Here are more photos of the Princess of Wales out and about on Thursday. She did TWO events, y’all! First, she visited the Sudbury Silk Mills, then she visited Marina Mill. At Marina Mill, they let Kate do some silk-screening skits for a good photo-op and she really enjoyed it. Somewhat hilariously, she was given a Marina Mill apron for her skit, only the aprons are emblazoned with the mill’s initials: MM. She’s actually “MS” for Meghan Sussex now, Kate!!
As I said yesterday, I actually liked Kate’s Bella Freud suit. It was a good cut for her figure, it looked unfussy, clean and modern. I ended up liking the look so much more without the jacket though – Kate removed her blazer and revealed her slim-cut black sweater, and she should absolutely wear outfits like this more often – a good pair of trousers with a fitted sweater. It’s such a nice business-casual look.
If you’re wondering if Kate’s fans or supporters are still infantilizing her to a crazy degree, look no further than the reaction to Kate pulling back her hair at Marina Mill. She didn’t want her weave hanging down for her photo-op, so she quickly pulled her hair back in a loose chignon. Like millions of women do multiple times every day. The “trick” of it was that Kate apparently didn’t use a clip or a hair tie. She literally just used her too-long extensions to “tie” her hair back. They’re acting like she turned water into wine.

Kate broke royal protocol by awkwardly tying her hair up in public. Royals visiting a mill should have been prepared by putting their hair up whilst at home.
Why does she do that? It looks terrible. It makes her look like a drunk
RBF? Since the paps are always around, she can’t afford to appear bored or unpleasant, so she keeps her mouth open when she worries she might be frowning or scowling?
So she decided that she was going to go to a place she likes to do a photo op? Doesn’t she have any patronages she could have gone to to bring attention to them? Oops what am I saying the don’t help anyone or any place they only help themselves to some PR when Harry is in town.

I thought the exact same thing when I saw this on twitter yesterday. However after seeing this here I realized the apron she had on ahd MM. Do you think she told somone to find a crafty thing she could do where she would be seen in an MM and they found this with a logo. Do you think she has had this event in mind as soon as WLM dropped and she realized doing crafty things was going to be featured in the near future and they have been saving this one just for the occasion that Harry was in England.

Sorry Barb Mill I only saw your comment just now. Willi and Kate are very reactive when it comes to Harry and Meghan. Harry and Meghan announce events, Willi and Kate jump into gear and their team scramble to put a program together copying Harry and Meghan as close as possible. I do not think that Willi and Kate’s team thought about the merchandise or the apron and how it would look like. Imo none of Willi and Kate’s events this week were thoroughly planned. The plan was to get Kate out as much as possible to take the limelight of Harry and his events. Willi and Kate are just petty. However Willi and Kate’s plan has not worked anyway.
Poor Willi and Kate have again a busy week ahead with Trump’s visit next week.

Alarmjaguar, that was my immediate thought when I saw her with her hair back. She really needs to get a shorter haircut and lose the blond(ish) hair. What a difference it makes in these pictures.
She actually looked like she was interested, having fun, and her proud laughter when she managed to pull the thingy over the fabric (no idea what the process is called) was genuine. The videos were lovely, and that’s the first time in 8 years (at least) I truly enjoyed watching her doing something.

Her hair looks so much better pulled back. And my hair is thin and just past my shoulders and I can still pull it up without a hair tie like that, lol. It’s not that hard especially if you’re not moving around a lot – like it wouldn’t work for going for a run but its fine for sitting at the computer or something.
Is it just me or can you still totally see the wiglet line though? if anything its more obvious. And – if she knew she was going to be doing something like this – why not just wear your hair up to start with? it would have looked so much better.
I find it amusing because anyone who has had long hair knows how to tie it back without a clip or band it isn’t some great accomplishment 🙄
If your hair is very thick the bun won’t stay in place for long though. That’s usually why the elastic is needed.

The derangers are pretending this means she wasn’t wearing extensions. And twisting your hair in a bun is very easy to do. Teens do it in high school and then stick a pencil in it.
Yes, I agree that most people with long hair know how to tie it back without an elastic (when I had long hair, I could never find an elastic when I needed one!). Sad that apparently that was the biggest takeaway the rota could come up with for this event.
Am I crazy to think that maybe Kate wanted to “prove” that she wasn’t wearing a full wig by tying her hair back? Because yes, even if you didn’t expect to participate in an activity like silk-screening, deciding to visit not one but two working factories with those long sausage curls floating around seems hazardous to say the least.
Yes, this was absolutely done on purpose to show she wasn’t wearing a wig… on that day. Over on Twitter, her fans can’t get enough of it, it’s like she ran a marathon or something. As others said, she could still have extensions in, but there’s still pretending she hung the moon.
She did a low bun at the base of her neck which is what you would do with extensions. She couldn’t do a ponytail or bun on the top of her head because the extensions would be an issue.
So she never proved her hair was all real with this. Just that she’s so disorganized she can’t go to an event with her hair properly done for the task.
It seems to me she didn’t read her briefing papers OR this appearance was so hastily arranged there were no briefing papers. What is more astonishing to me is that she took her jacket off. When has she ever done that!?
She looks so more more professional and put together with her hair back. It’s so simple.

