was very elegant. I only wish she had chosen stilettos not block heel as these were a bit heavy for such an elegant dress but … Everything else was perfection. Congratulations to them, hope they do a lot of good!
Her head looks great. Veil, tiara, makeup, hair. Ok dress. I don’t understand why a train, especially a ridiculously long one. But it looked pretty blowing in the wind.
Apparently the embroidery on gown and veil was hand drawn by the bride and referenced elements from one of her ancestor’s bridal outfits. Maybe that was the reason for her “ridiculously long” veil.
I like the dress except for the fit I. The shoulders. She needs a better bra.
I actually love the whole look. Very traditional but also timeless and elegant. Apparently the embroidery on the dress matches the vintage veil.
I love that she was wearing blue suede shoes too!
I was coming here to say that! She looked beautiful and I agree the whole ensemble was timeless. I agree with others that it was very reminiscent of Meghan’s dress as well. And bonus points, the lovely lady got to have some photos out there without William hulking in the background!!
I agree about timeless and reminiscent of Meghan’s dress. The lady holding up her train though?? How retro.
Yes, my first thought, she got the idea from Meghan, simple elegance.
As to timeless, I personally don’t think that the puffy shoulders will age well. When your dress has the same shoulder as that of the flower girls, something has gone astray. I don’t understand how these grown women are embracing that puffy shoulder (many guests had the same look). To me, it reads so unsophisticated and cheap. The veil is gorgeous and the flowers are the best part.
I was surprised they called the gown a dropped waist.
Right? it dips down into a v in the back but the front is not a drop-waist cut.
The People writeup was confusing — is it her great-grandmother’s veil from 1880 or a recreation? They seemed to also say it was adorned with her initials + wedding date and was hand-drawn by Ms. Payne…. agh. When AI writes your articles!
So this is what the wedding of the century looks like? Sorry, but I’m not impressed.
Lol, I’m sure they’re not the ones who named it that.
Ditto. At least we’ll finally no longer have to hear the British media going into a frenzy about this super special society event, lol.
I can’t get past that PLYWOOD WALKWAY!
What is that?? These people are literal billionaires, and they couldn’t do better than some cheap, elevated plywood with raw edges and nail holes all over the place!? Chris f-ing Jackson photographed this event and THAT’S the ambiance of this venue??
Everyone looks lovely, but that eyesore is all I see.
Yeah that threw me. The bride looks lovely and the setting is gorgeous and then…the plywood. Why????
I didn’t even notice the plywood at first and now it’s all I can see.
As a Cestrian I can tell you the entrance to our beautiful and ancient Catherdral is cobbled, and those cobbles are an absolute bitch to walk on in flats, never mind any sort of heels. Hence the platformed walk. Although I do admit it could have been prettied up, it seems to have been an after-thought, so a bit basic looking.
It does look tacky, but it’s covered in a type of carpet, so I doubt it was done last minute. I think it’s just that people who are that rich in Britain don’t flaunt it at every turn. Everything looks very low key, they don’t have to impress anyone.
stop giving publicity to people who only have their status becuase their ancestors went brothel hopping william the conquerer in the 1200s and owned slaves in the 1700s.
Errr. This is a gossip site. Please allow us to gossip.
I am totally impressed with the young bride who dared punk everyone with those blue velvet shoes! “Handcrafted by master cobblers in Spain with a focus on comfort.” Good for her! Hope she cut a rug in those babes at her reception!
I think she looks lovely on her special day. I do hope they don’t take too may pictures of Peg and ruin it.
Love love love that tiara. Elegant and stylish and simple without being plain.
I love her whole look, but the tiara is the show stopper. It’s divine!
Her dress looks a lot like Meghan’s wedding dress
Yes from the front it’s very reminiscent of Meghan’s dress.
I think the same boatneck and fabrics, silk crepe and silk organza? Both of which I absolutely love.
Though I am not a fan of the lace edges on this dress or the back, but the bride looks beautiful and classy.
Yes, it is lovely and understated like Meghan’s — until you get to the vagina cutout on the back.
Wish I could find the Miss Manners quote about brides who overtly signal sexiness in their wedding gowns don’t realize it’s redundant…
?????? @Hannah1? I also wish you could find the Miss Manner’s quote from decades ago. LOL, overt sexiness from, checks notes, someone showing *gasp*, bring on the smelling salts, their back.
I liked her wrinkled cotton style in the few photos I saw of her pre-wedding. Sadly, I do not love this wedding gown. The blue shoes were great though. It looked like they walked into and out of church on some Home Depot quality plywood that wasn’t even carpeted. Also, I haven’t seen any photo of Rose and David so maybe they skipped it. SIGH.
They look relaxed and happy and I love the blue shoes – they’re fun and lighthearted.
Totally agree with this, instantly noticed how happy they both looked. Blue shoes are a GREAT idea! And a tiara is always correct.
Eurydice, I agree that they look happy. I hope they got to enjoy their day. I liked the dress and veil and shoes. It’s a classic look and she’s beautiful. Great choice for the tiara.
The plywood? Perhaps it was brought in at the last minute when they realized the ground was soft and high heels would be sinking into the ground? Maybe.
The one thing that I always think of when I see wedding dresses is that dress Princess Di wore. I never liked it. I wonder if Di did.
All those frills were fashionable at the time. I felt so sorry for her when she got out of the carriage/car, (I can’t remember) and it was so crumpled. Why didn’t the designer point out that it would crumple easily.
For me this says it all. I am surprised that the whole thing feels understated and the guests are dressed for a more normal wedding…. If you get what I mean. And I think that says a lot for the groom…. True ‘old money’ doesn’t flash it. Maybe the reception is more flashy. I think if Kate had been well (alive) she would have stuck out as being over dressed. This feels like a love match, which must be difficult when you are a billionaire… so I wish them both every happiness in their future.
Did not like the dress at all, probably too satiny and did not fit well, but these aristos like the loose gown look. Also where I come from a wedding on a Friday would never happen.
Idk but the gown looks like a cheaper and lacey version of Meghan’s (sorry to bring her here) gown. I suppose it’s the material. The bridesmaid dress looks like something Kate or sofiesta would wear. But then that’s how it must be done in the aristo world.
That’s the dressmaker.
of course its better to marry a titled aristocrat than a royal, I think very few envy Kate or Meghan’s life. Olivia gets the better deal
Agree. Far easier to be out of the spotlight.
For all the hype I was expecting more. I don’t like the shoes but the tiara is pretty.
Sorry but it looks like she got the dress from David’s Bridal. Everything about it looks cheap, and the styling choices are terrible.
I read the lace on her dress comes from her great, great grandmother so that is a nice touch. Is it just me or is her father hot?
Love the idea of the blue shoes. They look happy and relaxed. There are some stunning photos with the veil. Congrats to newlyweds.
EDIT: did some research on how this family is so wealthy and titled. Fascinating read, his mother has ties to the Romanovs and Pushkin. And philanthropy to boot. Yes, an aristo wedding is far better than a royal one.
Yes, the mother has distant ties to the Romanovs but the family fortune didn’t come from her. An ancestor of the father married ine 12 year old heiress Mary who brought as a dowry half of central London’s lands, then marshes. These were developed into today’s Mayfair and Belgravia and bring millions a year.
She’s an attractive lady but the hair style- the way it’s combed, is not the best for the shape of her forehead.
And the carpet looks like cardboard.
The bouquet and the dress is nice.
They make a very cute couple.
The hairstyle is matronly and I agree, it is not right for her. I guess they didn’t want to distract from the hardware, but honestly, I think that tiara is ugly.
I instantly thought the hairstyle was too severe. And so are her brows…a softer look would’ve been more bridal IMO.
It’s combed flat across the head in a straight horizontal line. It makes her forehead look huge and the sides of the head even wider, like a bald Barbie. A style similar to Meghan’s, covering a little bit of the forehead would have been much more flattering for her.
That was the first thing I noticed. She doesn’t have the hairline or face shape to pull it off. Wish someone had told her…
It certainly wasn’t going anywhere and showed off the tiara.