I think so, too. She has always seemed nervous and unable to spontaneously say anything of substance, but she knows the spotlight is on her and she needs to look congenial and interested, so she compensates by overly large theatrical laughing and smiling. This would all look more natural if she wasn’t so reliant on botox in the forehead, as the eyebrows end up making a large laugh or grin Joker-esque.
I don’t think she leaves the house without having taken something.
I don’t know…watching the video of her I thought she’s not so bad. But then I thought again how can she do so little for her country. She COULD do this and be a real person who does good – it’s like she chooses not to. Highlighting these places and craftmaking is a wonderful thing and she seemed to engage with people in a genuinely interested way. I wish she would do more of this — but hope springs eternal I guess.
Kate treated Meghan badly and Meghan could have been her friend. Kate has bad speech and goes in for jazz hands and wide grins. She makes events about herself
Remember when H said in Spare (paraphrased) that Senior Royals curtail the work of others? K gets attention (that’s why she was sent out so much the past week..3 engagements, I think? One w/W and two on her own). C & W resent anyone who gets attention. I assume that’s on them, the lack of work. She simply does as she’s told. Some events she enjoys more than others. She has never done enough to get good at anything, and the Sr. Royals like it that way. She’s been slotted in where THEY think she should be, areas that won’t attract too much attention (babies). She’s a shadow of a person, a shell of a person, she is not her own person.
She could never have truly understood what her mother was pushing her towards and teaching her to covet; jewels and vacations above humanity. This is neither in support of her or derogatory towards her. This is what I see as straight forward fact. When she is good, she is basically good. When she is bad, she is horrid.
I can not imagine living life that way: doing what you are told, saying what they tell you to say, going where they want you to go. It sounds so awful.
It used to be reported the Queen nagged Kate to do more royal duties and she refused.
The outfit itself is lovely, but without a jacket it draws attention to how skeletal she is. There’s even loose skin above her elbows on her arm. She looks as thin as Amy Winehouse at her skinniest. Which was scary thin. That becomes heart attack territory. I’m no fan, but I truly hope she has some kind of effective support around her.

Yes. Royal life is so hard on the married-ins, particularly women. Staying in this family is taking its toll.
I remember when Kate first married William. I loved her dress (I know the lace got a lot of flack but I loved her dress. For the record I prefer Meghan’s dress but I can’t believe I am saying this my favourite wedding look the last decade was actually gulp… Tiffany Trump. I digress…) Anyway Will and Kate took that trip to Canada and were cute together he gave her his jacket when she was cold. I liked her back then. She seemed genuinely happy.
Boy did she miss a golden opportunity to be a genuine friend to Meghan and a great support system, and that would be reciprocated tenfold now. Just think how much we would have loved her had she been proud of Meghan’s accomplishments, supporter her, loved her SIL and Harry and Meghan’s kids. But she just couldn’t get out of her own way. The jealousy has eaten away at her. And it is a real shame because even though Meghan is the star there was room for them to both shine in their own way.
You cannot survive this family without a support system. Meghan and Harry have each other and they left seeing the toxicity of it all. Who does Kate have? I don’t think Carole is a good support. There’s Pippa, but she appears busy with her own life. She missed out on a great friend in Meghan. Because it looks like Meghan really knows how to listen and be there for her friends. It’s one of Meghan’s best qualities. Huge loss for Kate. She was hung up on her English Rose status and hell bent on taking Meghan down a peg or two. And making her suffer.
But she’s the one suffering now. All of it is sad really.
I agree with everything, especially after seeing how happy Harry is doing engagements in the UK this week. It could’ve been amazing and both Meghan and Kate are so different they could’ve shone in their own way.
But given Kate’s background of waiting around for William for years while he dated many other women, Kate is incapable of seeing other women as friends. She only sees women as competition. That’s what happened with Meghan. She couldn’t see past her own ego and the long-term good it would’ve been for the family, kids as cousins, monarchy, etc. She is used to being the only woman there and did whatever she could to drive Meghan out.
Just speaking to the wedding dress, I didn’t mind the lace at all. It was more the boob darts for me.
I agree Jais the boob darts were unfortunate! But the dress photographed beautifully. I preferred the original on Grace Kelly but it was just the right amount of Grace Kelly vibes.
Dee you are so right. She can’t help herself. I have never seen her with any girlfriends. You nailed it she wanted to be the only woman in her age range and it must have burned that Meghan was so darn beautiful and warm. She really could use some real friends right about now. When Diana and Fergie had each other they would have these giggle fest at inopportune moments at serious engagements. It used to crack me up. It must be very lonely being Kate given how cold and calculating William is.
Every time I see her hair it looks more fake. Like dolls hair! It has that artificial looking gloss that they put on hair extensions. She couldn’t make it anymore obvious