The dress is simple but beautiful. I LOVE the flowers. Her bridesmaid is dressed like one of the bridesmaids from Four Weddings and a Funeral.
I looooove when they say they picked the flowers from their garden and list the names of the flowers!
Especially the Ox eyed daisies, one of my favourite flowers.
whoever walked her down the aisle – her dad? – is a hottie. sorry that’s all I took away from this…
That fakakta runway is going to destroy the bottom of the dress. The colour isn’t ideal for her skin tone; the fewer the comments on the sleeves, the better.
Give me half the money that she spent on that dress, and I could make her look much better.
the fakakta “runway” indeed. Heavy make-up ages her. They look like a cute, well-matched couple
I know they’re similar in age, but that last picture is very “I had him at 16, we raised each other, and I’m thrilled to be walking him down the aisle on his wedding day.”
(Especially when you add in her own hottie dad from the first picture. They look like they could be a couple more than she does with Hugh.)
Totally agree. She’s pretty, but the hair, makeup, and dress are very aging. She looks like she’s in her 40s here! A softer hair style and makeup that emphasizes her eyes would go a long way. And I think a warmer ivory would’ve been more flattering for the dress.
I love the beautiful tiara and the sassy keyhole back & blue heels. Hope they had a nice day.
I don’t like that shade of periwinkle blue for the shoes. A midnight blue would have been more striking.
Also… are those shoulder pads?
This dress which is cut very similar to Meghan’s shows that it isn’t supposed to be skin tight. I hope this can retire the arguments that M’s wedding dress was too loose. She was absolutely gorgeous on her wedding day, a classic Audrey Hepburn style.
The fit was fine on Meghan’s dress, but the colour did not complement her skin tone.
Oh no, I cannot agree! Meghan’s dress was perfection in fabric, cut and color IMO. I loved it the moment I saw it.
At the time, I knew nothing about her or any of the drama around their wedding, so I walked into that discussion blindly. I do remember all of the criticism of her dress as it seemed I was the only one who loved it, but recently someone on Celebitchy assured me that high fashion people had loved it too, so now I feel better. Lol.
I’m a sucker for a good fabric, and Meghan always delivers on that front.
@Tursitop – I have to disagree. I loved Meghan’s dress and thought she looked like a real life Disney princess.
Chiming in to also disagree. The color of Meghan’s dress was fresh and bright white and looked lovely on her.
Meghan’s dress was totally stunning, suited her beyond words.
It (and she) second on all time great wedding dresses to Grace Kelly’s.
I loved Meghan’s dress. This one has long sleeves too but that’s it. The lace and keyhole back was a bit much for me, but the two times I’ve seen her she was dressed a little different and her dress is different. I don’t love it, but they looked happy together. She looked nervous at first. I would have been. I love to see big weddings, but I don’t think I would want one.
I love the silhouette of the dress, but not the fabric. I love wedding dresses with actual sleeves.
That bouquet is gorgeous.
It appears that the flower girls were not wearing tights ; )
Yes I noticed that as well. Maybe with Kate “retired” that rule was retired too!
I don’t think her dress looks cheaper. Meghan’s was wrinkled, stiff, loose and very plain with messy hair. Certainly did not scream $80k or whatever it cost. A simple couture wedding dress should have immaculate tailoring.
Once again, chiming in to say I disagree wholly @ryan. Someone above said Meghan looked like a Disney princess. Her look was simultaneously timeless and modern. Chef kiss.
Agree Ryan. I didn’t like the stiffness of M’s dress nor the tailoring, looked as if it had been rushed and attention escaped the designer at times. I like this dress better minus the back, it’s a very elegant dress and didn’t need this detail however it’s her wedding day so whatever makes her happy.
Thank you @Jais for your classy response. Not feeling it today. Learned of the death of someone today. Someone who was a very classy, loving, nonjudgemental, lover of all people (except a**holes-even then he was gracious), earned a bronze star in times of war, worked hard towards the benefit of our city and loved his children the way every child wants to be loved. Acceptance, care, empathy and love. He fought the good fights.
Olivia was/is a lovely bride. Meghan, looked ethereal on hers & Harry’
s wedding day. It was a royal wedding but felt more personal. My speculation: it’s what Hugh & Olivia wanted and then William/BRF/BM inserted themselves into their day.imo Happy day to the newly married couple. I’m loving the sleeves of the dress and the contrast to the keyhole? in the back. Hate mullets. This is a great representation of the fun of them. Business in front, party in the back.
Yes, @Avonan, that was very satisfying! (And sorry I missed your comment when I posted.)
Meghan could never be tailored enough for some commenters; her hair was always messy.
I’m wondering why VF said Prince George was going to be William’s plus one. Nope. Although I think in future we’ll see that combo, since William is boring by himself.
They looked like two sweet chill people getting married .. nice to see.
I liked her dress – loved the keyhole in the back and the blue shoes.. lighthearted fun!
Glad we didn’t have to see the new self appointed international statesman much, after all the hysteria leading up to the wedding.
Lovely gesture of free ice cream ~ yay!
I only saw one picture of Willy and he was wrangling the mini-bridesmaids. VIP Guest indeed!!! LOL
And he looked creepily bossy. Loved the bridesmaids total lack of enthusiasm for William…
Chris Jackson.
It seems Getty UK really doesn’t have a big pool of photographers…
TBQH, I like the tiara. And the bridal bouquet is lovely.
The dress is OK, I guess. It’s not what I would have expected. Either the fabric is too thin, or something’s wrong with the undergarments, but the visible panty lines don’t work for me.
I wonder if he’s there because William was in the wedding party.
She looks lovely, the dress is not my style, I don’t think the lace on the top line looks good at all but she does look happy and relaxed so that’s great.
Hope they have a lovely time and enjoy their wedding reception !
It was very windy and so any wrinkles in the fabric are related to that.
It’s just odd how so much attention has been given to this wedding. Is it because there is no royal wedding in sight for years?
I liked her tiara and overall her look won’t seem dated. And the groom looks happy so that’s good too.
Yes, that’s the most important thing, they both look genuinely happy.
Because there are very few young dukes getting married, unlike in historical romance
Oh no it doesn’t fit, doesn’t she have a tailor? Just kidding. I hope she enjoyed the special day. Dress reads like a nightgown but what do i know about aristo fashion.
Whoever is holding her train in that one picture understood the assignment. She’s doing a great job, she’s looking happy, and is an unassuming but lovely outfit and sensible heels. No notes.
Oh wow, I so wanted to like this dress….veil is perfect, quite dramatic but she’s marrying a billionaire so she gets a pass…the tiara is beautiful….
But I HATE the back keyhole, it cheapens the entire look. Ugh. And the color of the dress isn’t right for her, I agree; the hairstyle is too severe; and the pink nails? How common!
If they’re happy (for as long as aristo marriages are happy, eg until after the heir and the spare are born) then that’s all that matters, but I would have thought Hugh would have picked someone a bit more classy? This reads mall bridal to me….
(Posted this above re the “vagina cutout” but I think it bears repeating:)
Wish I could find the Miss Manners quote about brides who overtly signal sexiness in their wedding gowns don’t realize it’s redundant…
First of all, I hope that all of Kate’s supporters take note that the bridesmaids did NOT wear tights.
Second, looking at the high-res photos, I couldn’t believe the mass of wrinkles under the bride’s eyes. Is this from too much grouse shooting? Doesn’t she ever wear moisturizer? Sunglasses? She looked older than her 31 years.
Finally, loved the tiara and the veil.
Lovely bouquet.
Dress is giving polyester satin 1980s. Shudder.
The bouquet is stunning!
My question is “Who was the dish walking with him?” Yummy.
William did not bring George. George would not be in a controlled environment at a sports event. More chance at the wedding of his being asked about his mother. Plus the 2 younger children not being there would raise some questions
It’s a school day.
They are doing exams.
Would be in a controlled environment at a,sports event
Too haggard and wrinkled for a 31 year old and as a bride she probably must have been prepped for days. The shoes are too clunky . I read that the lady fiddling with the veil and train is her dress designer . Kate wasn’t there but there are write ups saying Olivia is a Kate look alike and trying to pin other similarities..like their mothers have almost the same name and aristocratic connections. This is the first I read about Carole Middleton being related to the Queen mums family ..oh please . This girl has an actual job and seems to have an actual brain .