I put my hair up without a hair tie or clip ALL THE TIME. It’s simply a matter of twisting it around a bit and tucking the ends in. Duh, every woman with even slightly long hair knows this. And my hair is just past my shoulders and less thick than hers (maybe because I don’t wear extensions, but I have no beef with those who do).
Her arms are scary thin in these pictures. It’s not normal for your forearms to be skinnier than your upper arms.

I like when she does these visits to highlight a craft or an industry. Much more meaningful than christening ships or photo ops with school kids. This is the sort of thing she should be doing five days a week.

Rebecca English can’t be trusted to write a hard hitting piece on the Royal Family if she’s going to praise Kate for tying her weave/wig into a knot. Hers and the derangers’ reaction to this was weird. I think the more interesting thing about this engagement was Kate’s interaction with Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton. She went in for a hug when he was trying to bow to her. It’s clear their relationship is one of principal and servant despite him being George’s godfather but she was trying to make it seem like they were close.
Becky English could have her family murdered by Kate and she would still praise them. It really is demeaning how much the rota humiliate themselves to keep access to the royals. What’s going on in DC is awful too, but the rota have been doing this for decades. And few question it.
My daughter has been doing the hair thing since she was five. I used to tease her and say, “Nice hat.” I didn’t realize that this hair magic was proof my daughter is a genius! I suppose I should have figured it out sooner. Everyone in the neighborhood was talking about it… Seriously, this is the best they have to say about this useless woman?

Only somebody as shameless as Becky English could praise Kate for tying up her own wiglet. If KP had any sense, they would get Kate to do more engagements like these. It makes her look busy, even when the task at hand is anything but.
Didn’t Harry and Meghan say in their special that it wasn’t up to the individual royal on how much “work” they do, but that work was limited to make higher-ups look good?
That was the case when they were all funded (lol not Meghan of course) by Charles. He could tell them not to do certain things. William and Kate can do whatever they want to do or not do at this point.
I’m 💯 certain William does whatever he wants, but, for me, what’s happening with this woman is a complete mystery. And maybe that’s the real problem: The writers of The British Royal Family can’t figure out Kate’s character either now that the children are growing up and her only real job as Royal uterus is complete.
If she actually did events like this once or twice a week and dug a little deeper, people would treat her as more than what outfit she wears or what silly hairpieces she has in. It took Harry coming over there for her to do more in this week than she’s done in months. It’s obvious she’s able to but for some reason doesn’t. The bar is very low for her, and she gets away with so little, so she’d be lauded. Kate and William need to stop watching, attacking and complaining about what the Sussexes do and just get out there and do their job, cut the ribbons, shake some hands. They can start by going down the list of their patronages.
Her arms look like matchsticks. She’s skinny to the point of looking gaunt. That’s why she grins so maniacally, because her face looks drawn and prematurely aged when she’s not gurning.

Whatever, imagine the stress of always having to be alert to being seen looking rough and consequent forced smiles. Awful.

Whatever the cause of her illness, which has left her looking haggard and agonised for years, she should be relieved of public duties. It’s hard to watch her trying to fulfil the requirements. Kate will never measure up. She lives in an environment that does everything it can to make her feel inadequate. No matter what she does or doesn’t do.
I just hate it when women live like this and no one reaches out a hand to help. No one should have to live like that.
I bet she’s been offered all kinds of help, but she’s almost certainly not interested. I believe she exists now chiefly to thwart W’s plans for a public life away from her and to live openly with a new partner.

I don’t particularly like this woman, but it’s nice to see her actually having fun. She does best when it’s Action Cathy doing sports or actively making something that takes concentration + skill.
She should do more of these sort of engagements and less of the pose/speech keen stuff.
It is clear that Kate needs to stop obsessing over Diana or Meghan and do something she is actually interested in . Even the Duchess of Kent , that other Katharine, was passionate about music and even taught music to children for some years . Problem with Kate is she really has no purpose ..we know nothing of her interests , except for ripping off Meghans style ..what does she read , what does she watch ,does she do anything at all ? She had all the time in the world to work at patronages that appealed to her ,but apart from pursuing William , copy catting and competing with every woman in sight , what are her goals? Even Camilla has her horses , books, a circle of friends , shared interests with both her husband’s. Never seen Kate being authentic or saying something spontaneous. Even with her children she seems stiff ..they are rapidly outgrowing her . She is very alone and its all her own doing ..only the narcissism ,meanness and malice were real .