@Iolanthe: Yes, Olivia speaks two foreign languages and works for a B Corp. What a pity we don’t get women with such a work ethic marrying into the royal family.
@Maremotrice, the RF did get a woman of substance & work ethic to marry in. Her name is Meghan & she speaks french & spanish, she had a very successful career as an actress on a top rated cable show which is now the #1 series on Netflix. She worked with the US Embassy, worked with the UN, traveled with the US military to Afganistan, modeled, designed a clothing line, ran a successful blog with 3 million followers & more. Sadly, the RF didn’t want such charisma & success overshadowing them, so here we are.
@MerryGirl love, love. Plus, Meghan graduated with a double major from Northwestern University. Not a small feat. Her intelligence threatened the palaces imbeciles. Not her husband though, he was reverent with her background/achievements. Le sigh. The BRF could have had it all.
Strange messaging from posters. Kate and Olivia look nothing alike other than they both have brown hair.lol The wedding couple look like they were happy for their day. That’s the news. Oops, wind made an appearance. Mother Nature. Not referencing TOB.
Don’t know who these people were until the UK tabloids made them part of royal family drama. Hope they have a nice day out and can then retreat back to their wealthy somewhat private life. It’s really weird how some people are picking apart this event because the tabloids made it seem like Harry was snubbed and tried to pull focus to Willie, which is all nonsense. It’s really childish to attack these people over their private wedding.
“until the UK tabloids made them part of royal family drama.”
So the Rocksavages ended up having to defend the Chinese antiques in their house and now this wedding, hyped for months as the wedding of the year and royal adjacent, had Stop Oil protesters spray the event with fire extinguishers when the couple never ‘snubbed Harry’ in the first place and just wanted their happy day come off quietly with friends and family. They wouldn’t have seen it as a target in the first place if William hadn’t been bragging about it so openly in the press at the couple’s expense. William is a menace! William’s one sided war with his brother is ruining everything.
And what does that say about the security situation? This was just a toff wedding, not a royal one, they weren’t on there guard for this possibility but the Prince of Wales, next in line to the throne, was present. What if that spray had been something poisonous or corrosive? This couple weren’t looking to have this much public attention for their wedding, Harry declined out of that knowledge -their own Ravec fight aside just them being there would have made a circus atmosphere, too much press intrusion and a threat level off the charts, William should have know this too and not blathered on and on about being ‘the star’ of this wedding with having more protection in place for all their sakes.
I stand corrected, there were security people and some of them visibly armed too.
I definitely think this wedding was so hyped up because William was using it and his friendship with the groom to score petty points against Harry in the press, to the point Harry had to comment on declining a wedding invite. Then some Harry fans thought this aristo guy was being shady so now they’re just dunking on the wedding. It’s like a bad sequel to “Wedding Crashers”. Side note, I definitely think rich Americans, whether WASP or tech billionaires, are more curated and glam with their weddings. Never hope to hear about this again 🙄.
Agree @L4Frimaire. +1000
I don’t know about any of their current relationships with Harry & William. Certainly not going to buy what the BM attempts to sell for the BRF. Hugh & Olivia look like they are quite happy marrying one another. Much like a wedding we saw 5/19/2018. Happiness. I like the dress, the sleeves made me smile and the flowers. Oops-great tiara too.
The royal family/BM should not have made this part of their drama. Eff William and his neediness.
400 guests required 10 ushers but I am SURE Willy was TOP usher!!
She looks way older than him and is not particularly pretty. But at least she is stylish in her own wedding
I thought older. She may have gone too far with dieting for the big day (no idea what she was like before). But she looked gorgeous in her dress. She has a 60s look to me. Not in her 60s, but of the 60s! Agh. It’s the witching hour with kids wanting that thing called food.
Welcome back Sparrow1! (The artist formally known as Sparrow) 😉
Hi Minnieder! Ha ha. Yes, I had a wobble yesterday when some other Sparrow turned up. I didn’t want people thinking I had different opinions from usual. I felt a duty of care! Thought of calling myself Owl or Pigeon. But hell I’m sticking with sparrow1.
Handsome couple! She is a beautiful bride.
Agreed! And they look happy. Best wishes!
Gorgeous dress. Awful shoes. She’s lovely looking, but only 31. I couldn’t believe that. I assumed much older. Perhaps she over dieted/was dehydrated. He looked wonderful. The gift to the town was very touching and stylish. And best of all, they look in love.
So, was Hughie on a break from Harriet when he met this woman? That had to sting, being strung along for over a decade by a boyfriend to have him turn around and marry someone else so relatively quickly. Oh well, my thoughts are with Harriet today.
@May Hughie and Harriet sound a lot like William and Kate’s decade-long, on-and-off relationship. So don’t feel sorry for Harriet. She might’ve dodged a bullet. At the end of the day, sometimes people are not right for each other, and it takes one person to finally put the nail in the coffin. Harriet will be fine.
No doubt Harriet dodged a bullet. However, it’s always sad when a couple is together for a long time and then one of them turns around and gets engaged to someone else very quickly. Not a fan of Beatrice but I did feel for her when her long time ex got married and had a baby so soon after their breakup. I see it as a kind of public slap in the face.
Beatrice should have dumped him. There probably were red flags that she ignored.
I hope Harriet lands with a good man just like Beatrice. Having been left on the shelf after a decade of on and off might be a blessing in disguise but it must be difficult to see her ex turn around and marry another woman so quickly.
After dating Harriet for ten years, who was from a very ordinary background, he dumped her and went for a posh background girl.
It is disappointing to see him dump an ordinary woman for a posh one. I think the ugly term the aristocratic set use for someone like poor Harriet is “bed warmer.” Usually, the term refers to a woman who is never going to be the bride for reasons that have nothing to do with her as a person.
I hope Harriet finds a man who loves her to pieces and with whom she is happier than she ever was with Hugh. Someone who shows her that she had a lucky escape.
There are some photos of Hugh and Harriet on lipstick alley. Hugh looked a lot happier with Harriet than he looks with Olivia on his wedding day.Hugh glowed in a lot of those photos.
Her hairdo is stilted and seems much too old for her. I love the back cutout of the otherwise unremarkable dress. Love the shoes!
Now that’s a tiara!! Lovely veil and bouquet. As someone who is obsessed with shoes, I flove the blue suede.
Too much train, too hippy-dippy.
The new Westminsters had protesters at the wedding spraying smoke to protest the use of oil. Bad luck for the bride and groom. They were probably there because of William.
X app has a snap saying Rose Banbury was invited to the wedding. No pics though.
Is she a cougar?
I can’t believe the bride and groom are 31 and 33 respectively – I thought they were both in their 40’s. British people really do age like milk. But they seem happy, so I hope it all works out and isn’t he or his family worth like 10 billion dollars?
I wonder if any Middletons were invited or if he kept away from them.
I actually I like her dress , it’s elegant, simple. Doesn’t overpower the bride.
One thing I’ve learned throughout the British aristocracy history, many are cash poor. Billionaires on paper. I guess they have a fancy title to go with it to showcase to the world to make it seem they’re important in a more and more AI era. When in reality they’re just stagnant in the 21st century.
I’m not a fan of the gown at all, but as long as she loves it, that’s all that’s important. The tiara is stunning. I like her makeup and earrings. I love the flowers. That’s about it. She doesn’t look like she’s in her early 30s. She looks like she’s in her 40s in these photos.
Interesting how this real tiara looks a lot like the Claire’s Boutique version that KKKate wore. Does her copy keening know no bounds?? And where are the stories about the star egg headed usher?
“The whole town”? Oh please. From the pics it looks like a handful of the few older residents who still care about the BRF. Chester’s a city and it looks like most of the residents had better things to do.
Actually, the city centre was rammed with people – far busier than usual – and there were lengthy queues for the free ice cream and doughnuts. It was a beautiful sunny day and there was a really festive atmosphere.
Admittedly people working in town may not have been so enthusiastic.
